    Manish,
I do not understand how this going to solve the issue because why we need both KANBAN and WM control cycles for one material withdrawal for production?

  • KANBAN control cycle pk01 error

    Hi friends,
I am using SAP 5.0 and material is WM activated, getting error while creating control cycle in PK01.
    Error -: Storage bin 002 / / does not exist {Message no. PK033}
Note-:it can be solved with PKMC but in SAP 5.0 Pkmc T-code is not available.

    Hi,
Check in the material master for the material, whether you have maintained any fixed bin in WM2 for the storage type 150.
    Thanks,

  • Control Cycle information missing in COR2

    Hi experts !
I encountered an issue in all client about reservations update with control cycle values for alternative items.
We use alternative items in a standard manufacturing BOM. (Strategy 1; probability of usage 100 % and 0 % for the others). These alternative items are WM managed and the control cycle are properly maintained.
When we create the process order, reservation items are created for all items (even for items with a required quantity to 0 which are the ones with probability usage 0 %) in RESB.
When releasing the process order, when the system is reading the control cycl information, only the reservation items with a required quantity different from 0 are updated with the WM info : Staging ind. (BERKZ) , Warehouse No (LGNUM), Storage Type (LGTYP), Storage Bin (LGPLA)
I  could not find any customizing functions to manage reservations and control cycles.
I looked for a SAP notes but could not find ant soving our issue.
Do you have any solution to our issue ?
Regards and many thanks for your help...

    Dear,
Please refer the OSS Note 1136321 - COMAC: Double Transfer Requirements in WM Material Staging
Or you can raise the issue to SAP in that case.

  • Issue with control cycle

    Hello all,
Can somebody please tell me how to find who created a particular control cycle?
Is there a way to find the id of the person who created/modified a control cycle?
    If yes, please tell me.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Umakanth.

    Hi
    Use Transaction AUT10 with T-codes PK01/PK02.
Give the period for which you want to find changes.
keep the changed by field open , i.e dont put your user id there.
and execute, you will get list of all changes done through creation or chage transaction of control cycle.
check it out and revert back for further discussion.
    Hope it helps you.

  • Creation of control cycles for lean WH

    Hi All,
Is it possible to create control cycles (backflush) for LWH, if so how?

    HI ,
There is one more way to create control cycle.
    1. PK05 - create supply area ( earlier explained the procedure)
    2. PKMC - enter plant - go to change mode ( click on change icon ) - in the right hand window - you can see the create / copy icon.
    3.click on create icon
4.select option - classic Kanban or event driven kanban
    5.enter material/ plant/ supply area.
6.enter no of kanban / qty.
7.In replenishment strategy - select appropiate option ( in our case it is stock transfer)
8.enter - the tab will change from replenishment strategy to stock transfer.
    9.enter storage location.
    10.enter destination- storage type- bin
11.enter if any additional data required to enter.
    12. save- control cycle will get generated.
    thanks
    Om

  • Handling Unit Management and supply areas with WM/control cycles

    Dear all,
has anyone come across the issue how to handle a replenishment process for production with supply area within WM and Handling Unit Management?
Normally a supply area is being staged via control cycles. in the supply area, all storage units get lost (standard functionality as far as I know). When we post the GI, the components will be taken out of the supply area, backflushing is not allowed as far as I know.
Now: what happens if HUM is switched on? Do we have to enter a HU for these GI's as well? Or does the supply area  keep the information of the SU/HU? I want to avoid that the users have to tell the system the HU no. for every screw they take/consume...
    Thanks & regards
    Christian

    Hi,
    (as already described,)
it is possible to use handling unit management together with lean
warehouse management. You activate handling unit management independent
from storage unit management (that is only possible in case of full-WM
    as far as I know).
Only in case if storage location is full-WM- AND HU-managed the storage
unit management is always active and HU numbers are taken over as SU
numbers. In all other cases HUM and SUM are independent from each other
and number ranges must be set a way that they are not overlapping.
    Regards,
    Ely

  • Control cycle for production staging SAP WM

We currently have control cycle for kanban purchase orders. Do I need to create new control cycle production staging. Actually I will be using fixed bin for production consumption. Kindly confirm whether existing control cycle of purchase order can be used.

Material Staging Indicator for Production Supply
The material staging indicator defines the method of how needed materials can be supplied for production with the assistance of the Warehouse Management system.
As with the location coordinates (warehouse number, storage type, and storage bin), the system files this indicator in the control cycle.
The following staging types are supported:
    "1": Pick parts
These materials are picked according to the required quantity specified in the production order.
    "2": Crate or kanban parts
These materials are always removed from the warehouse in full cases. These can be ordered, for example, as soon as a case of needed parts is emptied in production.
    "3": Release order parts
Release order parts are scheduled individually and the quantities are supplied manually to replenishment storage bins based on the requirements of production orders and the stock levels in the scheduled production supply areas.
    "4": Manual staging
Materials are staged manually. For example, you can transport individual components using manually created transfer orders, or you can use the bypass method to transport them directly from the goods receipt zone to production. In goods receipt posting, postings are made to the production storage bins from the control cycles.
    "0": Not relevant to WM-PP
These materials are not relevant to WM staging. They cannot be requested using the WM system.

