WLC-4402 : Users complaint slow down load

Hello
My users complaint the down load speed is slow when using wireless. I checked and indeed is slow.
Before this happen, my WLC is running 802.11b/g. So my thought maybe the 802.11b can slow down
on the users so I changed WLAN to run on 802.11g only. Well, it is still slow. If anyone has any idea
on this is appreciated.
The WLC-4402 is running on version 4.1.185 and all 19 LAPs is 1242AG with IOS version 12.4(3g)JA2

"Channel Utilization is depending on what channel and is changing from time to time.
Channel 1 is between 17 and 62, Channel 6 is between 9 and 33, and Channel 11 is between 28 and 45"
Do your APs have 802.11a radios? If so, move your asscoation to the 802.11a side and run your test... Your channel utlization is high, very high. I assume you have 1 PHY rate set to mandatory and lower data rates are enabled 1,2,5.5 ?
Lets clean up the utilization first and see the results before you go further...
Test the 802.11a side ...

Slow down loads with ios 5.1

I have an iPad2 and iPhone4, Is anyone experiencing slower down loads speeds for Apps and Music under iOS 5.1?

The app is called Speed Test. I think that is what Diavonex is referring to. I have the app. I don't know that is absolutely reliable either or all that accurate. It is however, a starting point.
I think you just might experiencing what a lot of users are seeing - an overload on all of the Apple servers. With the new iOS to download and all of the apps that now need to be updated - things were a little sluggish for me for a couple of days. My download speeds for the app store seem pretty good now.
Have you even tried restarting or resetting your iPad to see if that helps?
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Reason is Very Very Slow down load speed ??? My Ipad Minin -Cellular 64GB when connected to our home Telstra high-speed Wi-Fi Internet has a maximum download speed of say 2Mbps while my laptop pro (side by side comparison) is downloading at 8Mbps ?? I am using a Telstra Technicolour :

Slow down loading

new apple tv is so slow to watch a preview or down load a movie I checked my speed on speed test . net and my cable speed was over 15

As I said also rule out interference, also there could be ISP throttling either specific to the device, or at certain times etc.

Ok lets do it,...
First you need to identify which layout you are using for the view to end users.
This can be known from clicking the Rendering Information link on the iview.
To get Rendering Information , you need to add the admin user id to WDFProxy.
System Administration - > System Configuration -> Knowledge Management -> Content Administration - >
Content Management -> User Interface -> (Advanced Settings)Debugging Settings -> WDFProxy
You need to enable Rendering information and enter the user id of the administrator.
After identifying the layout, we need to edit the collection renderer of the layout.
At this point, if you are not using any custom layout set, I would recommend you to do an
Advanced Copy of the layout and edit the settings.
System Administration - > System Configuration -> Knowledge Management -> Content Administration - >
Content Management -> User Interface ->Settings->Layout Set
Find the layout set and select it.
Go to Collection Renderer and select the Collection List Renderer attached to it.
In the Displayed Properties remove the (contentLink) modifier for your displayname property.

My Iphone 4 is not restoring, specifically I have slow down load speeds and it is not completeing the download?

I have gotten results from, the down load will not start, to I get over 500MB of the 780MB than it stops and I lose it all. I have tried to do small blcks and pause, but whenever I pause the download it starts from the begining again. According to Itunes, my phone and Itunes are up to date. Does anyone have any ideas to help break up the download so I can get it in pieces and eventually have the full update to restore to?

Firefox version 3.618 is slowing down loading pages. How do I downgrade to the version before this? I have windows xp

Ever since my system installed Firefox 3.618, web pages are very slow to load, switch pages, gmail is slower, and when it first comes up, there is a funny black area on the menu bar where I can barely see the links to click for gmail, etc., but the black bar disappears when it switches to a new page. I have windows xp, and want to downgrade to the version before 3.618. Thank you.

Multiple user connections slowing down server

I'm running OSX server (latest version) for file sharing & server time machine backups for 7 users. Over time the number of duplicate connected users increases to crazy levels (3,299 total connections for only 7 users this morning!)
I'm guessing that time machine is making a connection when it backs up but doesn't release the share when it's finished and creates a new one every time a machine backs up, hence the number of duplicate shares increases until file sharing is shut down & the number resets.
Has anyone else found this and found a way to prevent these duplicate connections?

