Why can't I sign into my iCloud account? Message appears 'cannot verify account, check email' ?

Check the email account that you used to set up iCloud for a verification email from Apple. (Check both your inbox and spam/junk folder.) You need to click the Verify Now link on this email in order to verify the account (see image below).

On my iPhone 4, the Facebook app won't let me sign on with my account. I can sign on to another account just fine. The first time I sign on with the FB app it goes to the news feed page, says loading, and then flipps between loading and connection error. If I close out of that and try to sign in again it locks up on the logging in page. From Safari or google it goes to the log in page, after entering my email and password it goes right back to the log in page. I have tried resetting my phone, deleting and re-installing the app and everything else I can think of. Since I can log onto another account on my phone it can't be the app, any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Mac won't let me Sign Out of iCloud to Change Email

I just changed my Apple ID email and password. On my Macbook (OSX 10.7.5) in System Preferences - iCloud it gives me a password input box with my old email, but won't let me sign out? Any suggestions? Already tried restarting.

I am having the same issue. Using Find my Mac.

MB Air won't let me sign in to iCloud from System Preferences. I reset Keychain Access and deleted Accounts plist. No problem signing in via web and on other Mac.

I've just been given an Air. I used Migration Assistant to transfer everything (which didn't work very well: no Contacts transferred and the Air Contacts application can't even open manually transferred Contacts Archive .vcf).
Trying to transfer contacts led me to iCloud - I thought I could copy them from there. Then I discovered that I can't sign in to iCloud via System Preferences. I get two error messages. The most common one is 'you cannot sign in at this time'. I've tried every solution on the web: I reinstalled Yosemite. I reset Keychain Access. I deleted Accounts plist.
The other message I occasionally get is 'This is a valid Apple ID but not an iCloud account'. It is: I'm logged on fine on my MBP, iPhone and iPad.

So - I have been having this same issue, and while it's not totally resolved for me, I have figured out what's causing it. I am running a machine with two hard drives and to keep my documents on a separate drive from the OS/Applications, I used the Advanced Option to specify the location of my home drive for my user account under "Users & Groups". I've found that if I reset this to the default path of /Macintosh HD/Users/{username}, that it works fine. However Apple has a bug in that this functionality breaks when you specify your own home directory. Hopefully, this will be addressed in an update.

I type in my username and password on the 'Sign in to your account' pop up, hit enter and then it just reloads the pop up again to re-enter it. Has done this over 10 times now. Very frustrating as I have gift vouchers I want to redeem
I am certain all the details I am entering are correct as I've used them to log in to the support community right now! It's just on iTunes....

What happens when you try? Error message?
Have you tried resetting the password?
Did you first sign out from Settings>iTunes and App stores?

IPhone 4 won't let me set up an iCloud account

My neice got a iPhone 4 handed down to her after my sister and younger sister had it and after I had set up an iCloud account on it now we can't set up an iCloud id on it when we try to it says that this device already has to many iCloud accounts on it how do we get it to set up her iCloud on her phone?
The phone isn't even a year old maybe 7 months

I found this work around for forcing the set up of a pop mail account on iphone 4.

Go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Safari not loading some pages - won't let me sign in to my accounts

In the last few weeks, Safari has significantly slowed down on my laptop, to the point where I'm using my AOL browser to sign into different accounts to pay bills, etc. (Unbelievable!) For some sites Safari works fine, i.e. my Outlook, but others, like Donors Choose or any of my bill-paying sites are being really slow (i.e. Verizon). I don't have Firefox (though I'm thinking of getting it). I have Safari 3.1.2, but I'm still on 10.4.11. Can anyone help? Oh, the usual message I get is: "server is not responding".

There are lists of things to try to speed safari in this forum.
Try a couple.
Clear the Safari cache
Trash the favicon file (~ library>safari>icons (This file, if it gets too full, will slow Safari).
As an aside, that is unbelievable that AOL's browser is faster!
Do you have at least 10% of your HD free? If not, that could cause Safari (and a lot of other things) to slow down.

The best approach would be to take the iPad to the school's IT person and see what is going wrong, why it will not accept your sign-in. That person can make sure the userid and password are correct on the iPad.

To change the iCloud ID on your phone, first save your photo stream photos to your camera roll (if not already there) by opening the my photo stream album, tapping Edit, tap the photo thumbnails, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the changed ID. This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your phone, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your phone when you sign back in.

My msn won't let me sign in

Hi everybody!!
Since Friday my msn won't let me sign in, I've clear the account history, Delete and reinstall the msn and nothing!
But when i go to somewhere else i can log in in msn, the problem is just in my house in my mac I have no proxy or firewall on, I have a destop pc and the msn works perfectly fine there. This thing is driving me crazy.. I google everything and nothing works. Thanks in advance

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. How come when I go to settings it won't let me click on iCloud or go to send & receive on messages because I get my moms and I don't like that it's weird also how do when I go to AppStore it won't let me sign out of an Apple ID then sign in to a different one

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:
