WLC Web GUI Certificate type displayed

Hi,
We Converted some APs from IOS to LWAPP and had them successfully Join a WLC.
We have, to date, never bought owned or otherwise possessed an AP which talks LWAPP out of the box.
However the WLC Web GUI says, under the Wireless heading, that AP Certificate Type is "Manufacture Installed" .
Shouldn't it say "Self-Signed" ?
regards, MH

Thankyou for your reply.
Looking at Cisco document,
"Upgrading Autonomous Cisco Aironet Access Points to Lightweight Mode"
I can see where it confirms what you said about MIC,
"Factory installed certificates are referenced by the term MIC, which is an acronym for Manufacturing
Installed Certificate. Cisco Aironet access points shipped before July 18, 2005, do not have MIC, so
these access points create a self-signed certificate when upgraded to operate in lightweight mode."
Most of this document talks about SSC not MIC and is indisciminate about the age of the AP.
So if I'm converting 1131AG APs bought in 2006 from Autononous to LWAPP am I dealing with MIC not SSC?

  • SAP Address Type on the SAP Web Gui - Assignment Blocks

    Hello SAP Gurus
I am trying to configure system so that different Business Roles can only see different Address Type on the SAP Web Gui - is this possible ?
For instance Business Role  - "X" can only see the Standard Address Type and Business Role "Y" can not see the Standard Address but see other ones on the assignment blocks
    Thank you

    Hi Raj,
You can achieve this by enhancing the Addresses and Address Types assignment block.
Based on the Address Type 'Standard Address' entry, filter out the corresponding address
in the Addresses AB. This determination can be performed in the enhancement views.
Once the view are created, create a new configuration with Role config key 'Y''.
Add the enhancement views to the Displayed Assignment block section. And remove
the standard assignment blocks from this section so that they will not be available in
the personalization so that this user cannot view the standard address.

    Leon

    Same problem in Firefox.
Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • Cisco 4400 WLC - Accessing web gui remotely

I know how to access the GUI from the service port. However, I am not able to access from Port 0. IPs have all been properly set. We have a management VLAN in our enterprise. I have configured the WLC management interface for an ip on that subnet. Port 0 is connected to a 3560G switch. I have set the switch port to be an access port to the management vlan and I have tried to set the switch port as a trunk, with the native vlan set to the management vlan. I am not able to ping nor access the web GUI remotely via the management vlan. Is this by design?
    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,
plz try to configure 0 as vlan on managment interface on WLC after configuring native vlan on the switch. if you havent tried it yet.
command - config interface vlan management 0
NOTe - you need to disabl all wlan that r mapped with management interface before doing any changes from CLI.
hope it will solve your prob.

First of all, i would like to know whether you can see the workitem in SAP Business workplace (GUI) ?
If yes, then you would find one of my article which would make an interesting reading and would help you in your query.

  • Certificate for WLC web auth - HELP

    Hi all
I need to buy a cert for my WLC web authentication
I have read the document below
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6366/products_configuration_example09186a0080a77592.shtml
However, I want to fill in the details and generate the CSR via the provider im buying the cert from, thawte
Am I ok doing all this via the provider, or do I need to use open SSL to generate the CSR?
Can anyone post the steps in here I need to take when purchasing and installing a chained certificate on my WLC.
The WLC has the latest version of code.
    cheers
    Carl

Here are the instructions for a chained certificate.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6366/products_configuration_example09186a0080a77592.shtml
It's simple enough, copy and paste the chanin below the certificate when you generate the final.pem.
Main thing to remember when compiling the final.pem use a version of OpenSSL < 1.0 as it won't install.
If your provider will generate the CSR for you it should be fine, but you will need the private key to recompile the certificate.
As you'll be using OpenSSL to recompile the certificate you may as well use it to generate the CSR, there's not much to it.
    Thanks

  • Colors not displaying in WEB GUI

    Hi,
In WEB GUI, I am unable to see the colors in my ALV Grid when the fields are in editable mode where as in SAP GUI am able to. There is no problem when the fields are in non-editable mode.
Can you help me out to view the colors in my ALV Grid for the editable fields in WEB GUI?
    Thanks,
    Adithya M.

You might be out of luck, because usually there are no specific settings for the WEB GUI. And one of the problems with WEB GUI is that it doesn't support all the functionality which is offered in your standard GUI. So it is possible that this is exactly one of the scenarios WEB GUI doesn't support. That is also the reason why not all SAP transaction work in WEB GUI. We had issues with parts of TEM transactions not working via WEB GUI.

  • How to edit employee adress  in CRM2007 web gui

the fields are disabled in the code as you can edit the
WORK address of an employee only through ACCOUNT OVERVIEW PAGE not
through EMPLOYEE PAGE.The work address in the UI refers to the address
of the Organisation to which the employee is attached .
And for attaching the employee to an ORG , you have to use TXN PPOMA_CRM
.The moment you do that , a relationship gets generated and when you go
to the EMPLOYEE PAGE , you can see the work address as you have
maintained in the account page for the ORG.
EVEN in SAPGUI, if you try to attach an Employee to an Organisation via
the RELN Type TBUR010 IS EMPLOYEE OF ( not TBUR011 Is the Employee
Responsible For ),it says in the status bar that MAINTENANCE IS POSSIBLE
    ONLY THROUGH ORGANISATION MANAGEMENT.
This is actually as per the Standard.
    谢谢

The weblogic.xml file is generated at deploy time if it doesn't exist in your application. To create it specifically in your application at design time for editing, select the appropriate project then the New option, from the New Gallery select General -> Deployment Descriptors -> Weblogic Deployment Descriptor, and in the resulting dialog select the weblogic.xml file. It will be added to the project -> Web Content -> WEB-INF directory.

