WLST standalone installation

Is there a WLST standalone installation available that does not require everyone in our team to download and install the full WebLogic Platform installation on their machine? All we want for some people (such as our infrastructure monitoring team), is the WLST functionality. We're hoping there is a WLST installation that is lightweight (only a few MB).
Thank you

From WebLogic 9.x onwards, Basically you need to add "weblogic.jar" in the classpath to run WLST.
So just provide "weblogic.jar" if your developers wants to use WLST for Monitoring purpose. "weblogic.jar" contains all the basic WLST classes which are required to Monitor resources.

  • SSO and Forms/Reports Standalone Installation

    Hi,
we have different Oracle AS as forms/reports standalone installations in our company.
SSO_FORMSID and GROUP_DN were configured during the OracleAS installation. So you have during installation to define OID parameters (host, port). But that input is only required within complete application server installation.
In standalon installation you cannot define OID setting.
But in formsConfig.properties and formsweb.cfg placeholder for SSO are available.
So it is possible to use standalone forms with SSO. And how can I do that.
I understand that I have to define SSO_FORMSID for application server and same ID I have to register in OID. But how?1
    br Kay Basler

The SSO information is included in those files because they are standard files across all installation types. Without the full installation (Infrastructure and Middle Tier) you cannot use SSO.
Refer to the following for a list of all restrictions associated with the Forms/Reports Services installation:

  • Hi, how do I create a standalone installer for Mountain Lion, ie, download once and then no more broadband required, thanks?

Hi, how do I create a standalone installer for Mountain Lion, ie, download once and then no more broadband required, thanks?
Context is that my other computers are not mobile and I do not have broadband worth troubling for a 4GB download - so will go to Apple Store with MacBook Pro for first download.

The easiest way is to download the installer but do not open it.
Next, make a copy of it and store it where it won't get lost.
Then take one of the copies and place into the applications directory and open it to begin the installer.
This has saved me the trouble of ever having to download the installer twice, plus you can mess around with the installer and try different options without having to worry about not having a clean install file if needed.
    Best wishes

  • Problem when installing a standalone installation over AIX

    Hello for everyone.
I have performed successful standalone installations of BIP 10.1.3.4.1 on Windows and Linux enterprise systems in silent mode. But in AIX I have difficults!!
System administrator has created to me an user called "bip" with reading, writing and executing permissions. I want to install BIP by using this user; the process begins well but the following error is appearing to me:
"You do not have the necessary permissions to write to the inventory at /oracle/oraInventory. Please make sure that you have the appropriate permissions to perform the installation.
Error:*** Alert: You do not have the necessary permissions to write to the inventory at /oracle/oraInventory. Please make sure that you have the appropriate permissions to perform the installation. *** "
I remembered the installations I have performed in others OS, and I remember despite users have not permissions to access the /oracle/oraInventory folder, the installations were performed well.
Is there any bug when you try to install on AIX?
    Thanks for your help

I would recommend to open an SR with oracle support
    Regards

  • I keep getting an error message, Windows update standalone installer (KB2857645)

I tired to update my flash player and now its all messed up, i could not successfully update it so i tried uninstalling it and now it says in the internet options under manage-addons section that my shockwave object has no publisher where it used to say adobe... and i tried to reinstall the flash player and i keep getting that same error message? can anyone help me?

    See:Windows update standalone installer (KB2857645)
Download the Shockwave Uninstaller here: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/#sp
You can also download the FULL installer there to reinstall, but follow the instructions from Microsoft to fix your Standalone installer first.

  • Where is the standalone installer in the support web site?

I get "This disk cannot be used to start up your computer" when I use installer downloaded from the App store. This is on the volume I have started 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) from. May work better from USB or CD/DVD.

There isn’t a “standalone” installer. The App Store one is the only one.
Open Disk Utility, select your Hard drive device (not the Macintosh HD Volume on the device).
At the Bottom of the window look for Partition Map Scheme:
If it says APM or Apple Partition Map, you need to re-partition your drive using GUID Partition Map (GPT). Yes, that will erase the drive.
If that is the case, we can walk you through the settings to alter the partition map.

