  • WLS 7.0 - Admin Console - how to list what users belonging to a given group?

    Hi folks,
    Just installed wls7.0, start the example server and admin console, created a user
    and added into Operator group. But from the Operator Group pane, I cannot find a
    way to show all the users in a group. Any ideas?
    TIA

    You can use JMX to list users

  • WLS 9.0: Admin Console User/Password

    Hi,
    I downloaded server900_solaris32.bin and ran it to install. After that, I started up the admin server from the samples directory:
    /bea/weblogic90/samples/domains/wl_server/startWebLogic.sh
    Then I tried to log into the Administration Console -- but realized I don't know what WLS_USER and WLS_PWD are.
    Is there a default value? I wasn't prompted for anything during install nor during startup script execution.
    Please advise.
    Thanks,
    Paul

    hi,
    thing is that weblogic is the default user& weblogic is the default password....
    if not you can edit the boot.properties file, that is available in the weblogic home directory, in that file you have both the username & password .

  • Admin console crashes when creating a new program

    Hi Tim,
    I’m experiencing the same issue, but for me it still crashes as guest. I’m hoping someone will have a suggestion. I’m very new to the flash world (in fact I’m taking a class now and wasn’t able to do my homework), so if you get any responses or discover any useful information please let me know.

  • Sun Oner Application Server 7 Admin Console doesn't start

    When I start the Admin Console for Sun One Application Server 7, and after I login, the admin console doesn't display in the browser. I have tried starting the admin console with IE and Netscape browser, but the admin console has failed to start in either IE or netscape.

    -Type this in your IE
    http://localhost:4848
    -IF it does not work type the following
    http://kishan:4848 ("kishan" is your machine name)
    -IF it does not work do the following
    Forgot the Admin Server Port Number? If you do not remember the HTTP server port number of the administrative server, you can inspect the administrative server's configuration file to determine the HTTP server port number.
    1. Navigate to the <domain_config_dir>/domain1/admin-server/config/ directory.
    2. Open the server.xml file in your favorite editor. Look for the element:
    <http-listener id="http-listener-1" address="0.0.0.0" port="4848"...
    In this case, port 4848 is the HTTP port number in use.
    Forgot the Username or Password? If you do not remember the administrative user name that was supplied during installation, try the user name "admin". This is the default user name specified in the server configuration dialog during installation. If you still cannot determine the user name, look in the following file:
    <domain_config_dir>/domain1/admin-server/config/admpw
    This file contains the administrator's user name followed by the encrypted form of the administrative user's password.
    If you do not remember the administrator's password, then you can delete the administrative domain using the delete-domain subcommand of asadmin and create a new domain with a new administrative password.
    Port Not Accessible? If the connection was refused when attempting to contact the administrative server's admin console application, it is likely that the administrative server is not running. Go back to the beginning of this section and double check the your startup procedures and the content of the administrative server's log file to determine the reason why the server is not running.

  • WLS 10.0 cannot get Admin Console to start

    Hi,
    We have WLS 10.0 with Jrocket on a Windows Server.
    We have two domains and they have been working fine for well over a year until this morning. I cannot bring up the Admin Console for the 2 domains. The domains are setup to start up automatically and they get stopped and started every Saturday. This week the restart seems to have failed, The services were showing as started but we could not login into the WLS Admin Console or the web applications that the domains host.
    As far as i know nothing should have changed with the server.
    Event viewer is not showing any issues.
    I tried to start the WLS for the 'da' domain from the cmd line and am now seeing the following in the AdminServer.log (FYI, the domain log is not being created). I have had to remove some lines to make the post :

    I have searched the forums and cant find what could be causing the blocking.
    The startup hangs at the following line :
    <Notice> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000365> <Server state changed to STARTING>
    doing a Ctrl-C to stop the startup then produces the dump entries in the adminserver.log file :
    There is no error or warning in the adminserver.log file.
    What should I be checking to find out what is going on ? is this a known issue ?
    Thanks.

