Won Optys After Forecast Generation

Hi All,
We are having trouble figuring out the forecasting module. It seems that there is no way to refresh the data once it has been generated. For instance, one of my users won an opty the day after the forecast was generated. We see the won revenue in the reports but it is not in the forecast.
How can I get it included in the forecast?
Is there a refresh button somewhere?
If we have to wait until the next forecast gets generated, then what's the point? Maybe I have misunderstood the best practice here. If anyone has any insight here it will be most welcome and appreciated.

Our forecasts are generated weekly and not submitted. I am clear on how to refresh optys that ARE included in the forecast. My question is for the following scenario:
The forecast gets generated on Monday morning. On Tuesday an opty is created (not in the forecast) for $50K. On Wednesday the opty gets forecasted in the checkbox and closed/won on the same day.
I now have $50K that is forecasted and closed but not in the forecast. Do I now have to wait until next Monday to see it or is there a way to refresh the forecast to include newly created optys?

How to view images in snippets after help generation

I include snippets in topics, but after help generation, only the text is displayed but not the images included in the snippet.
There's a red cross or the image's name instead the image.
The help is generated using the following command :
rhcl [project path] [-l] [layout name] [-o] [path of custom output folder]
There is a warning at the beginning of the help generation : no bagage files description. I don't know what it's mean ?

Why won't iPod 4th Generation Click Wheel 40gb (non-photo) charge?

I have an old but much-loved iPod 4th Generation Click Wheel 40gb (non-photo model) that I keep on a charging dock. Yesterday the screen went blank and it refuses to charge, so I assume the battery is dead.
Can anyone tell me if that's the reason? If so, exactly what replacement battery I should get? I've found replacement batteries listed for the iPod 4th Gen 40 GB photo and the 4th Gen 20 GB, but don't know if they'll fit. Thanks so much for any information out there!

I've now managed to get it to manually update (after iTunes took 100% of system resources and I had to force quit it...) but that still doesn't really help me with the auto-sync feature which still won't work

ETC Source derivation for Forecast generation at Project Level

Hi,
In PJT (Oracle Project Management) , i am trying to generate the forecast through "Generate Forecast". The forecast is at project level.
As of the Oracle user guide , if in generation options if the source is Task Level selection , then ETC is derived from Task Setup.
But if the forecast is @ project level then where to configure the ETC source?
I generated the forecast line (project level) when edit forecast line , the ETC source is null .
Any idea on this?

Setups related to ETC collection:
1) Template
Setup>Workplan>Progress ... Allow Physical Percent Complete Collection with sub-option Allow Physical Percent Complete Overrides
2) Task Type
Setup>Task Types ... Enable Actuals and ETC Collection
3) Resource Class
Setup>Resource Classes ... Forecast ETC Method
I believe the pertinent setup is on the Resource Class in your situation.

Why won't After Effects boot after installing Flash 10?

Since installing Flash 10 this morning, other Adobe Products (After Effects and Audition) fail to initialize media core and won't boot. Photoshop boots okay. Deleting Preference File in AE didn't help. Restored OS to two days ago. No help. Vista 32.

Iinteresting ... while Audition (CS3) was hung-up loading its assets, I thought I'd try to figure out how to uninstall Flash 10 by retracing my steps
during download. Simply, I wanted to know the path for the download so I could find the program and uninstall it. To do this, I followed the same 'download'steps I took previously, planning to stop short of actually installing again, then taking note of the destination folder where Flash was downloaded. When I got to the Adobe site and initaited the download, just prior to authorizing the process, Audition finished loading. Believeing that maybe it had something to do with Active-X control having been in an 'on' or 'off' state, I attempted to load After Effects (CS3) and it, too, loaded! No idea why this occured, but both seem to load correctly now.

MSA dump After total generation

Hi experts,
I did some developpment on my MSA and generated successfully with "generate chages" and build the solution with "generate the solution" : it's working fine and i see my changes.
But wen I want to do a full generation, MSA start correctly but crashe after my login and give me an error message :
- creation of logon object failed
- starting MSAfailed
My sfabol dll is created but with a version 0.0.0.0 which is kindly wired and doesn't wants to register itself with "regsvr32 .../sfabol.dll"
Do you have any ideas of what i'm doing wrong ?

Hi,
it is hard to analyze what is wrong with your system but I would suggest to do the following:
- generate all BDocs with client console
- synchronize all BDocs within Dev Studio
- perform a full generation for MSA/MSV with option "delete previous content", but NOT selecting "use incremental generation"
- build the project
- register all DLLs in bin.net with regsvr32 which are NOT dot.net DLLs (e.g. by using register.bat)
- check whether the ODBC source for IDES is consistent (or try to open other apps like MSY)

How to correct close database connection after report generation

that's what I am doing... after viewing the report, I call the close method on the window closing event of the container window. but the connection is still open. I had a lot of other issues with my jdbc driver but after downgrading to an older version those issues are resolved.Only this one is still there! Is there any other way to close the connection (like using dbcontroller or etc.)?

