WLST with Domain-wide Admin Port configured

Anybody tried WLST with Domain-wide Administration Port (DAP) turned on?
Is there a set of instuctions to change over smoothly to using the DAP URL instead
of the plain-text URL?
Thanks,
-RAJ

Hello Raj, to use DAP start WLST as
java -Dweblogic.security.SSL.ignoreHostnameVerification=true
-Dweblogic.security.TrustKeyStore=DemoTrust weblogic.WLST
if you are using the demonstration SSL keys and certificates
Thanks,
-satya

  • Datasync and domain Wide administration port problem

    Hi,
After enabling domain wide administration port in WLP 8.1, wee start to see following
exception on our managed servers log file. This happes in every mananaged server.
Datasync.war is deployed only in adminserver as the manual says. We see this error
every time we boot our managed servers.
    Any ideas?

Cause might The managed server was given a URL to boot from that resolves to a managed server address. If the managed server is running on the same machine as the admin server, this can be caused by a failure to specify a unique admin port.
Inspect the address:port provided to the managed server from which to boot. This address should be changed to reference the admin server rather than resolving to a managed server. If the managed server is running on the same machine as the admin server, you must differentiate them by providing a unique port number.
Now we log a clear message that prints something like ,

expected, or the local managed server port might already be in use if you

  • Domain wide administration port and node manager

I need a little help understanding how to properly configure the domain-wide

  • Domain-wide administration port?

    Hi,
I tried to start a cluster of 2 servers across 2 physical machines, I got error and server starting failed:
"Starting Managed Servers in Standby mode requires the domain-wide administration port."
    My topology is as following:
Domain A is created in machine A and copy to machine B:
Machine A: admin serverr at port 8001. Managed server at port 8088 of cluster1.
Machine B: Managed server at port 8088 of the same cluster1.
What is wrong? Why I cannot start cluster? Why I got error " need domain-wide administration port"? What is "domain-wide administration port"? Why my created domain admin server at Machine A didn't work?
Your prompt help is highly appreciated. I am waiting for your help.
    Thank you in advance

    Hi,
First of all the domain-wide administration port enables you to start a WebLogic Server instance in STANDBY state. It also allows you to separate administration traffic from application traffic in your domain.
so check in ur console whether u have specified the start up mode as STANDBY.if so change it to Running and try restarting the server:-
You can do that by chking the below link:-
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs92/ConsoleHelp/taskhelp/startstop/SpecifyAStartupMode.html.
Domain-wide administration port is used when you have configured ssl for ur servers. Refer http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs103/ConsoleHelp/taskhelp/domainconfig/EnableTheDomainwideAdministrationPort.html for more info.

  • Not able to connect iPlanet Proxy on ADMIN port with windows 2003

I have configured iPlanet 3.6 on Windows 2003 server with admin port as 10000 and Client connection on port 8000.
I m Able to use client port thru 8000 but when i goto particular URL i.e http:\\I.P:10000 it do ask for admin user name aND password.. and after that it show "page cannot be displayed" .. where as if i try on same server to connect to admin panel thru netscape . once it ask the user name password for iPlanet and after that is keeps asking user name password in WINDOWS STYLE.. liek some time it ask for IIS .. i dont know why and overall i am not able to connect to it on admin port ..
pls provide some solution if any one have faced similar problem..

I would strongly advise you to consider 4.0.2 version of proxy, 3.6 is not ofiicially supported on windows 2003, see http://docs.sun.com/source/819-3619-10/relnotes36sp8_win.html#wp19243
Speaking of possible workarounds for your issue with 3.6, I've seen admin console acting weird when it is configured with 5 digit port. Changing it to 4 digits might be worth a shot.

  • Duplicating AirPort Network Port Configuration/IP Aliasing with AirPort

I'm attempting to set up my Apache server to serve test websites with my network (I'll be serving by IP, and firewalled from the wide world of the web (namely, my eyes only websites (so they can be tested on windows browsers (alas, the majority of my viewership)))). Im fairly confident I can set up the Virtual Hosts (watch this space, that my be my next problem). However, I'd like to set up my computer to have more than one IP address. Im running Panther (10.3.9). Im connected wirelessly to my network. I have tried the recommended: go to 'Network Port Configurations' and click 'Duplicate'. However, the Duplicate button is inactive for my AirPort card. How can I duplicate it so I can IP Alias my mac?

I don't mean to question your decision, but why do you need to have more then one IP address?
With virtual hosts, you can redirect to a countless number folders (virtual sites) with your computer only having one IP address.
    <VirtualHost *:80>
    ServerName site1.yourwebsite.net
    DocumentRoot /Library/WebServer/Documents/sites/site1.yourwebsite.net
    </VirtualHost>
    <VirtualHost *:80>
    ServerName site2.yourwebsite.net
    DocumentRoot /Library/WebServer/Documents/sites/site2.yourwebsite.net
    </VirtualHost>
Of course you should use be using a dynamic DNS service. I use http://dyndns.org. They offer free service and also a great custom DNS service.
For testing purposes you can change you local hosts settings via Netinfo Manager. For example you can set site1.local and site2.local to point to 127.0.0.1 and then your site will be private and work like you had hundreds of IP addresses.

