Won't let me uninstall

I tried uninstalling photoshop through control panel but it wont let me. At first it said, "runtime error" now it says nothing. i think this occurred because i was trying to uninstall it and my computer restarted in the middle of the process. Also, I tried screwing around with the coding and now i think i completely screwed it up. I need photoshop and i need it right now but i cant download it onto my computer anymore; i am very angry and i need help as soon as possible

i said photoshop and the tag says cs6 so i actually did......and i have windows/pc.
cant uninstall = cant reninstall until ininstalled so it's a never ending cycle of bs

How can I work around 1316 error that won't let me uninstall and then reinstall Elements 12

Elements 12 stopped working and the shortcut no longer finds the executable file. There does not appear to be a repair function on the installation CD. As a result, I have tried unsuccessfully to uninstall the program using Windows 7 64 bit uninstaller, Iobit Uninstaller, and Revo Pro Uninstaller. In each instance, I get the error "Error 1316. A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file c:\Windows\Adobe\Installer\Adobe Photoshop Elements 12.msi." As a test, I ran Iobit Uninstaller 3 as an administrator, but that was not successful either.Each time, the program rolls back when it detects the 1316 error. I can neither install or uninstall Photoshop Elements at this time.
How can I uninstall the program completely and then reinstall it either from my Elements 12 installation CD or from the same files on my hard drive?

first, head into your Add/Remove programs and uninstall your QuickTime. if it goes, good. if it doesn't, we'll just attend to it when we attend to itunes.

Firefox Sync won't let me uninstall add-ons

Apparently I don't understand how to uninstall add-ons across Firefox sync. I'm on Firefox version 29.0.1 and did not have a Sync account until version 29 came out. I use Sync across 5 computers, 3 at work and 2 at home. I'm trying to uninstall some add-ons on one computer at work (I want them uninstalled across all five computers), but as soon as I restart Firefox and it syncs up, the add-ons re-install. The other four computers are all powered on, but Firefox is not running on any of them at this time. All the information I have read from Mozilla support says Sync will allow me to install, enable, disable, and remove add-ons across all synced browsers, but so far that is not happening. Do I have to disconnect all five browsers, uninstall the add-ons, then re-sync them in order to get rid of them? Or do I have to go into 'options' and de-select 'add-ons' and uninstall the add-ons manually at every computer?

Re-sync is first and best method to get out from add-ons from a particullar device else for 2nd option you can do Manually but its a time taking procedure .

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Quicktime won't uninstall or won't let me download a new version.

My computer won't let me uninstall Quicktime, its saying the file is not found but it won't let me download a new version becuase its saying another version is on my computer. Please Help!

How do I uninstall (& reinstall) Firefox when WinXP won't let me?

Using Win XP. I want to uninstall and reinstall Firefox because of an unwanted search engine app. I first uninstalled Firefox maintenance. Now XP won't let me uninstall Firefox. The control panel quickly flashes a screen but won't proceed with the uninstall. I tried instantiating maintenance from within the folder on my C drive but no response. I suspect by removing the "maintenance" app I've tied my own hands. Thanks for your help.

Uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox may be ineffective in removing an unwanted search engine app. It depends rather on what it is you have that you are now trying to remove. Some of these search helpers etc install globally within Windows and will need to be removed from the Windows control panel once you identify them.
Whatever you do I strongly suggest you do NOT use any option from Windows or Firefox that offers to remove personal settings, because that is likely to destroy settings including bookmarks and passwords. (If you see the ResetFirefox option also do not use that, without first taking note of what it removes - all your extensions, and some settings)
Once any rogue software is uninstalled you will need to reset any Firefox settings that have been messed up, but there is an add-on that is often capable of accomplishing that easily.

Newbie here,hi. My 5th gen ipod decided to delete all my music? my laptop decided to delete all music i had too at same time,now it won't let me remove bonjour in order to re-enstate itunes and get all my musis back on ipod. Ipod working ok for radio etc.

Can anyone help with removing bonjour from my laptop so i can start again with itunes. All music gone from ipod,no idea why and itunes deleted all music from there too but won't let me uninstall bojour so cannot update itunes or even use it. When you get this fatal error uninstalling, try a full removal of iTunes and related programs with an installer clean up of any that do not uninstall cleanly:
Here is a method:
Download a fresh copy of iTunes and the stand alone version of Quicktime (the one without iTunes)

Download and install Microsoft Installer cleanup utility, there are instructions on the page as well as the download. Note that what you download is the installer not the program – you have to run it to install the program.

restart your PC
Install the stand alone Quicktime and check that it works.
If it does, install iTunes.

Quicktime 7.1.3 Won't Open or Uninstall

Just downloaded the new Quicktime and now it won't open or uninstall.
Any page I go to that uses QT says "an error occurred inside the plug-in on this page" and then "the plug-in did not initialize properly".
I only downloaded the new version because the sound was static-y on anything I watched with the old version.
Now I'm completely stuck.
Please be gentle with the big sticks, this is my first time.

okay. when folks get that as a "standalone" error message on an attempt at a QT install or uninstall, it's usually best to completely uninstall QuickTime and itunes (if you have it) from the PC and reinstall again from a blank slate.

ok so I'm attempting to update my iPhone 3G to the new 3.0 software and I CANNOT install new iTunes version 8.2.0.23 because as soon as installation begins it starts running the QuickTime install and says "A newer version of QuickTime is already installed. Okay. Let's try removing your existing QuickTime by other means than the "Uninstall a program" control panel.
Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility:

Now launch Windows Installer CleanUp ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"), find any QuickTime entries in the list of programs in CleanUp, select those entries, and click “remove”.
Next, we'll manually remove any leftover QuickTime program files:
(1) Open Local Disk (C:) in Computer or whichever disk programs are installed on.
(2) Open the Program Files folder.
(3) Right-click the QuickTime folder and select Delete and choose Yes when asked to confirm the deletion.
(4) Delete the QuickTime and QuicktimeVR files located in the C:\Windows\system32\ folder. Click Continue if Windows needs confirmation or permission to continue.
(5) Right-click on the Recycle Bin and on the shortcut menu, click Empty Recycle Bin.
(6) Restart your computer.
Now try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly now?

In my Program files list I see iTunes and iTunes (2) and even iPod and iPod (2) where a tech had to back up and do this for me before. I'm just trying to fix it all. Ok, thanks that helps. I don't have an external hard drive though. What about backing up through 'the cloud'? I'm just wondering since my husband syncs his iPod to the PC through iTunes and he's worried that he will lose all the songs on his iPod if the library is lost from iTunes and he tries to 'sync' it up again. I'm not exactly sure how to 'copy the entire iTunes folder' either. I kinda suck at this unless I have step by step instructions, which I haven't found yet on iTunes help or other sources.
The only way I know how to back anything up is by going back to a restore point, etc. (as stated before, we don't have an external hard drive.)
