Won't let me just listen to videos

I what I think is a Fifth Gen. Ipod (it's the one with video.) Anyway, in the iTunes guide it says that by adding your videos to a music playlist, you cna listen to the move without any visuals; just listen to the audio. I've tried everything I can think of, but it won't let me do that. I added the videos to a music playlist, went into that playlist, but the video wasn't on there! Here's the order on my computer:
You're Beautiful
X-Men (the video I want to listen to)
Smoke on the Water
^^That's excactly how it looks on my computer, but then when I unplug my iPod and go into the same playlist it loks like this:

X-men is gone! Can anyone help?

On your ipod go to Videos- video settings where it says TV out, click it to ask. Then, when you go to play your video, it will ask you TV on or TV off, select TV ON, and it will play with only sound and have a picture in the left corner.
When you do this you won't have to have a video playlist.

I saw that she left a voicemail and when I went to play it, the play but switches from pause back to play very quickly, which won't let the message play. i'm opening handbrake and browsing for my videos but when i select one for conversion handbrake tells me that it's not a valid title and won't let me open it, what should i do?

Handbrake is for ripping and converting DVDs.
If you want to convert an existing video file, try something like iSquint.

IMovie won't let me export iPhone 4s videos in HD

I have imported a video file from iPhone 4S to imovie. I can edit it in iMovie but when I try to export it won't let me do it in HD. It keeps creating a m4v file. Help.

After hours of searching through forums I have found the solution to our problem.
iPhone 4s video is automatically shot in HD. There is no way to turn this off.
In iMovie Version 9.0.4 iLife '11 you can set your project properties (File>Project Properties) to either either 16:9 widescreen or 4:3 standard.
Now HD is specifically widescreen and you can not create HD video in a 4:3 screen ratio. This is what my project was set to after spending over 16 hours working.
Once I change the ratio I was able to share and export my project in 720P and 1080P HD
You will have to tweak your project a little as when I went from 4:3 to 16:9 it cropped some of my video weird.
I hope this helped you as I am thoroughly relieved to have figured this out and slightly proud that I did it on my own.

Won't let me tilt to watch videos

Double tap the Home button. Scroll all the way to the left. Tap on the rotation lock icon (looks like a circular arrow) to unlock.

Itunes won't let me add any more videos for my ipod classic

I got a ipod classic (80gb) for christmas and I have now added 3.2 hours of video onto itunes which has been synced to my Ipod however itunes will now not let me add any more videos -even though I have added no music files on it as yet , could it be because all the videos I have downloaded myself and converted to mp4 via a internet program? could anybody help as my ipod is supose to play up to 100 hours of video files.

My laptop won't let me play audio or video when connected to my tv

I have an HP Pavilion G61-429WM and it used to work just fine when connected to my tv. Then a couple of weeks ago it just wouldn't play any of my downloaded movies. I went on Itunes and it wouldn't play the music. Then, I went to youtube and it wouldn't even let the video play although the sound did come from the laptop. Like I can surf the web and the prgrams and whatnot but whenever it comes to video and audio it kind of just freezes..Help??

I got a solution
First check out your performance settings and if u dont know where to find it just right click on my computer and enter to propreties then click on performance and tools, then if the gamming and desktop aero system are 1.0 then you have three solutions.
1) Install a new windows
2) check out your computer driver and install tge latest version
3) or simply you can download DRIVER PAC SOLUTION and install it then after installation is done you might wanna restart the system and check performance again then it should desplay NEW HARDWARE DETECT REFRESH NOW then click on refreah and the rating is gonna go up from1.0.to higher than 4.0.

It won't let me import my photos/videos from my cannon SD700 digital camera

It won't automatically try to import when I connect the camera.
It recognizes the camera is connected because I can select "Cannon Powershot SD700 IS"
If I click/select "Import All" or select an individual video I get
"Error downloading image"
"iphoto cannot import your photos because there was a problem downloading an image"
if I select one photo image I get the dialog box

I can look through the images on my camera ok though.
I just updated to iphoto 09 8.1 (415) just before I tried this import.

have you restarted you computer since the update? if not try it
as to a problem with the iPhoto 8.1 update - I've not seen this specific issue - there have been some (there always are - that is one reason that backing up before an update is important). If your problem is with 8.1 I certainly would not assume that all future updates will have the problem - in fact I would report the problem to apple ( iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback) and assume that the next update would fix the problem (if there is one)
Have you tried the card reader as TD suggested? Also you can try image capture (in your applications folder)

Premiere Pro won't let me drag an imported video from the Source window to my timeline

It sounds like you have not created a Sequence.
Be sure that your Sequence settings match your footage by doing this:
Or, right-click a media file and select 'New Sequence From Clip".

