Won't let me choose who I call, auto connects with...
It used to be that when I called my to-go number a voice would invite me to choose between calling a contact or entering another number I wished to call--and I used it for making calls mostly to non-contacts. Now there's no voice and automatically it puts me through to the first of my to-go contacts--so the to-go number is useless for calling anybody else, new or old. Can any one help me?
In your Skype To Go account overview, look for a link called "View old number" in the bottom right. That's where you can find the number with the voice menu allowing you to call any number.

Okay. I was given the advice to make sure I had the latest Java. So I uninstalled all versions of Java. Reinstalled latest version of Java 6 update 23. Tried to reinstall Mozilla Firefox and got as far as the box that says: Import wizard settings and data. The curser bounces back and forth from the options microsoft internet explorer and don't import anything. It won't let me choose. It just keeps bouncing back and forth from those two options. Should I just click "next"? Thanks. DC
Wow that was really quick, thank you so much. Im not sure at all which version it was because i said it was around 4 years ago he bought it. I know it isn't under his username, since he's a PC person (ugh) so i know its probably registered to one of our actual names. isn't there some way to look it up since we did register it, because I'm not even sure where the disks are from when we bought it (we've moved a lot and also have two storage lockers, i know i would have kept it with other disks) but my cd rom drive is actually broken on my computer as well ( i think it got stepped on and is now squished and won't eject or run disks.)
So is there anyway they can look up that its registered to one of our names since we did register it when we bought and installed it, or do i really have to find the disk with some sort of proof of purchase (i know there would be no receipt after all this time)
either way, ill do what you suggested to the best of my abilities and thank you so much for answering my questions, i can't even open the program as its incompatible and find out the info from that) so I'm in a bit of a pickle and your response was so thorough and it didn't seem to be posted long enough to even write a well researched response, thanks, all the best,

Have content of iTunes on both Appletvs but can only play on one. Tv menu won't let me choose both locations. How do I correct this? ITunes Home Sharing is on. Multiple Airplay is on from the iTunes menu, too. Thanks, Taking too long to get music!
If you have all your music on the cmputer then i would connect up my phone uncheck the Sync Music option and apply.
This should take all the music off your phone .Then you can resync the music back on to it.
If this doesn't work maybe a restore to factory settings and start from scratch is the way to go -

I was given an iPhone 4 from a friend and I was trying to reset it to factory settings but it won't let me. It's keeps popping up with a box to put in my friends iCloud account password in but I don't know it. How can i delete their iCloud account without knowing their password?
You cannot delete the iCloud account that is signed on to Find My iPhone unless you know the password. This is called the Activation Lock:
ACTIVATION LOCK
It is an anti-theft security measure that is a part of iOS 7. You can only get around this by following the steps in this support article:
Find My iPhone Activation Lock: Removing a device from a previous owner’s account
Contact your friend. This is the only way around the lock.

Help! Just did the Update (ML 10.8.4) after receiving a new HD since mine crashed last week and the shop didn't update it back to Mavricks which I had previously done...and now my Mac won't let me past the log in screen even with correct password entered. It just spins like I'm logging in and then goes back to the user log in screen. I did the process where I restarted and pressed control S and created a new user and password, but once created same issue and can't get passed that screen.

Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.
are you freaking kidding me Apple? I mean REALLY?!!!! who the heck designed this?!!! I want to know. I want his or her name and I want to sit down with them and have a long chat. and then I'd probably splash cold water on their face to wake them up.

My iPhone 5 won't let me use my apps until I connect them with iTunes after downloading ios7. There's just a thing that pops up and says that in order to activate banners and push notifications I have to connect the app with iTunes. The thing won't go away no matter how many times I push ok, and it doesn't give me another option. Solutions?
Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

have an ipod nano 4th generation. I let my grandson, who has a shuffle, connect his shuffle to my computer and now my itunes recognizes his shuffle and not my nano. How can I get rid of his shuffle and re-add my nano?