  • Widgets in WEB GUI

    Hi,
How to embed widgets in WEB GUI home page in 5.2 or 2007?
I was trying with Logical links, workcenters etc, but they only allow me to display a link in work area/navigation bar.
For example I want to have google weather widget in my WEB GUI home!
I can get the script for the widget from google but how to create a logical link for that?
I am more a functional consultant so any help much appreciated.
    thanks in advance.

Edited by: Praveen Rangineni on Apr 1, 2008 1:46 PM

    Hello Praveen,
For what you would like to do I think you have to edit the page and modify it (for example by integrating an iframe or paste the script you get from google weather website)
To find the homepage proceed as follows:
    In the customizing:
    - find the business role assigned to the user (e.g. SALESPRO)
(CRM > Business Roles > Define Business Role)
    - find the navigation bar profile assigned to the role (e.g. SLS-PRO)
(CRM > UI Framework > Technical Role Definition > Define Navigation Bar Profile)
Double click on the profile to get the default link id (e.g. SLS-HOM-WC)
Double click on define logical links and search for the target id assigned to this link (e.g. WCCSLHOME)
    - find the component whose inbound plug is this target id (e.g. WCC_SLS_HOME)
(CRM > UI Framework > Technical Role Definition > Define Work Area Component Repository)
When you have the component, use Tx BSP_WD_CMPWB to get the controllers/views
In this case you can see in a parent class that the default value of the view is '../../sap/BSP_DLC_OVW/OvwViewset.htm'. This value is replaced by 'WorkCenterVS.htm'
Normally you have to create your own extension set and enhance the component first to avoid modifying the standard. But this component (I don't know why!) is not recognized in Tx BSP_WD_CMPWB (at least in CRM5.2)
So what I suggest is to make a small modification in the standard page (Tx se80)
    BSP Application:  BSP_DLC_OVW
    View: WorkCenterVS.htm
Just include your script in a new cell...
    Kind Regards,
    Fabian

  • 1142N unable to open Web GUI and CMD line options not available

I am currently trying to configure two 1142N APs (AIR-LAP1142N-A-K9) to be stand alone APs. I have followed the PDFs

It seems that the IOS on this device does not have the capability to configure the AP as stand alone or that it has been disabled. How do I get into the CMD line to configure the AP for deployment?
Secondly since I could not configure it via the CMD line I attempted to connect to it via the GUI like I said above. This fails. I ran an NMAP to find out what is open and found that nothing but port 23 is open. What is the deal here? Is the web GUI shut off by default? Am I just totally missing something? I think I dies a little inside after this...help please?

  • RV042 Web Gui Port

    Dear ALL,
what port used RV042 WEB GUI ? port 80?
can we change that port?maybe become port 8080?
because we have another web server use port 80 too.
    please give me info.
    thanks & regards,

    1) Port Management > Port Settings page - not displaying correctly.
    2) VLAN Management > Interface Settings > Edit page - not displaying correctly.
I did a little experimenting concerning issues 1) and 2) above and found the following:
Issue 1)-After going to the Port Settings page of the web config tool, hit F12-Developer Tools in IE (my version is 32 bit 11.0.9600.17691) and change the document mode to emulate “edge” (in the IE developer tool toolbar).  Then refresh the Port Settings page.  I was able to make changes and apply.
Issue 2)-After going to the VLAN>Interface Settings page, selecting a port and hitting edit, once again use F12 of IE to change document mode to “edge” THEN click the green arrow in the upper left corner of the IE developer tool to continue.  Again I was able to make changes and apply.
This may be a good enough workaround to get by until Cisco issues an update.

  • Block IPs from accessing WLC web management

    Hi all,
I have tried using access control list to block certain IPs from accessing WLC web management. I apply the ACL to interface management, but it seems like no effect at all.
How can I block or permit some IPs so only certain IPs can access WLC web management ?
    Thanks in advance.

I need deal with this matter also... So here's what I found:
    - you must use CPU acls - interface acls won't do what you want;
    - it appears that once you use an acl, you must explicitly define each type of traffic you want to allow, since an implicit deny all action occurs.
I'm working on trying to restrict admin access to controllers in order address policy compliance matters. I'm disappointed at the lack of better documentation and practical examples on acls...
If anyone can shed some light on this topic I think two of us would appreciate it...

  • SGE2010 - Web GUI Not Working

I have a brand new SGE2010 48-port switch. I initially set my computer to 192.168.1.100 and connected to the web GUI on the switch successfully using Firefox 3.6.13 on Linux. I was able to navigate through all the settings without any problems.
I updated the IP address of the switch to 192.168.100.4 and updated my computer to 192.168.100.100. At that point, I am able to connect to the GUI and access the login screen.
However, after I login, it displays the basic frame windows (Cisco image in the upper left, logout, about and help in the upper right) and promptly stops loading. None of the configuration panels load. As a result, I can't get to any of the configuration options and can't change anything. The only option is to reset the switch back to factory defaults and start over.
I have also tried accessing the web GUI via Chrome 8.0.552.237, but that has the same problem.
    Any suggestions?
    -Sean

Download the ietab 2 as an addon for firefox.
Then click the firefox symbol in the bottom right corner.
This will emulate an internet explorer page.
The gui's were only designed for ie5 to ie7 support.
However good news, the new sf/sg300 series switches is both ie and firefox supported.
