Won't accept my three digit security code
My card number, valid thru date, and type are all correct, but every time I put it in it says it needs a valid security code.
Right now if I wanted to use my card, I can't (red), but that doesn't mean my card isn't still correct. Is this the problem or is Itunes being a redheaded step child again?

Your CVV code is asked for whenever the Terms & Conditions for the iTunes Store have changed, or if you access the iTunes Store from a new device, This prompt does not indicate any actual charges.
Yes it is okay to enter your CVV code on free apps, as well as any apps from the iTunes Store as you are giving your CVV code to APPLE itself, and not to the app developer.

Won't accept my debit card security code
I'm doing updates to apps on my iPad and it's saying that it needs to update my payment info and it won't accept my security code. It worked before and I made recent purchases. I put in the credit card info fresh and I still get the same error. I wonder if this is related to my iCloud's corruption issues. Thanks for any help!

Why do I have to keep entering my three digit security code
Every time I buy something from iTunes, I have to re-enter my credit card's security code. It keeps telling me I have used a different computer. I only have one computer that I use for iTunes. Assume I know how to keep it secure, is there any way I can have it save the info.
Waht version of the Mac OS are you running, and what program do you use to check e-mail?

Itunes won't accept my credit card security code
Itunes repeatedly asks for my credit card security code. I know the code that I am entering is correct - as is my billing address. This has been happening since I had to update my card info as my old card had expired.
Each new device (and I have MANY Apple Devices) - iPads, iPods, iPhone, Macbook, when purchasing an app, etc. triggers a new request for verifying billing info. At this point, even though I am entering the same, accurate information. I am getting locked out from new purchases and I am in an endless loop of requests for my security code. Should I request that my profile is reset? ITunes will not accept my Amex 4 digit security code.
When entering my valid American Express payment information, iTunes prompts me that the security code must be 3 digits. However, the question mark right next to the security code shows a picture of an Amex card with a 4 digit security code. Has anyone else had this issue? Please help!
Non American Express cards have 3 digit security codes. I have never had a problem using American Express or Master Card, with 4- and 3-digit codes respectively.
Are you sure you entered the correct credit card number, so the iTunes can identify this as an American Express card? -
How to purchase apps in App Store? When I am trying to buy those apps, it is asking for my card details. I have entered my debit card number and then it asked for 3 digit security code. I have entered cvv secure code but it is showing an invalid security
Debit cards are no longer accepted in the iTunes Store, it seems. The current valid payment methods are listed here:

You can try contacting the iTunes Store and asking if there is any way to use your card, but they probably will tell you that it's not possible.

Using a debit card in any online service where it stores your card is a bad idea in any case since if someone gains access to your account in the service, they can quickly drain your bank account. Credit cards limit your liability, as do prepaid iTunes cards.

Hi, please help me!!! My iphone 4 won't let me in using my 4 digit security code. I've tried to restore my iphone by syncing it to the last pc it was connected to, and another pc without resolve - keeps saying that phone must be first unlocked before restoration can continue. Please, please, please tell me there's another way to reset this security code. Is there a phone number I can validate my ownership etc?

How can I retrieve my four digit security code? I've never been asked to use one before when trying to do an update.
There is no way to retrieve the 4 digit code. You have to restore the device if you don't know the code and you cannot unlock the device. There have been more than a few users that are asking about this and they are all saying the same thing that you are saying - they never set a passcode before.
What is the exact message that you are getting when you try to update? -

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

Start-up screen flashes purple