  • PP Kanban control cycle

    Hi team,
I was referring the below statement to understand the control cycle.
The Kanban Control Cycle business object is used to control the flow of information and material between the demand source and the supply source in a pull environment. It controls the material quantities in production. It defines a loop between demand source and the supply source for recurring replenishment.
In the above statement, it is mentioned that, it is linking the demand source and supply source. In SAP, how we are linking the the demand source and supply source?
While creating the supply area in PK05, we are providing the storage location. Is this supply source or demand source?
In SAP, where we are assigning the another source (supply / demand source)?
    Regards
    psk

    Hello Mario,
Thank you very much for your detailed explanation on storage bin and container.
    1. So, if the storage location is not WM managed, there will not be any storage bin. The storage location itself will act as a storage bin. Am i right?
You said that, Containers are the physical means in which materials are kept in this process. a container usually equals a KANBAN. Normally there are at least two (but can be more) containers in a control cycle.
    2. We are using pallets to replanish the supply area storage locations (production store which is near to work center). So in this example, the pallets are called as "containers". Am i right?
    Consider the below example:
    3. In control cycle i have maintained the number of kanban as 4. As you said above, i need to maintain 4 containers. But i have only one field to maintain the container. How to maintain 4 containers in one field?
    Thank you.
    psk

  • Create Control Cycle(LPK1)

    Hello Experts,
Can anybody let me know Is there an Standard SAP Program to load 'Control Cycles(LPK1) into SAP?
    Thanks for the help.

    Hi Zaya,
If u check field  'Export Parameter' in search help, that is enough.
Basically the use of import parameter checking is that
whenever a field is selected through search help those values are copied from that screen to the search help which can be used inside search help exit.
'Export Parameter' will pass possible values from search help to the screen for selection.
So, if u do not use Search help exits inside search helps, it is enough to check only 'Export Parameter'.
    Thanks.

  • Change control cycle record

    Hi all,
Can anyone please tell me the transaction code or if some config. required to change my control cycle record.
I created one from PK01, now when I wish to edit it at PK02, it gives me the following error.
Control cycle from WM/PP may not be processed here
    Message no. PK083
    Diagnosis
Control cycles are created both for Kanban and for warehouse management. However, control cycles created for the warehouse management system may not be used in Kanban and vice versa.
    Any help is appreciated
    Rgds,

  • PP/WM control cycle records

Our company is working to install SAP WM. I am looking for easy to use reporting to identify materials that are missing control cycle records, but have been allocated to a work center/operation.

    Hi,
Try this table PKHD at SE16/SE11 . Create a query for the table so that you can get the information.

  • Manual Staging in control cycle TR creation WM/PP integration

    Hi,
We defined Material Staging Indicator as 4 in Control Cycle
How do we trigger TR for this materials ly??? Do we need to create TR manually? OR any transaction which will allow to create TR automatically for desired quantities
When i go to Change production Order and WM pick list Requested quantiry/confirmed Quantory is Blank only requirement qty column has values
How i can enter quantities manually and trigger TR
Can i have in Prduction Order few materials manually staged and few option 1 [pick parts]

    Let me rephrase
We are using Standard PP/WM integration to stage materials from warehouse to production Bins.
We defined Material Staging Indicator as 4 [Manual Staging] in Control Cycle of materials [as business wishes to move materials manually from warehouse to production Bins]
How do we trigger Transfer requests[TR] creation to initiate movement of raw materials from warehouse to Production bins.
Do we need to create TRu2019s manually? If yes How [As I understand TR doesnu2019t allow to move more than one material at a time from one Bin to another]
When i go to Change production Order and select WM pick list I could see Requested quantity and confirmed Quantity column are not getting filled only requirement qty column has values. All columns are grayed.
Can we have few materials manually staged and few via Staging indicator option 1 pick parts?  so that all critical parts will be moved manually and others SAP to create TRu2019s automatically
    PLEASE HELP

  • Control cycle

    Gurus,
What is the purpose of control cycle. Is it mandatory, for picking material for Production order.
<<Locked - reason: failed to search before posting question>>
Edited by: Csaba Szommer on Feb 8, 2011 1:30 PM

Control cycle is maintained for WM staging of components for Process or Production orders.
By maintaining control cyccle, you assign a staging indicator for material, plant and Supply area combination which will detrmine how the  Material Staging is done for Production Supply (LPK1)

  • Control cycle mass creation with staging indicator 4

    Hi All,
Is there any way to create control cycles in mass for staging indicator other than 3 - rel order parts?

You can define a generic control cycle for manual staging parts and it will be valid for parts w/o control cycle. Please read SAP online help:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/c6/f841494afa11d182b90000e829fbfe/frameset.htm
For manual staging, you can define one control cycle per production supply area for all materials. This control cycle is then valid for all the materials in the production supply area, for which you have not defined an individual control cycle.
If you want other mass cration / change tool, you have to develop it on your own.
