WMI - not showing Operating System

Hi All
out 4700 systems I have one system that reports a blank space when I query WMI for the operating system
Select * from Win32_OperatingSystem
when I run this query is get only the following results - there no version information or anything else from that class
Win32_OperatingSystem=@
this is a Windows 7 System with SP1 installed
any ideas why this could happen and how to fix quickly

Your script fails to detect the WMI service or the WMI component, I would first suggest to restart the WMI service:
Open the command Window line as an administrator and type “net start winmgmt”, hit enter.
Besides try the component below to fix the WMI problem:

here in my (sm21)system log files i find more no of logs for dispatcher and it indicates operating system call recv failed(error no.73)

The specified operating system call was returned with an error.
For communication calls (receive, send, etc) often the cause of errors are network problems.
It could also be a configuration problem at operating system level. (file cannot be opened, no space in the file system etc.).

Yes, you are right, these kind of problems (OS Error 73) are usually caused by network issues. Error 73 means 'connection reset by peer'. In most cases, this is because the connection was interupted by the communication partner or an active network component between.
I provide you some recommendations:
- Check your Network environment. You can use NIPING tool to diagnose it (note 500235), check your MTU stability.
- Check note 27320 - keep alive and gui_auto_logout profile param
- Also you can implement note 1002075 for a possible solution

You can tell what version of iOS you have via Settings > General > About > Version
If you are in Iraq then unfortunately you can't currently get any content, including apps, from Apple (and Apple is the only source for apps) as there isn't currently an iTunes store in your country. If/when that is likely to change I don't know.

Safari 6.0.1 not showing in System Report (installations)

I have noticed that Safari 6.0.1 is not showing in System Report (installations) only the previous Safari 5.1.7 - Anyone know why this should be so? Now in Mountain Lion we do not have the update info in Software Update as before; only by going to "About this Mac". Any help appreciated!

Cannot create new Data Source - Oracle ODBC does not show in System DSN

On Windows 7 x64, Installed Oracle 10g to use ODBC to connect to Oracle database but am not able to create new data source as Oracle ODBC does not show in System DSN.... only shows SQL server etc etc...

Netbook can not find operating system

I have a netbook that no does not see the operating system at startup ( thinkpad i think) it just boots to a black screen after the Lenovos screen load in, Pressing f12 brings you to the boot menu and if you click on the drive it shows the hdd and lan drives loading up from there it just boots with a message " no operating system found" . If i go to the quick start menu and look in the Photos section the files folders are still there under my computer including the disk drives ( labeled as disk 1 and not c: ) and all the program files including the windows folder. I can not boot into safe mode or system recovery not sure what the system recovery steps are on the netbook but tried loading /pressing all the f buttons on the loading screen only things work is F12 for boot menu f2 for setup screen and esc shows bios i think. since it is a net book there are no recovery disk or disk drive. This seems to have happened after possably malware got on the computer. The person using it at the time said a seemly fake antivirus popup came on screen and said system was not protected and contiuned to load when they tried to restart thats when the problem happened.

AirPort does not show under System Preferences Network Show

I am having problems with my AirPort Express. It is listed in AirPort Admin Utility (with an IP Address), but does not show up under System Preferences > Network > Show.

In System under "Network" it shows "AirPort Card" with "No information found"
Your Mac does not have a wireless card installed or it is not working.
However, I would like to set up a shared printer and instructions I have for this say that I need to get the IP address of AirPort under System Preferences > Network > Show > AirPort.
That information should have nothing to do with a printer since the information there relates to your Mac... not to the AirPort Express (AX).

Effects are not showing in system

In our system all the Budget related notes is there : 1361644, 1315776, 1359327, 1359268, 1369775, 1371380, 1372734.
Also I done all the changes in Tables: V_T7INI7, V_T7INI9, T596F, V_T7INT1, V_T7INT3
But effects are not showing.
Please tell me, after doing all these things, i have to maintain New TAX CODES related to that. After maintained that Tax Code, i will be able to see required changes (after define new tax codes).

