WLST command to list applications deployed

Does any one know of any command to list all applications deployed on a pirticular server using WLST..

To check the status of an application named "hello" deployed to the "AdminServer" do the following from WLST
wls:/base_domain/domainConfig> domainRuntime()
wls:/base_domain/domainRuntime> cd('AppRuntimeStateRuntime/AppRuntimeStateRuntime')
wls:/base_domain/domainRuntime/AppRuntimeStateRuntime/AppRuntimeStateRuntime> ls()

  • List of deployed applications. Different results for different MBean hierarchies

    Hello there,
    When I list the deployed applications, I am getting different results depending what MBean hierarchy I am querying:
    serverConfig():
    wls:/MY_WEBLOGIC_DOMAIN/serverConfig> listApplications() APPLICATION_1APPLICATION_2
    domainRuntime():
    wls:/MY_WEBLOGIC_DOMAIN/domainRuntime/AppRuntimeStateRuntime/AppRuntimeStateRuntime> ls()
    -r--   ApplicationIds                               java.lang.String[APPLICATION_1, APPLICATION_2, APPLICATION_3]
    Any idea why is APPLICATION_3 in the list?
    Thanks in advance,
    Luis
    ps: if I ask directly to the managed server:
    wls:/MY_WEBLOGIC_DOMAIN/domainRuntime/ServerRuntimes/prodGAD_1> ls('ApplicationRuntimes')
    dr--   bea_wls9_async_response
    dr--   bea_wls_cluster_internal

    dr--   bea_wls_diagnostics
    dr--   bea_wls_internal
    dr--   APPLICATION_1
    dr--   APPLICATION_2

    Hello Vijaya,
    Thanks for your answer, yes you are right, in my config.xml I can see that application:
      <app-deployment>
        <name>APPLICATION_3</name>
        <target>...</target>
        <module-type>ear</module-type>
        <source-path>...ear</source-path>
        <security-dd-model>DDOnly</security-dd-model>
      </app-deployment>
    But at the moment that I read your response I had already restarted the AdminServer. This re-start has solved the issue.
    Thanks,
    Luis

  • How to get list of deployed application on server programatically?

    Hi,
    I am trying to build an application which will display list application(WebDynpro , Portal) deployed on portal server. In EP 7.0 we can go to Content Admin -> WebDynpro  page to get list of WebDynpro  application. Par files can be found under portal runtime->browse deployment page.
    In CE we have nice feature which shows both portal application and WebDynpro  application in content Admin->portal content list.
    I want to find list of applications programmatically, is there any way to achieve this? Are there any apis where I should take a look at.
    Thanks,

  • How can I use custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite in Weblogic

    Hi There,
    I'm trying to view and search the weblogic log files using WLST on a Solaris/Unix system.
    I have come across this "custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite" and thought of using the custom logging commands to get my task done.
    However, my WLST shell is not recognizing the commands and giving me the NameError!
    wls:/devDomain1/domainRuntime> listLogs()
    Traceback (innermost last):
    File "<console>", line 1, in ?
    NameError: listLogs
    I tried the commands listLogs, displayLogs, getLogLevel & setLogLevel but in vain!
    I have followed the instructions as per the oracle recommendation of using Custom WLST commands (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29597_01/core.1111/e10105/getstart.htm#ASADM10692) as below
    - Launched the WLST shell from Oracle Home.
    cd ORACLE_HOME/common/bin
    ./wlst.sh
    - Tried to run the listLogs command from domainRuntime()
    I would like to know if I need to import any additional libraries to run the custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite in my WLST shell?
    I have only weblogic 10.3.1 server installed on my Solaris 10 machine on which I have deployed the OSB application software.
    There is no SOA Suite installed.
    Or is there any other way I can browse the Server Log file and get the list of log messages? Basically I would like to use this feature in my script to customize it according to my requirement of listing specific error logs which I can work it out if I know how to make these commands work.
    Please advise if this is possible and how?
    Cheers.
    Satish

    I have tried on my OSB installation (no SOA Suite here), the command listLogs() works (I was in online mode, after a connect), and the classpath is:

  • WL 7.0 and Web Application Deployment - HELP

    I've got a problem with WL 7.0 on Windows 2000.
    I messed up a Web Applications deployment. I was having problem with
    an example of an application I installed. Someone suggested I do the
    following:
    Shut down WL
    cd c:\bea\user_projects\AppDomain
    mv BuyServer BuyServer-ORIG <<< BuyServer is the name of the WL
    domain server this web app is deployed to
    Restart everything
    They said this would undeploy the web app. Yeah, right ....
    Well, the web app still showed up. So being a dork I tried to
    Undeploy it even though the BuyServer directory wasn't there anymore.
    This obviously didn't work.
    So I did a fresh deployement of the web app. This actually worked. A
    new BuyServer directory was created by WL. BUT in the Deployment
    Activities screen for the web app, there is a Activity I can't get rid
    of. The first listed activity is the deployment activitiy with a
    status of COMPLETED.
    The second listed activity says:
    Activity: Activate application buy on
    BuyServer Running
    Status: RUNNING
    Begin/End times are blank
    And there is a CANCEL button on the far right. I'm pretty sure this
    is the attempted undeploy I mentioned above. Pressing this button
    doesn't do anything. I can repeated undeploy and redeploy this web
    app but that second activity keeps coming back.
    Where does WL keep these Deployment activities stored ? Its putting
    them somewhere in storage. Is there anyway I can delete this failed
    activity ?
    Any thoughts appreciated.

    I am sure you "sovled" the problem by now but...

    of the application.
    They said this would undeploy the web app. Yeah, right ....Sorry someoned fed you the wrong info. Buyer beware. ;)
    So when you "deploy" an applicaiton, it goes into config.xml
    $DOMAIN_NAME/config.xml
    It looks something like:
    <Application Name="mywebapp"
    Path="E:\weblogic\dev\sandbox\griffith\apps\output" TwoPhase="true">
    <WebAppComponent Name="mywebapp" Targets="myserver" URI="mywebapp.war"/>
    </Application>
    You should be able to "undeploy" this thing in 3 ways.
    1) by starting the server and "deleteing" it with the little trash can icon in
    the Application/module list.
    2) don't start your server, and removed the <Application tag
    3) start server and run weblogic.Deployer
    java weblogic.Deployer -name mywebapp -remove

    A
    new BuyServer directory was created by WL. I dont follow how doing a deployment creates BuyServer, I thought that was the
    name of your domain, is that also the name of your webapp?
    BUT in the Deployment
    Activities screen for the web app, there is a Activity I can't get rid

    doesn't do anything. I can repeated undeploy and redeploy this web
    app but that second activity keeps coming back.Sorry sounds like you have hit a bug. :(
    Deploy from the command line.
    java weblogic.Deployer <url/user/pass> -name mywebapp -source PATH_TO_EXPLODED_DIR_OR_EAR_OR_WAR_FILE
    -activate
    If it fails to return, then post the server's log file.

  • MBean +getting a list of deployed apps..

    Hello,
    I'm currently writing a webapp that is similar to the weblogic administration console (but with added functionalities).
    Just like the weblogic admin console, this app has to display the list of deployed applications in the server (weblogic 8.1).
    I've read about DeployerRuntimeMBean, but it seems that it does not provide any methods to achieve what I want. Am I looking at the wrong place? Could someone share a light please?
    Thanks a lot for the help!
    Best regards,
    Alex Wibowo.

    Look at the ApplicationRuntimeMBean. If you get a list of them associated with a server, that will be the list of apps the server knows about (whether all of the components are deployed or not). You can see this list when you navigate with WLST, but I'm not certain exactly how to get this list from JMX. Perhaps just 'AdminHome.getMBeansByType("ApplicationRuntimeMBean")'. Note that the "name" of the object will likely be the server name, plus "_", plus the actual appname.

