WM/PP interface and use of WM in manufacturing

Gurus,
Can someone please share the detailed config for WM/PP interface and the generic scenarios for the use of WM in manufacturing sites?
Please provide building blocks and detailed configuration description
I understand the use and high level use of WM in manufacturing but i need a detailed step by step config and te use of LP transactions in WM/PP and the usual RF transactions.
A quick reply will be appreciated.
Regards
Kiran Yarlagadda

HI Kiran
The main master data for PP interface with Wm are
1. Production supply area
2. Control cycles.
In the defination of production supply area with repect to plant we attach the WMstorage location from which back flushing should occur.
Secndly the control cycle , in combination of  Plant, Materail and Production supply area attach the storage type  and Bin from which the materials need to be picked for back flushing
Coming to configuration : Main thing is type of staging in combination of plant & production supply area
and assignment of production scheduling profile to plant where u can define the about TR and time of batch creation like so.
Coming to the flow
The from production version  get the routing and in turn work centers
To work centers we attach the production supply area and in turn  WM storage location n storage type .
Please let me know if you need further details

  • IVI-com PowerMeter: Getting to Channel and Measurement interface and using FetchCwPower & FetchWaveform

I need a bit of help for the proper usage of the Channel and Measurement interface of IVI-COM driver. I have a sucessfully used the Active-X Automation Open, then the intiate methods via the class browser. Also know that there is communication with the device as some various properties can be set, but Im a bit stuck on the correct way to wireup and use the Measurements on Channel. In C# the syntax is myMeter.Channels.Items["CH1"].Measurements.FetchCwPower or FetchWaveform.
Pretty sure the Channels interface down Wiring down to the Channel, then passing the name in a constant, then to Measurements. But the Blue IsValid input and output wire connection are throwing me off, and causing labview to bomb. Any basic help with or example vi using IVI-COM and iviPwrMeter and the Channel Measurements would be appreciated!!

Are you trying to use the class driver or the instrument specific driver? For the class driver, is your IVI-COM driver listed in MAX?
For an example of using the instrument specific driver, see http://www.ni.com/white-paper/4505/en/

  • The difference between IEEE802.1Q Native VLAN sub-interface and Physical interface?

    Hello
I think the following topologies are supported for Cisco Routers
And the Physical interface also can be using as Native VLAN interface right?
    Topology 1.
     R1 Gi0.1 ------ IEEE802.1Q Tunneling  L2SW ------ Gi0 R2
    R1 - configuration
    interface GigabitEthernet0.1
     encapsulation dot1Q 1 native
     ip address 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0
    Topology 2.
    R1 Gi0 ------ IEEE802.1Q Tunneling L2SW ------ Gi0 R2
    interface GigabitEthernet0
    ip address 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0
And is it ok to use the physical interface and sub-interface with dynamic routing such as EIGRP or OSPF etc?
    R1 Gi 0 ---- Point to Multipoint EIGRP or OSPF ---- Gi0 R2 / R3
Gi 0.20--- Point to Point EIGRP or OSPF --- Gi0.10 R4  (same VLAN-ID)
    R1 - configuration
    interface GigabitEthernet0
     ip address 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0
    interface GigabitEthernet8.20
     encapsulation dot1Q 20
     ip address 20.0.0.1 255.255.255.0
Any information is very appreciated. but if there is any CCO document please let me know.
Thank you very much and regards,

    Hello,
    The diagram is helpful.
If I am getting you correctly, you have three routers interconnected by a switch, and you want them to operate in a hub-and-spoke fashion even though the switch is capable of allowing direct communication between any of these routers.
Your first scenario is concerned with all three routers being in the same VLAN, and by using neighbor commands, you force these routers to establish targeted EIGRP adjacencies R1-R2 and R1-R3, with R1 being the hub.
Your second scenario is concerned with creating one VLAN per spoke, having subinterfaces for each spoke VLAN created on R1 as the router, and putting each spoke just in its own VLAN.
Your scenarios are not really concerned with the concept of native VLAN or the way it is configured, to be honest. Whether you use a native VLAN in either of your scenarios, or whether you configure the native VLAN on a subinterface or on the physical interface makes no difference. There is simply no difference to using or not using a native VLAN in any of your scenarios, and there is no difference to the native VLAN configuration being placed on a physical interface or a subinterface. It's as plain as that. Both your scenarios will work.
My personal opinion, though, is that forcing routers on a broadcast multi-access segment such as Ethernet to operate in a hub-and-spoke fashion is somewhat artificial. Why would you want to do this? Both scenarios have drawbacks: in the first scenario, you need to add a neighbor statement for each spoke to the hub, limiting the scalability. In the second scenario, you waste VLANs and IP subnets if there are many spokes. The primary question is, though: why would you want an Ethernet segment to operate as a hub-and-spoke network? Sure, these things are done but they are motivated by specific needs so I would like to know if you have any.
Even if you needed your network to operate in a hub-and-spoke mode, there are more efficient means of achieving that: Cisco switches support so-called protected ports that are prevented from talking to each other. By configuring the switch ports to spokes as protected, you will prevent the spokes from seeing each other. You would not need, then, to configure static neighbors in EIGRP, or to waste VLANs for individual spokes. What you would need to do would be deactivating the split horizon on R1's interface, and using the ip next-hop-self eigrp command on R1 to tweak the next hop information to point to R1 so that the spokes do not attempt to route packets to each other directly but rather route them over R1.
I do not believe I have seen any special CCO documents regarding the use of physical interfaces or subinterfaces for native VLAN or for your scenarios.
    Best regards,
    Peter

