our client need it urgently, on cisco web that image is deffered already. cant download any longer

but for this case we already implemented 7.5.102.0 on all WLCs, our n+1 device that having problem that need that image, at this momment we cant upgrade/change the code.

Disk Utility: Restore Failure-Source image needs to be scanned for restore.

Hello guys,
I have a .dmg (source image) that I have created from a DVD by myself (read-only format).
I am trying to restore it to a destination and a Restore Failure notification pops-up as follow:
"Restore Failure
Could not find any scan information. The source image needs to be imagescanned/scanned for restore"
I am quite new to Mac. Half of the time, I don't really know what I am doing - but just relying on the 'Help Menu', some research for guides on the internet and most of all read-on most of the posting here in the Apple Forum for what I want to do or might have encountered. Lastly to hopefully also speak the Mac language. For example - What's a disk image? What a .dmg? What's a source image? and etc. ~Lost~
So for this case, I am totally lost as I can't seems to understand what does the Restore Failure notification mean at all as I quote above. What does it mean by the Source image needs to be imagescanned/scanned for restore? What do I do from there? How do I scanned my source image? Is there a steps that I miss out while creating .dmg from the DVD?
Could not find any scan information? What scan information? Where do I go to asked for scan information?
I am so lost that I don't even know the right question to ask or begin with.
I know what I want to do and believe it can be done with Mac. But I just doesn't seems to understand the concept of how it really works yet but to just follow blindly throughout the guides.
So please help me if possible.

Hi,
If you open Disk Utility, select the Image in the disk util sidebar, and click on Images > Scan for restore... in the menu bar, it will take care of it for you. After that you can perform a restore as you were trying to do.
They do this so that disk util can verify your data after the restore to make sure it copied exactly.

"Thumbnail" image need to be the same image as the "Hero Image?"

When using the slide show widget does the "Thumbnail" image need to be the same image as the "Hero Image?"
I would like to keep my "Hero Image" I load into the widget, but would like to change its corresponding "Thumbnail" image to a different icon. Is it possible to use live type in MUSE as the icon and put it over the "Hero Image?" Thanks for the help!

I have figure out how to put in a different image into the thumbnail, but how do I replace it with a text box instead of an image. I would like to use websafe fonts as the thumbnail that triggers the Hero picture. Is this possible?

Images Need to Be Reprocessed on Launch

Whenever I launch Aperture 3 a notice appears just below the histogram on the adjustments pane saying that the image shown in the Viewer was processed in an earlier version of Aperture and needs to be processed again, although all of my library has been reprocessed. Same thing happens most of the time if I shift to a different project as to the first image (or two) selected. I always click the "Reprocess Now" button but the same think keeps happening. The 3.1 update did not change this. Has anyone else encountered this?

This has now become an emergency! I downloaded the Camera Raw update this afternoon as my camera was one of those covered. The message about images needing reprocessing because they were processed under an earlier version of Aperture appears with nearly every image now and when I click "Reprocess" the system responds very slowly if at all--sometimes it just crashes. When I click on the album to reprocess all of it the bar graph never makes it all the way across before the crash occurs. I reopened to repair permissions and repair the data base but nothing has helped. Can anyone help?

Efficient loading and rendering of multiple images: Need advice

I have an application that allows the user to customize and display full-screen consoles of various information. The console can have a background image. Additionally, the console can contain any number of components...one of which is a "Image" component.
Both the console background and the image component can refer to multiple images...if multiple images are referenced, the displayed image switches every X seconds.
The application has a repository into which users can load their images so that they are managed by the app.
Now, my problem:
In the old version of my application, I loaded ALL images into memory at startup and when users added them to the repository. This way, each image was available for display very quickly. When it needed to be displayed, I'd just scale it appropriately and display it. Problem is that this used a LOT of memory...I have the full image in memory AND the scaled image in memory.
In the newer version of my application, I now load images from disk on demand. When an image needs to be displayed, it's loaded from disk, scaled and displayed. This uses MUCH less memory...but I'm finding that it's slow and can block my user interface from updating...
I guess I'm probably looking at something in between where I cache the images that MIGHT be displayed by a console. That's better than loading ALL images into memory, and it's better than ALWAYS going to disk. It's just a matter of the logic around finding out what images need to be loaded...loading them in a background thread, blah blah blah.
Anyone had to deal with a problem like this? Any suggestions?

