WM-HUM-QM interface

Hi
I have WM with HUM scenario. I have configured the settings for QM interface in WM  as well in HU.
For non QM active material we go by inbound delivery creation and for QM active materials we have to go by IM MIGO transaction which will create a TR and inspection lot number.
But i getting error when i do MIGO against PO w/o having any confirmation key.system showing me the delivery being prepared and then the screen is terminated. Why system is creating a delivery? it should have to create a TR and inspection lot number.
Can anybody clarify me the QM process in WM-HUM scenario and also tell me where i am wrong?
Regards
Anjali

Hi Anjali ,
Is there any material document created. You can check by mb03 or mb51.
If created then go to LT06
& process the TO & confirmation by LT12.
If material Document is not created the Error is apart from QM &  WM .
you have to check settings in mm point of view & with the help of abap person.

    Dear All,
I have resolved the above problem by following the below procedure.
    step-1
HUM log recovery has been done, but problem still persisted.
    net stop crmdmgtd
deleted upm (hum) log file from the location NMSROOT\databases\cmf\upm.log
NMSROOT\objects\db\win32\dbsrv10.exe -f NMSROOT\databases\cmf\upm.db --> the database was set to forced closed (i.e. indicating that there are no more pending transactions)
    step-2
    net stop crmdmgtd
    NMSROOT\bin\perl.exe NMSROOT\bin\dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=upm dmprefix=UPM --> reinitialized the HUM database
    net start crmdmgtd
Now I am successfully able to create the interface utilization poller in HUM.
Please rate this thread if it is useful of anyone..

  • Im using Duet2 Interface with Garageband 09 when I connect my acoustic guitar to the combi jack I get a buzzing/humming sound how can I eliminate this?

I'm using Duet 2 Audio Interface with Garageband 09, when I connect my acoustic guitar to the combi jack I get a buzzing/humming sound.  How can I eliminate this?

do you have any thing plugged into wall power? Audio interface, computer, speakers, amp for the guitar? if so are they all plugged into the same power strip? if so, have you tried another outlet?
Altertively have you tried a diffrent port on the combo jack? Have you tried a diffrent guitar cable? Have you tried a diffrent guitar or audio input device like a mic? Is the device directly plugged into the combo jack, or is it being routed throughs some thing?

  • HUM Interface utilization report error

    Hi Joe,
I have LMS 3.1 installed at one of our client site.
In HUM they are pulling the interface utilization repor

es comming in the reports are false. the values are in bytes/sec fomat. lets there is a link of 1 GbPS in one of my device. if i am converting the TX utilization in to Gbps it becames 4.04 Gbps. how it is possible that the tx load will reach to 4 Gbps on a 1 Gb link?
    Please help me.

You need to upgrade to 1.1.2 to get 64-bit support which is required for such high-speed interfaces.  This can be downloaded at http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/cw2000-hum .

  • 10.4.10 vers 1.1 | Loud noise and Hum on speakers thru' USB Audio Interface

After doing this update all of a sudden my Mbox2 produces loud noise and Hum on my attached speaker when hooking up the power adapter to my MbookPro or adding a second display... I can virtually hear when the computer is computing thru' the speakers... This noise thing adds up the more equipment I hook up...
Does anyone know what this could be....???

This can happen if the software is "allowing"
more power to be accessed by the USB ports..
This isn't quite accurate. USB devices can ask for power, up to 2.5 watts (500 ma @ 5 volts), from a USB port. Software can query the device for its power requirements & shut down the power to it (& warn you it is doing so) if it exceeds that limit. However, the hardware in Macs themselves (& essentially all other computers) also have a number of power limiting circuits, independent of the OS software, that make it just about impossible for the software to "allow" more power than this to be drawn from the port. (If they didn't, they would not meet most of the world's safety codes.)
Moreover, if your USB speakers (or any other USB device) requires more than 2.5 watts, it would never have been bus powered under any version of the OS, assuming it meets USB standards (IOW, displays an official USB logo & is not itself defective).
If the technician is telling you something different, it might be a good idea to find a more qualified one, or at least get a second opinion.

  • Mac Mini and Audio Interface Hum

    Hie Guys,
Whenever my mac mini connect to line 6 pod xt live via USB, it gives annoying hum that never goes away unless I touch the handlebar of the line 6 pod xt live or certain parts of my guitar. It is proven , when I unplug the usb the hum dissappears.
I suspect it is more to mac mini grounding issue but i cannot be certain. Tried some possible solution and yet to try using ground lift isolator and isolator transformer.
Appreciate is anyone can suggest some help here.
    Thanks,

    I am using:
the Apple wireless keyboard, which uses bluetooth
Microsoft Mouse 4000, which uses some 2.4GHz wireless transmission to a USB dongle
    an iPhone USB sync cable
I will switch to a wired mouse and see if it subsides.
    Thanks for that suggestion!