    Hi
    1. Looking carefully at the following 3 lines in server statup logs, after 2:20:39 PM GST, server waited like for 16 mts like 2:36:43 and invoked the Force Shutdown. Possible reasons I gave below.
    ####<Feb 14, 2010 2:20:37 PM GST> <Info> <netuix> <ePIMSEDMS2> <AdminServer> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '3' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <1266142837729> <BEA-423101> <[console] Initializing the NetUIx container>

Classifications functionality not enabled.>
    ####<Feb 14, 2010 2:36:43 PM GST> <Notice> <WebLogicServer> <ePIMSEDMS2> <AdminServer> <Thread-1> <<WLS Kernel>> <1266143803604> <BEA-000388> <JVM called WLS shutdown hook. The server will force shutdown now>
    2. Since you mentioned this worked fine and nothing else is changed over a year, the possible cause may be like this. Looks like you have some Documentum stuff (or webapp or modules) loaded on this server. I am not much familiar with EMC Documentum stuff, except that we use that as external Content Management repository for Portal Applications. Looking at the full thread dump for thread 0, looks like documentum code is trying to publish something or interact with its documentum server and may be it is not getting the response back. So make sure if any external systems that this WLS interacts are all up and running.

  • SOA Suite 11g on WLS: Admin console EM not accessible

    Hello everybody,
    I am trying to install and run a sample SOA composite using SOASuite11g. Here are steps i followed-
    1> Created schemas using RCU
    2> Installed using JDeveloper11.1.1. 1.0.exe, which has installed Weblogic server and Jdeveloper.
    3> Created a WLS domain (only admin server, no managed server and machines) and targeted al avalilable soa_suite components to the admin server.
    4> Installed SOA Composite Editor (using Find Patches and Upgrade option in JDeveloper)
    5> createed a basic soa composite project in jdeveloper and deployed that to the soa server.
    6> if i go to http://localhost:port/soa_infra, the project is shown depolyed.
    However, I am not getting any app under http://localhost:port/em or http://localhost:port/BPELConsole
    If I login to the weblogic console http://localhost:port/console, under deployed applications there seems to be no such app.
    Is it a problem with the version i have installed that even though it installs weblogic domain with soa_infra components, it does not supply the enterprise manager component.
    Is there a way i can test the deployed compoiste?
    Thank a lot in advance. Regards.
    sibendu

    Hi,
    There is no BPELConsole in 11g. You can test your composites from EM, if you have selected EM during domain creation. If you haven't, then extend your domain with EM.
    To extend the domain with EM, stop your servers in domain. Invoke the config. Select extend option. Select the EM template.
    EM will be available in http://host:port/em
    You can alternatively test your composites if you know the composite WSDL. You can use SOAP UI or any SOAP testing tools.
    Usually it will be something like
    http://host:port/soa-infra/services/default/TaskFormVerifyComposite!51.0/client?WSDL
    In the above wsdl, till default it will be same for all the composite, followed by composite name, a ! symbol, followed by revision and then your exposed service. If you omit the revision, then the default revision will be invoked.
    Hope this helps..!!!

  • Testing EJB using WLS admin console

    Hi,
    After having deployed the EJB, we looked at the JNDI tree it looks fine. But when
    we try to test the EJB using Testing tab of the weblogic admin console we get
    the following message
    "The EJB IOESTARIDAdmin has not been tested succesfully. "
    When this EJB was deployed we got confirmation from WLS that the EJB got deployed
    successfully. Can anyone tell us what is the problem?
    Regards,

    Hi Anand
    what version of the server were you using? If this is not working it could
    be a bug. I can try and file an issue let me know the version please.

    Hi,
    I found the problem. When Clustering is enabled on Weblogic Server, we getthis
    problem. In a non clustered environment it works. May be because in aclustered
    environment JNDI lookup varies a bit.

    HI,
    My weblogic console view's left pane (used to show the tree view)
    is empty. It only shows an icon (indicating something is missing).
    Does anyone has similar experience before and know the solution
    to fix this?
    Thank you,
    Terrence

    The console's left pane is an applet. Make sure the java
    plugin is properly installed on your desktop.

  • GF 3.1.1 Admin Console Freeze -- A long-running process has been detected

    I installed Glassfish 3.1.1 on both sparc and intel servers for solaris 10 & 11 platform. All my servers have the same symptom when I access the admin console. The console freezed and pop-up a message "A long-running process has been detected". There is nothing I can do at this point. I've tried accessing from different PC with different browsers (IE, Firefox 5, Chrome and Safari), but nothing is working including clearing the cache. Also, tried uninstall and install again (with and without updatetool) many times. Any idea how do I stop the popup message? Am I the only one has this problem? I'm using JDK 1.7 (GF 3.1.1 support JAVA 7). I need help!!!!!
    Thanks,
    - Johnny

    The only fix I know of for this issue is to reboot the host.
    If there is another fix someone please let me know as I have users who run into this often.

  • Does Embedded OC4J has a web based admin console ?

