Won't Play Full Playlist

My Ipod nano (4th generation) will only play 3 songs in a playlist then it goes back to music screen. I bought this Ipod 1 week ago. Any help will be appreciated.

I am having this problem as well.
It seems that the songs on my playlist that I bought in the iTunes store will play as part of the playlist.
Songs that are in mp3 format (which are songs that I have "converted to mp3" from podcast files, using iTunes), will not play sequentially in the playlist.
If I select one of those mp3-format songs, it plays on its own just fine, but won't play as part of the playlist.
Is there something I can do to fix this? Thanks for advice.

I have reset Firefox, completed all the steps in "flash video won't play full screen on YouTube, Facebook and other websites". And the video still won't play in full screen. It will play, but frequently stops or sound continues and picture freezes. I have noticed that if I continually move my mouse, it plays fine. All these videos play fine in IE and Chrome.

Some problems with Flash video playback can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration in your Flash Player settings. (See [[Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems|this article]] for more information on using the Flash plugin in Firefox).
To disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player:
#Go to this [http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues Adobe Flash Player Help page].
#Right-click on the Flash Player logo on that page.

  • M3u files quit...won't play complete playlist

This just started happening. m3u files (from emusic.com) won't play all the tracks in a playlsit. I play these in quick time in a tabbed browser window. After a few 30 second samples play, there's silence. The files appear to be playing, but I don't hear anything. It quits in a different place each time, maybe after playing 5 tracks, or 8, or sometimes after just one.
I've been listening to samples for a few years this way with no problem before. I can listen to other audio like Pandora or Live365 for hours with no problems. No one else on eMusic seems to have this issue.
The only recent change to my system I've made was to start flip4Mac to view some video, but it's now uninstalled and I've restarted, etc. several times.
    Any clues?
    Paul

Ah, a response from someone at last! Not glad that you are having this problem too, though. Several eMusic subscribers have posted the same issue on their forums too, so I finally know it's not just my problem. Since m3u playlists from other sites besides eMusic also stop playing, I know it's not an eMusic issue.
You solution of pasting the url into QT didn't work at all for me: again the music appears to be playing, but I hear nothing.
    I've been using 2 workarounds:
    1. for Safari I installed M3U2iTunes (you'll have to do a search; you'll find it fast) which downloads the m3u file and then plays it in iTunes with no problems. The m3u file is also automatically put in the trash, so you won't have to be cleaning up your desktop of these files.
    2. Switch to Firefox with the Foxy Tunes add-on, and when you option-click the "play" or whatever button to get the m3u, the file plays right away. This Safari option is quicker to start than the M3UiTunes; there's no downloading of the m3u and placing it in iTunes. I'm not thrilled with keeping 2 browsers open, but for now, that looks like it's it. (But there are a lot of cool things you can do with Firefox.)

Actually, the Firefox Foxy Tunes does download and play with iTunes (or a different player of your choice) but it works fast, so it's almost seamless.

  • IPod Touch won't shuffle full playlist

    iPod Touch, 16GB, iOS 6.1.6
Problem: Selecting shuffle on a particular playlist (900 songs) results in a shuffle of only 174 songs. Playing the playlist directly (without shuffle) plays all 900 songs. Playing the playlist in iTunes (either as is or shuffle) plays all 900 songs.
Other playlists (ranging from 137 songs to 467 songs) play/shuffle all songs as expected on both iPod and iTunes.
    Troubleshooting:
    * Shut down iPod and restarted - no change.
    * Reviewed playlist, resync - no change.
    * Recreated playlist from scratch, reloaded - no change.
    * Checked shuffle selection - last song is different every time (in case a corrupted MP3 was killing the shuffle)

Found the problem - apparently, one of my kids set "skip when shuffling" on a bunch of Christmas music when using iTunes as background music this summer..*laugh*

Thank you so much for getting back to me.
I've looked through the code and couldn't find any path problems as I put everything in a single folder and ftped the whole folder up.  I'm missing something though.  It works well on my home machine Off a jump drive and off the hard drive.  When I go to load it up at school it doesn't play on my school machine or after I load it up on their server.  I had an idea that I wonder if my school machine has some type of blocker on it that's not letting it play off the jump drive (which works fine on my home machine).  I've loaded it up on the server and will check it tonight on my home machine to see If its some sort of school blocking thing.  Other than that I'm stumped.

