My GB won't show any live vocals or live instruments tracks. I can hear them, but cannot see them and I can't scroll downwards to view them.

Yes. But I solved the problem. For some reason all the live recording tracks would not show. I created a new "live" track and suddenly they all appeared. Some wierd glitch.

I record multiple tracks (3-5) from real instruments and vocals. I want to send these files to a collaborator to add more tracks to, but Garageband wants to mix these down (which I don't want). How can I send the multiple tracks files to my friend?

I record multiple tracks of real instruments and vocals wth Garage Band. I want to share the file with a collaborator so he can add another instrument or two. I have not found a way to do this without the process mixing down the tracks. I don't want them mixed down like when I send them to Itunes. Also I can't seem to just attach a file directly to an email for sending purposes. I thought I saw a method to do this with software instruments, but how do you do it with real instruments? I've tried every process on the "export" list to try to accomplish this, without success. Thanks for any breakthrough advice on this!

As isteveus said - for large projects uploading to a server would be best.

But for completeness's sake , you cou can mail a project, if you ctrl-click the project and use "Compress xxx.band". This will compress the project and create a zip file, that you can mail (if it is not too large). But ask your friend for the maximal file size allowed as a mail attachment.
But whichever method you use to share your project, be sure you include all loops and instruments, if your friend does not have the same JamPacks installed. You can bundle the loops into the project by saving it as an archive. "File > Save as" and check the "Archive Project" option.
If this option should be disabled, you can force it to become active by editing your project slightly. It is only available, if the project needs saving.

I Just found it on the apple site, it arrived on a cd a few days later and worked just fine again.
i would recommend backing everything up just in case. Better safe than sorry, trust me. I've lost so much when i didnt back up once when re-installing the system.

A couple of other things you might like to try :-
- Determine whether you are able to access the internet from anywhere else on your new PC (e.g. do Windows updates download ? Can you access the Windows 8 store ? ) If the answer is no, then your problem doesn't lie with IE but with the actual wireless connection. If the answer is yes, then continue as below.
- Run IE from the desktop instead of the Start screen - probably won't make any difference, but worth a try.
- Download a decent browser like Firefox or Chrome and try that - this will show whether the problem lies just with IE or not
- As a general rule, don't do anything that PC World tell you to do, lol !
As gg30340 says, this does sound very much like it MAY be a problem with firewall settings - if you're running Norton Antivirus then I believe that will be providing the firewall service, rather than the inbuilt Windows firewall.
One thing you don't need to worry about - Windows 8 is a perfectly good OS and works just as well as Windows 7 did. I'm using it now !

Make sure that it is connected to a USB 2.0 port and not a USB 1.1 as 1.1 will not provide power for connectivity.
Try it in a different USB port and see if it works

Have you tried removing them temporarily?
Do you still have problems if you create a new Windows user account and log in with that? How about if you start in Safe Mode?

Apple TV 3 won't show any networks

I have a Apple TV 3 and a IMAC and a Macbook pro and a Apple wireless router…I can connect using my iPhone,iPad and all the computers with no issues but the AT3 will not stay connected, it will either be connected and work for 5-20 mins and stream just fine and then lose connection and then I go to network and Wi-FI and it will not show any networks at all. I've done all the steps as far as a reset of the AT3 and a restart of the AT3 also a restart of the apple router along with the cable modem. It worked perfectly fine with no issues on 28th of August 2014 and I went away for the weekend and came home to a non working device. I'm losing faith in my AP3 I may have to change to a amazon fire box instead. I hope it's something simple, I haven't updated anything and everything is up to date my airport utility and my apple tv 3.

Thimble won't show any details on my "broken" code - I can't figure out the problem.

You should be able to get to it whenever you hook up your Ipod. Go to Options on your Ipod whenever you update it next, and tell it to update all your songs, instead of those you just added. That should fix it.
But if that doesn't fix it, I think there might be a button that says to update artwork every time you update your Ipod.

I have an elderly application (PB/PG for Linux) that builds and runs fine on other distros than ArchLinux (AL). When I build it on AL it builds fine, meaning that the include files and the library are found. When I run the program it does not show any output on the screen and it will not accept keyboard input.
I must admit that I am somewhat at a loss as to what could be wrong, so any help will be much appreciated.
Have any of you experienced this (or a similar) problem? And how did you solve it?

EDIT 2007-12-04: The root cause of this problem had nothing to do with Ncurses whatsoever. I have found another tree to bark up. Sorry for the inconvenience.

So rather quick addition.
I just played with the AccelMethod option in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf and found that this only occurs when it is set to "uxe" or "glamor" changing the setting to "sna" does not result in this problem.
I had originally changed this setting from sna due to font rendering issues. I'll leave it as sna for now and see if those same issues still exist.
Marked solved, but may not a good solution if font issues with sna are still present.

I grasp that you uninstalled the Intel graphic driver and the catalyst control. You reinstalled the Intel driver and now you can view and hear videos on the Internet but you are unable to set the resolution as high as previously.
When I checked the specifications for your notebook I see that you have switchable graphics.
Here are two links that I believe will help.

Please try this process.
1. Download the chipset driver, and both graphic drivers and save them but do not install them yet
2, Delete the chipset driver and install the updated one.
3. restart your notebook
4.Delete the Intel driver and install the updated one
5. restart your notebook
6. Delete the AMD driver and install the updated driver.
You should now have a Catalyst Control Center.
This should now allow you to use the higher graphic card which should support the higher resolution.
