Wobbly Earbud Connect

I have the Zen Micro and I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but...
The area where the earbuds insert has somehow loosened.(That is the best way to describe it.) If I gently push the earbuds wire connected to the Zen, forward then the sound goes in and out and sometimes there is no sound at all. I have had it since December of last year and this just started to happen. It is not the earbuds because I have tried different kinds. Any suggestions on what to do to correct this problem?

  • Earbuds connect to Apple TV

Every time I plug my earbuds into my mac, my laptop immediately connects to Apple TV. I've tried disconnecting Airplay but it doesn't do anything. Why is it doing this?

Try holding down option and clicking on the speaker icon (top right) to select the output.

    All set up but still cannot hear music-under devices "earbuds" never comes up to be selected as per the Nano manual. Any suggestions? Yes-volume controls on medium :}

  • Why my 1st generation nano earbuds not working with 6th generation nano?

    Hi there,
I had a 1st generation iPod Nano and Apple just replaced it with a 6th generation nano, however the earbuds jack of my 1st gen does not fit all the way into the 6th gen, it leaves a tiny bit outside and I couldn't push it all the way in, though I could hear sounds through the earbuds.  Is there anyone out there that experience this?  I thought the earbuds connector is universal.
Also, I'm not sure if this is related to the earbuds not fitting all the way in.  My new Nano shuts itself off about 1 minute or 2 after I turn it on, I am thinking it may think there is no earbuds connected to it, could this be why?
    Thanks for any help!
    Ray.

Push harder, the headphone jack on the 6 is very tight when new.

  • Using earbuds for phone calls.

Does anybody know if there is a way to answer a call when it comes in while listening to internet radio?? What I have to do now, is to stop the internet radio (not just pause), then get to the home screen, unplug the ear buds, then answer the phone. Is there an easier way to deal with this???

I have a similiar problem.  The centre control button and the volume controls just stopped working. Can't answer calls or skip tracks when playing iPod.  The controls on the iPhone itself still work fine with the earbuds connected.  Seem to just happen overnight.  Bought a brand new set of Earbuds, suspecting it was the buds but exactly the same results.  Non repsonsive controls.  Very disappointing.
Unlike you, the mic built in to the phone does not seem live with the buds plugged in to the iPhone.
Have you found a solution ?  Any help would be appreciated.  My iPhone 4 is just 6 months old.

  • IPhone5 earbuds sound cuts out then wires are moved expecially near the mic, also have to jiggle wires to get left earbud sound on. . .

love the lighting fast speed & LTE!!!

My iPhone 5 earbuds is facing the same kind of issue.
It is kind of making a buzzing noise. Specially when I use the 3G Internet. It also seam that the earbuds is sometime making then simple stop. Some time it is working other time is not. I think we are kind of facing two problems. 1) The earbuds connection and 2) The wire or plug is grasping some interferences or signal that it should not get.

  • 5th generation eating earbuds?

Got my Ipod in May in Germany; a short while later my right earbud failed of an ultimate ears set costing 250 Euros (which I had bought last Christmas). Bought some new ones a week ago in London for 85 quid ('shure'), and, shure enough, the right one failed today.
Is it Ipod or is it my running with them (and sweating into them?). It seems I'm not alone, see http://forums.ilounge.com/showthread.php?t=144425&page=12.
I wouldn't mind so much, having also bought some that hook over the ear, but what with the EU noise restriction I can't then actually hear classical music while running or in an aeroplane....
If someone could tell me how to get the noise restriction off that would also be good. Gopod does not recognize my ipod even if it is sitting in it!

Probably a mechanical problem.  Insert/remove the earbud connected a half-dozen times.  That may loosen the stuck contacts.
If no joy, your only remaining choice is to contact Apple.

  • Speaker is no longer working

My speaker is no longer working on my IPhone 4s; I can't listen to music, hear the phone ring or listen to Siri.  I can hear everything just fine with earbuds or when it is connected to a docking station.  I reset all content & settings, powered down several times, tried plugging & unplugging earbuds, as well as cleaning out the earbud connection with compressed air. Help!

Would that be the switch on the left side above the volume?  If so, yes.  I see that it changes back from vibrate to ring and that shows all the bars on the ring mode.

