Won't disconnect call

why does my iphone 4 drop a call when a second call comes in?

Me too.  For the first few days I would completely turn off my phone.  Today, I thought 'how about I just close the app.'
Double tap the home button. Hold your finger down on the app's icon until it starts to jiggle. Tap the sign.
Seems to be working so far and MUCH quicker than turning the phone off and on.

  • IPhone won't disconnect call

For the past week or so, when I am finished with a call, nothing happens when I press "End".  The call continues until the call is disconnected by the other person (I presume).  This doesn't happen every time, but often enough to be really annoying.  I am using iPhone 4s with iOS 5.1.1.

  • CK-7W Won't end call

I have a Nokia 6300 connected via bt to the CK-7W. All works well except the dashboard button won't end calls. My wife has the same problem in her car (CK-7W with a Nokia 7373) Anyone else experienced this problem as Nokia support just say it should work - a little strange as the problem occurs in two different kits with two different handsets.

Problem solved.  Disconnected car battery for 30 seconds, and that was enough to do the trick.
If anyone else has the same problem, this is the answer.  Orange technical services were only interested in charging me a £45 + VAT call out fee.  Doesn't endear you to people when there is a perfectly simple solution like this,
    Thanks for reading.

  • IPod mini won't disconnect

After going through h--- with this ipod and getting it back up and running.....NOW it won't disconnect!! It did disconnect once, because I checked to make sure it was actually working. But, now it keeps saying that it cannot disconnect because some of it's files are being used by another application. I have no idea what this other application could be....any ideas or advice will be greatly (understatement!) appreciated! Thank you!

Easy way. Reset the iPod, then disconnect when you see the Apple logo.
Another way. Hold ctr-alt-del to bring up the Windows Task Manager. Go to the Processes tab and look for iTunesHelper.exe and iPodService.exe. Select them and hit the End Process button. Close the Windows Task Manager Window and try ejecting the iPod via the safely remove hardware method.

If you are still having problems you can try one more thing. Right click on the My Computer icon and select Manage from the list of actions. Go to the Services and Applications item and from there the services item. Double click on the services item to bring up the list of services currently installed on your computer. Look for the iPod Service and double click on it. From the new window select Stop. Now try again to eject using the safely remove hardware option.
McAfee ActiveScan security software also can cause a problem, and if you have this you might want to try turning it off and see if the iPod then ejects correctly.

If all else fails shut down the computer and disconnect the iPod.

  • Siri won't connect calls after update

aafter updating to 8.0.2 Siri won't connect calls. She will find the number and tell me she's placing the call but after that nothing. Any help,

    Hello Grandmac23,
It may help to force close all open apps on your iPhone, then restart.

  • What do I do with failed restore and an iPod that won't disconnect?

It's in disk mode and won't disconnect from the computer after a failure to restore...
    help?

If you put your computer on standby, wait about 5 minutes and then start the computer back up - does that work?

  • Won't disconnect after syncing

iPod won't disconnect after sync. Says it's in use by another program. How do I find out what program is using it and why?

A background anti-virus scanner is one possible culprit as are other programs that might scan the drive when it connects such as Google/Windows desktop search tools. You should also make sure all Explorer windows/dialog boxes are closed, e.g a folder view of the iPod or a dialog saying something like. "This disk contains different types of items, what would you like Windows to do...?" Use ALT-Tab to cycle between windows as you may not even spot this one is there... it can open up behind iTunes without any other sign on screen, particularly in Vista. You may even need to quit iTunes before you can eject the disk if it has not closed files properly. Your milage may vary, but I often have to wait up to a minute after closing iTunes for it to announce that it is saving it's library and it may not be until this point that it properly closes all of it's open files.

  • Fax modem won't disconnect

After sending faxes, the modem occassionally won't disconnect the phone line, keeping the line engaged until the computer is restarted. Even the "reset printing system" function doesn't correct this problem.
Has anyone else had this happen with the Mac mini and Panther, and how did you resolve it?
    Thank you!