My Macbook pro won't let view any type of video online?

So I don't know much about the techical side of computers, so ill try and explain this as best I can. About 24hours ago my macbook pro stopped letting me into a program I use for University called Pebblepad (which is an online portfolio that I document my work in), I have since tried other sites such as youtube and other sites that have video footage on thier webpage such as facebook ect. and nothing I cannot view anything online.
I'm using Safari, also have firefox neither works, any suggestions?

Need Help - It won't let me just sign out without logging back in!

Every time I shut down or restart my mac, it forces me to log back in once I turn the computer back on. I can restart it, or shut down and it won't just restart without forcing me to log in. It never used to do that, it would just load back to the desktop right away. I never click 'log out' but it's still having me log in each time.
How do I make it so that it does not log out every time? I'm open to any suggestions thrown my way. It's gone from a mild annoyance to an inconvenience now, having to log in without ever having logged out in the first place.

Check that automatic login isn't disabled from either the Accounts or Security panes of System Preferences. An account protected by FileVault can't be logged into automatically.

I preordered an album but I already have 3 songs and It won't let me just preorder the whole album without the 3 songs i previously purchased

How can i just get the album without those songs in a preorder?

I'm assuming that the 3 tracks came from a different album? In which case, there is no way around this, as "Complete My Album" applies only to individual albums - if tracks are also available on other albums or compilations, and you already have those, it's irrelevant (it would be just the same if you buy a physical CD!)

Macbook pro won't download adobe and won't let me watch youtube videos

i just got a macbook pro for christmas and it won't let me watch any youtube videos. it tells me to get the latest adobe flash player. I've tried downloading it multiple times, but it still won't work.. Help!.

Hey there, the exact same thing happened to me last night except for not being able to download adobe. Just make sure your connected to the internet(I know you probably are) and try downloading. I don't have an answer as to why you may not be able to download anything but for what it's worth, if you get to download adobe - install adobe then I close everything, restart, then it will all work

IDVD won't let me drop quicktime to burn

I have used iDVD several times to make DVDs for clients, etc.
It won't let me drop any quicktime videos in the content portion. When I choose to add media content, it puts an exclamation point next to time and says unlinked file.

I have 40 Gigs and dragged from an external onto my Desktop. I have moved them around from a few drives. I tried to link from original source and still no luck.
I tried deleting the apple.plist file once too.
I read something about needing to revert back to iDVD 7.02 or something.
I can't figure out how to change the latest version to an older version, it talked about changing the contents and all that, but without a step by step, I was lost.

Apply the iDVD 7.0.3 update as usual (manual download).
Download the iDVD 7.0.2 update.
Mount the iDVD 7.0.2 update (iDVD_702.dmg), but don't open its installer package. Instead, open Terminal and copy the package archive to a temporary location: sudo cp "/Volumes/iDVD 7.0.2/iDVD_702.pkg/Contents/Archive.pax.gz" /tmp/iDVD702.pax.gz.
Unzip the archive copy (sudo gunzip /tmp/iDVD702.pax.gz) to produce the iDVD702.pax archive in /tmp.
Create a temporary folder and unarchive the pax file there:
$ sudo mkdir /tmp/iDVD702-update
$ cd /tmp/iDVD702-update
$ sudo pax -r -p e -f /tmp/iDVD702.pax
Now the iDVD 7.0.2 update pieces are in /tmp/iDVD702-update.
Copy the iDVD 7.0.2 executable to its proper place:
sudo ditto /tmp/iDVD702-update/Applications/iDVD.app/Contents/MacOS/iDVD /Applications/iDVD.app/Contents/MacOS/iDVD
