Won't connect to my Verizon e-mail account.

I downloaded firefox. When I went to my verizon e-mail account it wouldn't open. It just keep cycling the page like it was trying to connect but never did. I removed firefox. Is there a fix to this? Does verizon recognize firefox?

Does anyone know if I can keep my non-Verizon e-mail accounts when I get a FIOS connection? The reason I ask is I previously had a Verizon DSL account and I could not use my e-mail account with a seperate ISP. Is this scenario possible with a FIOS Internet account?

I have seen this stated many times, but I have had no trouble sending emails using an sbcgobal server for the last two years while using my FiOS connection. I also do the reverse, send from my FiOS email account using OE while connected via AT&T (I did have trouble in the beginning because they were blocking Port 25, but a short phone call to their tech support fixed that problem).
I don't know whether Verizon only blocks port 25 in certain areas of the country, or perhaps have removed the block completely, but it most certainly works ok for me.

Unable to update apps since I have closed my Verizon e-mail account. The old ID address pops up and I can not do updates. I can not use the old password since the account is closed. I have a new ID and password on my laptop but not for my I phone.

My Verizon e-mail account is closed and I can not access the needed updates for my I phone apps. Even if I knew the password I would have to access the old e-mail account which I can not do. I have an ID and password for my new laptop but not for my I phone which is under a Verizon service contract....ugh!!! Thanks

You don't need to access the email account.

On the iOS array of devices, you need to make sure all of the settings are right. I have found an official Verizon webpage for setting it up on Apple devices right here:

5s won't connect to my Verizon wifi

I upgraded to the iPhone 5s today and when ingot home I tried to connect it to my Verizon home wifi and it just keeps asking me for the password and won't connect.

Mail no longer can connect to any of my mail accounts

For the last two weeks or so I have had a weird issue with Mail. It tells me it's unable to connect to either of my email accounts (verizon and gmail) and takes both offline.
For a while restarting the MacBook seemed to fix this some of the time. I have gone through and rechecked all the passwords, etc. and I can get at my mail accounts through Safari using the verizon.net and gmail.com browser interfaces.
The verizon account is POP and gmail is IMAP, so it's apparently not related to the mail protocol.
This has gone from merely annoying to a serious problem.
Any ideas?

Your Mail accounts are looking to their original connections to find the email servers that you setup. When the VPN is running it cuts off the connection to those original servers in favor of the servers in the VPN network.

Cannot add my Verizon e-mail account to iPhone 4s.

I've searched everywhere and just can't figure this out. I go to the settings in my iPhone 4s iOS7 and add a new Mail account. I fill everything out with my Verizon email info and I get an error "the username or password for pop.verizon.net is incorrect".
Obviously the username or password IS correct because I can access my email on my computer but when I try and make a new mail account on my phone, this error always pops up. What am I doing wrong?

Mail says that it can't connect to my Yahoo! Mail account

This has happened quite frequently to me recently: my Mail account on my Mac will randomnly say that it "Can't connect to the account Yahoo!" which is my primary email account. It will then have me enter my password to my Yahoo! Mail account. This is rather annoying, and I was wondering how I can get this to stop.

I experience the same issue. I am in contact with apple support who have as yet not been able to resolve the problem. To receive mail on my mac I first have to log into yahoo.com via a browser and then I can return to apple mail where mail sending and receiving works for a few minutes. After some time the connection between apple mail and yahoo.com breaks (even though I remain logged into yahoo.com) and I can no longer send and receive mail from my mac. I then have to log out and back in again to yahoo.com for the mail to again work in apple mail. This have been an issue since late June.

All of a sudden, my Mac won't connect to my smtp outgoing mail server...

It looks for a connection, but never connects. No issues until this week, it's been working fine for 14 months.
Settings verifed with the ISP (Cox) but beyond that they were of no help. Mail sits in Outbox and won't send.
Anyone had this issue and how did you fix it?

I would troubleshoot by disabling firewall trying other devices like smart phones or other computers to see if they can
then I would look in the routers settings and verify using the webmail option that the password was not changed

My AirPort Express won't connect to my Verizon FIOS Router

I am trying to get my AirPort Express to join my Verizon FIOS wireless network and I am experiencing difficulties. I have made sure theAirport is updated with the 6.3 firmware. I only want to use it to play AirTunes over my existing network. So when I go to set it up in the AirPort Utility on my MacBook Pro it recognizes the Airport Express. I go through the setup and select "Join my existing wireless network". Then I click on my network's name and enter the WEP (i am sure I am not misspelling the WEP, I checked several times) and finish up on the settings. I then click "Update" and it tells me it's resetting and will show up in a few moments. It never shows up on my utility and the speaker never shows up on itunes. From then on the AirPort Express is unrecognizable as an airport or a network, and won't be recognizable again until I reset it.

My iPad won't connect to a server for mail only. This happened after my update to 7.02 update to 7.02

MY iPad mini cannot connect to the server for Yahoo! email. I am able to access internet and Facebook. This connection error came after an upgrade to 7.02. Has anyone else had this issue? Have you been able to resolve it? I have checked all my account info, deleted and re-entered my account, rebooted my iPad. Nothing has helped.

What passwords will a Verizon e-mail account accept?

I'm a new FiOS Internet customer and I saw that e-mail passwords have to be at least 6 characters, including one letter and one number. OK, so I can't use the password I used on my old account.
But when I chose a password composed of an English word plus two numbers it was rejected as too easy to guess.
Then I chose one composed of a foreign word plus numbers. It, too, was rejected for the same reason!
(At this point I want to mention that I once saw network correspondent John Roberts at a computer equipped with a password-cracking program and it guessed his password in a few seconds, and the password was "konnichi-wa" ("Good morning" in Japanese).
Still, my 2nd rejected choice should have been as unguessable as my final choice (which I won't hint at here)

Password change tips
Your password should be case-sensitive.
Use a combination of at least six numbers and letters.
Don't use your user name in any form (e.g., spelled backwards or with a number added to the beginning or end).
Avoid using a single word, from any language, with a number added to the beginning or end.
Your password cannot include such characters as /, #, *, or a blank space.
Please allow up to one hour for your password change to take effect.
Also:
It cannot be too simple. (passw0rd, abc123, etc.) - These are FAR too easy to guess.
It cannot contain your username or your first or last name as they appear in Verizon's system. (This means that if Verizon has your name as J Smith instead of John Smith, then your password can't have a 'j' in it!)

Blackberry 9330 won't let me add my g-mail account

I had this set up and something happened. I deleted the account and tried to re-set it up and it keeps telling me that my account or password it incorrect. I can go right to g-mail and login with the same account info so I don't know why this is happening. Please help me I use this account for work and I need to get my e-mails.

I'm having exactly the same problem, but this wasn't the case the last time I added an account a few months ago - might this be as a result of a recent update?

Verzion ads in Verizon e-mail account

Does anyone know how to block verizon ads for various products without stopping basic important stuff like bills? I'm not interested in new products; just want the basic services I pay for. Any notions out there?

If you are referring to the ads at the bottom of the screen, there is a "+" and a "-" that you can click on to not see the bar at the end. Also the different blocks you can click on "hide" to not show the advertisements.