}The other option (and it's an easier option) I was thinking of was to have the image proxy class cache the BufferedImage itself upon the first request.
That way, only used images are loaded into memory. I could also then have a thread that would occasionally sweep through all the image proxies and clear out the buffered images of the ones that haven't been requested in X minutes.

I had a similar problem, but with prepared SQL statements--Our solution was similar to your last comment. Without going into the details, we basically made a circular queue that cached the prepared statements, in the system we were using a the time you could only have a set number of prepared statements--and it was not very many, the queue had an aging function so when we had to have a new prepared statement we would use the handle to the one that had the most ancient last referenced time. In this manner we made sure that those statements that were being referenced frequently were the ones that were available.
This does have a few weaknesses:
1 - you still have to stringently manage your limited resources, in your case you're going
to have to tune and do trial and error to find that sweet spot to balance your app.
2 - if you have a bunch of 1 timers, then there is no benefit.

Have you tried scanning the source image? Disk Utility > Images menu > Scan Image for Restore…

Logon image needs to change automatically for corresponding month

Hi All,
We have a requirement where in,the logon image needs to change according to the month.If Jan then 'mage A'if Feb then 'mage B' simillarly for dec.We have 12 images.How can i acheive this?Kindly help in this regards.

ok, then you have to change login module, try using scheduler servlet, which will create time interval. Also you have to copy all images in one folder location in server, but check with image name because it might affect.

WLC 8510 Time Based ACL Support

Hi,
I see something like this in the Data Sheet of 8510 "A wireless policy engine on the Cisco 8500 Series enables profiling of wireless devices and enforcement of policies such as VLAN assignment, QoS, access control lists (ACLs), and time-of-day- based access." I wonder if does WLC 8500 has time-based ACL support, or data sheet is talking about anything else?

You want a straight answer or you want an answer coming out from the SALES team?
Sales team will say "YES". Will it be effective? Not one bit. You go to Security > Local Policy. You create a Local Policy (and attached to your SSID) and determine what time/day you want specific criterea (like wireless client manufacturer).
However, if you want what time/day you want the SSID to go down or UP, then you'll need something more robust, like a Layer 3 ACL.
If you want something like a time/day you want the radio(s) of the AP to go down/up then you need something like EnergyWise or WCS/NCS/PI.

HP slate 6 voice tab dual sim (HSTNH-B19C) factory image needed

I bought HP slate 6 voice tab dual sim (HSTNH-B19C) from Karachi 6 months back. Since then it was working fine on jellybean 4.2.2 until i got a system update Message from Hp. So i updated it with kitkat 4.4.2 successfully.
Now the problem is that most of the 3rd party applications doesn't support it. The updated software is working fine but i want to revert back to the jellybean 4.2.2 that originally came with the tablet.
If anyone knows from where can i get the factory image than please share a link.

I understand you're looking to downgrade back to JellyBean on your HP Slate 6 VoiceTab.
The factory image files are hosted on the HP website for your product. The model you have posted is actually the regulatory information for the battery and not the tablets model. If you can provide me with the exact model I may be able to offer a link to the factory image.
For information on finding your model number please see this guide: Locating the HP Slate 6 VoiceTab and Slate 7 VoiceTab model number.
If you would like the file faster you can go to HP - Drivers & Downloads and enter the model number. Once entered you will find the factory image listed under the Drivers section for your device. Keep in mind that typically the Android OS will fault when trying to downgrade and often rooting the device or using third party apps/software is needed to do this which HP cannot provide support for.

CR of VS 2005 always prints as image; need EMF etc

After Crystal Reports XI, we had the problem that our printing software got more and more bugs and we where informed that old versions where no longer supported, so we should rewrite our software with one of the new interfaces. We choosed the .NET one.
However, our new printing frame now seems to always print using an image, i.e. the output file to the printer is just a bitmap. Even the output to Postscript printers is just that, an embedded image. While this is often no issue, some of our clients use printing to virtual printers, such as fax software, or archivation software etc. They therefore parse the output file for various informations not available if its just an image.
Printing from CR XI itself, and from our old software still based on the C interface (crpe32.dll) works fine. So clearly CR is able to produce more intelligent output formats. What can be done to enforce using them ?