This is happening on my G4 Powerbook Aluminium) with Tiger. Extremely disappointing, seeing as the last time Apple had any decent faxing software was with ExpressFax that came with the PowerBook Duo Express Modem (circa 1994!!).
It would seem that whenever a fax is sent and the recipient doesn't answer, the modem doesn't hang up. When the modem is forced to hang up (ie by deleting the fax job or resetting the fax queue), it will not allow connections from either the fax queue or internet connect.
The only way I've been able to solve it is with a full, cold restart. Surely this is a bug - and surely it's high time Apple solved the whole faxing mess (cronically bad execution, bad ergonomics and low reliability) for good!

  • Unable to Disconnect Call

I recently upgraded the Z3 device with software version 10.3.1.1565. after the upgradation, i am unable to disconnect calls. No matter how many times i am trying to disconnect it doesnt works and after sometime it disconnects of its own.
What is the reason behind this and what is the possible solution to resolve this issue.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness shows up, the first thing to try is a proper reboot:
Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process.
If this fails, you can attempt the more forceful method of holding the up/down volume keys until the device has fully shut down, and then boot up normally.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
    Good luck!

  • My iphone4 disconnecting calls after 3 rings and show these calls as "missed calls" while the person who calls me still hear a dial ring. this started to happend after i upgraded to ios 7.0.4 please advise

my iphone4 disconnecting calls after 3 rings and show these calls as "missed calls" while the person who calls me still hear a dial ring. this started to happend after i upgraded to ios 7.0.4 please advise
this is really frustrating since i cant pick up calls with only 3 rings and i always miss them
i tried to restore like 3-4 times, didnt help
even tried to set the iphone as a "new iphone" on itunes and it didnt help

Generally, when going out of the country and using a foreign SIM, carrier files can be changed. Go to Settings>General>About>and look at Carrier? What does it say? You may have to perform a restore. You can try a restore from a backup, that would reinstall the iOS, and would provide the latest AT&T carrier file as well. See if this will fix the problem.

You need to do the basic troubleshooting steps as described in the iPhone User Guide (Appendix B):
    Reset phone
Restore in iTunes using a backup
Restore in iTunes as new (without using a backup)

  • Call Waiting - Doesn't Stop Showing Disconnected Call

    Hi, all!
I recently upgraded my phone to a Galaxy S4 and hoped a problem I noted on my earlier HTC handset would be cured, but it isn't.
I am on a call and take another call, which puts the first on hold. I finish the second conversation and the other party hangs up. The original call comes back on. Great. But...
    Dialer still shows both calls
Dialer shows the disconnected call as the active call and clocks time against it
I cannot remove the disconnected call through any action
Does anyone know what is going on? Is this a dialer defect or a phone / network problem? Is there any non-standard dialer that fixes this?
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!
    - Mark

Same question, here... this is not something fixable with safe mode. The question is simple; once I answer the incoming call via call waiting, how do I hang up on that call and go back to the original caller who is on hold? I don't want to switch. I don't want to hang up on both.
Seems this is impossible, but should not be.
What are the steps to make this work?

  • Samsung Intensity III won't make calls

My Samsung Intensity III is stuck in roaming mode and won't make calls.  Any suggestions?

My home is zip code 97016.  The phone has worked fine for the year or so
that I've had it until the last couple of weeks.  When I try to make a
call from home, I get the "Welcome to Verizon, not able to complete the
call as dialed" message  Then the recording says something like "4
switch 6-6". It is an intermittent problem, but is upsetting to not be
able to rely on the phone working.  This morning the phone is working,
but I'm not confident that it will last.
    Thank you for your help.

  • Blackberry Curve, when I take it out of the case/pouch/holder it disconnects calls

    Hi all,
I would be grateful for any help with this.
I have a leather case for my Blackberry, it's a proper Blackberry case with the logo.  If I receive a phone call, as I take the blackberry out of the case it disconnects the call.
This is my second case and still have the same problem
I received this phone for Christmas last year and each time I receive a call I remove from the case, it disconnects call and so I have to call them back.
I really need to get this sorted!
If the phone isn't in a case it works fine.
If anyone can help me I would be very happy!
