.wmvs from QT Pro - why is there a 30sec limit?

I'm trying to make wmvs for Windows people. I've tried outputting the sequence direct from the timeline using QT conversion, and I've tried using Compressor, and also tried opening a self-contained file in QT, and converting that. Each time, I get a maximum length of 30sec converted. What is causing the restriction, and how do I overcome it?

My MacBook Pro (OS X 10.6.8) is connected wirelessly to a Samsung Multifunction ProXpress M3870FW. It is a black-and-white laser printer, and when it prints, the document comes out faded grey and slightly pixelated instead of coming out sharp and black. I thought there was something wrong with the printer, but when Samsung laptops print to it, it comes out just fine. The same thing happens to me when I am connected via USB.
I thought it might be that my computer was set to some kind of "Toner-Saver" or "Fast Draft" setting, but it actually only has a "Standard" setting. There is no "Fast Draft" setting.
What is going on here?

I understand that alot of people only use mobile bb when they are out of the office or travelling and dont need much capacity, but we use mobile broadband to run our entire company because your current infrastructure does not support any other internet access. With most business transactions and accounting being cloud & email based now, our dependance on the internet is everything. While I agree about the limitations, they do have reasons to limit the access to data over the mobile network... Data over the mobile network does cost more, because it requires more investment and is much more limited in capability than the fixed network. With the new 4G and 4GX capabilities, a lot of towers would be able to handle increased data allowances on Mobile data, in the same way that the new plans provide the higher allowance for Mobile Phone plans, however I highly doubt that it will be significantly cheaper if they do change the plans... more likely the prices will be pretty much the same but with different allowances or something... I know one of the moderators did hint at new plans being in the pipeline, at least for residential customers, and if they increase those, no doubt the business ones will also increase... however, when and what actually is going to change is yet to be seen. But as PP has said, the erratic nature of the NBN roll out is the greatest enemy of private investment...

Roll-over message units...there is a limit.

Beware...It is not advertised, but there is a limit of 9,000 message units to AT&T message package. I reached 8,900 message units after months of renewing and the most recent renewal was unsuccessful because it would take me over the 9,000 limit. So AT&Ts solution was to allow my message account to go inactive thereby causing me to lose all of those roll-over message units. Basically, they stold $222 from me. Why is there a limit and why should they care if I use them or not. It is my money they gladly take and as long as I renew every 30 days, it should be kept active. I was given a case number and was told that they would try to resolve this. I'm still waiting, but does anyone else think that this is a ridiculous idea of having a limit. I was also told that there is a limit of $500 allowed in a Go Phone plan. If it reaches that limit, the phone account will be inactivated and you will lose that $500. Now, THAT is ridiculous.

This was set up as an auto renewal and about 1 week before the renewal, AT&T would send a message that money would be taken from my account and be applied to the message package renewal. There was no mention that the latest renewal would take me over the "limit". Sorry to rant and be verbose, but this is ridiculous and upsetting that AT&T can inactivate my message account and take my money. They could have warned me....they certainly know my phone number. Thanks, AT&T. Customer service...I think not.

You purchase FCX in the Mac App Store, there is no disc. You can reload past purchases under your account within the app store. You should also be regularly backing up your system

OK, so you want to put it on your own web page. That's fine as long as you know how to create a web page.
The next thing you have to decide is how big do you want the video to appear on the web page. Many people just post on YouTube and then embed the video into their web page. That way, the video can take advantage of all of the various sizes that YouTube provides.
In any case, I suggest that you use H.264. But the data rate depends on the size of the file. If you are going to display it in HD, then you probably want to start at about 20Mb/s and go up or down from there. The required data rate depends on what you find acceptable, and that depends on the amount of movement in the video. For example, a talking head next to a white board explaining something requires a lot less bits to represent the image because less changes are taking place from frame to frame. If you use 10Mb/s for that, you might find 20Mb/s or more is required to make you happy if you shot a football game from the sidelines.
I generally use settings that look like this image. If you have any questions as to why I choose these settings, feel free to ask.

