Won't display odd page on right in two-up view

thanks in advance for reading this: I self publish several books of my own. Using InDesign CS3 I've exported them (for years, all the way back to Pagemaker) as a 'book' pdf and with ID's wonderful view pdf feature, I've been able to review them 'two-up' the way they would appear after printing. After CS3 for some reason, I can't get Acrobat to let me view them with the odd page, ie., the first page, starting on the right panel, the even on the left and so on.
At first I thought it was a page numbering or pagination issue from Indd, but....I've gone back to older pdf's in previous books and brought them up in Acrobat and the same thing now appears. Can't seem to find any reference to this in the online help or the local help files.
Any ideas? I'd be most appreciative....

Using Version 8.1.2
Goto VIEW
Then PAGE DISPLAY
Then select SHOW COVER PAGE DURING TWO UP
Seems to work for me, took a bit of hunting to find that, despite Adobe's online help telling me that multiple page documents will always display with the odds on the right to make sense of books!

PDF won't display all pages

I'm having problems with a PDF I'm generating, I'm using the presets, never have had the problem before, but some of the pages won't display, there's only a white page. Has anyone else had this problem before? How did you work around it?

Yes, it PDF's on it's own.

Native Inspect Element tool won't display CSS/elements along right-side of window anymore.

I recently updated to Firefox 20.0 and noticed that the native Inspect Element tool doesn't have an option to display the page css elements along the right-side of the window like it used to.
Is there a button somewhere I'm missing that allows this view?
I also noticed that I cannot hit escape to exit the inspector anymore.
Why would this option have been removed?

I agree with all the above - it's utter shite now. Before it was elegant and useful, now it's a waste of space.

Brand new ipod touch won't display home page

Hi Folks
Just bought 2 new Ipod Touch's for the kids for xmas. One turns on fine and went straight to the home page and allowed me to personalise it but the other one starts up and just displays a picture of the USB cable and an upward arrow pointing to an ITunes symbol. It won't allow me to go to the homepage. Have i done something wrong????? Help

It needs to be restored. The only way to do that is to connect it to iTunes and restore as new.

Page Content Won't Display in Contribute (Edit Mode) or Dreamweaver (Design View)

I have pages on my site that have decided they don't want to display content either in Contribute (in edit
mode) or in DreamWeaver (in design view). They always look fine in Live view, prior to hitting the 'edit' button or when viewing in a browser. Using CS4 on Windows XP. I use Contribute for small edits and this renders that tool useless as there is no WYSIWYG. It's a pain in Dreamweaver to have to keep previewing in browser when I'm used to working in code/design view. Any help most appreciated. Here's the page I'm currently having the problem with:

Site won't display entire page

But every time I "Put" up the page to include the updated information, it cuts the page off and the bottom of the page is incomplete.
What am I doing wrong?

Start by adding a valid document type declaration to the top of your DWT file.
Without a valid doc type, browsers render pages in Quirks Mode with unpredictable results.
Then work through and fix your code errors. You have quite a few which could effect display.

Image from database won't display in page region

Iâm having difficulty getting an image stored in the database to display in an HTMLDB page region. Iâve consulted the tutorial in Sergioâs Blog and looked for relevant threads in this forum but am still having problems. Any insights into where Iâm going wrong would be very helpful.
Iâm using HTML DB 1.5.1.00.12 and database 10.1.0.2.0 on an x86 machine running Win 2k SP4. My browser is IE6.
First, hereâs the procedure I wrote to display the picture. Although the variable names have been changed this is substantially the same as the procedure in the tutorial:

Enterprise Manager tells me that the procedure is valid, and I made sure to grant execute to public.