    Hi
    Thank you for reading my post
    does embedded OC4J has a web based admin console ?
    i tried to open the /em context and it said that the page not found.
    if it has no Admin console , it ir t possible to install an admin console for it ?
    thanks

    Hi,
    yes, it has. You need to start embedded OC4J as stand-alone from the jdev-home\j2ee\home using the java -jar oc4j.jar command. You can then launch it and access it via port 8888 and issue
    http:://....:8888/em
    The embedded server does not use the enterprise manager screen because the configuration is kept in the JDeveloper_home\jdev\system...\j2ee...\embedded...\config directory

  • WLS 6.0:  javax.naming.NamingNotFoundException when selecting DataSource in server JNDI tree in Admin Console

    Summary of problem: Get a javax.naming.NamingNotFoundException when selecting the DataSource (see the configuration below) in server JNDI tree in Admin Console
    TheConnection Pool and a corresponding DataSource are configured as follows:
    <JDBCDataSource
    JNDIName="jdbc.PNStoreDB"
    Name="PNStoreDB"
    PoolName="PNStorePool"
    Targets="serverA"
    />
    <JDBCConnectionPool
    CapacityIncrement="2"
    DriverName="weblogic.jdbc.oci.Driver"
    InitialCapacity="2"
    LoginDelaySeconds="1"
    MaxCapacity="10"
    Name="PNStorePool"
    Properties="user=rms;password=rms;server=ora81"
    RefreshMinutes="10"
    Targets="serverA"
    TestTableName="dual"
    URL="jdbc:weblogic:oracle"
    />
    Can't figure out why this is happening. The following is output to the Admin Server command prompt:
    <May 18, 2001 10:20:02 AM EDT> <Error> <HTTP> <[WebAppServletContext(6233000,console)] exception raised on '/console/panel
    javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Unable to resolve jdbc. Resolved: '' Unresolved:'jdbc' ; remaining name ''
    <<no stack trace available>>
    I tried using a different JNDI name for the DataSource (e.g. just PNStoreDB) with no success.
    The weird thing is that it messes up other resources bound in the JNDI tree. For e.g. I have some EJB's bound under ejb/XXXX that I can click on and view in the Admin Console (JNDI tree) before I add the pool and DataSource. After I add them though, I see the same NameNotFoundException for these as well.
    Thanks in advance for your help.
    [att1.html]

    Are you sure that the connection pool and datasource deployed
    successfully? (Check the logs for an error.)
    Also, I suspect that you want a TxDataSource instead of a
    JDBCDataSource.

    Summary of problem: Get a javax.naming.NamingNotFoundException when
    selecting the DataSource (see the configuration below) in server JNDI
    tree in Admin Console
    TheConnection Pool and a corresponding DataSource are configured as
    follows:
    <JDBCDataSource
    JNDIName="jdbc.PNStoreDB"
    Name="PNStoreDB"
    PoolName="PNStorePool"
    Targets="serverA"
    />
    <JDBCConnectionPool
    CapacityIncrement="2"
    DriverName="weblogic.jdbc.oci.Driver"
    InitialCapacity="2"
    LoginDelaySeconds="1"
    MaxCapacity="10"
    Name="PNStorePool"
    Properties="user=rms;password=rms;server=ora81"
    RefreshMinutes="10"
    Targets="serverA"
    TestTableName="dual"
    URL="jdbc:weblogic:oracle"
    />
    Can't figure out why this is happening. The following is output to
    the Admin Server command prompt:
    <May 18, 2001 10:20:02 AM EDT> <Error> <HTTP>
    <[WebAppServletContext(6233000,console)] exception raised on
    '/console/panel
    javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Unable to resolve jdbc. Resolved:
    '' Unresolved:'jdbc' ; remaining name ''
    <<no stack trace available>>
    I tried using a different JNDI name for the DataSource (e.g. just
    PNStoreDB) with no success.
    The weird thing is that it messes up other resources bound in the JNDI
    tree. For e.g. I have some EJB's bound under ejb/XXXX that I can
    click on and view in the Admin Console (JNDI tree) before I add the
    pool and DataSource. After I add them though, I see the same
    NameNotFoundException for these as well.
    Thanks in advance for your help.--

  • WLS 7.0 - why EJB methods not shown in Admin Console?

    Hello,
    Has anyone try to set method-permission to a single method through WLS7.0 admin console?
    I cannot get beanManaged example to show its methods following the instruction in
    "Manage WebLogic Security". Any pointers?
    TIA