  • HUM 1.2.2 Interface Reports

    Hi,
I have attaced a Quick Report, Interface against our 6500's.
Is there any way other than resetting the DB, to correct the silly figures for Interface UBS-S-001 6/1 (this is the second 720SUP, standby) ?
    Thanks

You don't need to reinit the DB to remove this.  You can either wait for the data to age out, or edit the poller to remove and re-add this problematic device.

  • How can i extract data strings (temp. press. rel.hum etc) using a Virtual interface through an RS-232 connection?

How can i extract data strings (temperature, pressure, relative humidity etc) using a Virtual interface through an RS-232 connection?

Try this.  It is in LV 8.5.
Note the double % in the format string.  This is so the % in the input string is treated as a percent rather than a code.
You may also have to work with the line feed characters in case they are different in the string coming in compared to how the string shows up in the web browser.

  • Prime LMS: HUM performance monitoring interface selection

    Hi @all,
I am uisng Prime LMS 4.2.5. We want to monitor the performance of interfaces (in and out discards, utilization etc.)
Is it possible to select other interfaces than the "Link Ports"? I want to monitor some server ports.
I have created my own group, but this one cannot be selected in the threshold configuration.
    Regards
    Joerg

You can select the other ports/interfaces when while creating poller, you'll see following options :
Poll by Pattern  Select patterns on which you want to query devices and poll instances
Poll all Instances  Poll all instances of the selected template on the selected devices
Poll by User Selection  Select the instances on which you want to poll the devices
Select the Poll by user Selection to select the desired interfaces. It Polls the selected instances of the device. You cannot select this preference type for Device Groups and Port Groups data sources.

  • Intel iMac 20' users - any problems with noise on your firewire interfaces?

Someone please tell me that they have a quiet intel iMac 20'/Firewire interface set up, I'm having problems with a lot of digital noise from my Saffire LE & badly am hoping it's 'fixable' or just a faulty unit but more so, praying it's not noise from the iMacs Power supply that will interfere with any firewire interface I get???
I've read many posts about G5's suffering from noisy psu's which was one factor in my choosing an intel iMac & I chose the Saffire on it's great reviews for sound quality, there's no way I can work with the noise I'm getting & I'm pretty much panicking that if it IS the iMac & firewire thats the problem I'll be screwed as i only have 6 pin firewire as a useable option (really don't want to use usb2)
Incidentally, the 'budget' set up I had previously (PC & soundblaster audigy) didnt suffer from any noise like this (at least not that was even audible with the mixer levels at conversational level!) which i guess rules out any blame of this on 'mains hum/interference'?
The noise is there with the saffire's monitor output knob at any setting & with no inputs connected, it;s even worse if i power the saffire with it's external psu instead of off buss power. I'm not using a firewire hub & I've tried switching firewire leads & removing the firewire hard drive i have in the other port in case this was affecting it.
Would really appreciate hearing from anyone with similar troubles or even better anyone thats NOT having this problem with a 20' intel iMac & firewire interface so at least i know there's light (& quiet!) at the end of the tunnel
    Adam
    Intel iMac 20'   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

funnily enough I'm going the other way, I have a rack of external modules/>sampler/fx etc & a crate of looms I've just unplugged as they've not been >turned on in so long!!!
    I hear you there!
The noise is there without any inputs at all to the interface, its defiantely >digital though, its like a toned version of the sound of an old telephone >modem.
What I mean, is try disconnecting everything, drives and all. You might even disconnect the interface and crank up the iMacs volume to see if it is there. If it is, you can try the UPS and see if that takes care of it. Then add them in one at a time. All it takes is one cheap power brick in the mix to cause all kinds of trouble (if your using powered monitors, that brick too). Noisy components can actually send noise back into the source power.
I know it can be really frustrating, especially if you have noise coming from more that one source. The key is to strip everything until it is quiet and then add them back in to see where the worst is. Then come up with a plan to try to get rid of the noise.

  • Line Output From Audio Interface Mutes When Connected To HDMI

    Hello Apple Community,
As my first post to the community, I would like to shed some light on an issue I have found no answer to on the internet or support lines. I have spent a great deal of time self-diagnosing and over the phone with technical support for all devices in question.
    Problem:
I have no sound when connected to HDMI. The problem is not exclusive to HDMI, as I bought two Mini DisplayPort adapters (HDMI & VGA) -- neither of which resolved my issue.
    Hardware:
MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012) - Intel i7, 8GB RAM, GT 650M Graphics
    Audio Interface - Started out with a PreSonus AudioBox 2-In, 2-Out. Now it's a Yamaha Steinberg UR22 (2-In, 2-Out)
Powered Studio Monitors - Yamaha HS7 (Pair)
    External Display - Vizio 37", 1080p TV
At first glance, it may sound like my problem is simply that I'm not set to the correct audio output when I'm connected to HDMI. However, this is not the case. With both audio interfaces, I double-checked that the output did not swap to HDMI when plugging in. Many communities believe this is a ground-loop issue with anything from my interface / speakers, to the HDMI cable itself. When I spoke to an audio specialist from Yamaha, he assured me that grounding issues were not the case. He said that ground-loops will only cause noise (hiss, static, hum, etc.), not a complete mute.
    Thank you,
    Matthew Morris

Okay, so Steinberg responded after 6 days to set up a call time. Three days after that, I finally received the call. Yes, 9 total days.........
Jeff from Steinberg went over all of my issues and went through a whole diagnosis. At the point where I got rid of the stock Yamaha XLR to TRS and used some unbalanced instrument cables I had laying around, the monitors worked! Jeff and I narrowed it down to either bad cables or (more than likely) bad XLR ports. I believe the ladder because the possibility of receiving 2 bad cables is less likely than possibly a single XLR port having a faulty ground or something--which would lead to the above issues.