Are the PDF files showing with the PDF icon or other icons in your local disk?
Please start Outlook in sate mode and test again. To do this, press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type
outlook /safe and press Enter.
In addition, you may also try to clean out the Temporary Outlook Files folder to check the result. See:

BlackBerry Z10 -- note re operating system and hint for an improvement perhaps

I am not sure this is me or the Z10 operating system [latest update]. I really like the device, by the way, and recommend it highly. I am a new user, and a bit of a klutz, and I have noticed when I log on to our household wireless with the BlackBerry Z10 I have to give the Cisco Router a password which we have for a guest on our household wireless network. I do that, and then I press "log in"....
Somewhere in this sequence I get the message on the BlackBerry Z10 "Do you want to log in to the hotspot?" or some such thing and I affirm I do, then the Cisco message comes up from our system... I think that's the sequence, and I fill in the password and press log in. Then if I am watching it properly, it takes a little moment or two, I get briefly the message "you are logged into the internet" or something like that, I forget the exact words. I got confused for the longest while whether I was logged in or not, because the BlackBerry browser indicates the Cisco page to log in with the password when I am already logged in, and the annoying thing is that I am not sure I really am in or not and I forget to go to the browser and fill in the web URL I want, like yahoo.ca... I wish the programmers at BlackBerry would put a line on there like "you are logged in, enter your website name on the browser search line" or something -- the trouble stems from the fact I have removed my browsing history and the only site up is the Cisco log-in page when I am already logged in -- could this be fixed with a style reno on the browser, to indicate I am logged in, and that I should enter the website I want to see... other uses may do this differently, I don't know, it's probably just me... I don't have time to fiddle with the device a lot, I mainly use it for a cellphone, so am not "at it" all the time.
PS: the use of the term "hotspot" is confusing too, because somewhere I read that if you don't want to connect to one of those little wireless radiating gadgets called a "hotspot" you set that setting to No, and then connect to the wireless network in your area you wish to connect to... but that's called by you a "hotspot" too, and I find that confusing... maybe hotspot should be as a term confined to the other gadget, and "wireless network" used for wireless network... or am I wrong...

After dropping this table from APPS schema 'Re-create grants and synonyms for APPS schema' went thru fine.Its correct
This table does not exist in INV schema in 11.5.10.2.
Could be possible that the consultant could have created this table in INV and APPS schema by mistake or whatever.Yes, with the same name, there might be table in APPS SCHEMA. When you run recreate grants and synonyms, adadmin tries to create synonym for that table in APPS schema. since there is object available with the same name in apps chema, you got that error.

Powermac(s) G5 will not install operating system(s).

I have read many posts, but no posts resolve this issue. With wiped or new hard drives, the operating system install dvd disk fails to install and hangs with a last line panic message repeatably mentioned by others and now me "We are hanging here..."
I have a quad core G5 with a wiped and new hard drive. When using a powermac G5 install of the manufactured time of the machine, the install hangs. The install is 10.4. What was on the hard drive before it was wiped was 10.5. I have tried several different disks all with same result. I have done all the obvious and previously failed thing: pulled the battery, reset PRAM, tried different hard drives, other dvd drives, etc. I read that Apple claims to many that the logic board or processors are bad and to throw out the units.
+*Here is the twist.*+ I have four of these units. Prior to wiping they hard drives, they all were in perfect working order. I have 16 more that have not had the hard drives wiped, and all behave exactly the same way when I try to install the operating system while booting off the DVD install disk. If I launch the install disk from the systems when the systems are happily running, they too fail with exactly the same message. I therefore doubt that hardware is at fault and that they all suddenly have bad logic boards, then good, then bad. Or that they are all breaking at the same time when every single one of them were working fine everyday.
I want to get the ones with the wiped drives up and running again. I don't want to put the systems from the unwiped ones on the wiped ones.
Interesting isn't it? Very I think. How much good hardware has been wasted by this issue?
Any ideas? Please, put on your thinking caps.

