Won't play multiple videos on one page. Ignores POSTER FRAME.

Three questions really. I have iweb '09, the latest everything, blah blah....
1) I just update my iweb page and it's now showing my URL twice, in the URL--any thoughts.
2) Also, I have three quick-time movies on one page and only the top will play. Why don't the other two play?
3) I've taken "auto play" off and the poster frame I set won't work either. Anyone know why it's ignoring poster frames I set?

Two of your files are .mpg (MPEG-1) and the other is a .mov file but does not display in my browser.
No poster frames for MPEG-1 formats.
http://www.pulseproductions.org/pulseproductions.org/Media/Dance-H.264%20800Kbps .mov is the location of that file but it doesn't work from your server unless manually linked (like I did above).
Your server doesn't like "spaces" in your file names. Try renaming your files to remove them.

Multiple videos on one page - need to keep all visible once played

Firstly, I'll admit that I'm a novice as far as DPS goes...the app I'm working on is only my second attempt. I've managed to put the bones of it together, but I'm having problems with some video files.
I only realised today that you can't use InDesign's animation facility as it uses Flash (this app's for the iPad).
This is what I need to achieve: on one page, there are numbers 1, 2 and 3, running vertically. These are buttons. When each button is pressed, I want a line of text to fade in next to it.
I couldn't get this to work with an image sequence so I've created three movies. I dropped the first one in and it faded in fine when button one was pressed.
The problem is - when I press button 2, the text (movie) next to button one disappears. Is there any way to keep all three movies showing their last frame at once?
Sorry this is a bit long-winded....hope you can help people!

I would rather use MSOs to get the effect you describe.
For each button a 2-state MSO would do the job perfectly.

Multiple videos on one page

so i have created a website (which i haven't posted yet) in iweb- my question concerns video on iweb. on one page i have 5 videos that range from 20MB to 60MB, i would like these videos to download without a lot of wait time. curious what the wait time for this page would be? and also, would it be better to create a picture and then a hyperlink to each video? would that be faster? would preferably like to have multiple videos play on the page rather than hyperlinking to another page, but from what i've read, it sounds like it takes a while to download a page like that. also, i am not going to use mobileme, most likely godaddy.

I just learned from toad yesterday...and I was where you were. I was afraid to try the code thing. But I kept pushing till I figured it out.
I also publish with GoDaddy. They are very Mac friendly.
My suggestion is that you upload your video file to Godaddy first. I used Cyberduck (free). When you get Cyberduck up and your file uploaded to the server, look (navigate) on the Cyberduck interface to the video file you have created the button for.
Then, go to "Get Info" in the pulldown menu. You will see the URL that GoDaddy has assigned to the video (basically the Directory/Path).
This is the info you want to put in the code part on iWeb where (in red) you replace the template text.
To help you understand what Toad has published in red:
1. the first red is where the URL path from the Cyberduck info goes.
2. the second reds are the size of the Video you want to display. I find that 640x480 works very well.
3. the last red is what your button will say: replace with "Click to Play"
BIG HINT: Get Quicktime Pro. That interface will allow you to save your vide as a "Fast Start" video for uploading. I think this is Apple's equivalent of Flash.
Once you get your stuff in place you will probably have to have a few phone sessions with Tech support at GDaddy. They can spot your mistakes and help get you up.
Good Luck. This was all new to me and very intimidating - but 48 hours later I was able to have it all working.
I even got it working on Network Solutions - but it was much more of a headache.
For large video files, though, NetSol will let you put your videos on a Streaming Server for faster and more reliable service. Problem is that server only works with RealMedia and Windows Media Player...and who wants to convert all their QT files.

Multiple photos in one page for posting in FB

Does anybody know how to put four pics together, save them and be able to upload them in FB? I know that this can be done under PRINT, but I can only go as far as putting them together. I dont know how to save the end document, and be able to upload it as one pic in FB. Id appreciate your help!Thanks!

From print you select print to jpg
After making all you selections and layout in the print module. Then print it to a selected location and upload from there. If you use the same layout a lot save it as a template.
You can also import the printed jpg into LR and use the built in Facebook service to upload.