  • Ipod alarm won't play from playlists

So, I just recieved a brand new ipod from apple because my battery was not holding a charge. I cannot get the alarm to play from a playlist. The only option under sound is beep and that would never get me up. Any thoughts?

I know this is a silly question, but do you have a playlist on your iPod that you can select?
Otherwise the only option is the 'beep'.

  • CD won't hold full playlist

I'm burning a CD to use in my car.  I created a Playlist in iTunes and it says that the songs equal 495 MBs.  I have a blank CD marked as 700 MB...but when I try and burn the playlist to the CD, it says there isn't enough room on the CD?  Maybe this is an obvious answer, but I can't figure it out...why can't the 700 MB CD hold 495 MB of tunes?

Your music may be in a compressed format (mp3, AAC, ALAC). Standard audio CD format uncompresses the music and that makes it take up more room than you have on the CD.  Check your music format. Some newer players can play mp3 CDs.  Older ones just do audio format and you'll have to burn your playlist to multiple CDs or just make it shorter.

  • You Tube won't play full screen on Chrome

When I select full screen, the window stays same size, but moves to top left of the screen. I go into settings and my Hardware Accelaration option has gone, it used to be here...This only happens in YouTube, other videos on different sites I can select full screen no problem, though the Hardware accelaration option has gone there too. Now I only have 4 options to choose from in Local Settings. It's also gone from Global Settings.
I've tried clearing caches etc..no joy. It does work fine on IE9 for me, but I've always used Chrome & GMail, and don't wish to stop.
I'm using Windows Vista Business SP2 32 bit, my browser is Google Chrome Version 26.0.1410.64 my Flash version is 11.7.700.179, which is the correct version for my browser and O/S and is up to date. Windows, Chrome and Flash updates are all current.
I've been on forums, I've enabled/disabled plug ins, I've cleared and deleted caches and Adobe files, and it's now getting annoying.
I realise there has been an update recently, but I don't want to start messing about uninstalling and digging out earlier versions etc...Isn't it all meant to be incorporated into Chrome and updated automatically so users can avoid doing these sorts of things.
If anybody can help, I'd be grateful. If you need to know anything else, please ask.
    Thanks,
    Martin

    Ok I got it fixed.
Let me give you guys some info.
    Win7 Ultimate 32bit
    Google Chrome Version 26.0.1410.64 m
    Had this pugin installed
    Name:
    Shockwave Flash
    Description:
    Shockwave Flash 11.7 r700
    Version:
    11.7.700.202
    Location:
    C:\Users\Cbu\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\PepperFlash\11.7.700.202\pepflashplayer.dll
    Type:
    PPAPI (out-of-process)
The problem only occurs on a few youtube videos. not all.
    Giving an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHxUNaN4Qws
I fixed this by downloading the same version but for firefox (NPAPI one)
    And disable the PPAPI one.
Refresh the youtube page. And it works.
Next I updated my Google Chrome, to
    Version 27.0.1453.94 m.
    Restarted the brower as prompted.
Then I disabled the NPAPI one and enabled the PPAPI one.
Refresh the youtube page. And it works too.
In summary, if you are having this issue. Try update your google chrome. If cannot then try the flashplayer for firefox.

  • When I try to import songs/playlists to my iPhone 6, grey spotted circle shows up next to most songs and they won't play. Help

I just set up my iPhone 6. I made a full backup from my 5 to iTunes. Everything was backed up and transferred except any of my music. Simple enough to do it manually, I thought and tried. But when I transfer a playlist from iTunes to the iPhone most songs show up in light grey with a dotted circle next to them once they are on the iPhone list and they won't play.
There are lots of threats about grey dotted circles from the past. Does anybody know what the issue is? I have the newest iTunes version and IOS version (8.02) for the 6. Why is this happening and how can this be fixed? This is all my music on my mac and most of it was on my previous iPhone 5, so why won't it play on the 6?
    Thanks!