Your home/Library folder contains support and preference files for you. It includes all your mail, if you use Apple Mail, as well as things like contacts, calendars, Safari bookmarks and caches, and so on. It also includes any fonts which you have installed for your user. 20GB seems a little high, but if you have a lot of mail/attachments, this could explain it.
The /Library folder contains support files (usually third-party) for all users. Adobe tends to put files in here, for example. It also includes iLife template/loop files, so you'll find GarageBand loops here, for example. Fonts which can be accessed by all users can be found here.
The /System/Library folder belongs to OS X, and contains support files for the system.
Don't delete any files from any of the folders unless you know what you're doing...

Thank you for your detailed question. It sounds like the real issue is pdf files. Are there any antivirus/firewalls that might be blocking this specific file type? or are there any preferences in your control panel that might be blocking this?

Yes, I did try to go on my settings>wifi and was waiting for any wifi signals to pick up, but nothing shows up. But on my PC I get a whole list of networks to choose from. Regarding my neighbor, I already have her password that is why I was able to get it on my PC, the problem is that the mini Ipad is not picking any signal neither can it locate me when I go to maps.

When exporting a sequence from Premiere Pro CC, you are able to toggle between 4 drop down options within Adobe Media Encoder on what Source Range you'd like to export (Work Area, Sequence In/Out, Entire Sequence, Custom) as seen here:

My reason for asking is that sometimes I export multiple sequences at once using AME's Queue. I add my custom presets to each Sequence and hit export, but SOMETIMES I may have accidentally marked an in point on my timeline and by default it's set to export only that In-to-Out part of the sequence.
I know what you may be thinking...well, just don't add any In/Out points to your sequence on the timeline or clear them first. The trouble is that I often don't see them or catch them when working quickly. In Premiere Pro CC, I use the "Lighter Brightness" Appearance setting because it's easier on my eyes after editing 10 hours a day, 6 days a week. Sure, darker looks cooler, but it kills my eyes for some reason. Anyway, PPro CC has a troublesome appearance issue in CC where it's not "optimized" for editing when you change it to a lighter appearance like it was in CS6. I've already contacted Adobe about this and another appearance issue (involving highlighted clips when in Lighter Appearance setting) and they are "actively working on fixing this appearance issue asap".
For reference, here's Premiere Pro CC in/out points in default dark appearance (notice the slightly lighter grey area):

Not exactly optimized. Can hardly see it. Good luck spotting that little guy on a long timeline. Sadly, this affects in/out points in the Source Window as well. Really hard to see.
Conversly, CS6 looked the best (the blue REALLY stands out making things easy to see):
So my question again...is there a way to set the default "Source Range" to something else besides Sequence In/Out so that I don't end up doing what I just did and leaving for several hours while batch exporting only to come back and find that I exported only a "portion" of one of my big sequences?

Agreed about the roses but alas my next project always calls. Actually, I think what happens is I give each project SO much love that when it comes to exporting, I've run out of time.

Why is there no way to delete all emails from my iphone? IOS 7.1. Every other phone in the market allows you to 'select all' then delete.
This trick of selecting one, then holding move, then unchecking (and subsequently moving all the emails to trash) doesn't work. I've read these suggestions and while it appears to work the emails just show up again once you leave and return to the inbox. Perhaps it worked on an older version of IOS.
It blows my mind this is not a standard function. I get a few hundred emails at work every day, and most of the time I just want to delete all of them from the phone as I've read them already. Currently it seems i can only click edit and then have to check each email individually to be able to delete them at the same time; this is the definition of tedious. I would think there are millions of other iphone users who get their company email on their phones that must experience the same thing. It seems now i either spend 20 minutes a day deleting emails, or just let thousands of emails accumulate on the phone (taking up space and also making it hard to just review the most recent emails which is all I want to be able to do when checking email on my phone).
I am hoping I am just missing some simple solution here that everyone else uses. Please help!!

Only Apple could answer as to why there is no "select all/"delete all" function in the iOS mail app. Users have been bemoaning this lack of functionality for years now. Like everyone else, you can submit feedback to. Apple here.

While I understand the whole idea of being able to use the phone on the run, if you have an IMAP email account, and if you have access to a computer at work during the day, use your "select all" function on the server and delete all of the unwanted email there and it will be removed from the phone as well.
That doesn't solve the problem on the phone, but it gets rid of the email which is your ultimate goal anyway.
