WMA 9 PRO not supported by ZEN Mic

am I right that WMA 9 PRO files are not supported by ZEN Micro? If so:
- What is the best WMA quality that _is_ supported?
- are there any plans to improve support for high quality WMA?

I'm not great on how existing formats translate to bit-rates, but I thought there was no benefit in going higher than 320 kbit/s, at least from a CD format as the origin. But as I'm not sure, I could be wrong...
Creative ought to make the limitations in terms of formats and sampling rates very clear on their specifications pages.

As Tom said the FCS forum is the better place to post the question.
Here is Apple's best practices doc for installing both on the same system.
BTW, FCP7 is part of the FCS 3 suite of apps.

  • Logic Pro "not supported on this architecture"!!!

    Hello All,
I have been using Logic for a couple of years and in the last few months I upgraded from Logic Pro 7 to Logic Studio. It worked fine but.... I have just switched to a new iMac and installed the upgrade (with dongle from Pro 7) but after hours of installation Logic won't run reporting that it I can't open the application because it 'is not supported on this architecture'. Strangely Mainstage and Soundtrack Pro seem quite happy to open. Is this just a case of re-registering (in which case how do i unregister my old mac?) or is something else amiss.
Any help would be much appreciated. I am desperate to get up and running again.
    Many Thanks
    Nick

Do you know what you did to cause the problem?
I ask because my parents had a similar problem with both Mail and Address Book. I don't know what caused it, but I eventually had to reinstall those two apps with Pacifist.
My mother said she was deleting things that she thought she didn't need. My father thinks there was a short between the keyboard and chair. I tend to side with my father on this one.

  • .mov into Premiere Pro not supported

When I try to import, I get a notice that says the video (.mov) is not supported. Do I need a program for it to work?
    Thank you,
    Tracy

I just installed Quick Time and it plays fine.
I can get it into After Effects but this is a program that I've never worked with. It looks like it shows a small portion of the images on its monitor. Learning AE is on my list of priorities but I don't have the manual.
A friend across the country made an intro for my logo in AE and sent it over the internet. I just figured it's all compatible.
I've played it and seen it, I just can't do anything with it.
    Thanks,

  • Windows 2000 not supported by Zen Sleek installation softwar

I have Windows XP at home and MS 2000 at work. I was successful with the Zen Sleek installation software at home, but cannot get the sfotware to install on my work copmputer which is running Windows 2000. What's the deal? The requirements are listed as Windows 98/2000/ME/XP, but at the beginning of the installation, it stops with the message that the application will not run on this operating system.
And are there any other pitfalls to trying to run the Zen Sleek with two different operating systems? I was hoping to get my Zen Sleek to act as my MS Outlook calendar and contacts carrier when I want to travel light.

On your Windows XP computer if the Sleek is recognized as an MTP Device or you see the words MTP anywhere when it first got detected, or everytime when you connect it and a window appears with the words MTP on it, then this means that the Sleek will ONLY work on Windows XP. The software might say that it will work with 2000/98/Me, but it comes down to if the Sleek will work with those OS's.
So if you see the words MTP anywhere, then it wont work with anything but Windows XP.

  • On/Off Not Working on Zen Mic

    Hi out there,
I bought a Zen Micro about two weeks ago. I did my first recharge on it yesterday, and after the battery was fully recharged, now the on/off button isn't working. I can click it over to the power on/off position and hold it for ten seconds or more, and nothing happens. It does turn on when I plug it in to recharge, and shuts off due to idle shutdown, but I just can't power it up or down in the usual way.
    Any suggestions?