KDE 4.8.0 upgrade - application icons not showing in system tray

I updated to KDE 4.8.0 through pacman yesterday, and I noticed that system tray is not working as it should. Icons for some applications do not show, while other work OK.
For example, Akregator icon appers in tray, while icons for Skype, AppSet or the Java application I'm developing do not. I notced that notification ballons for these apps pop up at upper left corner, instead of lower right.
Anybody got some idea what might be wrong? Maybe QT version issues?
One more question: how can I bring up these application windows when they do not show in tray?

MAX does not show Remote System tab in tree

Hi dear all,
i have installed LabView 2010 and along that MAX 4.7.7 on my Laptop Visat OS. Problem that i am facing is that my MAX tree "Remote System" Tab is not visible. Only My System tab is visible and its showing all installed software and devices correctly.
1. What settings i need to check to get this tab shown in tree?
2. Do i need to install some other software or patches or re-install what softwares?
3. Why is it happening to me?

Hello Awais,
There are a few places that indicate the Real-Time Module has been succesfully installed. I am attaching screenshots of the following locations that indicate that this is the case:
-'Remote Systems' under Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)
-NI License Manager
-LabVIEW splash screen
If the Real-Time module/option appears in the locations listed above, there should be no reason for you to have to uninstall or re-install your software. If there are other indicators such as error messages or the module does not appear in these locations, please attach screenshots and a detailed description. We can then discuss if uninstalling or reinstalling the software is the next best option.

SATA DRIVES NOT SHOWING IN SYSTEM PROFILER

I found out that my SATA drives do not appear in my System Profiler.
I am running OS 10.4.7 on a PowerMAC G4 Dual Gig 2002 Quicksilver with
3 hard drives:
- TWO 250 GB SATA Drives (Both partitioned into 3 sections: 132 GB which is my MAIN drive, 90 GB which is used to back up music, and 53 GB which is used to hold finished work. you could try reseting your PRAM to see if that makes any difference, as this holds your systems parameters. You shouldn't hurt your Mac by resetting them.
To reset PRAM hold down AppleAlt+PR on startup until it chimes 3 to 5 times then release.
Also...
Let the Mac boot after a PRAM reset then restart to reset your Open Firmware which may also help. At Startup hold AppleAlt+OF then type at the light grey screen (all without speech marks) "reset-nvram" then press return key. Then type "rest-all" then press return key again. Then type "mac-boot" press return to exit.
These command may help you they may not, but they shouldn't hinder you in any way. But if you are in any doubt about these commands by all means research them further on the Apple website or just ask for a second opinion.

Edge 420 does not load operating system (Windows 7)

My edge 420 suddenly stopped working yesterday. When I turn it on, it shows me option if I want to restore or use the normal set up, and neither of the options owrk, it just freezes no matter what key I press, F11 for recovery or Esq for normal set up. It just shows the 'loading files' message for a second and then a blank screen forever, nothing happens in the meantime. I tried restarting again and again and I feel that the situation may get worse. I called the tech support, and they said they cannot sun it through with me as my warranty is over. I am not sure what to do or what the problem is now. It is only two years and I am facing this problem.

I have the same model, and I might be able to help. Yesterday, you shut the system down and were not able to boot it back on Windows? Or the system shut down randomly by itself?
I believe your files are safe, although I can't confirm it yet. A picture of the options screen you see would be helpful.
Do you have access to a Windows 7 installation CD?
EDIT: If you do see a screen with infos saying "Windows failed to start" or any similar screen, that might mean that the bootloader is corrupted, but the hard-drive possibly is not damaged. I can't confirm it yet, I need more information, and actually wonder how the problem occurred randomly in first place.
