Won't Play Downloaded Album

Just downloaded album from iTunes. The songs will play when the nano is connected to the PC but when it's disconnected and I choose the album to play it just scans all the song titles and goes back to the playlist. It plays all other music on it, just not the new downloaded one.

I am having the same problem. I just bought a couple of white stipes albums at the itunes store. With one album, all songs play fine on Itunes, however, when loaded onto my ipod only 3 songs play from that album - my Ipod skips over the other tracks like there is nothing there. The other album plays fine on itunes and my ipod. I haven't had this happen before with any songs. Anyone have something that has worked to resolve this?

IPod Mini won't play downloaded songs/Do Not Disconnect

Recently, my ipod mini has been having some problems. If I leave my ipod mini idle for 2 days and the apple symbol appears when I turn it on, all the songs that ive downloaded from itunes wont play. When i attempt to play a downloaded song,it will boot me back to the main menu of the ipod mini. To fix this problem, i have to plug my ipod mini into the computer and then it will play downloaded songs again-until i leave it idle for 2 days. Also, when i plug my ipod mini into my computer, the do not disconnect screen on my ipod wont go away even after it says that the itunes update is complete on itunes. I end up having to disconnect the ipod when im not suppossed to. I have a feeling that these 2 problems are linked, and its becoming really annoying to have to plug my ipod mini into the computer in order to play downloaded songs because i dont listen to my ipod mini every day. If anyone can help me with this problem i would GREATLY appreciate it. Thanks- VRico

ok, this is a popular problem, i think the solution is before you download each song, listen to the full thing first, i think thats the solution! give it a try.

Some albums won't play entire album--just one song at a time.

I just downloaded the new version of iTunes. Now, on some albums, I can only play one song at a time. Any idea why some albums play through without a problem and others don't?

go to albums
select all albums
right click one (as this will be the same as right clicking all of them)
go to the bottom of the pop up munu
click "Check Selection"

G4 iMac won't play downloaded HD TV show. Is there a way to play SD?

I downloaded an HD version of one of my favorite TV shows and it came with the SD bundled version for my iPod. Unfortunately, the processor in my G$ iMac won't render the HD version on my computer. It freezes up. Is it possible to watch the SD version on my iTunes video window, or do I have to search for and download the SD version separately? If so, where do I find the SD versions?

I'd suggest not purchasing the HD version since you cannot watch it.

ITunes 11 won't play downloaded rented movie from iTunes Store

Last night I rented a HD movie from the iTunes Store. I downloaded it to iTunes 11 on my 17" MacBook Pro running OS X 10.8.2 and Quicktime 10.2.
First off the movie has a blank icon but when I click on it it does show the details of the movie. However, when I try to play it all I get is this message — "This movie requires QuickTime, which is not supported by this version of iTunes."
As far as I know everything on my computer is up to date so why is this message appearing? For the **** of it I tried the 32 bit trick but iTunes wont start under that!
I then tried playing movie on my Apple TV2 — I can see the movie in the Rentals section but here it is asking for me to Authorise my computer! When I do this on my computer I am told it is already authorised which I knew anyway!
This is most annoying!

I am having an identical issue but it is for a Movie I actually purchased from the iTunes Store (Casino Royale). I get the exact same error message in iTunes when I try and play it This movie requires QuickTime, which is not supported by this version of iTunes." and the artwork for the movie will not show up, even if I try and manually add artwork to the Movie myself.
My software is all up to date and I have tried deleting the movie and re-downloading it from iTunes a number of times. Still nothing.

Download freezes in iTunes on iPhone and won't finish downloading album

I purchased a full album on my iPhone today for the first time. Normally I purchase all music through my MacBook and transfer it to the iPhone as necessary. But today I got the whim to download a new album from my iPhone and it downloaded the first song without a problem. It seemed to download the second song without a problem but it's stuck on "Finishing..." and has been for several minutes now.

It's been a couple of hours since your post, did it ever clear?

N97 won't play downloaded or recorded videos!!

My n97 refuses to play videos. It says itll try playing them partially as it cannot play both sound and images??? And it just plays the sound without images.

3rd Gen Nano won't play certain albums

So I got a 3g Nano for Xmas, and transferred all my music that I wanted from my Linux laptop to the WinXP desktop I have, and loaded it all onto the iPod without any problems.
All but 3 albums play fine on the iPod, which happen to be my 3 favourite albums of my whole collection. The songs show up, and I can select them, but the song never plays past 00:00.
I've searched through a bunch of topics here, and looked at the "problematic music files" thing, and haven't found anything to help me. I've also unloaded and reloaded the songs onto the iPod, and it still doesn't help.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

The first thing that every iPod owner needs to know is how to restart your little MP3 player. Apple has a nice little tech note about restarting your iPod, and here's the gist of it:
Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

N73 won't play downloaded track

I've recently downloaded 1 music track as a WMA file and have transferred it to my N73. I updated the music library and it shows as 1 of my tracks but when I go to play it, it jumps to the next track.
I thought it might've needed to be converted so I tried to do that via Nokia Music Manager but it says it's "either already in the target format or unable to convert it". The two other tracks I have successfully got on to my phone were from a CD as M4A files.
Any ideas?

