WM- WM stock (quality) to not activated storage loc-Transfer Posting issue

hi friends
I Have a error during transfer posting (321 mov type). After quality inspection the stock is rejected . so i have to move to WM not
activated Storage location. After transfer posting, TR is generated From material document. then iam trying to create to transfer order , but i have the error
System cannot find source storage bin
Message no. L3 008
Diagnosis
The system was not able to determine a source storage bin for this material.
This problem can be caused for several reasons:
1. The material no longer exists in your warehouse.
2. The material is in your warehouse, but currently cannot be reached by the system (for example, the material is just being transferred by one of the conveyor machines).
3. The material is in your warehouse, but not in the storage type and storage areas that are defined in your system for the material search.
Procedure
Check to see if the material really exists in your warehouse.
If the reason for the error is the third one mentioned above, contact your system administrator
Our bussiness is
lXRM storage location is WM activated
lXA storage location is not WM activated
1. create PO
2.GRN- Quality Inspection
3 If ok Means Stock is move to lXRM
If not ok Means Stock is move to lXA.
my queries is i want to move quality stock (WM) to not activated storage location.

we have not quality module, once do the Migo the manually the assign quality inspection(STOCK TYPE). After quality inspection
done, Then do the 321 mov type user should decide some good quantity move to unrestricted stock LXRM (Storage
location) ,some bad quantity move to the scrap storage location (lXA) .
*STORAGE LOCATION LXA is not activated WM
My request is, i want to move to the Scrap location (LXA). after 321 movement type done, TR is generated then i am trying to do the transfer order . system is not accepted , iam getting error

Stock in Quality can not be cleared throgh Transfer posting.

Dear All,
i am facing one problem, i,e i deactivated the all inspection types in the material master and QM proc. key and control key are in active position.
by default whenever i do MIGO. system is proposing Quality inspection stock. Same think happened to many GRN's.
Now all theses GRN stock are there in the Quality stock. I tried to clear this stock through the Mov. 321 in the MB1B T code. system is not allowing to post the Doc.
Please suggest.

Hello Pravin,
Once you have the inspection type activated for the material. Then you prepare the PO, it will pick the stock type as Quality inspection. Then you deactivate the insp. type in MM will not change the stock type in PO. Hence will post the stock in QI during MIGO as guided by PO.
So as clear solution you should change the stock type manually as Unrestricted use during MIGO, hence you have already deactivated the insp type and wish to not have the lot.
But as you have written the thread i guess you have already posted the MIGOs and they have posted the stock in QI without generating the Lot, correct?
So to resolve it you are attempting the MB1B but, it's not working, correct? Because for movement type 322 MB1B or any other transaction (accept the QM trx e.g. QA11) is not allowed.
To make it allowed, go to trx OMJJ and change do the add MB1B in allowed trx list.
But make sure this must be temp change and rectify it as it is after you complete your requirement, because this solution is 100% violence of STD SAP.
The correct methodology is to cancel all the wrongly posted GRs, and re-post them.

Storage loc to Storage loc transfer thru STO

I have seen something for storage location to storage location transfer through STO in IMG but not getting how to use that.Anybody have any idea about this how to use or work?

The tag for activate STO for storage locaton to storage location in MM is for using a Storage location as the supplier ,as of in standard SAP we use Plant as supplier for STO's not storage location's directly in the vendor field at the time of STO.
its already mentioned in notes you can check that also. and main thing this is not active in Standard system as it may cause some undefined problems in systems.
Better go ahead with the Standard process.

QI lot during Storage loc transfer

Dear all,
We are facing one problem. We want to activate quality inspection while transfering material from one storage location to other. In receing storage location the material should go to QI stock. Usage decision needs to be taken in receiving storage location.

I am not able to process Transfer posting Quality to Quality within plant with mov type 323 through MIGO transaction.
Error : Change the inspection stock of material 936317 in QM only.(Change the inspection stock of material 936317 in QM only

Diagnosis
You want to make a stock posting to/from the inspection stock. This is not allowed for material 936317 because the quality inspection control has been activated by QM.
The following cases can occur:
The inspection stock should be increased, although an inspection is not foreseen for the current goods movement
The inspection stock should be released, although you can only do this using the QM transactions.
System response
You cannot carry out the stock posting.
Procedure
Check both the QM inspection setup data and the movement type for material 936317 in the quality management view of the material master.
Exception:
If you post a return delivery to a vendor with reference to a purchase order, or cancel a goods receipt, the stock indicator from the order is proposed.
Check and modify this proposal as required.
The stock may have been transferred already and is therefore no longer in inspection stock.
Kindly help me to resolve the issue.

