I Recently got my computer hard drive replaced and have to set it up again. However, the mouse or keyboard will not connect

Where did you get the replacement HD fitted?
It may be a simple Bluetooth problem; does everything else work correctly?

Just restored my iPad at apple store but iCloud won't restore during setup

Went to Genius Bar last evening with issues on my iPad 2 .. Based on Genius Bar findings I had bad core apps causing restart ... Before restore we verified iCloud restore was all set .. But during the activate process it won't let me restore from back up .. Genius tech tech said they have been moving iCloud accts to different storage spots .. But was able to verify my backup was on the iCloud server.. Anyone else having this issue or know when it to be resolved?

Make sure your replacement iPad is running the same iOS or higher as the one you backed up or you won't see the backup or be able to restore it. If it is running a lower iOS version, update it then try restoring your backup again.

IPad cannot finish wifi connection during setup?

Just bought an iPad (1st generation) from Apple store. I am trying to follow the Setup Assistant and connect to our wifi. The iPad sees the wifi but never completes the connection. The little gray wheel just keeps spinning around.
My friend's iPad and MacBook connect to it fine. Can someone help?

Also try this - Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

WRT55AG router dropping wired connection during setup

Hi, I bought a Linksys WRT55AG router yesterday after my Netgear wireless router gave up on me.
However, when I am setting up the router with the setup cd, it gets to around step 8 when it is searching for the router, but it keeps flashing that the network cable is unplugged, then it will connect, then it will unplug again. This keeps happening, so I am unable to get anywhere with the setup. It appears that the router is resetting itself as the lights all go off when it says it has been unplugged.
I know there is nothing wrong with the network cable or network card I am using, as I can connect directly to my modem without any problems.
This is really frustrating because I cannot easily access the internet without a wireless connection, and the router is brand new!
Please can somebody help before I pull all my hair out? I can't update the firmware either as I can't keep a good enough connection on the router to do that. Is my router faulty, should I send it back?

i see. if after trying to use another power adapter, and then you have the same problem, try resetting the router by pressing and holding down the reset button for 30 seconds then power off the router for 30 secs and power it back on.
If you still have the same problem, you will need to reflash the Firmware of the router.
go to this link and it will guide you thru the process.:

then, after reflashing or upgrading the firmware, reset the router again for 15 secs then, reconfigure it again.

Bluetooth keyboard won't work during setup

Got two refrubished Mac Mini Servers. Neither will recognize a brand new Apple Wireless Keyboard and they lose connection to the Wireless Mouse.
Any ideas? If the only solution is to go out an buy a wired keyboard and mouse, I'm returning these to Apple. I'm using all Apple components and frankly, find this ridiculous.

in my experience, if you order the wireless periphery along with the Mac (e.g. from the Apple online store), they come pre-paired and work out of the box.
if not, you'll have to pair them first before you can use them.
leave your comments on Apple's Feedback site as, on this user-to-user forum, Apple can't hear you.

I Have a laptop im trying to set up wirelessly through this Router and having problems.
When following the setup disc it keeps coming up that it cant find the router although i have followed the instructions and have them connected via the network cable..

What is the IP address you are getting on this PC? Check if you can ping to this router with its IP address (default IP: 192.168.1.1) if not then try resetting it for 1 min by pressing the reset button. Once you get the ping then you can try configuring the router.

E1550 - Error code 82BD0119, Cisco Connect gives connection timeout error during setup

During setup, after 90% completion I get "adapter connection timeout period expired". I'm unable to configure my router.
I downloaded the lates Cisco Connect software and tried that as well but I get the same problem.
Operating System : Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 (32 bit).

I believe you have a static IP address assigned in the computer. Here are the steps to check for the wireless:
~~ Go to Wireless network connection properties.
~~ Click On Internet protocol TCP/IP and go to properties.
~~ Select 'Obtain IP address automatically' and 'Obtain DNS server automatically'.
~~ Click OK and then close.
Check for the Local Area Connection as well in the same procedure.
Then uninstall the existing Cisco connect software, reset the router.
Steps to reset the router:
Push the reset button on router for 30 seconds, turn off the router wait for 30 seconds and then power it on. After this process reconfigure the router. Power light should blink when you perform the reset process.
After performing the following steps install the Cisco connect again and check the status.

