billing info asks me for my credit card verification code and then when I input the correct code it tells me to contact apple support.

    I'm deployed to Afghanistan. My credit card works here. iTunes told me I need to verify my credit card info because my old one expired. I've tried three different cards. I also tried to just save with "no card" to delete the existing card. I keep getting the error message "visit apple support apple.com/support/itunes/ww/." I went there and can't find this exact problem from anyone. I went to apple.com and updated my card there but it's still asking me to verify when I try to download even a free app. Being deployed and wanting to get an app to contact my fiancé, I'd really appreciate the help if someone could help me figure this out.     I had my card on Itunes, used it several times and then my son went over his limit a couple of times, so I took my card off.  When my son wanted something, went in to put some money on the account, it would not accept the same card!
    We went and bought a gift card.
    Tried again today because I want to download a movie and guess what, first off I cannot remember my security questions, cannot find a way to get those reset.  Ok, I'll just buy on Itunes, it still won't accept my credit card.  And I hate, hate their customer service. 
    I am having the same issues with my son's gaming account.  I don't know what's going on.  At least with the gaming site I could talk to a real person, however, what he said did not help.

    Are you using a debit card or credit card? Debit cards don't work anymore for most people.

    Make sure that the account that you are using on the iPod Touch is indeed the same as on your computer. Check Settings > Store and see that the Apple IDs are the same. If you are using different accounts you may have different credit card information on the two accounts.

    This has happened to me in the past a couple of times.  I can't say i have a definitive answer for you, but i believe it is a problem with the iTunes servers.  I would recommend shutting off all devices connected to the account to be sure you are completely disconnected, then turn one on, connect, and try again.  That worked for me last time i had the problem.  The first time i just gave it a day and it was taken care of.

    Itunes repeatedly asks for my credit card security code. I know the code that I am entering is correct - as is my billing address. This has been happening since I had to update my card info as my old card had expired.
    Each new device (and I have MANY Apple Devices)  - iPads, iPods, iPhone, Macbook, when purchasing an app, etc. triggers a new request for verifying billing info. At this point, even though I am entering the same, accurate information. I am getting locked out from new purchases and I am in an endless loop of requests for my security code. Should I request that my profile is reset?  Thanks in advance for any advice.

    If you are having problems with apps that you've downloaded from the App Store, whilst the Apple built-in apps are ok, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.
    What happens with your credit card ? If you are getting a message about the security code then is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
    If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorizations have the correct information on file.

    Only one credit card can be on an iTunes account at any one time - presumably if they are shared credit cards with the same card number then it's the same credit card account with the one bill, so from a billing/payment point of view does it make any difference which card is on the account(s) ?

    Is the card registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ?     This is the second time this happens. I was living in the US until April 2011. I moved to Chile and kept using the App Store and the iTunes Store just fine with my US-issued credit card. However, when I accessed my Apple ID from a different device, the store stopped recognizing my credit card information and migrated my ID to the "Chilean" App & Itunes Store (significantly less apps & music... but anyway). I started using my Chilean credit card on the App and iTunes store with no issues. I supposed that the devices catched that I was no longer in the US and that I had to be transferred to the related store (which I think is fine), and that because I was now in the Chilean store I needed to use a Chilean-issued credit card (which doesn't make sense to me, I still don't understand why Apple stopped accepting my US credit card if it is accepted everywhere else in the world online and offline!).
    However, yesterday I bought something from my iPad and when today I went to use the app store from my iPhone the SAME THING happened. I got the same request to "update my billing information", I confirmed my Chilean credit card info and, surprise! "Your credit card is not supported by the Chilean app store"...
    I don't get it. If I didn't get it the first time, I ended up accepting it an getting over it because ok, I moved to another country and my account was migrated, etc. But now, it doesn't recognize my local credit card in my local store! I tried both my local Visa and my local MasterCard, and none of them worked. It looks like my account will not accept ANY credit card, no matter wheter I try to update the info from my mobile devices, on iTunes, on the Mac App Store, etc.
    It has been impossible for me to find any information on what causes this and on how to solve it, and so far I hadn't had any trouble with Apple and hadn't need any support before, but now that I need URGENT SUPPORT, I've come to realize that THEY SUCK at being accessible! There's no way I can contact them! So, please help me!!!!! I need urgent help!!!!