The native format of our reports are proprietary so we can't give you the info on how to decode it. And yes you are correct, an EPF Object is generated for each page and the output is basically a "picture" of the page to be printed.
Your only work around is to export the report to Excel or CSV which are text formats. The end users can then alter how they are getting the info from those file types and use the data as their needs require.
No option to use the viewer that was built into crpe32 any more, it's not supported as a report engine nor are you licensed to use it directly in an application.
If you can discribe what they were doing someone may have suggestions on which formats would be best.

Problem importing a vbox gold image, need help

Hi ppl, I finally got VDI3 up and running, following the installation instructions
on the wiki page, the servers seems to be up:

After you import the desktop to VDI,you need to convert this desktop to a template.You can either use Admin UI
or ./vda desktop-template <desktop-id> .This will convert the desktop to template.
Now when you do pool settings,I mean defining the pool size,recycling,etc. there you can specify what template(in the drop down list) you want to use.
(Note : Only the desktops which are converted to a template will be shown under this drop-down list)

Still Images & Need to 'Scale to Sequence'-Vertical vs. Horizontal Picture

I make sequences from still images only. I need to start editing with all images at a Scale (in the Basic Motion section) of 100. When the original image is 720 width x 540 height (a picture taken horizontally), it appears in the timeline at a Basic Motion:Scale of 100 (this is what I want). However, when the original image is 405 width x 540 height (a picture taken vertically), it appears in the timeline at a Basic Motion:Scale of 112.5 and overflows the top and bottom of screen.
For these vertical images, I can then set the Scale manually, or use "Scale to Sequence" and get it to start at 100, but would like to avoid that extra step. Any ideas on how to have all imported images start at a Basic Motion:Scale of 100, whether taken vertically or horizontally?

I think that your best bet would be to
1) make the images all the same size - adding black to the edges if necessary. You could add an alpha channel on the ones that you had to add black to the edges.
or
2) copy the motion settings from a still that is scaled correctly.
or
3) grin and bear it.
I created a file earlier this morning that FCP didn't scale, but now I can't duplicate it. All the files are getting scaled. According to the manual, FCP isn't supposed to scale past 100%, but they might have changed that with a revised version.

Header with 3 backgroud images, need help

Hi! I'm learning Dreamweaver CC atm, and i am confused in building my header, i need help, if you got time for a beginner.
First, i made a Wrapper Div, added an header div inside that include 3 more div. Each of those 3 div inside my header have a backgroud image: left side, middle side and right side. They are both relative, left and right have a fixed size. The right one float right of the screen. I have trouble with the middle div: it's a 1px width backgroup that reapeat on x. I cant find the way to make it reapeat up to the right div. How can i do it?
I want my page width to adjust to the user screen.

How many NetInstall images needed?

Hello All,
I am trying to figure out how many NetInstall images I need for my environment. So far I have read that for Leopard you can have one 32bit for PPC machines and one 64bit build for Intel machines, is this true? Or do I really need to make a build for each type of machine for PPC and Intel? I would think that if you built an image for a laptop it would have issues with a desktop machine or vice versa.

I was having the same issues. The problem that I ran into with NetRestore, was that I could not remotely upgrade my machines from Tiger to leopard... or without destroying all my user data. As much as I have not liked SIU much in the past. I found a post that really helped me out.

I added my post-install scripts in the flow after my package installs. I can simply send a bless command to the machines pointing them to my netinstall server. It will load my image or upgrade a user, keeping their data intact, whether they are on a intel or power machine. One side note though... When I provision new machines using this process. the Apple Setup assistant starts on the first boot. to keep that from starting, you can "touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone". I have this running from a post install script.

Contact sheet only shows single image; need multiple duplicates

I'm trying to print an image using the "Contact Sheet" setting. I need to output a page containing multiple instances of one single image. When I select the image and select "Contact Sheet," it shrinks the single image down and sticks it in the top-left box of what should be a page full of that single image ... but it's only creating a single instance of the image, and the rest of the blocks on the contact sheet are blank.
I'm ready to put my fist through the monitor. Please help before it's too late. Thanks.