Although FireWire and USB connections will allow multiple iPod devices to be connected to the computer at the same time, iTunes for Windows works best with only one iPod connected at a time. If you plan to connect multiple iPod devices to the same computer, eject any iPod devices that you are not using from iTunes.

I have iphone4, on 'recent' call section, won't let me scroll; nor when i go to edit, to delete some phone calls, doesn't do anything; what do i need to do?
I have deleted some calls, single, in fact deleted 2 calls, then it won't let me do anymore; i have turned my phone off & tried again.

In iPHOTO I can highlight a photo to include in an email, but after I select the a photo, the "choose" box will not darken to let me choose that photo or any of my original photos to put them in an email or even to copy and paste them else where.
The only changes I have done is the original photos were taken with a different digital camera from the one I use currently. The newer digital cameras photos can be selected and emailed just fine. What is not being recognized by the iPHOTO programing as to not let me select (choose) to older photos taken by the older original digital camera?Thanks for the response to my query on emailing photos from iPHOTO. To answer your questions:
1. When I first connected my new digital camera to my iMAC and installed it's program from it disk, all went well and that program with Icons are currently on my desk top. When I down loaded pictures from this new camera into iPHOTO, I was asked if all pictures from this camera were to be down loaded into iPHOTO only, I answered yes.
2. I did nothing to the photos in iPHOTO, they are my original pictures setup in various groups and are not thumbnail copies of the originals.
3. And yes, I have tried to attach photos from iPHOTO directly into an email message in both Apple's MAIL program and even through my AOL service provider account to no avail. I get the same issues of not being able to choose older pictures for insertion in an email message, only newer pictures taken with the new camera.
4. I have even gone back into my external back files and restored older versions of iPHOTO and the same thing happens.
5. I have even thought of uninstalling the unused new camera's desk top files, but since there is nothing in these files and both my new and older cameras are Canon models, I can see no issues for removing the new camera files?
I hope this extra detail is lear to you and again tell for your assistants.

Skype won't let me join a group call
So I'm trying to join a group call and scype joins it to the point where i can see the prictures, but i can't hear anything, and then it just ckicks me out. I have tried deleting and ree-innstaling, running some scetchy cmd prompt **bleep** and allot of other things. Some forums say that i need to be friends with the hoster of the chat, and i am a friend with the original hoster, but i have no ide who has called up the chat this time. i have had this bug FOR MONTHS but just spam-joining has usually gotten me in the call.i have also seen other people complain about this problem and apparently it has been around for a long time. So apparently a problem that makes it so that you CAN'T USE THE PROGRAM HAS EXISTED FOR MONTHS AND NO REAL FIX HAS BEEN RELEASED; FOR **bleep**S SAKE SKYPE. Several of my friends also have had this problem, but as fgar as i know noone of them have reaced the stage where the program is unusable. BTW, i can still talk with other people on skype, but not the big grou chats. I have also tried downgrading, but apparently skype has removed all liks with downlaods to prevous versions so that if there is a bug that makes you UNABLE TO USE THE **bleep** PROGRAM you can't downgrade.
I might seem a bit angry, but it is summer, and i have been working for the past weeks, and i finally have a day off to chat with my friends and play games with them before i go back to work tommorom, but then i have to spen HOURS TRYING TO FIX A **bleep** BUG THAT THE SKYPE TEAM SHOULD HAVE FIXED MONTHS AGO.Ugh, I'm having the same issue. It's been going on for awhile. The group has about 13 members in it but 3 or 4 people usually join the group calls. When I try to join I see pictures as if I'm joining, but then I'm kicked out. Sometimes it takes someone from inside of the group to call me and add me in, but even then that doesn't work sometimes. It's incredibly irritating that this bug is still a thing. I hope you get your answer soon. As of now I have none. Still trying to find a solution.

Okay, so when signing in, it shows me the following error.

Hopefully, there will be something in one of these support articles that fixes the problem for you. Don't rule out resetting your router by unplugging it from power for about 30 seconds.
