Won't accept password after updating software

I recently purchased a McBook Air. It is set up so I don't have to enter my password
everytime I open it up. Today I got notice of a software update for Lion which I downloaded.
Since then I get asked for my password, but it isn't accepting it. It gives the hint for the
password and I know I'm entering it correctly but nothing is happening. What do I do now?

IMac won't accept password after time machine restore

Restored 2009 IMac after an HD replacement by Apple. All proceeded smoothly until IMac wouldn't accept my password after the restore from Time Machine. Any ideas will be appreciated.

One thing to try, if you didn't already do this, is to reinstall OS X and use Setup Assistant (which is only available at first boot of a new HD or a reinstalled OS) to migrate your data. A full Time Machine restoration on a new HD can have file permissions problems and/or duplicate User Account problems if Setup Assistant is not used.

Keypad Locked, Not accepting password after update??

I have a BB 8530 on MetroPCS (CDMA) network. I saw thier was some updates for BB protect and a bunch of other apps so i updated them. After the reboot, it asked me for my keypad lock pass and upon entering it, it would not accept it. I know that what i am entering is correct as i entered it prior to the reboot.
i have tried diffrent variations of it with CAPs and symbols corresponding to the keys i KNOW are my pass but still no use. I am on 9/10.
I have logged in to my BB Protect online and tried to change the pass from thier but it keeps saying the current password is wrong which is impossible.
Is there some deafult password it reverted to that i can try. I have tried everything.

I heard somewhere that Rim is having problems with appworld and I think somehow affected you in this manner. They are doing some major update.
I could be wrong but just be a little patient.

Lion Server Won't Accept Password After New Motherboard Installed

We got a mac mini with Lion Server installed on it. The motherboard went bad so we took it back, and they put in the new motherboard. We couldn't log into the computer after that for some reason so we reinstalled it using the Time Machine backup we had (running from the other drive). Then we were able to log in using our admin password. Now the connecct to server won't work, even though we're trying to connect to ourselves, which should us the admin password. We deleted all the keychain passwords but to no avail.
Thoughts?

We had to reinstall the software (using cmd-r when booting up) and then reload everything. That fixed it.

App store won't accept password for updates but will for purchases...

Password is 100% correct etc... The app store on my iphone 4s (latest OS as of today) will accept my apple id password for any purchase, but not for any update.

I contacted the store. Somehow in the process of adding multiple icloud accounts to my family I somehow purchased apps under one account that had the same email but different user name. I edited both account's passwords, made them similar so that if my ipad or iphone tells me I entered the wrong password I just enter the other passwords for the other account.
I wish Apple would have a better, cleaner way to manage accounts. I didn't know this second account even existed.

Won't accept password after equipment swap

Hello - My 1TB Time Capsule blew it's WAN port. Before taking it back to Apple I backed up the config. Apple replaced the device and I took it home and imported the config file and everything came up fine. Except, Time Machine won't work. I went through the normal setup (even though nothing changed) and selected the disk and entered my password. When it goes to do a back up though, it says my password doesn't match. I know it's right but as a just in case, I went back to the TimeCapsule and re-entered my password. Then I went back to TimeMachine and it still gives me the wrong password error. So, right now, every time it goes to backup, I get a failure note due to password.
Anyone have a tip here?

E63 won't start up after updating software update....

it's my first time to connect my e63 to my PC using usb cable..Through Nokia PC Suite, i have updated my cellphone for new softwares. during the process like,Back up and installation went well until such time that my e63 shut off and the PC prompts that there was an error occured.
Since then my cellphone wont start up anymore though the battery is fully charged.

Did you wait when the Phone got switched OFF to see if it starts again ( sometimes it takes 2-3 minutes for the phone to switch ON) ? During the Update, the phone switches OFF and ON on its own a no. of times. A message in this regard is displayed when you start the Update process, which also says to neglect all errors getting displayed on your PC about the phone being disconnected.
You may have a look at THIS resource. If nothing works, you need to visit Nokia Care.

Powerbook won't accept password after OS upgrade

My G4 powerbook hard drive started going bad, so I had the local Apple store put in a new one and upgrade the OS at the same time. The store did the data recovery.
When I now try to connect to my home wireless network, the computer recognizes the access point and asks for the password. When I try to enter the password, I get an error that indicates I am not typing in the correct password. Password has NOT changed since the access point was created. The password was previously stored on the computer, but all stored passwords were lost when the data was restored to the new hard drive.
Any suggestions?

If this wireless access point you are trying to connect to is yours, then I would go into the router and reset the password or change is. You can also perform a hard reset on the router so that you can connect to the network.

Or do you mean that Messages does not appear in your Applications folder either ?

You can try borrowing one. These cables are common for Android, Kindle etc. users.
Here are some steps and notes to try:
MANY people are reporting they've had to try multiple micro USB cables to find one that works. I got one that worked from a neighbor.
For clarification, this needs to be a "micro" USB, not a "mini" USB
Some people have also reported they've had to try the Restore process more than once.
1. Unplug Apple TV and move it to your computer running latest version of iTunes.
2. Quit iTunes if running.
3. Plug micro USB cable to the back of the Apple TV.
4. Power the Apple TV using the AC cable.
5. iTunes shoud either launch itself (a good indication that the micro USB cable you're using is compatible), or launch iTunes.
6. Click Restore. Software will download and install (big file).
