FF not working. I un-installed it and arttempted to re-install. I keep getting a "close FF" and try again...or there in abouts...it is NOT installed klet alone "OPEN"!!

Pages doesn't have to be in the /Applications folder if you've purchased it from the App Store so that's not an issue in this case. Having said that, I'd try moving it back to the /Applications folder to see if that makes a difference.
I'd also suggest logging out of the Mac App Store and restarting your Mac to see if this makes a difference.
My last suggestion would be to delete Pages (and iWork) from your Mac altogether, log out of the Mac App Store, restart your Mac and redownload it from the Mac App Store.

Why does "Baskerville Regular" keep getting turned off?

Since upgrading to Mavericks, Baskerville Regular -- the font used by the Dictionary (V2.2.1/156) -- keeps getting turned off. Result: when I open the Dictionary, all definitions etc. appear in bold.
All is fine if I open FontBook and turn Baskerville Regular back on again -- until I restart. Then I have to do it over again.
The problem is on a per-user basis. If I turn the font in on my account, stay logged in, and log in from another account, the font is turned off in that account.
Something’s turning it off. Anyone know what?

I have two new movies that I can't finish downloading onto my iPad mini. I have plenty of space but keep getting the unable to download, try again later message. I signed out of my apple account and signed back in, no help. I shut my iPad off and tried again, no help. I'm currently trying to download them to my computer so I get just sync my account but one of the movies is in HD. HELP PLEASE!

Why does my popup blocker keep getting turned off?

No matter how many times I try - my popup blocker gets turned off the next time I start Firefox.
I've got a current version of Norton running - so I assume there is no known trojan or virus on the machine.
Any ideas?

Mine does that too. I was wondering if it was due to the OS and that sometimes its too much for the 3GS. I've had mine almost 3 years. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will help. :)

T-bird is stuck on a msg in my main email account. I keep getting that msg over and over again even though it says there are 200+ msg waiting to be received.

I have t-bird installed on both my desktop and laptop. The laptop is working fine. They were both running 24.6.0 until I updated the version on my desktop today after the problem occurred to 31.1.2. It still doesn't work. I keep getting the same message over and over again even though it's telling me that there are 200+ messages waiting to be delivered. This can't be an ISP problem as my laptop is on the same network and as I said, is working fine. The differences are: desktop running win 7 64 bit and laptop running win 7 32 bit.

I gave up and went back to your original suggestion. I edited the popstate file and added a delete record for the msg that I kept getting over and over. The format was d longassid 0
The single 0 for the timestamp is what I didn't know before. When I polled again, the record was deleted and the rest of my new messages downloaded.