Ohh, I'm having the same problem as you. Exactly same as your situation.
I'm soo worry! Cause yesterday my thumbdri've spoilt, so I use zen as thumbdri've, happily transfer those important data to my zen. In the afternon time, i still can power on/off as usal and save my data. But then later on, there's something wrong with the on/off button! So sad, now i can't store my data and i need a data storage to store all my projects and my projects submission is due very soon.
To power on my zen, I have to charge the zen or connect the zen to the usb cable.
To power off my zen, have to remove the batt!
I tried the rescue mode, but it didn't work.
Then I upgrade my firmware as told by the technical, the lastest version release on st July.
Thought that it would help, but it is just a waste of effort! I have to backup my zen - all my music and data! wasting my time in transfering data to and from my zen to my computer. Then have to d/l and upgrade the zen.
I'm so disappointed with my zen! Since I bought my zen from the IT show this march (3/03/2005), it has been giving me alot of problem!
. At first, i bought the zen, the touchpad was NOT sensiti've and I didn't know it till I went home and charge my zen.
Then the very very next day, I have to go all the way to Jurong to change my player! Got back a new replacement immediately. (5/03/2005)
    2. After I got a new replacement, happily went home, just test the touchpad sensitivity and it works perfectly! But never did i realise that the back cover was very loose, any slight push would be able to remove the back cover. Wanted to go back and change but due to project and exam piling up and I thought the cover was just a small matter so I only went to change it on 6/05/2005 when I finish my exam. The customer service representati've comment that my back cover was very loose and he give me a new replacement immediately. Pray and hope that there will be no more preoblems with my zen but now, it has a big problem. ON/OFF BUTTON! Why i so unlucky?
So if i went down to repair again, it gonna be the third time!! how sickening is it's? Why so many problems?
Within less than half a year, my zen got so many problem! **bleep** sad!!!

I am unable to reinstall Photoshop CS6 (I do have the serial number) on my Macbook Pro 10.9.5 (Mavericks os). and am getting the message "Installation on case-sensitive volumes is not supported.  Please choose a different volume for installation."  I am further told that "Adobe apps cannot be installed on case-sensitive drives, you need to Install the product onto an HFS+ or HFSJ non-case-sensitive drive."
What I don't understand is this:  I originally bought and installed Photoshop CS6 back in March 2013, and it worked fine.  Yesterday my hard drive had to be replaced and my computer person salvaged as much of what was on it as he could, but now I have to reinstall Photoshop.  1) Why did it work before and it's not working now?  2) Is there anything I can do that does not involve reformatting the hard drive?

It means what it says. The "computer person" formatted it wrongly/ unsuitably. it needs to be formatted again.

  • Mid 2010 Macbook Pro to a Samsung Tv. (Mode not supported)

Hi, I have a macbook pro mid 2010, when connected to an external tv, i get the mirroring option, however when i uncheck the mirroring option (cause i need 2 desktops screen instead of one), my external monitor shows " Mode not supported ". I have a samsung LCD TV. It works perfectly with mirroring option, but I don't want a mirroring option..... Can anyone help?

    I have a MacBook Pro 15 inch early 2011.
The new features available in OS X Yosemite like Continuity, Handoff, etc are not supported in this model.
I did upgrade RAM to avoid any possible slowdown.
I found replacing the HD with SSD is  too expensive for  a 4 years old model.
Replacing the CPU/GPU is not for amateurs.
If you think that rebuilding a Mac part by part is a viable option, please go ahead and rebuild it.
    Best.

Run MDP to HDMI for picture. Use a cable like this to run sound from your audio out on your Mac to your TV's audio in.  That's about all  you can do.

  • Mac Pro to Samsung HDTV - "Mode not supported"???