Clear the lot to unrestricted lot
try now you will be able to do Transfer posting Quality to Quality within plant ..mov type 323

Transfer posting of subcontracting stock with mvt type 541 from project stk

we run project MRP and the requirement is raised for subcontracting item also ,after converting the PR into PO when I try to transfer post material in MB1B using 541 ,system shows Error Purchase order does not contain any item even I have material in my project stock,what may be the reason?

Hello Kantha,
The components which you provide for a vendor are manged in a vendor-related special stock, O. This stock is updated at plant level, becuase material is actually not in your plant. If you want to provide stock to vendor the avialble stock types in subcontracting are from un restricted use and in quality inspection.
When you provide componets to vendor via transfer posting this needs to go from only unrestricted use stock to the stock of material provide to vendor movement type is 541.
So to execute the transfer posting for the stock of material provided to the vendor, you have to specify special indicator O, if not the transfer posting will not differ from normal transfer posting.
Also T-code MBLB will help you in evaluating the stock of material provided. So you need to transfer the stock from project stock to unrestricted stock to carry out the transfer.

Subcontracting for Sales Order Stock and collective Transfer Posting

Dear Expert,
We have a scenario in subcontracting wherein the sales order the customer also wants to see the components and as such along with the Header item of subcontracting ,we also mention the components as another line item in the sane Sales Order.
Now from the sale sorder two Po's are created onr for the subcontractor and one for the compnens to be procured.
Since the components are procured on sales order stock there is noway we can issue it to the Vendor stock through Movt .Type 541.
As per SAP AG WE CAN:
"ubcontracting is also possible in conjunction with sales order stocks and project stocks. The subcontracting orders are account-assigned to a sales order or a WBS element. Thus, the components are not transferred (using a transfer posting) to the u201Cstock of material provided to vendoru201D but are directly withdrawn from the sales order stock or the project stock at the time of the goods receipt. The material manufactured is also posted to the sales order stock or to the project stock. The cost of subcontracting is then debited to the sales order or WBS element.Since the components are not transferred to the u201Cstock of material provided to vendoru201D, we recommend that you use a transfer posting to transfer the provided components to a new storage location (for example, 9999). This enables you to obtain an overview of those stocks that are physically located at the subcontractor.This information is particularly important when you carry out a physical inventory of the sales order stocks and project stocks."
But my query is that how many such storage locations will be created for the subcontracting vendors.
Secondly for the stock transfer from sales to storage location , we have lots of sales order, is dera way through which we can do bulk transfer rathar than clicking at new item everytime and then doing the transfer posting.

This is a known issue, the system doesnt allow stock to have two special stock statuses at the same time.
Your concern of having to make multiple storage locations is valid (since this is a configuration).
I suggest you do the following
- Configure a warehouse and a single storage type (say 001). Allow mixing of materials in a single bin
- Assign this warehouse to a new storage location.
- Create a bin for every sales order number in the warehouse.
- When goods are moved to subcontractor, perform a transfer posting to the storage location, and perform a putaway to the respective bin. The putaway strategy can be tweaked using a user exit to go to the relevant bin. This way you do not have to enter the WM transaction for putaway.
- To consume the stocks, you can use 231E movement (MB1A). On the WM side, the picking strategy can be enhanced so that the picking TO is generated with the correct source bin. Make sure the GL account and CO objects are as per FICO requirements.
This way you can track the stocks binwise (bin level reports are available in WM), perform physical inventory and also consume the stocks from the relevant bin automatically.
We had faced the same situation, and we ended up not having sales order stock at all.

I am doing GR for PO in WM. During TO creation I am getting this error Addition to stock of material A in storage type 002 is not allowed. Hence no storage bins can be entered. May I know under what scenarios this type error props up?

