WLSE doesn't seem to notice it when an Aironet device goes down

Aironet 1100 devices (267 pieces), IOS 12.2(13)JA4
After the upgrade from version 2.6 to 2.7 we have a problem with the WLSE. Device discoveries and inventories run without a problem, but whenever a device goes down the WLSE doesn't seem to notice.
With a sniffer we found the WLSE's polling the device, but there's no follow-up when there's no reply. As a result the device stays green.
All configurations are the same with the exeption of one location. Here we've configured the WDS and this is the only location on which the WLSE reacts in the correct way.
On several other locations there might be one or two devices on which the WLSE reacts correctly, but these are exeptions. We have compared configuration files, but can't find any differences between the devices.
Whenever the WLSE does discover a failing device (with no WDS configured) it generates a P1 severity fault (default was P2).
In case these devices have become reachable again the P1 severity fault is automatically acknowledged and remains this way. So far I haven't been able to clear these faults and therefor the device will keep it's alert status in the reportview.
I do hope somebody has some idea about what's going on.
After I encountered these problems after the upgrade I've started from scratch and used a clean installation of version 2.7. and a new discovery of our network.
I really don't know what went wrong. Anybody with any suggestions is very welcome to vent them.

I'm having a similar issue. 500+ AP1200 units, IOS 15JA, newest WLSE version. Most of the time when a unit goes down, it will generate a SNMP unreachable fault message, and we are set to have the WLSE send an email in the event of a SNMP unreachable. That's great. Except once in awhile, it won't generate the fault. The device could be powered completely down for three or four days, and I'd never get a fault message. It's driving me nuts. All these AP's are configured the same using the exact same template, with only the IP info changed.

I've got a feeling that's the way it is. I know that if I turn the volume down all the way, I can still hear the music very softly -- which is great for listening when I have a migraine!

What's the impact to the users when AD RMS DB goes down

I did a quick test for the impacts to user when AD RMS DB goes down:
if the unread email sent before DB goes down, it is readable
if the unread email sent after DB goes down, it is unreadable
I understood that Exchange pre-licensing won't work when DB goes down, can user connect to RMS directly to grab the license since RMS server is still up?

K1 doesn't seem to be charging battery nor is it shutting down properly?

When choosing shut down on the K1 it starts to shut down and than just freezes...anybody have a solution?
also it doesn't seem to be charging...I have it plugged in to the wall now and when it's on the lock page it says "connect charger" and it shows the battery at 0%
anybody have this happen to them, or know of a solution. I just did a factory reset but this did not change anything.

yes, I got the same problem too. I got my K1 just 10 days ago. I hope someone can help to provide solution before I send it back for fixing.. it's just wasting my time to do so and I know Lenovo will never replace me a new one.

Shared photo Stream - saved imaged doesn't seem to seemlessly update on all my devices

I have recently updated both my iphone 5s and my ipad to ios 8
I saved an image from a shared photo stream on my iphone (via the save image button) - on my iphone this is in my recent items and in my photos (collections/years). This however doesn't seem to stream across to my ipad and I thought it should. To see it in my ipad photos I have to save it on my ipad too which seems a little crazy. If I delete this from my iphone, all I get is a delete option, not a delete with the warning that this will also delete from my photo stream, so I am pretty certain this isn't streaming! I know I could just view this via the share photo stream, but it is a photo I wish to keep forever. Anywork arounds apart from what I am already doing?
Is this a bug in ios8? I have never had a problem doing it this way before and always managed to get this in my photo stream before

How can a JMS Listener Notified get when a Topic Server Goes Down?

I'm in the process of looking into pub/sub model for a centeralized data source where vertical applications subscribe to a topic to get updates on person demographic information.
          I was playing with the JMS topic examples and noticed that when I have a Durable Subscriber listener (java main) and the topic Server goes down. It never gets notified. When I restart the Topic server and send msgs to the topic, the Durable Listener doesn't get them.
          Once I restart the Durable Listener (java main), it receives all the messages that were pending.
          I implemented the ExceptionListener and it never gets a shutdown msg either. I shutdown the Topic server via Ctrl-C, Graceful Shutdown and Forced Shutdown.
          Is there a way for the client listener to determine when the Topic Server went down, came backup, and restore the connection to it automatically? Or do we have to implement some type of ping mechanism on the client listener and re-create the connection ourselves?

          I think the exception listener should have fired. Some comments/questions:
          - Does your app call "connection.setExceptionListener" in addition to implementing ExceptionListener?
          - Which version and maintenance/service pack are you using?
          - Is the client using the wl* "thin" client jars or the "thick" client jar?
          - Version 9.2 provides an automatic reconnection capability for consumers. This behavior isn't enabled by default due to natural side effects that some apps might not be prepared to handle (needles to say, I recommend reading the doc thoroughly).

Raising alert when JMS Messaging Bridge goes down

Thank you for the note. but this feature is available from 7.3 SP13 but we are on 7.3 SP4.and it is very difficult to upgrade to SP13.
For us the webmethods will place the messages in their queue and PI pick those messages using the Sender JMS channel with following configuration,
transport protocol:Access JMS provider Generically
Message protocol:JMS1.X
Is there any other solution to trigger an alert when the thread is hung? Also is it possible to auto referesh a channel?

QOS Policy gets Policy hits but doesn't seem to do anything when put to the test

I have been trying to implement a policy that prioritizes certain types of of traffic over another namyly Lync Voice Traffic, Cisco CAPWAP traffic from controllers to AP's, and Citrix ICA Traffic.
I do recieve policy hits but when I load the connection up with say copying a file the policy seems to not work. This is on a 1921 router.

So what do you have, a 100 Mbps Ethernet hand-off with a 20 Mbps bandwidth cap?
If so, you want to shape for your logical bandwidth cap and then priorize, as desired, in a child policy.
BTW, you normally don't use LLQ for other than very time critical traffic, e.g. VoIP bearer, and Cisco recommends you don't allocate more than a third of your bandwidth to LLQ.
I would suggest you just shape for your 20 Mbps and try FQ for all traffic.

Finder doesn't seem to open automatically when I drag a file onto it in the dock

I installed Mountain Lion yesterday.
When I drag a file onto the Finder icon in the dock, it no longer open the finder window automatically.
Is there a setting I can change to re-enable this in Mountain Lion

You can't do that. It doesn't work, so you have to drag to a window, not the icon

Login Doesn't Seem to Work Properly When Saving...

I'm excited that you guys have come up with something pretty
cool with kuler, but I seem to have weird issues once I'm logged
in. After logging in with my Adobe username and pw, I click on
"Create", input my colors, but then I notice that I get the message
"Please sign in so you can publish a theme", yet it clearly shows
just above it that I *am* logged in. The "Title", "Tags", "Save"
and "Publish" are all unclickable as well.
Any help would be appreciated!

From your description, I recommend you follow the steps below for troubleshooting:
1. Please check if Microsoft Exchange System Attendant service is started at first.
2. Verify if there is any store failed to mount.
3. Please check network connectivity using netdiag.
What's more, I would like to verify if you use the following cmdlet to add folder permission.
Add-MailboxFolderPermission -Identity xxx:\Calendar -AccessRights xxx -User xxx

Cleaning up my Hard Drive- but it doesn't seem to notice

I've been cleaning out my iMac all day and reorganizing hard drives and such. I've cleaned a ton off my internal drive. By clicking on individual folders I can say I roughly have 95gb used on it. But. When I click get info it says I'm still using 321. I think it just hasn't adjusted since I've deleted so much stuff. I have tried restarting the computer making sure no externals are connected. Will I have to back up my computer (time machien) and reformat? (what I had to do with the external drives) Thanks for any help!

Thanks for the suggestions. I have already emptied the trash (and secure emptied the trash) and restarted several times. Downloads is empty.
I just repaired disk permissions as suggested (seems it had a lot to repair) but it didn't adjust this problem any.
When I organize by size in finder I get documents at 35gb then music at 42 followed by pictures at 6, everything else is under 1 gb.
I can't time machine because it thinks it needs 380 gb of space and my external is only 320. Might just manually back up and then repair my internal. But want to try everything else invade the space it thinks is filled actually is and I've just misplaced it (?) don't want to lose anything by accident.

I am having problems submitting forms. I have a MacBook Air and have been using adobe reader 11.0.10 to open them but it doesn't seem to send anything when I click submit.

Firefox frequently freezes after my laptop sleeps or hibernates, and then doesn't try to remember tabs when the program is shut down.

Frequently after my computer comes out of sleep mode or hibernation with Firefox still running, I will try to input text (anywhere in the window) or push the volume buttons on my keyboard and it causes the program to not respond. The only option is to close and restart it, but it doesn't remember my tabs anymore, nor does it remember closing my tabs (when I look for them in the 'recently closed tabs' menu). Often this does not solve the problem, and I end up having to restart my computer for it to work again.

Warning: Z3c doesn't seem to work with many common bluetooth devices. No fix immenent?

Hello. I just bought the Z3c as a replacement for the far-too-large Samsung Galaxy S5.
However, unlike the Samsung phone, the Sony fails to detect almost all bluetooth devices I've tried. In particular it fails to connect with my Jaybird Bluebuds X sports headphones, and a Bose speaker dock, both of which use an older bluetooth implementation.
I believe this is a Bluetooth stack issue with Sony's 4.0 implementation, though please correct me if i'm wrong,
Sony, any plans to fix this? Please address this for new or would-be buyers, many of whom have existing bluetooth devices and quite reasonably expect to use them when buying your smartphones.

You might have a defective device or it needs a software repair because all I use for my music needs is Bluetooth and I regularly use the following without any issue:
- Plantronics BackBeat Go2 (headphones)
- Altec Lansing InMotion SoundBlade (portable speakers)
- Bose SoundDock 10 (home speakers)
- Sony XSP-N1BT (car stereo)
- Sony MEX-BT2500 (car stereo)
Additionally I have paired and tested the following devices:
- Logitech K810 Bluetooth Keyboard
- ASUS U47A (notebook)
- a chinese Monopod (selfie stick with bluetooth)
And the Z3C has been flawless so far regarding bluetooth connections... not even one dropout. My older Acro S used to have an issue that prevents the BT from turning on, and the switch inside settings would become grayed out until a reboot.

Want to disable when connecting Iphone it goes down to device.

When i connect my Iphone to my dock, if I'm listening to radio or some music and i have visualization on it jumps out of visualization and down to devices. And its no matter where i am.
Where can i disable that. Ive got to know that when having a mac if u uncheck the "automatically sync when this Iphone is connected" it doesn't do it. But how to get it to do it in Vista.
Also if you go into preferences and devices and uncheck "disable automatic syncing for iphones and ipods.
But none of this works.. How can i disable that so if i connec the phone i am the one choosing if i wanna go down to the device manually..