Snow Leopard iTunes 10.5 will not play multiple video tracks in QuickTime .MOV files

I recently discovered that Snow Leopard iTunes version 10.5 won't play multiple video tracks in a QuickTime .MOV file.
Both video tracks appear and play correctly when playing the file in:
- QuickTime Player 10 or QuickTime Player 7.7 on the same Snow Leopard machine
- iTunes 10.3.1 on another Snow Leopard machine
- iTunes 10.5 on Leopard or Windows 7
So I think the problem is iTunes 10.5 on Snow Leopard (although I haven't been able to test iTunes 10.4).
First test file is two 640x480 video tracks side-by-side (total dimensions 1280x480):

All I see is the first (left) video track, and not the right one. iTunes "Get Info" command incorrectly reports the video dimensions of the file as 640x480.
Second test file is two 640x480 video tracks played one after another (duration of 10 seconds each):

All I see is the first video track, and although it reports the correct file duration (20 seconds), the second video track never appears -- it simply freezes on the final frame of the first video track for the last 10 seconds.
Anyone else see similar behavior? Unless I'm missing something, I suppose I should submit this as a bug to Apple.

How can I get more than one HTML5 video on one page? When I tried to place 4 3-sec videos with autoplay and looping, only the first one plays.

Unfortunately you cannot, as most browsers use an "exclusive OR" code for playing videos, which means that only one will play at a time. The reason for this is that if they did not do so you could have multiple soundtracks playing at the same time.
There are 3rd party players that will do this though, (sorry cannot recommend any specific player, but try a search).

I have windows 8.1 and firefox won't play youtube videos but IE will. I have tried reinstalling firefox, flash, java. Resetting firefox don't help, disabled hardware acceleration, protected mode 0 in the mms.cfg file. Nothing will play on youtube in firefox. It says "an error has occured, please try again later". The ads play fine though. Everything plays fine in IE. I have tried different versions of flash also with no luck. I even restored the system to a previous iso image with no luck. Does anyone have a solution?

It maybe because your javascript is disabled .
You can check the javascript.enabled pref on the about:config page.

ITunes won't play quicktime videos on Mac anymore.

MacBook Pro 2.6Ghz 4GB ram
iTunes won't play my video anymore and it's been a while I'm not sure when it occured if it's after an update to snow leopard or iTunes updates...
When I double click a video I get "This movie requires QuickTime, which is not supported by this version of iTunes." ??
...and cannot convert the option doesn't work I get this other message when trying to convert a version for APPLE TV in advanced menu "None of the selected files were converted because they could not be found."??
But the movies are quicktime movies in my library and the MPEG-4 plays in iTunes but not on APPLE TV.
From all my videos I get one only going through APPLE TV and when I try opening it it says error occured why opening and never works??
It seems APPLE is regularly messing things up in updates to loose people so they have to pay for tech support, I didn't upgrade to iPhoto 11 and cannot import anything anymore into it so my entire library is a dead one ; not a cool way to do business than messing people software so they have to buy newer versions!!!
Any specialists that know how to fix this ??

The 32-bit solution has never, I repeat, never worked for me. I've even done a full reinstall on a clean drive of OSX Lion with a fresh install of iTunes downloading a video of "The Big Bang Theory" that just came out this last thursday and still get the error (just finished the full reinstall to a clean drive now and, no, I didn't do any backup restores.)
The only solution I've found is to remove the video from iTunes, without deleting the file, then import the file back into iTunes.
Switching to 32-bit iTunes to run the file causes iTunes to tell me it needs to open iTunes to play the file then it sits and waits for itself to open until I cancel the process. The video then plays without audio.
I have noticed that I can stream the files to my Apple TV to play even while getting the error trying to play them on the computer I downloaded the files onto.
As a result of this error, I've had to reduce the amount of content I purchase from iTunes. no more buying whole seasons at a time unless I do it at the start of the season. Even then, I'm reconsidering it. The amount of work required to get the files into a playable status on the computer is simply too great on an on-going basis.