  • Issue while starting AdminSerever using wlst commands

    Hi, I am facing issue while trying to start the AdminServer and Managed Server via nodemanager using wlst commands. I have installelled WebLogic 11g on windows 2008 R2. Mentioned below are the steps that I followed:
    1) In Nodemanager.properties files I set following parameters to true. I did this, so that nodemanager can start the server in case of crash.
    CrashRecoveryEnabled=true
    StartScriptEnabled=true
    2) started nodemanager and then started AdminServer from the command prompt as follows:
    nmConnect('weblogic','password','10.23.226.58','5556','IMDomain','E:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\IMDomain','ssl')
    nmStart('AdminServer')
    I dont see any errors but it seems the AdminServer do Not start properly as in the cmd window I don't see any 'started successfully' message - the message remains as *"Starting AdminServer..."*
    However in the adminServer logs I see that the status is Running (refer logs at the end) and I can also see it as Running in weblogic console.
    I really didnt care if its not giving a success message in cmd window but the problem occurs when I start the managedServer. After starting the managed server in about 10 minutes, there is a stuck thread. (I guess it is 10 mins because Stuck Thread MaxTime value is 600).
    If I set StartScriptEnabled=false, and start by directly running the startweblogic.cmd then it works fine.
    I am struggling with this for last 1 week, appreciate any help.

  • Need help with Resource Mapping from Application Deployment to VC:virtualMachine

    Hi,
    I've built a number of vCO Workflows and hooked them up to Resource Actions in vRA. However, the Workflows I've built all take a VC:VirtualMachine as the input and therefore,they only "hookup" to VMs in the Machines list in the Items tab in vRA. Ideally, I want these actions to hookup to the Application Deployments in vRA since that is what my users are deploying - the VM that the App rides on is somewhat secondary. Plus, it's cumbersome for them to find the VM that corresponds to the App they want to run the action on.
    So, I looked into creating a new Resource Mapping, thinking I could map an Application Deployment to a VC:VirtualMachine so that I could create an Action for the Application. I was able to create a mapping from Application Deployment to VC:VM using the Map to VC:VM existing workflow and I could add that to the Actions menu for the Application Deployment but if I try to run it, it fails. I kind of expected this since I think the Map to VC:VM is expecting an input of IaaS VC:VM to map to vCO VC:VM. I think what I need to do is write a Workflow that will take in the Application Deployment "object" and find the VC:VM inside it but I don't know how to find out the structure of an Application Deployment such that I could parse it and get the VM.
    Does this make sense? Am I going about this the right way? Thanks for any help,
    Tom

  • Problem with CORBA application deployed using Java Web Start 1_6_0.

    Java Web Start fans and experts:
    We have been using Java Web Start to deploy the client side of a CORBA-based application since the inception of Java Web Start ... including Java Web Start 1.0 right up through the present.
    With Java Web Start 1_6_0, we see evidence that Web Start is "tinkering with" the IOR that CORBA uses to communicate. In all previous versions of Java Web Start, independent of the JRE which the application uses, the stringified IOR have been the same size regardless of whether the application is deployed locally or via Java Web Start. With Java Web Start 1_6_0, the stringified IOR is much longer than the "real" IOR (again, regardless of the JRE used by the application itself). To me this smells like a bug in Java Web Start 1_6_0. Has anyone else observed this behavior?
    Here are some specifics .... I've run the same client application with various JREs both with and without Java Web Start as the deployment mechanism. The application was compiled and runs against servers that are running JDK 1_5_0_09.
    Here is the summary of my results from a Linux box running various JREs, various versions of Java Web Start, and also running as a non-JWS deployed application. I've listed the length of the stringified IOR in each case.
    JRE 1.5.0 non-JWS client: stringified IOR length = 344
    JRE 1.6.0 non-JWS client: stringified IOR length = 344 ... this, I think, excludes the JRE as the cause of these problems.
    Java WS 1.5.0, JRE 1.5.0 JWS client: stringified IOR length = 344
    Java WS 1.5.0, JRE 1.6.0 JWS client: stringified IOR length = 344
    Java WS 1.6.0, JRE 1.6.0 JWS client: stringified IOR length = 1568
    Java WS 1.6.0, JRE 1.5.0 JWS cleint: stringified IOR length = 1568
    In all cases, the stringified IOR length is determined by the service receiving the message and is always running JRE 1_5_9_09 and is
    always the same 344 characters in length UNLESS it was deployed
    using Java Web Start 1_6_0, in which case it in nearly 5 times as big!
    To me, it sure looks as if there is a problem with Java Web Start 1_6_0 to be adding so much to the stringified IOR. Note: it's hard to tell how different the underlying IOR is in the JWS 1_6_0 case because, unlike most other ORBs, the Sun ORB doesn't have a tool to extract the IOR into a human readable structure. However, I can think of no good reason why the identical application deployed using Java Web Start 1_6_0 should have a stringified IOR length that is different than that of the same application deployed in non-JWS form or should differ from the behavior seen in all previous releases of Java Web Start.
    Any clues or suggestions? Has anyone else observed this behavior?
    Thanks,
    John