  • Problem with the error at DIO port configuration

I am working on the design of a model of a computer controlled Fuel Injection system using Gasoline Direct Igniton technology. I am using PCI-6025E as my data card and SCB-100 Connector block. My application is to get the digital input from the shaft encoder and the solenoids[acting as Inlet and exhaust valves]get actuated according to the VI. When I am trying to run the program theres an error 10001 occured at DIO port configuration. The statement is as" The error occured at the input string, the arrangement or ordering of the characters in the string is not consistent with the expected ordering". I checked the shaft encoder[S5S-50]pin out connections using an oscillograph and the voltages are as expected. Please let me
know the possible areas where I can figure out the error.

    Maruthi;
You are probably using VIs that are not supported by that DAQ device. That DAQ device of yours only allow unstrobed digital updates, meaning that the digital lines will be updated by Software calls.
Since you probably need high speed/accuracy on your digital updates, you would be better served by using the PCI-6534 instead.
    Hope this helps.

  • Live Migration Fails with error Synthetic FiberChannel Port: Failed to finish reserving resources on an VM using Windows Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V

Hi, I'm currently experiencing a problem with some VMs in a Hyper-V 2012 R2 failover cluster using Fiber Channel adapters with Virtual SAN configured on the hyper-v hosts.
I have read several articles about this issues like this ones:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/baca348d-fb57-4d8f-978b-f1e7282f89a1/synthetic-fibrechannel-port-failed-to-start-reserving-resources-with-error-insufficient-system?forum=winserverhyperv
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/18698.hyper-v-virtual-fibre-channel-troubleshooting-guide.aspx
But haven't been able to fix my issue.
The Virtual SAN is configured on every hyper-v host node in the cluster. And every VM has 2 fiber channel adapters configured.
All the World Wide Names are configured both on the FC Switch as well as the FC SAN.
All the drivers for the FC Adapter in the Hyper-V Hosts have been updated to their latest versions.
The strange thing is that the issue is not affecting all of the VMs, some of the VMs with FC adapters configured are live migrating just fine, others are getting this error.
    Quick migration works without problems.
We even tried removing and creating new FC Adapters on a VM with problems, we had to configure the switch and SAN with the new WWN names and all, but ended up having the same problem.
At first we thought is was related to the hosts, but since some VMs do work live migrating with FC adapters we tried migrating them on every host, everything worked well.
My guess is that it has to be something related to the VMs itself but I haven't been able to figure out what is it.
Any ideas on how to solve this is deeply appreciated.
    Thank you!

  • Pcnscfg, domain wide setting?

When you're implementing PCNS, once you have PCNS installed on all your DCs and you add a target using the Pcnscfg.exe addtarget command in the command prompt. Is this setting domain wide? Do you run it just once on one of the DCs and the value for the
target FIM instance will replicate to all the others or do you need to run the command on each DC with PCNS installed?

All settings are stored in configuration partition not in Schema.
One thing that is good to know and that I could not find. If you PCNS is installed in a different forest the SPN should be created in the domain that the target server is in. The pcnscfg.exe will tell you about that the SPN is missing but it's ok if you
    got it right.

  • INFA 9.0.1 Domain creation error [Port number already in use]

    Hi Experts,
I've installed INFA 9.0.1 HF2 recently on my Linux 64bit box and due to some configuration issue, I endup in uninstalling the same and deleted the complete installation folder.
Now I'm trying fresh INFA 9.0.1 HF2 install on the same Linux box, but getting the following port number error while creating domain.
"Node port number. This port is in use. Select another port number"
I tried with another port number also but all went in vain.
Anybody faced this situation before? Please help me to resolve this issue.
    Regards,
    Ram Sankar

Actually I'm new to Linux environment.. so I'm not sure on remove/killing the port number which are already in use. Hence I tried with different port number, but I'm getting popup like below,
"The Command to create the domain failed
Select Ok to correct the domain information and try the command again.
Select Continue to continue the installation without creating the domain.
you can run the command again to create a domain after the installation."
I'm not sure whether we can create a domain successfully after the installation.
Please anybody help me to remove/kill the existing port number (6005) which I was using it before. so that I can use the same to create a domain during installation only.
I appreciate your help in this regard.
    Thanks

changing it back to 7111 worked till i restarted the domain1 again.
my listener is configured to listen on ip address 0.0.0.0 on port 7111.
when i configured it to listen on 10.10.10.123 specifically ,it worked and also after restarting the server.