  • Generate new interface and camera

i have installed niimaq 251. How do i create a camera that meets my specs?. the ones i see, the fields are
grayed out and can not be modified. How can i enable grayed out fields in the camera file?....
My camera is parallel interface and uses 12 bits. I can not change these in the camera files i open.
    Habib

    Habib,
If you can not find a camera file for your camera that ships with the IMAQ driver, try looking at out camera advisor for any support we may provide for the camera:
    http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/nipc.specs?action=search&asid=1102
This will incude Camera Files, Support Files, Cabling etc...
If you are unable to locate the file for your camera, we typically will attempt to create one in house. You will need to fill out the attached questionnaire and return it to [email protected] (IMAQ/Motion). We will also need the timing diagrams, pinouts and any other instructional information from the camera. It is also benefical if you can send in the camera so we can verify the file works properly. Once our engineers have more info ont eh camera they can give you a time
    line for completion.
    I hope this helps!

  • Different values in halp input of web interface and infoobject

    Hello,
I created a web interface with selector variable value with appearance help input. If I display this web interface and use help input, values will be displayed. But these values are different to the master data of the appropriated InfoObject in SAP BW. What could be the problem?
    Thanks for your help.

There is a difference in the way the Web Interface that reads data and the Way Bex reads the Master data in the F4.
For Web reads the data directly from the Master Data tables...but in Bex especially the system generated Infoobjects get data from other system tables.

  • What connectors do I need for my ipad so I can connect it to my apogee duet 2 interface essentially using the ipad as an instrument utilizing a few of the synth and drum machine apps to record tracks into Logic on my Mac?

Ok, so I completely feel like this is a stupid question for those of you already in the know and recording tracks onto your Computers DAW from instrument apps on the iPad and other i devices. I can not seem to find out exactly what connector or unit I need to be able to connect and use my ipad as a instrument to record tracks onto logic. I have an ipad2 that I want to connect to my apogee duet 2 interface which is obviously connected to my Mac. I know Logic comes with plenty of drum and synth options but I still want to be able to use beatmaker, jam up pro and the sunrizer synth apps on some of my tracks. I do have the camera conversion adaptors. So my question is, do I just run from the camera adapter in the ipad into the midi port on my apogee interface? (I'm new to and still learning about midi) Or is there a special 30 pin cable I need to get that runs from the ipad into the XLR or quarter inch in the break out cables on the apogee? I did find one cord out there that plugged into the ipad and had left and right XLR connectors but my duets break out cable only has two inputs each is their own channel. Also , if the cable I need isn't midi  and does connect to the breakout cables, do I set it as an instrument or as a mic in the apogee software? Or am I completely way off base and needing something different all together. Any help would be much appreciated!
I have a fare amount of experience when it comes to recording, set up and the flow of standard instruments, using external hardware and plugins. But the last few weeks I spent a lot of time programming some great beats in beatmaker on my ipad and I want to track them into Logic. It seemed like no matter how I worded the questions when researching what I thought was and should be simple to figure it out, it just took me to answers I wasn't looking for. Thank you ahead of time. Like I said I'm just starting to get out of my comfort zone and learn about midi and the more digital side of things. So sorry about any ignorance concerning that side of things.

The new Apogee Duet for iPad and Mac, is compaible with iOS devices and includes a USB Midi input. This sounds like the perfect solution for your workflow.

  • How can I use Pro Tools with Fire Wire interface and Fire Wire external HD

If Mac Book Pro has only one Fire Wire jack and I want to use Pro Tools with an M Audio 1814 Firewire interface and an external Fire Wire HD how do I get around the fact that the Mac Book Pro has only one fire wire jack?
Pro Tools says that they DO NOT recommend using USB 2 Hard Drives as recording drives.
If I plug my External HD into the back of the 1814 it is way too slow to use, plus, I don't know why, Pro Tools is telling me that my External HD is "not a valid audio volume". It is a MAC OS Extended (Journaled) external Firewire HD (G-TECH G-DRIVE)
    Stuck...

You could consider getting a firewire hub or get an expresscard 34 adapter with a firewire port.
I personally use a Belkin Expresscard adapter that gives me an extra firewire port as well as two extra USB 2.0 ports.
    Good luck.

    Pancenter,
Thanks for the response, but I do not have a midi interface. I am using a midi to usb connector cable, thus bypassing the need for a Midi interface.
The Mac reads the USB cable as a midi device, but not the keyboard that I am trying to use as a controller. I have tried it with my korg sp 300 and with my Nord Electro 2.
    Thoughts?
    Thanks,

    Tristan...
This is what you have, correct?
    http://www.alesis.com/usbmidicable
    This from Alesis..
"The AudioLink Series USB cable receives and outputs MIDI signal thanks to its internal interface. The USB-MIDI Cable connects plug-and-play to your Mac or PC for an all-in-one USB-MIDI solution."
Notice, -internal interface-. What you have is a simple USB MIDI Interface. Most MIDI interfaces are USB.
My point is (was), MIDI OUT of the Korg goes to the connector marked MIDI IN on the Alesis, those new to MIDI often get this wrong.

  • What interface and monitors are you using?

I need to buy a new interface and monitors. I'm interested in the Native Inst. Audio Kontrol 1, the Line 6 Toneport UX2, and the Emu 0404 USB 2.0. I'll probably go with the Blue Sky Media Desk monitors.

    hey there NIKKO,
i use a MOTU 828 MKII w/ a MOTU MIDI Timepiece AV & Alesis M1 MK2 Active monitors. it's not all about the hardware/software.... check out Auralex & Auralex University. a great site w/ info on room accoustics & how they can afffect your recordings & mixes. see this link -http://www.auralex.com/
it's about making music & having a good time doing it. & it is a good time on a Mac!!! good luck w/ whatever you get.

  • I cannot use FCP X because as soon as I launch it it stops responding. I can see the interface and a continuous beach ball.

I cannot use FCP X because as soon as I launch it it stops responding. I can see the interface and a continuous beach ball. Its been more than 3 months now since I have been using FCP X and it has never done this before. The problem is that I have some projects to finish and I do not know what to do. How can I solve this problem?

As mishmumken said, you can try deleting your preference files . . .
If that fails, you probably have corrupt or incompatible media somewhere. Use finder to create new (temporary) folders and move your projects and events there before launching the application so that the events and projects are not found.
If FCP X loads OK, bring back the events one by one, relaunching FCP X each time, to try to isolate the offending material.

  • What tools does Microsoft use to mock UI interfaces, flowchart, use cases, and UML diagrams?

I have searched google, but was not able to find article or blogs to answer this question. The questions asked here are very old. So I think this is a very relevant question today.
We are a .NET group and we to update how we storyboard our application development. What tools does Microsoft use to mock UI interfaces, flowcharts, and use cases? Specifically for projects that are either C# .NET MVC 5 and above (looking forward to
    vNext).
In the past, power point was able to do some of these things, but it seems it has been deprecated? Does Visio use these things? Also, is Visual Studio's 2013 UML diagram any good or is there another tool in Microsoft's bag of goodies that has more options?
I have read about blend, but it does not seem to be .NET MVC specific.
Again, this is asking about what tools Microsoft teams usually use to storyboard as our team would like to mimic the more contemporary processes. We are in the process of upgrading our .NET applications and feel it is time to update our workflow process
    as well.
Any book recommendations on TFS 2013 and agile are welcomed as well.

  • When to use interface and when Abstract Class?

In a recent interview I was asked "When to use interface and when Abstract Class?" Explain with an example.
Also in what situations a class should be made final(real time example)

Interface is a pure contract with no implementation. Typically used to define a communication contract between two different sub-systems. Example EJB home interface. This also allows the design to change as long as the contract is met.
Abstract class is when there exists a lot of common functionality already known and can be coded. However, a few unknowns exists (typically about data) for which abstract methods need to be defined and implemented by the sub class.
Example: Consider a workflow engine. A great example for abstract class. The workflow process has lot of common code that is independent of the workflow type (vendor flow, contract flow, payment flow etc). However, certain decisions on the route to take will depend on value of data being submitted. So the base class will define a abstract Data getData() method and proceed assuming data will come. The implementing subclass will provide the actual logic for getting the data.
Also see the "Template" design pattern.
Note: To some extent the common code design drives the behavior of the abstract methods. So if the design changes then so "might" the behavior expected from the abstract methods.