Alright, so I have just received my new Mac Pro in the mail yesterday and wanted to hook it up to my television - a 1080p Samsung (Samsung LN-T4671F) HDTV. I am using a DVI-to-VGA cable. I feel I should probably explain the entire situation so that it's all clear.
The first time I started the computer after plugging it into the TV, the Apple logo with the Loading, spinning thing (not the multicolored wheel) showed in beautiful 1920x1080. After loading, the screen jumped to a lower resolution for a second and then went black, finally giving me a "Mode not supported" error. Thinking it was just a little hiccup, I restarted the computer and after the Apple logo screen, it showed me a screen on how to put batteries in my mouse (or something along those lines, I didn't really look), and then it had me set up my wireless keyboard. After this, it showed me the WELCOME video and allowed me to log on to my computer and start using it.
After about 15 minutes, I was going through the system prefs and came across display. Thinking maybe I should lower the resolution to better see text, I clicked on a lower resolution around 1600xsomething. The screen went black and gave me the "Mode not supported" error again. I thought I could just wait a few seconds and if I didn't confirm the resolution, it would go back...but it never did. After trying to restart my computer a number of times and receiving the error message each time, I booted in Safe Mode, which I am in right now.
I went into the sys prefs and made sure the resolution was set to 1920x1080, which it already was, and restarted the computer. Error again. I went into the settings of my TV and went to PC and had it auto correct the resolution to the input. Error again. I have been running in Safe Boot since - no sound is annoying - and enjoying the display in full 1920x1080 (1080p)...so the set obviously supports it (and the manual says it does too).
My video card is an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT. What's most annoying is that it's pretty obvious that the display supports this resolution and yet won't allow it to work outside of Safe Boot mode.
    Please help

Had the same problem with an AOC 1080p TV, trying to connect to it using VGA cable.
Ivan's earlier post clued me in to solution:
    - Plug in the TV, get the "Mode not supported" message on the TV
    - Open the Display Preferences, you should see the display preferences for the laptop "Color LCD" monitor. Click the "Gather Displays" button - this should bring the display preferences for the TV behind the laptop preferences window. Switch to the TV's display preferences window.
    - In the TV's display preferences window, switch refresh rate down to 59.9 Hertz (your TV may need different refresh rate, but on mine I only get options for 59.9 or 60).
    That did it for me!

  • "Mode not supported" when connecting MacBook Pro to HDTV

When I connect my MacBook Pro to the SAMSUNG widescreen HDTV and hit "Detect Displays", it does detect it as VGA Display and it gives me a bunch of options for resolutions and refresh rates, but there was no "Options" tab where I could check or uncheck "Overscan" and even keeping the refresh rate at 60 Hz, and even trying mirrored and non-mirrored screens, nothing worked. It still said "Mode not supported". I used a dual-link DVI to YPbPr cable which I just bought and my friend can connect his MacBook Pro to his HDTV with the same cable, but it doesn't seem to work for me. What's wrong?

Try using an app like to get the stranince resolution:

All of my files are stored in a separate hard drive with only the actual app having been on my Macbook. Should I just reinstall?

    Hi
To run Mouitain Lion you need to update Logic.
For the updaters to work the Logic application must be:
    a) Within the Applications folder, and not in any sub-folder
    b) Named "Logic Pro" with no extra numbers or spaces

  • Just downloaded mavericks, now iPhoto won't load because of an error message that says "You can't open the application "IPhoto" because it is not supported on this type of Mac" . I have a 17" MacBook Pro, mid 2010 model running 2.53 GHz and Intel Core I5,

I just downloaded the new Mavericks operating sytem on my mid 2010 MacBook Pro, 17" 2.53GHz, Intel Core I5 machine. My IPhoto is no longer working at all, I'm getting an error message that says - "You Can't open the application "IPhoto" because it is not supported on this type of Mac". I also loaded Mavericks onto my other MacBook Pro 17", mid 2009 model and everything works fine. I would think that the newer Mac would easily work with IPhoto. Also, when I try to download from the App Store, it asks for my Apple ID and Password, I enter it, and then the little spinning color wheel just spins forever, with nothing ever happening. I tried downloading the IPhoto Upgrade but it never actually downloads, HELP!!!

What version of iPhoto do you have installed?  Is if one of the versions shown as not compatible in this screenshot?
If it is then go to the App Store and download iPhoto 9.5.  It will be free if you have an iPhoto 9 or later verson currently.
