WLS 5.1/128-bit w/1024/128 certificate SSL connections fail

We have a 128-bit version of WLS 5.1 with the 128-bit SP8. SSL connections work with our original low-strength certificate, reporting during startup that it is "Using low strength SSL". If we replace the key/certificate pair with a new 128-bit version, SSL connections no longer work. The ciphersuites list has all of the supported suites in it. There are no exceptions or other problems reported in the log, but browsers fail to connect via SSL. I've not seen anything obvious online that suggests what may be misconfigured.

I found that Netscape is reporting that the problem is an "Incorrect Message Authentication Code". What else do I need to change beyond replacing the key and certificate? Thanks.

WLS 10.3 (64 bit) / Aix 6.1 / Java 6 (64 bit) does not perform

We are testing a new configuration as shown below
WLS 10.3 (64 bit) / Aix 6.1 / Java 6 (64 bit)
Our previous releases were mainly 32 bit versions/models. In the new release we are using 64 bit mainly and on HP/Win/Solaris/Aix. Currently unable to certify anything on AIX.
Problem:
Server can hardly standup for 30 minutes. Server will freeze and sometimes even "kill -9 <PID>" does not kill the server cleanely. (Will have to reboot). In the AdminServer logs, I can see available server memory as low as 0% or 1%. Then it seems to recover and go to around 20% but will eventually stop responding. Same story on 3-4 machines. But no issues on HP/Soalris/Windows.
Been working with BEA and front line support is telling me that they can't find anything in the core files (yes. We took core files by 'kill -3 <PID>'
Has anyone seen anything like the above.

Are you talking about a AIX patch or a WLS patch?
We did some memory analysing (through IBM Support Assistan Workbench) and we have ruled out memory as the issue. However, the core dumps are showing many socket realted waits. Thanks for your reponse though

HP C3180 running on Win7 64-bit and a win7 32bit PC connected on network

I have a HP C3180 connected to a PC running Win7 64-bit and a HP Pavillion dv6000 connected on the same home network.
On the PC with Win7 64-bit I can print on both sides of the paper, more pages on the same side or booklet.
On the dv6000 I can ONLY print single sided and only on page on the side.
How to fix the dv6000 or adding an additional driver on the 64-bit PC?

Welcome to the forums helgeknudsen,
I understand you are unable to print on both sides when you print from one of your PC's. I would suggest running the HP Print and Scan Doctor first to see if the tool will correct the issue.
If you are still unable to print on both sides, run the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows to ensure the full driver and software are installed.

Please let me know if it is in domain environment. If so, please test to log the same user account currently on Windows 7 to Windows XP and see if issue persists.

Our shop is requesting we update our 2009 Biztalk servers from ssl 2.0 to ssl 3.0 TLS 1.0. I have researched this and found registry edits need to be applied.

SSL upgrade has not dependency on BizTalk server.
You can follow these steps to upgrading SSL 3.0 from 2.0:
Follow these steps to make the change manually:
Back up your registry (outside link)
Disable SSL 2.0:
Browse to the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\SSL 2.0" key.
There is probably a key there called "Client". If there is not also a key under there called "Server", create it.
Create a DWORD for the "SSL 2.0\Client" sub-key called "Enabled" and set it to "0".
Create a DWORD value for the "SSL 2.0\Server" subkey and set it to "0", too. (This will disable SSL version 2.0)
Enable SSL 3.0:
Browse to the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\" key.
If there is not a key under there called "SSL 3.0", create it.
Under "SSL 3.0", create a key called "Client" and a key called "Server".
For both "Client" and "Server", add a DWORD value to each called "Enabled" and set it to "1" (This will enable SSL 3.0).

Under "Ciphers" you will add three keys. The first is called "RC2 128/128". The second is called "RC4 128/128". The third is called "Triple DES 168/168".
Do not add any values or keys under the three new keys.
Restart the server.

Even though I have a 64 bit version of iTunes, whenever I connect my iPhone it asks me to install 64 bit version of iTunes

That usually indicates that your Apple Mobile Device Support has not installed. That's also what is being shown by the diagnostics (the driver is there but the application isn't).
Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

64 bit SAP to 32 bit External Oracle Database connectivity failing

Dear All,
We are trying to connect to an external Oracle database thru DBCON method. We are able to connect to Oracle server from our IDES server which is a 32 bit server, but when we are trying to connect our development server which is a 64 bit server, the connectivity is failing.
we copied the correct 64 bit *.lib file to the SAP server but still same result. We are getting the error message - Work Process restarted. Session terminated.
the Oracle server we are trying to connect is 32 bit, can this create some problem ?

here i would like to add that we have connected to the external Oracle server using linked server approach of MS SQL (our SAP default database) and so our connectivity is happening till SQL level i.e. I am able to connect to the Oracle and query it using OpenQuery syntax. the problem is appearing when I am trying to connect from the ABAP level.

Upgraded to iTunes 10.4, error states need to install 64-bit version wasn't installed when connecting iPhone 3G

Any help out there would be appreciated for this odd problem which is very frustrating. My iPhone was not recognized by iTunes, so I downloaded the newest version 10.4 tonight. I received the error "This iPhone cannot be used because the required software is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install the 64-bit version of iTunes". So I uninstalled iTunes, Bonjour, QuickTime, Apple Software Update, and Apple Application Support, then re-downloaded and installed iTunes. When linking my iPhone I again received this error message. Is there something I'm missing such as a setting or prefererence? I thought the newest version of iTunes is a 64-bit version, so I'm really stumped. I'm also tempted to download a version of iTunes from last year.

If repairing the AMDS doesn't work, I'm going back to a version from last year. I don't really want to devote any more time to troubleshooting this, especially since I've spent at least 12 hours on this problem.

64 bit CF801 installer on Mac OS X fails

Hi-
When installing the 64bit CF801 onto my Mac OSX 10.5.5 the
installer stops right away saying "The installer will only run on a
64 bit Mac-Intel... 32 bit is not supported. Make sure 64 bit JDK
is the default JVM."
I have clearly set my machine's JVM to use 64 bit as its
primary JVM, but even after a restart the installer refuses to
acknowledge that my machine is running as 64 bit. After Googling
this it looks like it could be a Java issue but I think that Adobe
is on the hook to help out here as I'm building and evangelizing
solutions for this product, and this version.
Does anyone have a workaround to get CF801 64 bit installed
onto a well equipped Mac Pro running OSX 10.5.5?
After some other forum postings it looks like I may need to
roll back my JVM to an older version, does anyone know if that can
be done? What risks are associated with doing that?

Thank you for your instructions. It took a few tries but I
finally got the installer to run and ColdFusion is finally
installed! The UNIX commands are actually rather tricky, especially
reading them from the email as spaces definitely play a part in the
success or failure of their function.
One question: in step 5 your instructions state to reinstate
the links so that future updates are not missed (in the
CurrentJDK/Commands directory, remove existing file and run sudo In
-s ../Home/bin/* .) Which file are you referring to when you say
"remove existing file"? This is the only step I have not yet
completed.

Now you have to definitely pay attention to the commands that
he instructs you to run. First of all, if you aren't aware, you
have to be in the Terminal (Applications/Utilities/Terminal). That
is where you actually type all of his directed commands. You may
actually try to copy and paste where ever possible, since the space
characters definitely affect the functionality of the commands. (I
have worked with Unix but some people may not have). I made sure to
turn on Web Sharing (System Preferences/Sharing/Web Sharing
checked) and then proceeded to install the multiserver
configuration since I have multiple clients and will hopefully
create an instance for each client and not have to worry about
framework files (Model Glue, Fusebox, Mach-II xml file collisions,
etc.) plus it will make my deployment a whole lot easier as I've
re-discovered ".CAR" files (helps in making backups too). Using CF
in this manner, on this platform, is new to me, so it's "baptism by
fire" but I'm equally as excited as I am relieved to have this
installation behind me. You'll notice in my reply to Naveen (the CF
engineer) that I'm waiting on his reply to instruct me on how to
clean up that last step; as soon as I hear from him I will post.

PS ... and in all fairness to Adobe I suppose, ultimately,
the turn around time to fix this issue was actually pretty good. My
clients have high expectations from me since I favor and
"evangelicize" ColdFusion, so my expectations for the product are
equally as high. Besides, it's a pretty healthy check to have to
write if you want to buy a license!

"Connection failed" using smb to Win 7 64-bit shared folder

Hi,
I am a new Mac user and was unable to find any suggestion for a solution to the problem I am experiencing.
I use a folder on my PC to store video files. It is shared and the Mac connects to the address smb://biblioteket. This usually works fine, but sometimes I get a "Connection failed" error message. I connect through a gigbit wired ethernet connection.
Some other characteristics:
- If I restart my PC and reconnect, it works again - every time.
- I can connect to the PC using Teamviewer even if I get the error message, meaning there is a connection between the computers.
- The error will always show up if I try to copy large files from my Mac to the shared folder on the PC. I get a error message during file copying, after that the mounted drive is inaccessible and the "Connection failed" error message appears.
Any suggestions?

So I did what I always do to get the error message. I moved about 25 files from the Mac to the PC. Total size was about 5 gb. About half way through, I get the following error message:
The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “(filename(.avi” can’t be read or written.
(Error code -36).
So I retry, but this time the mounted drive has disconnected and get the following error msg:
The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -41).
This happened with a new user (administrator). Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Did you turn on the keyboard by pressing the round side button (right side, I think) such that the green light starts to blink? Then open Blue Tooth preferences in order to pair the keyboard to the computer.

When looking at the active JMS connections we see that they can increase till 800 current connections until the application slows down. It takes a very long time to generate the active JMS connections overview
The current number of connections is always nearly identical to the connections high value.
Do you maybe recognize this kind of behavior? Your comments, advice or suggestions are very much appreciated.

Found a note explaining the significance of these errors.
It says:
"NZE-28862: SSL connection failed
Cause: This error occurred because the peer closed the connection.
Action: Enable Oracle Net tracing on both sides and examine the trace output. Contact Oracle Customer support with the trace output."