    OK,
I was asking a little fast. It did indeed not work for a little while (up to 20 minutes) but once I started chatting with apple support it started resolving itself. The grey dotted circles mean two things. 1) the computer was taking some time to transfer the songs onto the phone (quite some time for some songs) but then they appeared on my phone. and 2) those songs I purchased, I can listen to on my phone and my imac, but they will remain unable to play (grey dotted circle) when I look at them on iTunes in my iphone playlist. So, I can play it on regular itunes or on my iphone, but not in my iphone folder on itunes. I hope that makes sense.
So problem got resolved for me. I hope this helps.

  • My .MP4 video file won't "play video full screen" in Muse after I publish my .OAM out of Edge Animate.

My .MP4 video file won't "play video full screen" in Muse after I publish my .OAM out of Edge Animate.  When I "Preview In Browser" through Edge it plays (I have created a shape and used the "play video full screen" snippet)  in full screen mode just fine.  When I "Preview Site In Browser" through Muse and click on the shape to PLAY VIDEO FULL SCREEN, it does nothing.  I am new to both programs and can't figure out why it will work out of the preview window in Edge and won't work when I publish to Muse.  Does anybody have an answer or a work-around for me?

How can I download a previously downloaded purchase to my iTunes library on my laptop when the listing for the song in my library won't play because it says it cannot locate the file. Yes I have searched my iTunes folders and also done a full windows search. The track plays on my iPad and my iPhones but will not play on my laptop!?
It has an "!" To the left of the song title in my library
My worry is that if I sync my iPad/iPhone then I will lose the track on those also!

If you cannot find the file on your hard drive then once you delete the current broken entry you should be able to redownload from iTunes in the Cloud. This assumes the item in question qualifies. Note that audiobooks, digital booklets, iTunes LPs & Extras, ringtones, selected movies etc. don't.
If prompted don't hide the item. You may find that you need to close and then reopen iTunes before it will appear for download.

  • Playlists won't play more than one song at a time

    Hi
I have setup some play lists, some play all the songs, others will only play one song then stop and I have to manually go to the next song. I don't understand and it's driving me mad! I read through some old posts on this and made sure that the check boxes next to my songs are ticked. I have also made sure that the shuffle & 'play playlist' icons are in blue. Is there anything else I can try? Please, please help!
    Gemma

Besides the checkboxes next to songs, you might want to check the songs themselves with the Get Info command and make sure the "Skip When Shuffling" option it turned off. If your playlist is set to shuffle and your songs say skip when shuffling, then they won't play.
Also, are these new playlists? Or are they playlists that were ok before but now (after upgrading to iTunes 7.6?) act differently?

I had the same problem for about 2 weeks and just fixed it tonight! YEAH!! I followed the 5R's and the first 4 did nothing. So, I wasn't very hopeful for the 5th, but I made a back up of my library just in case, downloaded the latest version of iTunes and RESTORED my iPod back to the factory settings and it works beautifully now. No skipping on any songs at all. And, mine didn't matter if they my songs or iTunes songs, it did it to any song that it didn't like. Good luck!

  • When listening to music on ATV, it plays two songs from the playlist, then won't play any more.  You can see playlist and songs, but won't respond.  Any ideas?

When listening to music on ATV, it will play two songs from the playlist, then no more.  You can see the playlist on songs, but it won't play.  Turned everything off, reset the network...nothing works.  Any ideas?  It used to play fine...for hours at a time.

    Hi.  Thanks for your reply.
It is happening via "shuffle" in a playlist.  Always two different songs within the playlist.  You can see the next song on the screen that should, theoretically, be playing...but nothing happens.  Even when you push "play" on the remote, it doesn't receive the command.
I reset, then restored ATV.  Now, it doesn't limit itself to two songs, but does stop after a few.  The more trial and error I do, the more I believe the problem is with Homesharing in iTunes.  If I turn off Homeshare, then turn it back on, a couple more songs will play in the playlist.  I have shut down iTunes, restarted computer, completed updates, but nothing seems to change it.
It used to play fine for hours on end, but has now found this glitch.

You will need to locate where you itunes library is and then relink one of the songs, itunes will do the rest. So if your itunes library is on an external hard drive or something like that. When you get the error message click yes you would like to locate it. then navigate to the external hard drive where the itunes libray is and locate that particular song. Once you have linked one, itunes will ask if you would like it to locate the rest, click yes and it will find the rest of the files if they are in the same location.
