Won't SYnc

Maybe sombody can help me about my Ipod 30 GB 5G Video. Because last week i had a problem with my Hard Disk so i had to reformat it. so eventually all my i-unes files were erased. except for those in my Ipod.
And then i saw a topic here about manually copying ipod files, and i copied it in my computer. and when i opened I-Tunes I noticed that before everytime i opened I-tunes it would sync now it would not. and the Sync button in the files tab is grayed out. anyone please help me.

Check your iPod settings, it may be in manual mode. Connect your iPod and when it shows in iTunes click on the icon to being up the preference tabs. In the Summary tab look for "manually manage songs and videos" and "enable disk use". If these boxes are both checked then remove the check marks and click Apply, you iPod should sync automatically.

Podcasts won't sync - error "no longer exist"

i connected my ipod to sync to itunes. for some unknown reason, itunes was blanked out and when it synced, it wiped everything off my ipod. i reuploaded everything from my hard drive and subscribed to/downloaded podcasts. however, now when itunes syncs with my ipod, i get a message that the podcasts no longer exist so it won't sync. help! i miss my podcasts!!!

It has nothing to do with being authorised, that doesn't affect Podcasts. Plus, you already have them on your computer.
Did you have to change the settings for the Sync Podcasts? If you did, then you may need to perform another Sync to make sure the "change" has been implemented.
If not, then:
Have you previously managed to Sync Podcasts with this iPod?
Are they Podcasts, downloaded as Podcasts through iTunes?
Are they iTunes U programmes?
Are they video Podcasts?
Do you see any error messages when you Sync the iPod with iTunes?
Where, on your iPod, are you looking for the Podcasts?

I have moved my music to my new mac air but now it won't sync with my ipod or my iphone 4s

I have transferred mymusic to my new mac air from an acer laptop via an external hard drive and it's all there on the mac but now itunes won't sync with my ipod touch or my iphone 4s.
With the ipod it says 'iTunes could not connect to this iPhone. Could not connect to the device " It also doesn't show up at all in the devices section.
With the iphone it says there isn't enough space to sync even though I have experimented and unticked various things including photos which takes up a lot of space. It seems like it wants to sync with the empty space on the iphone (very small!) and not with the whole thing. I have tried various things suggested on this forum but have had no luck.

For the enugh space, you are trying to sync too much media to the iPhone

Voice Memos won't sync to iTunes anymore

So for some reason when I sync my iPhone 3G, the voice memos won't sync to my iTunes library.
The "Sync voice memos" box is checked and older voice memos from April and before synced in the past.
Now there's just a Voice Memos folder under my iPhone Tab and the new voice memos won't appear in my iTunes Library at all.
I want to convert them to Mp3 but that option is grayed out under the iPhone Voice Memos folder.
Is this just a bug? I recently bought a new computer running Windows 7, so I'm wondering if this is a common issue with iTunes?
Any suggestions?

1) I backed up and synced my ipod
2) deleted the voice memos playlist in iTunes (my playlist was empty already)
3) deselected "include voice memos" under the Music tab
4) clicked "Apply"
5) when sync was done, shut down iTunes
6) disconnected and reconnected iPhone and restarted iTunes
7) reselected "include voice memos" under the Music tab
8) clicked "Apply"
A new Voice Memo playlist was created with my voice memos in iTunes.
It's possible you can skip the step of deleting the playlist. I was just trying everything I could think of to get it going again. Maybe you can skip the whole first half and just shut down iTunes and reconnect device and sync again! So try and let us all know.
I think what was happening - and why it will work for some to upgrade their software - was because I had an iPod Touch with 3.1 syncing memos to iTunes before. Maybe the iPhone with ios 4 couldn't sync to the folder already created?

IOS4 large Voice Memos won't sync

I just upgraded my iPhone 3G(s) to iOS 4 yesterday and today I'm having problems with large Voice Memos. I use this heavily in my work with memos over 1 hour in length and never had a problem with syncing with my iTunes 9.2 (61) on my iMac/10.6.4.
Using iOS4 for the first time today I made 2 long recordings. One appears to have been corrupted on the iPhone (never happened before) and the other won't sync. I was able to pull both off using iPhone Explorer and the second can be added manually to iTunes and it plays fine.
Is there a bug in iOS4 Voice Memos for 3G(s) in this regard? Any suggestions?

I have this problem as well on a iPhone 3GS with OS4. Seems that OS4 broke some things. I had a 2 hour recording that wouldn't play on the iPhone. iTunes would sync the recording, but when I tried to play it on the PC, the PC kept saying it was not a recognized format. Short recordings worked just fine, just not long ones. Even ones that were just 15 minutes wouldn't work.

Downloaded and installed iPhone Explorer. Looked in the recording directory on the iPhone and sure enough, there was a MOV version of the recording still on my iPhone that was 2 weeks old. Copied it to my desktop and it plays just fine. Thanks guys for pointing out iPhone Explorer. Also found other MOV versions of recordings in that directory that I thought were gone because they were lengthly recordings. Your right, APPLE needs to fix this issue. At some point, all of the left over MOV versions of the recordings will eventually fill up the data space on the iPhone.

Voice Memos won't sync

I have two newly recorded voice memos that won't sync to iTunes. I have no issues syncing other voice memos, it is just with these two specific files. Is there a way to "force" iTunes to sync these files? Alternatively, is there another way to get these files onto my PC (they are apparenly too big to email or message directly from the Voice Memos app).

Voice Memos won't sync to iPhone

I have Voice Memo's in the "iTunes\iTunes Media\Voice Memos" Folder that won't sync across to my iPhone. Is there a way of getting them to transfer across?
I am using iOS 5 and iPhone 3GS 32GB.

believe me, i've got all settings correct.
I've been using voice memo for a long time and now for the first time it just won't sync at all
i've noticed lately that sometimes the voice memo doesn't sync,
I thought I operated wrongly, synced the iphone again, and was able to get the memos out.
BUT NOT THIS TIME
it's like permanently stopped working
I've got an important lecture in there and have to get it out asap
why doesn't apple even allow users to email large memos over wifi at least!??
this is really upsetting and disappointing

There is definitely a problem with iTunes 10.5 and iOS 5.0 syncing correctly. I've seen lots of workarounds on the forums here. Just search for it and see if you can come up with something that works.

Perhaps check to see if you're accidentally running two different versions of iTunes. There's some information on troubleshooting that in the Opening iTunes section of the following document:

My iPhone 5 music purchases won't sync?

I purchased some songs on my iPhone 5 and they won't sync to my iMac. They just sit in iTunes with the empty circles next to them. I have tried multiple syncs, plug/unplug it, and wifi sync but nothing will get them to download into iTunes. Suggestions?

Since updating to IOS5 my voice memos won't sync from iPhone4 to iTunes (macbook). They show in my iTunes but are grey so can't click on them. I need to put voice memos on a CD. Can someone help please?

First of all what PC type do you have, then what IOS are you running and finally what Itunes are you running.

(Some) Voice Memos Won't Sync

I'm having a problem with my voice memos. I noticed they won't sync if I plug my iphone into my computer before I've hit 'done' and named the voice memo. Even if I then hit done, name the memo, disconnect my phone, it never syncs after that. I've been searching the web and reading forums for months trying to figure this out with no luck.
