Error in calling a custom page in Oracle MSCA Mobile Web Application

A custom page which is extended from a standard MWA page needs to be called. While doing this, the following error shows up.
"Parent page type 4 is unacceptable in pageEntered handler of MenuPageBean!" in the $INST_TOP/logs/*system.log file.

MSCA and MWA Mobile Applications Customization

I am trying to add new business logic on CycleCountPage in MWA (Whse Mgmt Responsibility).
I copied some .class files from the server and de-compile all of them and save the new files with CustomFileName.java
Then change the classes’ code to meet the new file names and add my new logic in the following files
•     Function     CustomCycleCountFunction.java
•     Page          CustomCycleCountPage.java, CustomLotSerialPage.java
•     Field          CustomItemLOV.java
•     Listener      CustomCycleCountFListener.java
Then I successfully compiled the new classes on the server using javac and generate the new .class files in the same original file’s folders
And change the .class files attributes to 755.
Then I added a new function and add it to the menu to run the new function class
It appears in the menu but it gives me
Unexpected error o >
It seems that the application couldn’t read the new function class file
Please tell me where to copy the new classes and what are the needed steps to run the new function.

MSCA/ MWA Customization in R12

I was trying to extend the shipLPN page and created a custom menu to access the function and when I access it from mobile login I'm unable to retain the original pages functionality(super call to base class) instead it is in the infinite loop
"Change Responsibility --> "change org" --> "change Responsibility". Any Help appreciated.

How to check MWA session details in Oracle Apps R12

I am an Oracle Apps DBA. Current Issue is that sometimes users working with the RF Guns(Scanners) through telnet in MWA servers got hanged.
They ask to kill their sessions.
I do not know how to find the MWA loged in users sessions details. What I am able to find is , frm or web session details.
Could you please guide how to gather these MWA connection details, with database and server process and session details.

Oracle MSCA and WMS

Hello,
This is on r12.1.3
Is it mandatory to purchase Oracle WMS with MSCA? Can we leverage MSCA functionality for bar code scanning and labelling without having Oracle WMS?
Please advise.

Dear Pankaj,
Inventory is a separate License...you cannot officially use MSCA by default when you purchase inventory license.
MSCA license needs to be bought separately.
So basically there are 3 flavors:
1. Pure Inventory
2. Inventory + MSCA
3. Inventory + WMS (WMS includes MSCA license)
However we definitely cannot have WMS without MSCA.

Want to pick perticular serial / Lot number from MSCA

Want to pick perticular serial / Lot number from MSCA for WMS enable organization. The problem, which I am facing, from MSCA it is automatic taking the first serial number. And when, I am running pick release with Auto Allocate as No , the corresponding WMS task is not getting created.
Any help will be appreciated.

I have a similar problem. I am trying update the lot for an existing serial number and it doesnt work. If you set the lot for a NEW serial number then it does work. But if that serial number ever existed in OSRI it doesn't seem to work

MSCA VISION Release 12 - Unable to click on any function

hi,
I successfully installed Vision R12. I have been able to figure the MSCA Part as well. I am able to open the telnet session. But what is happening, is that when you click on any function. There is no response in the telnet session.
It is as if, the MSCA Architecture is available and change organization and change responsibility are the only two functions which seem to be working.
Any pointer on what to do would be helpful.
In the meantime, I will check to see what function is getting called underneath.

Is it possible to receive a PO from WMS inbound Logistics from Desktop

Will I be able to receive item without using MSCA?. The Scenario is like this. I want to purchase Fuel and store it in a particular Locator (Capacity 1000 Liters). There are 2 Locators with 1000 Liters capacity. When I receive fuel system should be smart enough to check and putaway only 1000 Liters in 1st Locator and once this is done the next time when I purchase the same Fuel then the system should check if there is enough capacity available in the 1st Locator and if not then the system should be able to automatically suggest me the 2nd Locator. Is this possible through "Inbound Receiving from WMS"?.
What I tried:
1. Create a "Putaway Rule with Destination Subinventory name.
2. 2nd sequence is the 1st Locator name.
3. 3rd sequence is the Locator Capacity <= 1000
But when I do Receipt and Receiving Transaction I am unable to find the Destination Subinventory default as per the "Putaway" setup. Kindly Help, its urgent.

There was a couple of dial-up fax modems that used ethernet connections. In fact there was a dial modem built into the old airport extreme models up to the N wireless ones.. but I am not sure if you could fax from it as well.. almost all dial up has faxing ability.. it is near to the same thing.
But that is going full circle in a way back to where you were with the Epson..
It is still worth it if you regularly and often fax documents. Find a full hardware based modem with 64bit software for faxing with >Lion OS..
It is not worth it if you do only occasional fax... where print outs and fax or using a fax service work better.

Question regarding 4subnets and identifying the Network ID - MSCA Exam

I have this question for my MSCA 2012 and i can't figure it out :
Subnet1 50hosts
Subnet2 110hosts
Subnet3 400hosts
Subnet4 525hosts
My answers :
10.10.1.0/26
10.10.16.0/25
10.10.128.0/23
10.10.8.0/22
Set the network ID next to the 4 subnets.
I don't understand how to start from this ... I mean /26 etc :(

What is the IP range for subnetting? According to your answers, it seems to be fine since on duplicated IP addresses in each subnet and the network masks are correct. As we all known, the number of host bits being used for subnetting determines the possible
number of subnets and hosts per subnet. Since you need 50(30<50<62) hosts in subnet1, you need 6 bits for host bits and the subnet mask is /26. Maybe you can refer to the link below to better understand subnetting:

Schedule line CT and WMS

hello, friends.
in a scenario without WMS, i split a sales order quantity into several schedule lines. in one schedule line, i specify the category as CT.
all items are delivered, including the item with sked line cat CT(movement type [blank]) in a separate delivery document. all deliveries were successfully picked, goods issue posted and collectively invoiced.
however, when i tried this approach in a make-to-order scenario with WMS, the delivery with sked line CT could not be picked (using LT03) or posted for goods issue. the error messages i got were:
VL608 Delivery has not been completely processed by WM.
VL609 Delivery has not been putaway/picked completely
i also got an error while determining reference movement type for WM via table T156S.
hope somebody can help solve this issue.

oooopppsss!!!! sorry, i was able to solve it.
what i did was delete the batch split item, and manually entered the picking quantity and batch in the same line as item 10 (the main item). goods issue can now be posted.

Need help in understanding Oracle WMS

Hi,
We are planning to implement Oracle WMS in our company. Currently we are using High Jump software for all our warehouses. Some of the warehouse functions as Cross Dock or some as Storage. Can some body give me some inputs for the following so that i can prepare a doc and present it to my upper management.
1. Some articles/training material which talks about complete functionalities in Oracle WMS( I would like to know more about Warehousing, Yard management and Customer Reporting)
2. Is there any document which talks about the advantages of Oracle WMS over HighJump WMS? (I did search in web for 2-3 days but couldn't find much info)
It would be really help if anybody help me to find outmore info on Oracle WMS.
