Voicemail message doesn't pick up incoming call.
I have version 6.13 of Skype.
I call my number. The computer responds and I have the option to Accept or Decline. I let it ring. Skype then stops at 20 seconds and does nothing else. My phone keeps ringing and ringing and my voicemail doesn't pick up.
I call again. The computer responds and I have the option to Accept or Decline. I select Decline. Skype stops ringing. My phone keeps ringing and ringing and my voicemail doesn't pick up.
My voicemail is set up to answer after 20 seconds. It is also set up for voicemail to pick up if I am already in a call and/or if I reject an incoming call.
I use my phone for work and I need for voicemail to pick up, so I can call back and they don't think I am ignoring them!
I don't have call forwarding turned on or "follow me" configured (whatever that means).
Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated!I've been having the same problem for ages, but today finally resolved it.
Warning: I use a Mac, but could not find a thread for a Mac Skype community - so I hope what I did helps all of you who are having problems with Voice Mail.
This is what I did: I set my online status to ONLINE, which on the Mac is an icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen (normally I set my status to INVISIBLE when I'm online). I also made sure in my preferences that calls will be sent to voice mail. After setting my status to ONLINE, the voice mail picked up after 4 rings, just like it used to before all the "improvements" to the app.
I also found that my voice mail message was truncated at the beginning. When I re-recorded it, it took an extra moment for the record function to actually kick in, so I had to fuss with it for awhile before getting a satisfactory recording.
I hope this helps! -
Ringer doesn't work for incoming calls
My iPhone 4 ringer won't work for incoming calls. It is not on vibrate only and the ringer works through the earphones when earphones are connected. Any suggestions?
Thank you so very much.
. Simple yet perplexing.. I bought the waterproof case and had them put it on before leaving the store.. GRANTED, I never read the instructions.. Just knew it must have been something in the way I programmed the phone. I especially loved that you put up an illustration with your explanation.

Iphone 5: Incoming Calls won't go through.
Hello everyone,
I purchased the Iphone 5 about 1-2 weeks ago and so far i love it. However as of recently i've been expeirencing a few issues where incoming calls won't go through.
I'll try my best to break it down:
Someone calls me.
Phone "rings" on their side.
My iPhone doesn't ring.
I get no notification of a missed call, and maybe a few minutes later i'll be alerted to a missed call or a voicemail.
I've tested various things that i assume would cause the issue, but so far none of them seem to be the case.
I even went to Verizon (a few minutes ago actually) and they did a soft-reset (pretty much what i did prior) and soon as i got home i called the phone and nothing went through. I waited about a minute, called again, and then i rang. However seconds later i tried calling again, and it didn't ring.
Also it happens are random times. First insident was a few nights ago around 10 PM. Then again a few days ago around 3 PM and finally this morning around 8-8:30 AM.
No my "Do not disturb" isn't on.
I have good (if not great) connection.
At home the phone is always on WiFi
Yes i've tried turning off LTE.
Yes i've done a network reset.
Yes, phone is up to date.
One question i have is could it be only having this issue at my house? I have no way of testing if it only happens at my home (cause no one really has that kind of time to waste with me lol) so i'm not sure.I want to ensure those important calls get through Huxable! I understand why you are concerned!
My first recommendation would be to make sure you are power cycling the device(turning off and on) at least once a day. This allows the device to refresh with the network and update the tower information on 4G handsets.
Second, it will definitely be valuable to test the device in different locations to determine whether it is a location issue versus an equipment issue. If this happens in multiple locations for example, it is likely device related.
If you find the issues occur mainly inside your home, the network extender accessory is an excellent option to boost indoor signal strength.

For some reason my iPhone 4 won't take incoming calls and everytime someone phones me it goes straight to voicemail what's gone wrong??
Look at the AT&T VVM User Guide for help setting up your visual voice mail.
If you still have problems, contact AT&T Customer Service at 1-800-331-0500 and ask them to check that your account is provisioned for an iPhone 4. -
How can i lock my iphone in a way that i won't be able to receive any incoming call nor retreive its information?
In the phrase " i wanna be able to reveive the call without being able to answer nor see who is calling" what do you mean by able to receive the call but not be able to answer it or see who is calling?
I do not understanhow you can receive the call but not be able to answer or seee who called. If you do not answer it how can you receive it? -
After I dropped my Iphone 4s my back glass broke and now the screen won't turn on neither respond to touch but i can hear incoming calls and notifications. I tried pluggin to computer/other power sources and also tried pushing the home and power button together for about 20 seconds
It's broken due to neglect, namely being dropped. Replace it.

I´ve just changed my apple id password, and when trying to use Facetime, after having entered such new password, it won´t fullfill the calls, nor can I receive incoming calls, it simply gets disconnected. What do I do??

Is it possible to pick up an incoming call from an extension that is not physically ringing?
Is there a way to pick up an incoming call from an extension that is not physically ringing?
For example if an incoming call was ringing at EXT 1019 and they were away from their desk momentarily, could the call be picked up from another extension by pressing a number sequence or something?
we are using UC560. if you could tell in detail how it can be setup(config) and how it will work.Thank you in advance. Please rate helpful posts.