We're having a very similar issue. Intel (Nehalem) Xserve running 10.5.8 (9L34). Right after the holiday weekend, AFP clients (all of them) get dropped every 5-10 minutes and their status in Server Admin becomes "Disabled/Asleep". None of the Macs were asleep at the time. I checked idle disconnect setting and it's off. When the client connects again, a new item appears in status list as "normal" until it too is kicked off. This goes on until either I disconnect the phantom clients or restarts AFP. Doesn't seem to affect SMB clients as far as I can tell. A possibly related issue is that the computer list in ARD also goes "gray" at roughly the same time users get kicked. At first I thought it's a network issue since most of the AFP clients are on their own switch while the SMB clients are on another. But the 2 Macs grouped with the SMB clients are getting kicked too. Internet connectivity is unaffected to clients and server. I connected 2 of the Macs to the server via SMB and the connections remain solid. Been pulling my hair out trying to figure this one out. If anyone has any ideas/solutions we would very much appreciate your help!

Actually, there was no usb device hooked up, it was my 12" powerbook using the trackpad. Actually, it slightly improved when I hooked up my bluetooth mouse. But the problem still remained

since I did the 2.0.1 update, my rentals take hours before I can watch, use to be, I would rent and they would be available in a few minutes
I can still stream movies from iTunes, with no delay, and syncing seems to be just as fast

probably just coincidence that you have slowness after update.
the most likely bottle neck will be your ISP... they could be throttling certain traffic, and the appletv downloads could be included in that.
if this is the case, there is nothing you can do about it.

Once you have tapped to install the app and input your apple ID it will appead on the home screen, where you will see a progress bar as it downloads and installs, that app should be fairly small so it should be a minutes or less on a good connection. If you can't see it, swipe left a few times until you see a search bar, type in the app name and will search the iPad for it

Ungodly slow down load

I am downloading an 1.64gb movie and it is saying 34 hours to download i can get 15mbs on steam why not itunes any ideas on how to fix it, it is a collage connection so no router should be direct line.

Either something on your PC is causing it, or something on your ISP or an Apple server is throttling it.
If you boot your PC into safe mode with networking that should rule out software conflicts on the PC.
It's really difficult for a typical home user to troubleshoot. If you get disgusted, ask Apple for a refund.

Slow down load speed

I have 2007 intel imac running lion.My broadband speed is 4.5mbs to the router but my download speed is not sufficient to stream internet films without buffering or grainy pictures.Any suggestions ?

Reset the modem & router and restart the computer. Probably an issue with your ISP and has nothing at all to do with the iMac or OS X>

Slooow down load

I live 3 miles from my local exchange which in the sceam of things is not a great distance but im being told by BT that its the last 10 feet of cable from the main socket to the PC thats giving me my slow down load.
What hope have I got to move into the 21st century reguarding BB speed if its the last 10 feet of wire thats giving me the slow speed. Cant BT make there cable from the pole to the house 10 feet longer so the wire will reach the other side of the room?
You seem to be able to bounce signals from satalite to satalite hundreds of miles away but cant get me a down load from 3 miles and 10 feet.
Come on BT you are supposed to be a state of the art company and you cant help, I pay for the best you have to offer and it's "MY" 10 feet of wire that you cant get what I think im paying for that most take for granted, god knows what speed I will get when i buy two more laptops that will connect via your wireless hub, or may be it will not work at all.
Is it time I moved to a new service provider that will reduce my out going costs for BB and phone for the same speed???

This is actually a common complaint on this forum even though it is not obvious. I presume you had an OpenReach technician turn up, checked the line from your master socket, told you there was nothing wrong with your telephone line and then said it was your internal wiring.
If you go on the BT Broadband fault site, one of the problems they raise is internal wiring of the house being the problem.
Well, in actual fact I went through the same thing and actually had to prove that there was nothing wrong with my internal wiring. I even went and connected the ADSL router to the master socket to prove the point.
This blaming of the internal cable is a common tactic of OpenReach.
Now to be fair on my part, I do not know anything about your internal 10 feet of wire you mention. If you could tell me a bit more about the cable, like what type cable it is, and how it is attached to the master socket and then at the remote end, I can give you some suggestions or even tell you if the OpenReach technician is telling you a load of nonsense.