My first advice is "Back up the device, then have it replaced." Second item of advice, "Don't forget your passcode."
One of the purposes of the lock button is to recover from certain software failures. Without the lock button, such a recovery is nearly impossible. My advice would have served you best when the malfuction first developed, not after you forgot your passcode.

During setup HP PSC 2175v all-in-one printer locks up XP computer when usb cable is connected. Only hard shutdown and restart to get computer working again works. How do you fix this issue?

The USB port on the PSC2175V may be defective or the XP USB port is defective.
Can you try the PSC2175V on another computer?
Check the XP device manager for any problems, do other USB devices work ok?

Deskjet Advantage 3540 (Envy 4500): Computer won't connect with printer during software installation

I just bought this printer and I am trying to install it by using the HP installation CD but I am running into difficulties to complete the process. The problem is that the computer won't connect with the printer (but my printer connects fine with my Wi-Fi network) and installation does not complete.
The HP software installation process appears to go normally (at least no error messages are shown) but when it gets to the part where it asks me how I would like to connect to the printer (Wireless or USB cable) I get an error message when I select Wireless Mode. My printer appears listed but as soon as I select it, a dialog is shown stating that "network installation could not be performed".
Below are the dialogs and what happens (text is in portuguese but you get the idea)
Dialog 1: selecting wireless connection mode
Dialog 2: printer appears in list and I select it
Dialog 3: Error message is shown, no further details
Here are some more facts:
(1) Printer connect fines with my Wi-Fi network: the connection details are correctly shown in its display (Wi-Fi SSID and IP 192.168.0.6) ;
(2) If I go to a web browser in my computer and type in the IP address, I can access the printer's webpage fine;
(3) I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling HP software;
(4) I've resetted my router;
(5) I've executed "HP Print and Scan Doctor" utility and it states my software hasn't been installed (which I don't understand) and it tries to download HP software and install one more time and I get to the error.
(6) If I go to "Start" menu, I can see the HP group is empty (installation only creates icons on my desktop). See picture below:
My OS is Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate (Service Pack 1)
EDIT: I've just discovered the inkjet Advantage 3540 and Envy 4500 appear to be the same printer, each target to a different market.
Help is much appreciated as I tried a lot of things to make this printer work wirelessly with my computer but without success.

Cannot setup my iPhone 4 won't connect to my wifi

Hi bit behind the times here bought an iPhone 4 today set it up in work over WiFi but got home now it won't connect I was advised to do a system reset which I have done thinking it would then connect to the iPhone but it won't now I can't set the phone up

HP 6520 wifi won't connect

Just took a 6520 out of the box, trying to set it up/print to it from a windows 8.1 computer, after returning a 4620 printer that had the same problem.
Ran the setup software. Setup software can't even manage to figure out what wireless network the computer it's running on is connected to - useless.
Printer can find the wireless network, and when using the wrong password, won't connect, citing wrong password.
When I use the right password, it just fails to connect.
I've rebooted my router, rebooted my computer, rebooted the printer. No good. Print doctor software is useless as it can't even find the printer.
I've turned off MAC filtering on my router, and disabled Windows Firewall. Nothing.
I have an epson printer that has no problem connecting, and every other wifi capable device I own can connect to my wifi with no problem, from both Android and apple phones to tablets to four different PCs and laptops to my freaking nest thermostat. Why can't my printer manage to just work over wifi?
I do not have a USB cable for the printer (it wasn't sold with one), btw, so trying that is out (besides, I bought this as a wireless printer, not a wired printer).
Help please.

I see you have a Photosmart 6520 and a Windows 8.1 computer that don't seem to want to talk to one another. I'm sorry to hear this, but I will certainly do my best to help!
I would suggest you start by following the steps for Windows 8 in this 'Unable to Find Printer' Error Message Displays on the Computer During a Wireless Network Installati... document (make sure to follow the Option two: Connect with the Wireless Setup Wizard under Step five). If that doesn't resolve it, please try the steps under Your printer has never worked over the network in the HP Wireless printing center.
I realize you may have tried some of these steps, perhaps all of them, before but often trying them in a specific order is what makes the difference