Add to Multiple Tables from One Page

I am building an application that handles hardware inventory (APEX 4.0). I have an input page that adds data to two or more tables all at once. The page has two forms on it that point to two separate tables. However when I try to run the page, it fails and returns an error:
ORA-06550: line 1, column 437: PL/SQL: ORA-00904: "ORH_LAST_UPDATE_DATE": invalid identifier ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PL/SQL: SQL Statement ignored
     Error      Unable to process row of table IDD_ID_DATA.
So far as i can see within the App, that column is not at issue (I am not even doing anything to it and it is nullable). I have looked into the App itself as well as doing some online research but have found nothing helpful...
So my question is this: Is it possible to add to multiple tables from one page? If so how do I do it?
I am new to APEX so any help would be greatly appreciated!

I received an email from the APEX Support Team:
"The simple answer is that you will need to manually code the DML (and query) processes if you wish to maintain multiple tables from one page (There is a limit of one table when using the built-in processes).
In order to do this I suggest you delete the processes generated by the wizards and create PL/SQL processes with insert, update, delete statements as necessary. Such coding is not difficult but is more time consuming than when you can use built-in processes."
I have been playing around with PL/SQL code and the end result is this:
begin
     INSERT INTO table1
     VALUES(
          :P2_Item_Field1,
          :P2_Item_Field2);
     INSERT INTO table2
     VALUES(
          :P2_Item_Field1,
          :P2_Item_Field2);
end;
I used this code in a custom PL/SQL Process in the Processing>Processes section of Page Processing and it seems to work fine now. The only downside to this method is if the name of a Page Item is changed the code will also have to be changed. Other than that i have had no problems.

Hey guys, here's my problem.
I had some major issues with OSX last week that a trip to the Apple Store couldn't fix. Their only advice was to save all my pictures, music, documents, etc. and reformat. I did that yesterday. I reinstalled everything and then downloaded all the most recent updates.
Today, I can play all the music I own in iTunes (music imported from CDs, bought from other sites, and music bought from iTunes itself). However, it won't play any of the music videos I have (all bought off iTunes).
I have authorized the computer again and again. When I try to open the videos in Quicktime it tells me that I don't have permission to play them and that I need to authorize the computer.
I'm lost. Any help?

Yup, this Audio but no Video WAS exactly the same trouble I was having, on my MacBook and iMac but not the other 2 MacBooks. This was due to the speaker settings at the bottom right hand corner of the iTunes window. I do use multiple speakers via Airtunes, on the two that were having trouble but not the other two, and although the speakers were only set to the computer it still wouldn't play the video content.
Whilst the audio (of the music video) was playing I then went to reselect multiple speakers, which brought up the "*failure to connect to remote speakers network refused connection*" warning, then I unchecked the remote speakers to leave just the "Computer" and hey presto the video came to life.

In Macintosh HD/Library/Quicktime/ delete any files relating to DivX (Perian already has them), particularly any DivX extension to Safari. However it should be noted that Perian is not an internet plugin and will not play DivX files imbedded on a website. Multiple Movies on one page.

Hello All.
I a doing a keynote presentation which will be fairly interactive. The plan is to show some of our work off on one page, so maybe 6 videos on one page.
I have got it so they they start individually a click each time and i have made it so i can use the mouse but I don't want them to play in a particular order I will be showing people in small groups and showing them what's more suited to them.
So what I want to do is be able to have it so I can just use the mouse and go to any movie and play it, at the moment i have to let it play by the one click method to get the controls to do anything with it and so they have to play in order.
I have look everywhere so any help at all will be helpful!

If you place a Button or Click Box object on the slide it should stay put until the user clicks it. (Well, it will as long as you configure the Slidelet as "Click to stick".)

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken tracks only from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If you don't see them straight away it may help to restart iTunes. While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

I want to play multiple speakers off one Airport. is that possible?

I have an Airport express in my living room, but i want to have wireless music in my kitchen and bedroom. Would i need to buy an amplifier and connect it to the airport or can i play multiple speakers off one Airport OR should i buy multiple Airport's to achieve this?

You can either use multiple AirPorts or use an audio system that pipes music to speakers throughout the house.