Here is the inof for the Call Manager Express.
Enabling Call Pickup
To enable Call Pickup features on SCCP or SIP phones, perform the following steps.
Prerequisites
•SIP phones require Cisco Unified CME 7.1 or a later version.
•The PickUp and GPickUp soft keys display by default on supported SCCP and SIP phones. If previously disabled, you must enable these soft keys with the softkeys idle command.
Restrictions
•SIP phones that do not support the PickUp and GpickUp soft keys must use feature access codes (FACs) to access these features.
•Different directory numbers with the same extension number must have the same Pickup configuration.
•A directory number can be assigned to only one pickup group.
•Pickup group numbers can vary in length, but must have unique leading digits. For example, if you configure group number 17, you cannot also configure group number 177. Otherwise a pickup in group 17 is always triggered before the user can enter the final 7 for 177.
•Calls from H.323 trunks are not supported on SIP phones.
SUMMARY STEPS
1. enable
2. configure terminal
3. telephony-service
4. service directed-pickup [gpickup]
5. fac {standard | custom pickup {direct | group | local} custom-fac}
6. exit
7. ephone-dn dn-tag [dual-line | octo-line]
or
voice register dn dn-tag
8. pickup-group group-number
9. pickup-call any-group
10. end
DETAILED STEPS
Command or Action
Purpose
Step 1
enable
Example:
Router> enable
Enables privileged EXEC mode.
•Enter your password if prompted.
Step 2
configure terminal
Example:
Router# configure terminal
Enters global configuration mode.
Step 3
telephony-service
Example:
Router(config)# telephony-service
Enters telephony-service configuration mode.
Step 4
service directed-pickup [gpickup]
Example:
Router(config-telephony)# service directed-pickup gpickup
Enables Directed Call Pickup and modifies the function of the GPickUp and PickUp soft keys.
•gpickup—(Optional) Enables using the GPickUp soft key to perform Directed Call Pickup on SCCP phones. This keyword is supported in Cisco Unified CME 7.1 and later versions.
•This command determines the specific soft keys used to access different Call Pickup features on SCCP and SIP phones. For a description, see the service directed-pickup command in the Cisco Unified CME Command Reference.
Step 5
fac {standard | custom pickup {direct | group | local} custom-fac}
Example:
Router(config-telephony)# fac custom pickup group #35
Enables standard FACs or creates a custom FAC or alias for Pickup features on SCCP and SIP phones.
•standard—Enables standard FACs for all phones. Standard FAC for Park Retrieval is **10.
•custom—Creates a custom FAC for a feature.
•custom-fac—User-defined code to dial using the keypad on an IP or analog phone. Custom FAC can be up to 256 characters and contain numbers 0 to 9 and * and #.
Step 6
exit
Example:
Router(config-telephony)# exit
Returns to privileged EXEC mode.
Step 7
ephone-dn dn-tag [dual-line | octo-line]
or
voice register dn dn-tag
Example:
Router(config)# ephone-dn 20 dual-line
or
Router(config)# voice register dn 20
Enters directory number configuration mode.
Step 8
pickup-group group-number
Example:
Router(config-ephone-dn)# pickup-group 30
or
Router(config-register-dn)# pickup-group 30
Creates a pickup group and assigns the directory number to the group.
•group-number—String of up to 32 characters. Group numbers can vary in length but must have unique leading digits. For example, if there is a group number 17, there cannot also be a group number 177.
•This command can also be configured in ephone-dn-template configuration mode and applied to one or more ephone-dns. The ephone-dn configuration has priority over the template configuration.
Step 9
pickup-call any-group
Example:
Router(config-ephone-dn)# pickup-call any-group
or
Router(config-register-dn)# pickup-call any-group
Enables a phone user to pickup ringing calls on any extension belonging to a pickup group by pressing the GPickUp soft key and asterisk (*).
•The ringing extension must be configured with a pickup group using the pickup-group command.
•If this command is not configured, the user can pickup calls in other groups by pressing the GPickUp soft key and dialing the pickup group number.
Step 10
end
Example:
Router(config-ephone-dn)# end
or
Router(config-register-dn)# end
Exits configuration mode.
Examples
The following example shows the Group Pickup and Local Group Pickup features enabled with the service directed-pickup gpickup command. Extension 1005 on phone 5 and extension 1006 on phone 6 are assigned to pickup group 1.