    There was a bug in earlier releases for deleting dimensions with children, making the children orphans.
    Heard from release notes that it has been fixed, but we are seeing this issue in 11.1.2.1 again.
    Please help us out in resolving this error.

    Hi,
    I always ask this first, have you installed all the planning and epma patches as there have been many issues addressed in 9.3.1

  • Stagger application deployment to device collection

    Hi,
    I've created a device collection using a query that has list of machines with a specific application installed.
    I have an updated version of that application that I'd like to deploy to that collection.
    I'd like to stagger the deployment so that the update takes place on few computers each day or so. For example, every night update the application on 10 machines.
    Can this be done? I'm using SCCM 2012 SP1.
    Pman
    http://www.pmansLab.com/

    There's no direct way to do this.
    One way to accomplish this though is to create a set of sub-collections that are limited to your main collection. You would then create new deployments with different deadlines for each of these "sub-"collections. The membership of these sub-collections
    could then be done using a query based rule that looks at something like the last digit/character of the system's GUID. For example, you could create seven sub-collections and the query rule for the first would only include systems where the GUID's last character
    was 1-3, the second collection would look for 4-6, the 3rd would be 7-9, ...
    If, your application deployment re-evaluation is set to everyday, then you could also do something similar using requirement rules and a little basic math.

  • Using Web Dynpro WDUrlGenerator from within J2EE Application deployed on NW

    I have two applications deployed on a NetWeaver Application Server 2004s.
    1. A Web Dynpro application.
    2. A J2EE Application
    What I want to do is to be able to build a url to the Web Dynpro application from within the J2EE application. Obviously the problem is using Web Dynpro classes within the J2EE application.
    So I edited the Java Build Path of the J2EE application to include the werbdynproservices.jar file and exception.jar files by extending ECLIPSE_HOME variable in the libraries section. I also checked them in Order and Export. I verified the built .war file and it does contain the two .jar files.
    This was sufficient to get my project build and deployed, however the servlet in my J2EE application shows NoClassDefFoundException when I run it. My guess is there's more I need to do to get the WDUrlGenerator to run in my J2EE class.
    Is this possible or is there a better way? I am trying to avoid the client having to modify a web.xml for each depployment.
    Thanks in Advance.

    This looks like what I want, but I am unable to test it.
    I found the application-j2ee-engine.xml file under the <project-root>/gen_wdp folder. I then attempted to open it with the SAP EARDD editor. It opens with the Source tab selected. If I try to click the General tab I get an error saying:
    "The source page has errors. Other pages cannot be used until these erros are corrected."
    I see nothing wrong with the XML document. It's source is here:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <application-j2ee-engine>
        <provider-name>local</provider-name>
        <modules-additional>
        <module>
          <entry-name>EVENTS_WorkflowNotification.wda</entry-name>
          <container-type>webdynpro</container-type>
        </module>
      </modules-additional>
    </application-j2ee-engine>
    When I deploy the application, everything works fine. I was going to edit the XML document by hand, but of course there is no DTD listed so I don't know what's supposed to go in there without the Editor doing it for me.
    Getting closer. Thanks so much.