  • Network wide Admin accounts

How can I make network-wide admin accounts. Like, if I have a user in OD which has Administrator rights it seems like that only applies to the OD master. If I log in to a client and do "sudo" in terminal it wont let me.

Let's say that your directory administrator account is an administrator for the Open Directory domain you created on your server. Let's also call that account diradmin. OK, so here's the scoop:
Diradmin is a directory administrator for the OD master domain (shared LDAPv3 domain) because that account is a member of the admin group in that domain. Similarly, diradmin is a local administrator on the server because that account is a member of the local admin group, which is stored in the server's own local directory domain. Thus, diradmin is a local administrator for the server as well as a domain administrator for the directory.
With Mac OS X 10.4 or Windows XP and later, directory administrators don't magically become local administrators for clients that are bound to the directory. (Now Windows does use a trick by automatically granting the group "Domain Admins" local administrative functions; more on this below.)
Here are a couple of ways to make a directory administrator a local administrator of client systems. This can most easily be accomplished via ARD's Send UNIX Command option.
If you just want to make the single user "diradmin" a local administrator; on each client, issue the following command to add diradmin to the client's local admin group:
*sudo dseditgroup -o edit -a diradmin -t user admin*
If you want to mimic Windows behavior, the simplest way to do this is as follows:
    1. Create a new group in the server's shared OD master domain; let's call that group macdomainadmins using Workgroup Manager or dscl.
    2. Add any users from the server's OD master domain to that group. You can use Workgroup Manager to add them or dseditgroup.
    3. On each client that's bound to the server's OD master domain, issue the following command, which can also be sent out using ARD:
*sudo dseditgroup -o edit -a macdomainadmins -t group admin*
    4. You can add or remove any users to macdomainadmins later without adjusting any client settings.

  • How can I print with a wider left margin in Preview? (OSX 10.5)

How can I print with a wider left margin in Preview? (OSX 10.5)
    To punch Binder Holes.
Should be easy ... Make a Custom page with a wider left margin ... easy to set up, but it does not actually work for any printer I am connected to.
    Info so far:
Found an older post from 2002 ... "Make a custom page"
Mac Help has a limited, simple, incomplete answer: "Make a custom page"
Tried three printers. One Postscript Level 3 One Level 2 and one non postscript
Switching between page types in the drop down shows a change in the print preview, and the floating information shows the correct page size and larger left margin... but the "Custom Page Size" does not show a larger left margin, in the preview, no mater how it is set.
There also appear to be a relation ship between the radio Buttons for scale and the margin settings.
Test prints have simply cut off the left side of the document, and scaled the document from the right side in and the top down.
    Printing a PDF from Preview

    Thanks
    Peter

Thanks ... tried the Paper Handling, but no lock.
Based on the fact that any scaling, "moves" the image down and to the left on the paper ...
Th only "work around" solution is to ...
Rotate the PDF page 180, then scale slightly (90% or so ...)
This pushes the upside down page, down and to the left.
While this is the opposite of what is desired, the print is then correct when
it is punched and placed into a three ring binder.
Assumption is the application that creates the documnt, needs to have the paper margins set. The reality is, an application like Preview, that does not "create anything", needs to handle existing documents PDF, JPEG and print to Custom Page configurations.
ie: In Preview, Custom Page does not work correctly,

  • Getting SPWeb.CurrentUser as null with Windows Authentication (AD), when configured for Claims Authentication

    Hi All,
We recently migrated to SP 2013 from SP 2010. We are using most of the OOB features, with a few custom code. We have implemented a custom ASP.NET Membership Provider that authenticates against a web service. This was working fine on SP 2010.
The entire code base was migrated to SP 2013 (with .net fw 4.5, etc) and any issues Compile / Runtime were fixed. However, we are stuck at one bug, which seems to be occuring only while trying to login with Windows Authentication. When a user tries to login
with Forms Authentication, the error is never noticed.
    Scenrio: Login as Windows Authentiction.
Result: The user is signed into the system and is authenticated against the AD. For random page loads - it throws access denied (even though he is a site collection admin). While attaching a debugger, we found that, at times the SPWeb.CurrentUser is null (weird).
At the same time, the HttpContext.Current.Request.IsAuthenticated returns true. Which means the User is Authenticated, but not available in the SPWeb.CurrentUser object.
Attached are couple of ULS Logs that we found. The line which says IsAuthenticated=True, UserIdentityName=, ClaimsCount=0 is a little disturbing. Can you please let me know what is happening here? I am not able to access the root site (http://win2012d2:1234/)
however, i am able to access (http://win2012d2:1234/SitePages/Home.aspx) just fine, without any issues.
Please note, this error is only when the user is logged into sharepoint as a windows user. The forms user faces no such issues.

    Hi Mohamed,
According to your description, my understanding is that the error occurred when users login with Windows Authentication.
From the error message, I recommend to check if the anonymous access is enabled for the web application.
And please also make sure that the users all are available and have permission to access the site.