SIP incoming call, won't work (CME)
Hi all,
I'm facing a weird problem and the sip-provider can't help. I suppose there is a problem with the dial-peer/translation-rule but I can't figure it out...
There is a CME (c2800nm-ipvoice-mz.124-11.XW10.bin, CME Version 4.2(0)) with a
SIP trunk.
Outgoing calls are working (DID).
Incoming calls (all DID) are ringing on the same internal number.
The situation:
- external call on 0815440097 is ringing on the internal nr. 296 (should be 297)
- external call on 0815440096 is ringing on the internal nr. 296

Thanks,
NorbertHi Alex,
Thank you for the reply.
After changing the "incoming called-number" I got the same output.
The weird think is, why the dial-peer debug shows the 0815440096 number, despite the right "to: number" in the SIP-Message.
Is there a problem with the "voice service voip" or "sip-ua"?
on the voice translation debug I see:
Match Rule=DP_MATCH_TO_URI; URI=sip:0815440097
Match Rule=DP_MATCH_FROM_URI; URI=sip:0819262424
But I guess the translation rule is maching this one:
Match Rule=DP_MATCH_INCOMING_DNIS; Called Number=0815440096
So how can the voice translation rule be set to map the entry DP_MATCH_TO_URI; URI=sip:0815440097
Thanks for the help.
Regards,
Norbert

ISDN E1 PRI incoming calls busy out after 2nd b channel picks up
I have an ISDN E1 PRI line coming in from the Telco. D Channel comes up nicely and B channels accept calls, but only the first two calls. Once two callers are online, any further incoming calls get a busy tone. ISDN Debug data reports:
**ERROR**: call_incoming: Remote Protocol Error: No b channel assigned by switch, call id 0xCE
Hardware I'm using? Cisco 2650, 12.3(7T) and NM-HDV, VWIC-2MFT-E1-DI
Anybody please help?Problem sorted - believe it or not, it was the telco. They changed their switch setting for the line to preferrable B channel - and voila!
Thanks,

Just got the N95 so this might be finger problems or I might have missed a setting somewhere ....
When I get an incoming call it doesn't seem to tie it up with existing contacts. It simply shows the incoming number rather than contact name.
When I try to update the contact data using the incoming number I note that it's in national rather than international format i.e. not +44 etc. It looks as though it can't recognise that 014xxx is the same as +44 14xxx.
Is there any way to get the contact name appearing for an incoming call without having to change my entire contact book from international to national format? Is there some setting I've missed? There are 4 main reasons why caller recognition fails:
- duplicate phone numbers in contacts
Basically, the phone finds two (or more) possible contact names for the same number, doesn't know which to use, so sensibly opts for showing the number
Fixing this requires a laborious search through your contacts looking for duplicates. If you can't do this in Outlook or another PC tool, then you can use the latest version or the Search tool - just remember to search for PARTS of the number to get around formatting issues, ie: the fact that to the search facility 0208123456 is NOT the same as 0208 123 456.
- using the international dialing code instead of +
eg: 00442081234567 (wrong) instead of +442081234567
- brackets around 0 prefixes
If you synch with Outlook and add a country to the contacts address, Outlook changes your beautifully formatted number, +442081234567 into the absurd and un-usable +44 (0) 2081234567
- spaces in numbers
There have been reports of some phones having problems with spaces in numbers with recent firmware upgrades - suddenly phones have stopped recognising +44 208 123 4567 and will only recognise +442081234567. -
When people call my verizon iPhone5, they immediately here two quickly oscillating tones. I am not informed of any incoming calls, and no one gets to my voice mail. What should I try?
Hi kelsey0403,
If you're hearing static sounds on calls, I would recommend going through this article:

Handling incoming caller ID from legacy PBX
Hello,
At my company we're currently in the process of running Lync 2010 EV through a POC. Everything is working great at the moment except for incoming caller ID from the legacy PBX. When a call comes into Lync from the legacy PBX (either from a desk phone or
from outside the company), the legacy PBX replaces the actual 'from' number with the company's main number. Apparently this is due to the legacy PBX being old and masking the outbound caller ID information at a global level. (So basically ANY call that goes
outbound from the legacy PBX has the caller ID masked with the main number, no way to make exclusions. This has been verified by the vendor that services the legacy PBX.)
The problem this introduces on the Lync client is that in the address book everyone has the company's main number as their phone number, except with an extension at the end. So when a call comes in from the legacy PBX the Lync client quite literally randomly
picks someone from the address book and says the call is coming from the randomly picked person.
So far in my attempts to fix this, I've tried creating a contact in AD with a phone number of just the main number. This did not change anything from the Lync clients perspective, however when I miss a call that was sent from the legacy PBX, Outlook now
indicates that the missed call is from the contact object with the main number instead of saying I missed a call from some random person from the address book.
I've also looked into seeing if a MSPL script could intercept incoming audio requests and change the From parameter to something else if the From value was the main number. So far I haven't seen any examples of this, nor do I have a test environment to test
MSPL scripts in yet.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what can be done for the POC we're trying to do? Obviously if (more like 'when' really...) we decide to move everything over to Lync EV and pull the plug on the legacy PBX this won't be an issue, but right now I can't
even move forward with doing a POC outside of my team until I figure out something to do with the inbound caller ID.
Thanks,
CodyHow are you connected to the legacy PBX? It might be easier to put a modification in a gateway if you're using one.
Also, why Lync 2010 instead of 2013?
What do you have set for the lineURIs of the users? Is it the main number with extensions or a DID?

The current database is 2.5 gb, but it is already on SQL Server 2008, and doesn't need to be upgraded. In reading the documentation, it looks like the installer can install a fresh copy, which I'm assuming creates the requisite tables in the database

Firefox 3 did not do this. It started right after I downloaded Firefox 4. The problem does not seem to occur when the audio player is not running. (I use Windows XP)