Transfer posting to block stock through quality notification

Dear QM Experts,
I am trying to post the material from unrestricted use to block stock through quality notification type Q2. Following are the details.
1.     Material is batch managed
2.     Storage location is managed by warehouse management and has storage bin.
3.     Material has split valuation
When I click on link transfer post unrestrictedblock system asks to put storage type and storage bin. Here I enter the appropriate details. When I press enter system throws error message as Enter valuation type as the material has split valuation active. Surprisingly I do not find the option to put this valuation type in Q2 notification screen.
On the contrary when I try to do 344 movment manually through MB1B system gives pop up to select appropriate valuation type.
Requirement is movement 344 should happen through quality notification considering above constraints. How the valuation type to be entered in Q2 notification?
I would be grateful, if someone can throw some light on this.

Which valuation category do you use in material master accounting view?
In my experience..
Normally a company use the batch management for split valuation and a valuation type should be input automatically by transaction in batch master.
Therefore when you input a material, plant, batch in notification screen, a valuation type would be selected in background by system.
Anyway try below..
At transaction MSC2N you input a valuation type into batch master then try to transafer posting through notification.
I'm not sure why your batch master does not have a valuation type.

Message LP327 WM Not active for plant

Dear All,
We have just upgraded our SAP system from 4.7 to ECC6.0, While doing a repetitive manufacturing backflush a warning has appeared (LP327 WM Not active for plant), the statement in the warning is correct, the plant is not active for WM, I was wondering if this particular warning could switched off.

The message is triggering from std SAP program RLLT0R00 and is defaulted to Error message.We cannot change that to warning message in that program.Pls try to search suitable OSS notes for the same.It looks like Extent WM is active for your plant so the message is issued.

Key that controls the use or the degree of activation of Warehouse Management for a storage location. The key controls whether bin stock is to be managed in the MM-WM component.
The field can have the following settings:
blank = normal management of stock in bins. The full range of functions provided by the MM-WM component is available.
1 = Lean WM for inbound or outbound deliveries. The delivery or pick is executed using transfer orders (from MM-WM). These transfer orders, however, do NOT update bin stock in Warehouse Management.
2 = For this storage location, you can use normal SD picking in combination with doors and staging areas. In this context, no Warehouse Management functions are activated.
3 = Lean WM for outbound deliveries. Picking occurs using transfer orders (from LE-WM). However, these transfer orders do NOT update bin stock in Warehouse Management.
4 = Lean WM for inbound deliveries. Putaway occurs using transfer orders (from LE-WM). These transfer orders do NOT, however, update bin stock in Warehouse Management

Available stock shortfall of & in Interim storage bin message in BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE

Searching on the forum you can find threads about WM/PP interface settings.

Whether WM/PP interface is active it depends on your config and master data as well.
You should check:
- config: SPRO > LE > WM > Interfaces > Define Production
- master data: routing (proper work center is assigned), work center (proper production supply area), material master(FG) (production scheduling profile), control cycle (components)
In standard system storage type 100 is defined as an interim storage type (you can compare it to storage type 902, 914, 916, etc). In control cycles (WM master data; LPK1/LPK2/LPK3) you define for each components which is the production storage type.
In standard system storage type 914 is not used with material staging. 914 s.t. related scenario: GI (261) --> stock removel from normal storage type to interim storage type (914).
100 s.t. related scenario: stock removal from normal s.t. to interim s.t. 100 --> GI (261).

Customer returns to quality check storage loc............

suppose some customer X has returned some 100 goods from 1000 he purchased and then these goods has to be transferred to different storage location because there quality check happens and after 72 hours or so then the tested goods will be transferred to goods for un restricted use and
how to do this configuration in SAP r/3.

If your requirement is something like this :
Goods coming in - After GR is put - Goods should be posted to Quality Inspection not to Unrestricted Use.
If its so,
Goto Material Master
Goto Quality Management Tab Page
Activate the "Post to insp. Stock"
Your requirement should be fulfilled.

Stock value is not getting updated in APO system From ECC automatically

Stock value is not getting updated in APO system From ECC automatically but if we do it manually from transaction CFM2 it will get updated.
for this we are using EXIT_SAPLCSTK_001.
I am using VL10A for delivery and VL06G for PGI
I have also checked integration model for material and stock.
Please help me out as it is very urgent.

for transferring the stock data from R/3 to APO automatically, you need to have the integration model for material and stock activated.
please check the same.
if this does not help, let me know in detail the steps which you are following..
