WLS 8.1 - Service Packs

When upgrading WLS 8.1 to SP4 then on to SP6, I've discovered the change to SP6 has caused the service for my application to fail on startup. Any known fixes for this? Beasvc.exe is reporting a problem with ntdll.dll

  • Database Connection problem in WLS 7.0 Service Pack 7

    Hi Guys,
I am a newbie in this forum. Currently, I tested running application using WLS 7.0 Service Pack 7 in Development environment. And for database I used Oracle 9i Release 2 v9.2.0.6 which is running on AIX OS. After WLS started, I had some error in connecting to database. This is the error that I found from log file :

So, I need someone to solve my problem. Thanks...

First thing, most of BEA's forums are terrible as people rarely reply. I noticed your post through google searching for the same fix. You have likely done the same things as me and have learned that your Oracle JDBC Client driver has some bugs interacting with certain version of Oracle Server. For us, this problem occured when we migrated from Solaris to AIX. We were able to fix this by downloading the latest version of ojdbc14.zip from oracle's site. You can either replace the current ojdbc14 file in the bea installation or make sure it is visible in the classpath for WLS before the old version.
Here is a good link which describes the problem, good luck.

I am trying to install the WLS 6.0 service pack 1 using the the upgrade (wls60sp1_upgrade_win.exe or wls60sp1_upgrade_generic.zip) on a Windows NT 4.0 SP6. After the installer prompts me for the location (Use current or create new) and I press next to continue the install, I get an Error dialog box:WebLogic Server 6.0 not found:WebLogic Server Service Pack 1 Installation failed. You do not seem to have WebLogic 6.0 installed for BEAHOME C:\bea.It is installed at C:\bea\wlserver6.0. Anyone resolve this? I have the same problem as well on Win 2000 sp 1.

You can get individual service packs by logging into your esupport

  • WLS Console should show service pack #

The title says it all, IMHO the console should
indicate the service pack installed (and activated)
in the version string of the server.
I know that I could find out about it with:

WLE does not have service packs, you must be using WLS - you should post this in a WLS newsgroup. WLE
and WLS are 2 separate products.