"Creation of login object failed" after MAS generation

Hi everybody,
I am working on CRM Mobile Sales 5.0 SP6. I have performed the initial generation with the .NET Application Studio. It gave me 6 errors and some warnings. Now when I tried to logon my mobile client I 've got following error:
"Creation of login object failed".
Visual Studio is installed on partition "C:\Program Files\" and Mobile Sales on "D:\SAP\"

Hi Mirko!
In your app you're calling unknown data structures. While generating the "compiler" read the names and want to create the relevant structures but the necessary data to do this are missing. You have to start fist the client console doing a complete meta data generation. If this runs without error your generation inside the studio will succeed, too.
BTW: In your first posting you've written "D:SAP..." and in your last the error-message was "D:ProgrammeSAP..."...
Perhaps different settings?
Do you have made already a successful generation with the actual installation?

Crystal Reports "Unknown Source" Stack Trace after report generation

Getting java.lang.NullPointerException with Crystal ReportViewer.W(UnKnown Source) stack trace...

The ODBC datasource must be configured as a System datasource. The database was configured as a User datasource so it was only visible on the local computer. That's why Business Views Manager could access the database.

Retrieve raw captured data after report generation crash

Hi everyone
Yesterday we were performing load tests on a server. During which I created and I scheduled a User defined data collector set based on the system performance collector set. The data capture ran for 2 hours. It then proceeded with the process of generating
the report. During this process I observed the Tracerpt.exe was slowly and consistently consumed memory. The generate report process was taking a while, so I came back to it 15 minutes later, to discover the process has ended, but no report could be found.
I'm assuming the process crashed.
Is there a way to retrieve the raw capture data and attempt to regenerate a report? Where is the raw data temporarily stored?
Is there any why to retrieve the missing information?
Any help is appreciated.

Suppressing Result Rows can be done in Query designer itself for one time. You need not to do after you get the report every time.
If you always expect some 10 free chars constantly, i suggest you to insert them in Rows pane in Query designer but not in Analyzer. So that your report layout will be taking care with all settings what you want to do after the report generates in Excel. I mean you will get desired layout when you run the report first time itself.
Suppress repeated key values also can be done in Query designer itself one time.
By doing above, your report execution will not be tedious and it will be minimizing your efforts.
Over all, What I have understood is, you are doing all sorts of settings in Analyzer after getting such huge volume of data, by which it gives you crash error.
With all above steps, you can run your report with all pre-defined settings.

FAQ: Why won't After Effects import my PSD file as a composition but flattens it?

from the "Preparing and importing Photoshop files" section of After Effects Help:
"Layered Photoshop (PSD) files need to be saved in RGB or Grayscale color mode for After Effects to import them as a composition and to separate the layers. CMYK, LAB, Duotone, Monotone, and Tritone color modes are not supported for layered files; After Effects will import a file that uses one of these color modes as a single, flattened image."

There's got to be something different with the PSD. Is it RGB? That's the first thing to check. What is the structure of the PSD. Layer Groups? Effects? There are so many things that could go wrong that without more information we would just be guessing.

How are you charging it? its's best charged plugged into the wall not via USB. So if you're trying via USB, try using the supplied power block plugged into the wall.

Directory Server Just Won' Work after reinstalling:(

I have been reading the posts on this form in the hope of getting my problem fixed. But no luck. So here is my situation.
Os: Windows 2003 SP1
I installed DS 5.2 to my server three days back and had it configured to use with Cognos BI. It was working perfectly untill someone changed the PC Admin password. And it stopped working after that. I have tried to reinstall it after uninstalling. And It just wont start. I have tried everything that has been mentioned on this forum.
etc/host thingy and cleaning the registrey and all the things.
But at the end of the Sun ONE DS installation I get the following errors.

IE will load my excite home page but Firefox won't after following all of the suggestions , enabled cookies, java script and cleared cache.

Was working fine for years until virus scan today. It will pull up the site, but not allow me to access my personal home page. Running XP on one laptop and Vista on the other. Same problem with both machines after running scan. Only problem appears to be accessing my home page on excite.com. Have enabled both cookies and java script as well as clearing cache.
Can access excite home page on both IE and Chrome.

PR should not change after PO generation

Dear gurus,
when i create a PR from cj20n/cn22 with qty and rate and do the PO against that PR. Having created PO against the PR system is allowing us change the data in the PR(like Qty, Rate..etc.).but the requirement in my project once the PR is converted into PO system should not allow us to do any changes in the PR. please help us in controlling this.

This can not be control by user exit. You have to take Abaper's help to disble the screen qty for modify from enhancement provided by SAP in ecc 6.0. If you have lower version then original screen has to be modified taking sap key for modification