Didn't work. Have re-downloaded and tried again, to no avail. I have tried to sync with Windows Media Player and it doesn't list the device so I tried connecting in Media Player mode from N73 and my PC tries to find a new driver for it, asks me for the N73 cd and then fails to find the driver info.
Is this a pc issue, a Windows Media Player issue (version 11), Windows Vista or my phone? I have downloaded other material from Tesco with no problem.

My ipod won't play whole albums, just single songs

Every time that I get to the end of a track/podcast, it simply starts from the beginning, rather than moving onto the next item. What am I doing wrong?

Ipad 2 won't play videos after upgrade to ios5

Did the upgrade and I noticed no videos will play from my playlist.
Video's work fine on iTunes and my iPhone, but for some reason my iPad will only play the audio with a picture where the video should be.
Any one have a thought?

The same happened to me except it plays some of my music but not all (maybe 1/2). On the songs that won't play, the album artwork comes up and the status bar that indicates elapsed time moves as if the song is playing, but I get no sound. Other songs work fine. Also, the songs that don't play are a mix between songs loaded from my CD collection and songs purchased on iTunes. PLEASE HELP!!

ITunes 7 won't play un-checked files

iTunes 7.02 seems to have sorted out my problems - with the exception of one. ever since I upgraded to 7 iTunes won't (easily) play unchecked music (I have more music than will fit on my iPod).
From the 3 Genre/Artist/Album windows at the top - I just used to click the album name, and it would start playing. Now, since my upgrade to 7, it won;t play the album if its not ticked (for syncing to my iPod) - If I drag it onto the playlists - it still won't play.
The only way to play the whole album is to "select All" and then play - its really annoying.
Have I missed a setting in 7, or shall I just wait to 7.03????

First, make sure all the tracks of the album are checked. Turn shuffle off. Enable "Play playlist once". These are the 2nd & 3rd buttons on the bottom left.
Click the Browse button. Double click the album you wish to play. The album should play straight through.

Some of the albums in the Beatles package I downloaded from itunes will not sync with my iPhone 5. Some songs won't play. They did sync to my iPad and they all play on my iPad. What can I do? I've already deleted all songs from the iPhone and re-synced.

I downloaded the entire Beatles collection from iTunes in 2011. Some songs skip and won't play. Some albums won't sync to the phone but they sync to my iPad. I've deleted the entire music library from my iPhone, shut the phone down, turned the phone on and synced again to add the music but now 2 albums won't even sync (Rubber Soul and Revolver). I've tried dragging the songs to the iPhone, no luck. Any thoughts?

Sounds like you may need to re-download the entire albums from iTunes. See this KB article for how to download past purchases: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519.
I'd suggest doing it one album at a time. Delete one, download it from your purchase histor, then the next, etc.

1, you can't at the moment, though with iOS 5 in the Autumn, from http://www.apple.com/ios/ios5/features.html#photos :
Even organize your photos in albums — right on your device
2, by removing it from you synced from and re-syncing. Only photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad (either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view)
3, the location of the photos that you synced to the iPad should be listed on the iPad's Photos tab when connected to your computer's iTunes.
4, you can copy the photos from your iPad to your computer : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 . You should also be able to delete them from the iPad as part of the transfer process to your computer, and it's then your choice whether to add them to your sync photo list so as to copy them back to the iPad. Copying them to your computer would allow you to organise them into folders and therefore be able to sync them back into separate albums.
5, I don't use Dropbox either. There are some third-party browser apps in the iTunes App Store that allow you to download pages so that you can view them when offline e.g. Atomic Web (the whole page is saved within Atomic Web, it doesn't place a photo into the Photos app)
6, deleting content should help. If you remove an app from your iPad then you also remove the content that it's got on the iPad - so if you then decide to reinstall it back onto the iPad then you will need to manually add back any content that you want in it. None of the Apple built-in apps (including Photos) can be removed from the iPad

I paid for it so I'd really like to avoid paying again just to see this movie. Is it because it's on my iPhone? Whenever I try to click on the movie to make it play it just does nothing like it's not there. The file for the movie exists within my iTunes library files but I can't seem to click and drag it into iTunes or open it with iTunes. Need help.