  • Flash 9 standalone installer for IE

We need to have the flash 9 player installed on all systems

standalone installer (.exe, .msi etc) available for flash 9 or is
there any other method of packaging and installing the player on
all these machines? We want a IE compatible player.
I gave a google search and found a .exe file on a third-party

    inside :)
    Thanks for your help.

  • USB PIC18f4550 %26 a standalone installer

I want to be able to make a standalone installer of a labview application that sends information to PIC18f4550, via USB, if a condition is met. The thing is that I want to be able to use this device in different usb ports and in different computers, and from what I researched, you have to change the visa settings by selecting an option from a combo box, if the PIC is connected to a different USB port. What I want to know is if there's a way for me to dynamically change this option in the visa settings, so that when the device is connected to the computer, the visa section automatically gets populated with the correct information, and the program only has to wait for the condition to be met, so that it can send information to the PIC via USB.
Another thing is that from what I saw on a youtube video, you have to install an update so that the device can be recognized by labview, but I wish to know if this also has to be done for windows 8, 8.1, 9, etc., because the video only showed an update for windows 7. If the update has to be installed in every windows version, can someone please tell me where can I get these files?
This is the video I looked at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnxGS35XD64
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Nando88,
The USB VISA resource name has the following syntax:
    USB[board]::manufacturer ID::model code::serial number[::USB interface number]::RAW
You can get further information here.
You can use the next diagram to search a resource name of your device (change the USB Device Manufacturer and Model Code Known Values by your own Device Manufacturer and Model Code Known Values):
If you don't know how to get the Device Manufacturer and Model Code Known Values, write NI-VISA Driver Wizard on the start search bar, select USB Hardware bus, clic next and search for your device on the Device List, you can find the  USB Device Manufacturer and USB Model Code on the bottom left corner.
I hope this information helps you Nando88.

  • Where so I find the Apple updater standalone installer for Windows? Thanks!

I need a standalone installer for the Apple updater for windows, where do I find it?  Thanks!

Apple Software Update for Windows isn't distributed in a standalone version. It only comes as part of one of the installer bundles for the major applications (such as iTunes, QuickTime, Safari, Bonjour Print Services, and so forth).
We can rip open one of those installer bundles to get a copy of an AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi, which can be used to do a standalone ASU install. I'll walk you through doing it with an iTunes for Windows installer.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi to do a standalone ASU install.

  • Where can I find a standalone installation package rather than the current upgrade stub?

My home connection is dial-up and to download a 40MB "upgrade" solution would take about 2 hours. I use a public computer with a high-speed connection to download install packages of all the software I use. I can save these packages to a flash drive to bring home to run on my computer. The Mozilla "upgade" solution tries to upgrade the public computer. I do not get a transportable install package. Of course this does me no good.
Also, if I have a standalone installation package, I can keep it incase I need to re-install, or if I want to share Firefox with someone else.
Please send me a link to a standalone, transportable installation package that I can download.
    Thank you in advance.

The full off-line installer is available here:

  • Shockwave 10.4 standalone installer

Are Adobe going to make the Shockwave 10.4 standalone
installer available for legacy products running on Vista?

I believe that if you purchase a Family Pak, then you are licensed for up to 5 machines regardless of whether you have the DVD or CD set.
When you do such system upgrades it's a good idea to do the following:
    1. Repair the hard drive and permissions on the target system's startup volume.
    2. Update any third-party software for compatibility with the new system version if needed. Otherwise, disable or remove incompatible third-party software.
    3. Verify compatibility of any third-party peripherals or PCI cards. If you have incompatible hardware then upgrade it first or disconnect it.
    4. Clone your current installation to a bootable Firewire external drive. If you are running Panther or Tiger you can clone the startup volume using the Restore option of Disk Utility.
    5. Unless the installation requires that you boot from an installer CD or DVD, boot into safe mode before running the installer(s).
    6. Never install new software if the hard drive has errors that cannot be repaired. Use utilities like Disk Warrior, TechTool Pro, or Drive Genius to repair the drives, and if they fail then reformat the drive.
Follow the above religiously and you will likely encounter few if any problems with software updates or upgrades.
