WLS 9.2.1 keeping huge no of opn Embedded LDAP connections
Hello All,
While using Embedded LDAP, we see a huge no of open LDAP connections through Admin console.
We checked the following options:
GroupMembershipSearching=limited
MaxGroupMembershipSearchLevel=5
But still the same issue persists.
Any idea?

Are all these sockets actually listening or are they waiting to be closed? You can use netstat -a to find the status of these LDAP sockets.
May be they are not being closed properly.

My iPod touch 4th gen. Keeps giving me the error message "cannot connect to the app store when I sign in. I can open the app store and browse it but I can't download anything. I have full signal strength with my wi-fi and safari is working perfect. I turned it off and restarted it 3 times now. I have an iPad 2 and the app store works flawlessly with it. What is going on?
Same here on my lpad2. Can access the web just fine from browsers but cannot install new apps or updates in appl store. Seeing a few others reporting same issue tonight so likely an apple server issue and staff will notice it in network monitors and fix it...sometime this weekend.

I can't seem to sync my iPhone to my computer; I keep getting this message: "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because an error occurred while reading from this device." I get the same message with my iPad, even though they all share the same account. What can I do?
This could be caused by a USB connection issue. Make sure the iPhone is directly connected to the Mac using the USB cable it came with. Also, try disconnecting all other USB devices.

Don't worry I've sorted it! I just had to turn off Reminders as well in iCloud. Calendar then worked fine, even when I turned Calendar and Reminders back on.

How to disable SSLv3 and keep only TLS for LDAP connection.

I'm planning to keep only TLSv1.2 for LDAP connections.
I tried to set LDAP_OPT_SSL_INFO in LDAP Session Options using a SecPkgContext_ConnectionInfo Structure with dwProtocol SP_PROT_TLS1_2_CLIENT(as described here - https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/7544226d-97e1-4dae-a377-e382c2281e91/how-to-set-up-tls-in-ldap-connection?forum=vcgeneral),
but it returns LDAP_PARAM_ERROR.
I tried to call this function directly after ldap_sslinit/ldap_init and before ldap_connect() - without success, I tried to use other parameters with default values, I tried to initialize them by 0/other possible values - and also no success.
How I can do this?

HT4623 I keep getting kicked off my wi-fi connection. any ideas?
I keep getting dumped from my wi-fi connection. I just made an ajustment to the security level and now I get dumped. My sons phone has no problem. I have been trying to get in to change the security level, but I keep getting error messages. I went in just last night and made the changes. I don't know whats going on there, but as I said, my sons phone has been working fine since he initially asked to join the network. Any Ideas?
You have to be connected to the network for that to show up. When you go into wifi the network you are connected to (yours) should be listed and if it is, then tap on the arrow to the right and at the top of the screen it should allow you to forget the network. If you cannot get connected to the network long enough to do that, then do the reset network settings I mentioned above.

How do I get iphoto to recognize that a computer really is connected to the internet? I cannot use places to locate my photos, because the software keeps telling me my computer is not connected. I know the computer is connected.
Try this: launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. It the problem persists make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
If the new library does'nt have that problem then your original library is damaged. Post back if that's the case and we'll go from there.

I keep getting messages that the games cannot connect to the game center. Even when I try to open using the "play" incon in the Game Center, I get the same message. The message refuses to do anything when I press either "cancel" or "retry,", it just sits there and the game won't open when it appears.
I have tried resetting the IPad, turning it off/on; re-syncing, etc., and nothing seems to work. Can any one suggest a way to get the stupid Game Center message to close or some other method to open the game?

BIP 10.1.3.4 with WLS Embedded LDAP
Hi All,
Details of my setup.
1. BIP installed in weblogic
2. BIP Security model setup to point to LDAP (wls embedded). The following details I specified:
a. cn=Admin/passwd
b. Distinguished Name for Users:
ou=people,ou=myrealm,dc=base_domainname
c. Distinguished Name for Groups
ou=groups,ou=myrealm,dc=base_domainname
d. Rest all left blank.
3. I created the XMLP_* (all 5 groups to in the wls myrealm).
4. I created the users and assigned them the above 5 groups as well as all other groups that were present.
5. I did create the Super User also.
I am able to login using the LDAP users but I am not able to see the Reports (as well as Admin tab etc), whenever I click on the Shared folders I get an "Unauthorized Access: Contact Admin" error.
I suspect BIP is not able to resolve the groups for the users.
Could anyone tell me where I am wrong and what needs to be done. I think I have not provided the group details like search filter, group attribute name etc.
I am a bit new to weblogic and not sure what are the details that I should provide for the embedded ldap in BIP.
Any help is much appreciated.

Programatically Creating User in wls 12.1.2 embedded LDAP
Is it possible to programmatically create users in WLS emdebbed LDAP? Can you please point me to any API or examples in documentation that does something similar?

Yes, this error message is in regard to my MacBook Pro. The reason it's filed here under iPhone is because the error message appeared again when I tried to updae iOS, again (and I wasn't allowed to because I need more room on my Startupdisk), so I simply clicked on the link taking me here to Apple Communities. And yes I have already empited my trash (I did this each time I cleared old docs off my compuer, so this wasn't a solution for today).
Might you have any other ideas? I am really at a loss......
Also, where is the Startup disk located? I can't find any folder labeled "startup disk". Am I supposed to find this folder and delete files from it? -