  • Headset disconnects when dialing

    Greetings,
I have a BB Curve 8900 and for the last few months my headset/earbud connects when I turn it on, but when speed-dialing it disconnects. I have to turn the headset on then off to get it to work, while the call is dailing. I've tried this with two headsets, my old one and a new one. Same thing seems to happen. Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Mark

  • Wont charge

Ok so I have reset everything i can think of on my powerbook but nothing seems to get it to charge. I orderd a new battery i am hoping that will fix it. if i push down on the power cord it will turn orange but still wont charge.. please help

if i push down on the power cord it will turn orange but still wont charge.
If the plug connecting your AC adapter to the computer is at all wobbly or loose when it is securely plugged in, the DC-in card inside the computer is damaged and needs to be replaced, and/or the plug itself is damaged and the AC adapter needs to be replaced. If the plug is visibly deformed, there's your answer: get a new adapter. If the plug appears normal but is wobbly when connected, the card inside the computer is bad. The usual cause of both types of damage is tripping over or otherwise jerking the cord while it's connected to the machine.
It should not be necessary to push or press the plug in any direction to get the light to come on; that will happen whenever the plug is connected unless the hardware is damaged.

  • When I plug in my ear pod, my 6th generation ipod will play for 60 sec then shut off. If i restart it will play for another 60 sec. Has anyone had this problem?

Has anyone had this problem? With earbuds connected the ipod keeps turning itself off. I then have to turn it on and it will play for another 60 sec and shut off.

Make sure the plug is fully inserted into the iPod.  There will be a noticeable click, and you may need to push harder than expected.

  • Disk suite 4.2.1 Bug

    Ok
Looks like I found a bug in Disk Suite 4.2. I am not sure with the other versions. So here is my finding. If I have any meta device either mirrored or raid or stripe. While my metadevice is mounted I can create a soft partation on top of it. Once i am able to create soft partation i can create a new filesystem. The intreasting thing is Disksuite never warn you about the metadevice is already in use or mounted. So it means i can destroy any mounted filesyetm. This looks like a bug to me. I am wondering if any one reported it before or not.

  • [iOS 7] Alerts and typing played in earphones at ringer volume

Hello all, ever since upgrading to iOS 7 yesterday I've noticed an annoying ear-drum bursting audio bug; now whenever a video or music is not playing on your iPhone alerts and typing (the tap-tap noise) come through my earbuds at ringer volume, which I usually set much higher than volume/headset volume so I can hear my phone in noisy situations. I usually set my headphone volume low to preserve my hearing, but now I can hear typing with my earbuds sitting on my desk.
The clincher is that this still happens even when I turn my earbuds all the way down; even when my earbuds are muted I can still hear typing and alerts at whatever volume the ringer is set to. This happens without earbuds too; muting the iPhone's internal speaker will not mute typing. (Alerts I would expect to play at full volume without earbuds connected, and they seem to do so.)
If anybody has a work-around for this that would be incredibly nice, it would be nice to be able to have my earbuds in to listen to stuff other than music. I'm fairly sure that iOS 6 did not have the same behavior. (e.g. typing is a sound effect and not an alert, and headphones use the same volume for alerts, music and effects.)

Additional info, which makes me think this is a bug rather than a feature.  If you go into Settings > Sounds and turn off the "Change with Buttons" option, then the ringer should always ring at the volume of the slider on the screen.
The volume buttons now appear to only affect the media/games volume, and it works as expected EXCEPT:
if you are in a game and you mute the volume in the game, then exit the game, all alert sounds are muted and you can't turn them back up by raising the volume with the volume buttons.
If you go back into the game and raise the volume within the game, then exit the game, then alert sounds do turn back on.
I have tested this with two games from two developers.

  • Mono Sound When Playing Music

Hello, I just purchase a 2GB micro SD card and 2.5mm to 3.5mm stereo adapter so that I can listen to music on my Pearl.  The card installed fine and I synced a few podcasts to my Pearl, however, the podcasts will only play through the right earphone.  Nothing comes through the left earphone.  Is there a setting that I can adjust on my phone to get stereo sound?  Thanks!
    Cheers,
    Jonathon

I have this same problem with my 160GB classic. I bought it 12/26 of last year and have only rarely listened with headphones. I'm usually docked to the computer or my car. Today I plugged into the earbud connection and it was horribly distorted. I changed to a set of brand new earbuds I'd recently bought and got the same thing. I played with the EQ settings as well and still no change. I docked it to my car stereo and it was wonderfully clear. Back to the earbuds and just total unlistenable crap. Not happy at all.
