Won't let me sync a .jpg file

I am trying to sync a map that is in a .jpg format.
The error I am getting is that the iPad is unable to play the file and it won't transfer it.
The file is rather large. 9.55MB and 11927x4158 pixels.
What could the problem be?

From personal experience ... files that large are a problem for the iPad's somewhat limited resources to handle. I had tried to email a photo (.jpg - 6.8MB) to my iPad 1st generation this morning and open it.
It came over, I opened it, tried to make some adjustments in PhotoPad right on the iPad and the iPad crashed. I have also experienced this with spreadsheet files that were around 7 or 8 MB files.
I can't tell you exactly why it won't sync, but I have no success with files that large on my iPad.

You now need to get your pictures back! The similar to you, after I updated my iPad Mini, I can't get my some files on device. Please help me figure this out. I'm very unhappy at the moment. I'm fustrated and don't have any idea how to revert to the original version before the update was done on iMovie 10. I NEVER hated APPLE until NOW!! I love APPLE products and apps so please help me stay in that mindset. So I worked on some movie projects when I got my macbook pro 6 months ago. I update reguarly. I saw the update prompt and honestly, I did not think I would have ANY issuess with opening my previous files that I created only a few months ago with this updated version.The new updated version of iMovie 10 won't let me open my previous files I created before the update today. Last night I saw the file and tried to open it but no luck. Error message came up again. I reboot and turned off my laptop for the evening and tried again just now but nothing!! I need that video. My job depends on it! I worked so hard on this wedding video and now it's lost and won't open. I work another job and don't have much time. I really don't want to start all over again. I also have Jolly's problem. I found the iMovie 9.0.9 folder and tried to launch the older version of iMove. It would not launch. I removed all of the iMovie preferences from the Preferences folder, removed iMove 10 from the applications folder, and restarted my Mac. iMove 9.0.9 still won't launch and I can't access my videos created with the older version of iMovie. Is there a way to uninstall iMovie 10 and reinstall iMovie 9.0.9?
I am running Yosemitie on a iMac.

Not for free, no. Well I guess there is. Don't sync your phone. We don't, but then we only use it for talking and taking photos which you can transfer using even a pretty old computer.

You need iTunes on the computer. There is no iTunes for your phone. See:

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help
You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

If you're on windows try the following:
This worked for me an hour ago and has allowed me to sync ok. Still haven't tried downloading the new version 5 to the phone yet as I'm still backing up photos etc just in case.
1. Quit itunes
2. Start an elevated command prompt (Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> right click Command Prompt -> Run as Administrator)
3. Once in the command prompt type the following 3 words starting where your cursor is flashing: netsh winsock reset
4. press ENTER
5. Reboot your machine
6. Restart itunes & connect device to sync
7. Good luck

Went to calendar preferences and it won't let me sync cuz it says: Your mobileme suscr info is not correct or you did not turn on sync in mobile me prefs - well, my mobile me subscription must be ok, I'm in and out of it easily enough, checked the acct fields, and my other stuff is working fine. I did go to mobile me prefs and it is all set to sync, calendar is checked, it says the last sync was 15 min ago. Ak! What is up? I did just upgrade the mobile me calendar. Is that my problem?

There's no simple answer to that. My calendar goes back to 2004 and is moderately busy; it took around an hour. It's possible that you've hit a slow period on the server - it happens.

It doesn't say anything. It runs through the sync process like normal and tells me all of the songs that it's synking. But then when it says I can disconnect it, nothing actually synked.

Syncing music via iTunes is only one way: from iTunes to your iPod. If you need to copy the music from your iPod back to your PC, see this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different ways to do this.

Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.

I am only able to rename a duplicated .html file right after I create it, because the file name gets highlighted in the Title Bar, but after that there is no recourse. I I can Rename or Save the file if I want to just save it as a .txt, but I need it to be .html. I guess I can manually change the file later, but it's really annoying.

I remember long ago a similar issue with TextEdit, but I can't remember if there was a solution or not.
Do you have it set to Display HTML files as HTML code and also deselect "When Saving a File: Add ".txt" extension to plain text files"

I realize that when you connect your iPhone 5s to your computer, iTunes does not recognize it and you cannot sync.
