WLC and Air 1231G

I have a 4402 WLC configured on the management VLAN and 9 AP's that were converted to LWAPP. When the AP's attempt to connect to the WLC, they download the image then display the following error. "No more AP manager IP addresses remain." The AP's then reboot and go through the whole process again. It doesn't matter if I assign static IP's or set them to DHCP, the same error appears.

I tried both suggestions without success. The same thing continues to happen.
Looking at the logs, I see that APs are associating then immediately disassociating. If it helps here are 15 minutes or so of message logs from the WLC.

  • WLAN Clients not browsing on Cisco Wireless Controller WLC NME-AIR-WLC12-K9

HiI have a question and i need a solution and expert help.I have done a deployment which involves Security (ASA5540), Routing/voice gateway/wlc NME-AIR-WLC12-k9) and Switching (Cisco3845-ccme/k9)Below is the list of equipment used:1. Cisco ASA 5540 - which is connected at the edge to the ISP router
    2. Core Switch WS-C4948E as core and DHCP Server for all VLANs
    3. Access/Distribution Switches WS-C3560G-48PS-S connected as trunk to the core switch
    4. Router/Voice Gateway/WLC Cisco3845-CCME/K9 - This is the voice gateway and also the WLC
    5. Wireless APs AIR-LAP1242AG-E-K9 (12 qty)Here is the deployment scenario:1. G0/0 of the ASA is connected to a 7200 router from the ISP (Public IP Add)
    2. G0/1 of the ASA is connected to gig 1/3 on the Core Switch on VLAN 2 which is the management VLAN (Local IP 10.1.1.2)
    3. Port 3 of the Core switch is on vlan 2 connected to ASA - Management IP of Core Switch is 10.1.1.1. Core Switch is the DHCP Server for all VLANS on the network.
    4. All the Access/Distribution switches are configured with IP Addresses on VLAN 2
    5. Telephony Services is configured on the router and DHCP Pool for Access Points and Wireless Clients is running on the router.
    6. Two DHCP pools were created on the router for APs and Wireless Clients.
    7. G0/0 of the router is configured on the same network that issues dhcp ip to the AP and is connected to gig 1/1 on the core switch
8 G0/1 of the router is configured as the voice port for the IP Telephony Services and is connected to G 1/2 on the core switch1. Clients receiving DHCP IP on the Core Switch can communicate with all vlans and can browse to the Internet.
    2. IP Telephony Services is running well.
    3. Client on wireless can get IP from the DHCP on the router but cannot browse.I have pings from the router to the core switch and firewall, but clients connected to the wireless
cannot ping other vlans on the core switch and vice versa. The port connecting the router to the core switch is an Access Port, i have changed to to trunk but still no changes. My biggest problem now is how to make the clients on the wireless communicate with other clients on the network and be able to browse to the Internet.Below is the configs on the router and core switch.Router ConfigNimc_Voice_Router#sh run

I wouldn't configure an ip address on the service engine subinterface.
Try setting up a vlan interface on the router with that ip address and the subinterface will be linked to the vlan interface through the encapsulation command. A vlan interface will better work as a gateway for the wireless clients

  • WLC and WCS conflict

Hi I am currently using 21 X WLC with N+1 Redundancy and 1X WCS with 1000++ of LAP1020. If had been observed that the antenna type and power TX had been changed with no reason. Is there any settings that may affect with AP customized Tx Power and antenna settings other than using the WCS template to push the configure to the APs instead of the WLC.

Sorry for jumping in on the question with another question but it seemed the right place.
    I have an AIR-CT5508-25-K9 WLC and +25AP license : L-LIC-CT5508-25A.
As far as I understand it the WLC should already have a 25AP license installed and with the adder license I should have a count of 50 APs.
However, after installing the adder license the count is still 25.
Could you please let me know if it's just something wrong in my reasoning or should a case be opened?
    Thank you,
    Barbara

  • 2106 WLC and 4 LWAPP (1252G)

    I have a 2106 WLC with 4 AP's (AIR-LAP1252AG-A-K9)
One of the AP's (port 4) is only connecting at 10Mbps, not 100Mbps and I don't know why?
All the ;ports are set on the controller to AUTO,  When I try to force that port to 100Mbps, the link drops.
Could it be a cabling issue... or could I have a bad port on the 2106?    How to I troubleshoot this.  It's odd, because
that particular AP is about 100ft from thte WLC and the closest to it.
    Any ideas?

Interesting...  I unplugged the LAP (data and power) and removed it from the wall of our training room 75ft from our computer room,  walked the AP into the computer room and with a 15' patch cord and power supply plugged it back into the WLC 2106.  Waited a min for the AP to reboot and now my port speed is showing 100Mbps connection.
The issue must be with the cable run...?  Thanks for pointing out the obvious.   This now begs another questions regarding 2106 best practices and the idea of connecting our 4 AP's directly into network switches and not the WLC 2106 itself.  That seems to be the recommendation.  Any comments?

  • 5760 WLC and 5760 HA WLC question

    Hi everyone,
I assume this information must exist... I just cannot locate it. Customer purchasing two 5760 WLCs:
    1     AIR-CT5760-500-K9
    1     AIR-CT5760-HA-K9
I am looking for info on how to configure these 2 WLCs to work together.  How do you inform the production WLC that a HA WLC is available to sync with? Do WLCs have to be L-2 adjacent, or will HA operate at L-3?  How does this HA setup work? etc.
Any help would be really appreciated.

    Hi,
    Any news regarding this issue?
    We've have the same scenario:
    1     AIR-CT5760-500-K9
    1     AIR-CT5760-HA-K9
    Both running
    IOS XE 03.03.01SE
I've activated Global AP Failover Priority in both WLC and from a total of 47 APs, i've configured 8 with Priority Critical, 7 APs with Priority High and  3 APs with Priority Medium.
We've issued an reload to the primary WLC and it took 7 minutes for the APs recover from the Secondary to the Primary
13:14 - reload issued on the primary WLC
13:15 - service granted by the secondary WLC (required an shut/no shut to the "Network Status" of the radio interfaces)
13:22 - service recovered to the primary WLC
Edit - Forgot to mention that the priority values mentioned above didn't show much improvement in the AP recovery time...

  • The difference between AIR-ANT5135D-R and AIR-ANT5135DB-R

    Hi,
Anyone know what is the difference between AIR-ANT5135D-R and  AIR-ANT5135DB-R ?
From the dynamic configuration tools for 1252 and 1242, AIR-ANT2422DB-R is inside one of the antenna option.
However, I can't find it in the "Cisco Aironet Antennas and Accessories Reference  Guide"
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/wireless/ps7183/ps469/product_data_sheet09186a008008883b.html
Inside the document there is only AIR-ANT5135D-R.
likewise for the 2.4 GHz,  AIR-ANT2422DB-R is inside the dynamic configuration tools and not inside "Cisco Aironet Antennas and Accessories Reference  Guide"
    Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks,
    Richard

Found the difference, AIR-ANT5135DB-R and       AIR-ANT2422DB-R are  non-articulating antennas.
    Thanks!

Hi, I'm using a Mac Pro here. I am trying to connect it with my NAS hard drive. But i could not connect to it because i have an ethernet which connects to the intranet in my company and Air Port for the internet and it could not detect the the ip address after i input the correct address on "Connect to Server" window. Please help! Urgent! Thanks

I did not say it is not possible.
I said if your company networks are monopolizing both ports, you should talk to them about what options are available.
Maybe you can get the company Intranet over wireless if you change some configuration items such as Subnet Mask.
Maybe you can get on the Internet over Ethernet.
You really need to ask them, and do not let them blow you off because you have a Mac. If they balk, ask them how it would be done on a PC (becasue it will be the same on a Mac).

  • Iphoto continually quit on MBP and Air, now won't reinstall on Air

I have a MBP and Air with ilife 08 and all the latest apple software updates on each.
For about three weeks iphoto has been shutting down on either computer whenever i email a photo, or download and save a photo from the internet.
Today i removed iphoto from both computers and reinstalled.
After reinstalling my MBP it seemed to work fine, only shutting down once in about 15 emailed photos (as compared to every time previosuly). Thinking all was well (or at least acceptible) I went ahead and installed the three updates from apple via the software updater in system preferences. After i installed the automatic updates and used iphoto again, it shut down every time i emailed a photo. At that point I uninstalled the iphoto and reinstalled it without the latest apple updates. It seems to work fine now.
So, I tried doing the same thing on my air, but now iphoto won't reinstall, even though each time at the end of the process it tells me the install was successful. The first two times I only uninstalled (dragged to trash) iphoto, but the next two times i also dumped garageband, iweb, and idvd. Each time these programs were reinstalled, but not iphoto. When I search on iphoto no results.
Any ideas on how to get iphoto back on my air? I am using remote disk and have never had any previous problems with it, and obviously the other programs reinstalled fine.
Thoughts on why iphoto won't work with the latest apple updates installed?

    fishbio:
Before reinstalling iPhoto make sure you've deleted all files with iPhoto in the file name that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder. Otherwise the installer will think that iPhoto already exists and doesn't need to install.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Flex SDK and AIR runtime version in mobile

    Hi, guys.
I'm trying to make my first Flex mobile app.
I'm a little confused about the relationship between Flex SDK and AIR  runtime versions for mobile development.
In the "Developing Mobile Applications with ADOBE FLEX 4.6 and ADOBE FLASH BUILDER 4.6" pdf document, it says:
    "AIR requirements
Flex mobile projects and ActionScript mobile projects require AIR 2.6 or a higher version. You can run mobile projects on physical devices that support AIR 2.6 or a higher version of AIR.
You can install AIR 2.6 or a higher version only on supported Android devices that run Android 2.2 or a higher version. For the complete list of supported Android devices, see Certified Devices. Also, review the minimum system requirements to run Adobe AIR on Android devices at Mobile System Requirements.
Note: If you do not have a device that supports AIR 2.6 or a higher version of AIR, you can use Flash Builder to launch and debug mobile applications on the desktop."
So, I go and check the Certified devices in http://www.adobe.com/devnet-apps/flashruntimes/certified-devices.html and find that the minimun FLASH PLAYER version accepted by ALL devices is FP 10.1
    1. Does this mean that if I want to release an app to target ALL mobile devices, then I can only use Flex 4.5?
    2. Do support for Flash Player mean the same than support for Adobe AIR? Or the application will prompt the user to install whatever version of the AIR runtime and all of them would be supported by the device, even in the FLASH PLAYER support is for a lesser version?
    Thanks!

Thanks for your help, Flex harUI,
The first impression that comes to mind is that FP version is indeed only for the web browser plugin. Then, why does the official Flex 4.6 mobile development documentation have a link to that page that only speaks about the supported FP version in mobiles under the title "AIR requirements"??
This makes it way too confusing.
Do you know whether there is something like an equivalent matrix/list of mobile devices with their supported AIR runtime versions?  I went a great deal in trying to keep my original app under 400kb... I didn't know that in the end it would end up weighing 9.5Mb... :S
    Thanks again,