When I run the page my region displays properly but I get the red X where my picture should be. A review of the HTTP serverâs error log tells me that the server thinks my procedure (HTMLDB.DOWNLOAD_PIC) doesnât exist. If I create a second PL/SQL page region and set the region source to just the display_pic procedure by itself, using a static number as the p_personid parameter, the picture displays in my browser, but as the only object on the page. Typing the URL http://localhost:7777/pls/htmldb/htmldb.download_pic?p_personid=1 directly into my browser also gives me the âprocedure doesnât existâ error. So I believe my procedure works correctly but somehow my URL in the img tag is incorrect.

please describe your task correctly:
You want to create a link (in report) with download image capability, or you need to SHOW image in report? This is a bit difference tasks.
I solved this tasks, you can do both capability in one report. It easy.
1. wpg_docload procedure can be used only for download image/BLOB, not show it.
2. For both download/show BLOB you need dual link with two different procedures. One with wpg_docload call for download, another for show with htp.prn (not htp.p!*) call for show. Then you can create call both procedures from your SQL repors select.
3. Viola, all works perfectly.
*Note: htp.p inserts newline after every block of BLOB, so JPEG with size> 32K will be incorrectly shown. htp.prn makes uninterrupted output without newline insert.

The content tab in options won't display the page

I can't get the data to display in this window. I have started having problems with a lot of pop-ups and wanted to check the setting.
Also, I'm sure there must be a way to search in the forums, but I couldn't see how. If someone could answer this one, I might be able to help myself.

A problem with displaying part of the options windows can be caused by an extension. Try running Firefox in Firefox safe mode, this will disable extensions and can be used to see if one is causing the problem. For details of how to access safe mode see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode - In the dialog that pops up when starting in safe mode, do not select any of the options, just click on "Continue in safe mode".

Palm TX won't display web page

Each time I try to connect to the web via my wi-fi, I get an error saying the URL may be temporarily available or cannot be resolved. I am sure that the site is active and available, however. My wi-fi signal is strong and is connected, but I continuously get this error with any site.

(Glad to see you're still lurking around here, Wyrenut. Your posts have helped me tremendously. And this comes form somebody who has run and internal developer's support group for quite a few years.)
I also started having this problem after getting my TX hooked up through my home network. I had to set up a wireless access point with only WPA security to get around having to change the WPA2 security on all my other equipment. I applied the ESU upgrade, but that didn't seem to help with WPA2 Personal. Previously, I could get at least half of the pages to come up through the open hotspot in the lobby of our building at work, but I haven't tried that since I applied the ESU upgrade this morning.
I can get to the internet through the access point using a laptop, and I can see the IP address of the Palm coming through the access point on the router's admin page, and the DNS addresses of the PC and the Palm are the same. So I think I'm through, but every page I try gets the 'Page not available' message, even if I enter the IP address of the page rather than the URL.
Is there any other method of debugging available to see if the page is really coming back and locking up Blazer, or whether it's really not coming back at all? Or any other suggestions?
Personally, I sort of liked the old Internet Explorer that counted off how many K were coming through as the page was being loaded. At least you could tell something was happening.

Hyperlinks Won't display on page

Frustrated! Never had the problem before. I'm creating 6
pages from a template. The template looks fine but when I enter any
hyperlink in an editable region it doesn't show up. The link works
but it's just a blank spot on the page. Running out of time,please
help.

My email accounts on my iphone 4s show the message titles but won't display the main message. How can I view the main message?

I am stuck. I recently travelled abroad and changed the settings on my iphone. I thought that I had changed them all back but messages in my mail accounts show the titles but when I click into them the main message doesn't download. Is anyone able to tell me what settings I need to change to be able to view the main messages?

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

CSS won't display on DW page files to which template is applied

CSS links fine to template, but when applying template to page, styles won't display even though path to CSS file is correct in template.
When file is uploaded to server it links just fine to CSS and styles display online as they should.

Acrobat 9 Pro: Can't view last odd page in navigation panel

When viewing pages of a pdf through the pages navigation panel in Acrobat 9 Pro in 2-up view, if the document finishes on an odd page, you cant scroll down and view the last page in the navigation panel. This wasn't a problem in Acrobat 8 Professional. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix this?

Thank you, but that's not going to be very efficient for his purposes, he says. He's actually moving back to Acrobat 7 to build new documents. I spoke with Adobe tech support this morning and showed them the issue via desktop viewing; they stated that the engineers are still working on the problem and it "would fixed in the next major release." Very disappointing.
Do you any insight into when the next major release of Acrobat may be?

Ad page for one site won't display, but works fine with Internet Explorer

Main page of one site displays fine, but ad page won't. Works fine under Internet explorer. Didn't have problem before.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
(2) Remove your live.com cookies (save any pending work first) using either of these. While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