  • I keep getting this annoying "hum" whenever I record and play back!

I'm using the latest iMac desktop, w/my Motif 7... connected through an EDIROL interface Model UA-1EX.
Whenever I record/playback there is this "hum" that I can't get remove, whether I select "monitor on or off!"
But I'm also using my ALTEC LANSING computer speakers w/wolfer as my monitors.
Do I need to invest in some monitors designed for computer recording applications?
    Thanks,
    Ron

the first thing to check/try is that all AC powered devices are plugged into the same power outlet.

  • Noise/hum in signal chain

When playing electric guitars and basses I'm having problems with hum:
1--noise in my amps (amps are solid state)
2--with guitars or basses plugged directly into a usb interface, there is hum...more hum when the iBook is plugged in than when it is running on battery power
I've tested the guitars, pickups, and cables sufficiently to rule them out as the source. There isn't hum when recording acoustic instruments and voice with microphones.
This leads me to believe there's an issue with the electric in my room/house. I don't have experience with electrical stuff, but I've heard about special power strips that address issues with grounding. Anyone have solutions/suggestions?

I unplugged the speakers cables and the noise was still there -- so it's interference, nothing from the Mac itself. It's like crackily static, and the loudness increased when the Mac started a new download.
    I think it's the Wifi!
My old MPro was hardwired to ethernet but I'm using the wireless chip on the nMP until I can run cable over to it. So that radio must be pumping out enough signal to mess with the speakers, that's possible no? I also have Bluetooth turned on for the mouse.
    FYI M-Audio DX-4s.

  • Buzz/hum when connected to krk studio monitors

ok so i have an imac (3.06 ghz intel core duo). i had a klipshe 2.1 speaker system connected with no problems. then i bought a pair of krk rokit 6's studio monitors and just have a whole lot of humming now. so far ive connected headphones to my imac and no hum.... connected my ipod to the krk's and no hum..... connected my krk's to my macbook pro (while it was plugged into the same outlet as my imac) and no hum..... bought a m-audio fast track and connected the krk's through that to my imac and still it hums.... what gives? please help. thanks
    shawn

Shawn, I am getting a 1 KHz whine through Behringer Truth monitors using M-Audio USB Fast Track Ultra audio/midi interface with an iMac i5 27-inch with LED monitor. The whine occurs continuously from the moment I open Logic Studio or iTunes, when the output is routed through the Fast Track Ultra. The whine does not occur when I use the imac output to imac's speakers. I also get an electronic scraping noise when I use the blue tooth connected magic mouse. I have installed ferrites on the monitor speaker wires with no reduction in the whining noise or electronic scraping noise. I have also ordered the USB with ferrite collar to see if the connection between audio/midi interface and the imac is the source of the noise. I am considering a Hum-X, as well, but I am getting into serious money taking stabs at a problem for which there ought to be plenty of competent technical support. The fact that this whine is at 1 KHz and not lower suggests that I am not suffering a typical ground loop. I am a former Pro Tools user who never had a hum or whine from my Digi and G4, which I am seriously considering recomissioning so I can make music again. I am spending way too much time and money making educated guesses and trying to diagnose a problem that all but kills the utility and purpose of this new system. I too am calling on all great engineers to step up with a diagnosis and solution.

  • Best way to disconnect firewire audio interface (power down apogee duet)

This may seem like a really naive question, but I am brand new to firewire as well as Macs, so forgive me.
It doesn't seem healthy to just leave my Apogee Duet powered via the firewire connection when I'm not using it for a length of time (ie - doing graphics rather than music). With any and all software that had been using it closed down, and my system prefs for audio back to non-duet input/output for audio, can the firewire cable to it just be disconnected, cutting power to it? Or should I power down the computer, then disconnect, and power back up?
Uh, and I guess I'm posting this question here because it seems more likely for there to be a number of Duet and/or audio firewire interface people here...
    Thanks,
    Apple

    hi,
    you can leave it active.
    won't damage anything.
in fact, it might stop damage.
only thing i find is, if i switch the mac off totally, i get a ground loop (or lack of)occurring to my pwr amp/monitors.
you could yank the FW cable but it'll produce the loop (hum).
if your are using small; speakers, you might not hear this, because it's low, but it's still there.
