Won't update version of app world

My curve won't update app world, and when I try to download certain apps it says I need to upgrade app world. When I try to upgrade app world it is interrupted several times asking if I want to replace the current version with the new version, and I click yes but nothing happens. Help?

I suggest trying to update BlackBerry App World™ by going to www.blackberry.com/appworld/download and then restart the BlackBerry® smartphone.
Then access BlackBerry App World and you can download the latest applications.

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Note: Apple has removed over 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

Archive/trash Pages 5, after exporting all Pages 5 files to Pages '09 or Word .docx, and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

Unable to update latest BlackBerry App World software

I have tried several times to update the BlackBerry App World software on my Blackberry Curve 8520. But the update has not happened.
I have connected my mobile to the desktop and Connection to smart phone is successful. It did show my PN on the Browser. Updation of the App World Software just goes on without any info that it is complete. I left the device for the whole day.
So I am unable to download any software on my blackberry device.

BlackBerry App World™ 2.1 requires BlackBerry® Device Software v4.5 or higher. BlackBerry App World 3.1 requires BlackBerry® Device Software v5.0 or higher (Click "options", then "about" from your smartphone to check your version). Learn how to update your device software
A trackpad, trackball or touch screen
A service plan that includes access to the BlackBerry® Browser

Thanks SerZak! I lost my reply to your post. But I discovered I was logged out after the update. I logged back in and it was sorted. I wouldn't have worked this out on my own, so thank you for you help. Much appreciated.

Try re-indexing Spotlight.
Spotlight – Re-index
If worse comes to worse, and it is in your Purchases tab, delete 1.0.3 and download it again. You might need to do Spotlight again.

HT201064 Fresh Mavericks install, iPhoto installed from DVD - won't update via the App Store

Hi all
I did a fresh install of Mavericks, then installed a few apps from the App store.
I then remembered iPhoto etc. that I have from the original install discs (2012 MBP)...but whilst iPhoto says an update is available (9.5.1), and launches the App store it won't show as an update via the App store.
Anyone got any ideas?

Sadly you're mistaken. A 2012 MacBook Pro has no install DVDs. Apple stopped issuing install disks with new Macs soon after the permanent advent of the Mac App Store with OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Additionally, the version of the iLife apps; iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand that last came on install disks are not the Mac App Store (MAS) versions and are not compatible with being updated through the MAS.
The apps from that old disk that you have from another Mac may be updatable however, using the Software Update facility in the Apple menu.

Two of the phones have no problems both 16 gig
My Apple ID is the same on all my phones
The I phone 5 64 gig won't let me update my apps or download
Any new apps
I have changed my Apple ID
I have changed my e mail address
I have changed my password
I have the latest software update I s o 7.0.6 installed
Every-time I go to App Store & try update single or collective updates
The phone will just keep popping up with Apple ID & apple password
It won't update & it won't let me download
The other two handsets work fine & the details are the same
I have changed the I phone 5 twice both times like for like & still problem is they're

If you are using the same apple id on other devices and each of the other devices are updating the same apps sucessfully then you have an issue going on with the device being what's known as being a bit 'glitchy' What I would suggest you do is first to shut down the device completely by simply pressing on the sleep wake button, (power button on the top) for a period of 5-6 seconds untill you get the message to slide bar to shut down. Once the device is shut down and the wheel has stopped spinning, you are then free to restart the device.
Once the device is restarted then please go to settings>itunes and app store Once at this area of settings you can then click on the apple id is showing there you then can click on the apple id going to where it reads sign out, Once you've signed out go right back to that same area and sign back in with the same apple id.
What this is doing is simply logging you out and then back in with the same device.

To use the App World, I need to upgrade it, but I can't. I went to the site blackberry.com/appworld/support and blackberry.com/appworld/download but it didn't work. I want some apps and I can't download them without App World.

What happens when you try to download BlackBerry World? Are you getting a specific error message? Do you currently have an active BlackBerry data plan through your mobile service provider? What version of BlackBerry Device Software do you currently have installed?

Email verification page down and Blackberry identity update needed for app world

Hey!
don't know if anyone can help me, but I just got a Blackberry and did the whole creating a Blackberry id etc, now when I want to confirm my email address it says that the email confirmation feature is currently unavailable? Its been like that for 5 days now! And that sucks seeing as the link is only valid for 24 hours? wtf? How am I supposed to confirm in 24 hours if the link is down for more than that?!!!!!!
So as a result I cannot use app world as every time I go on it says 'a blackberry identity update is needed. Would you like to install now?' I then click yes and it then proceeds to tell me that my 'blackberry identity installation failed. Please try again later (80003), I can try until I am blue in the face without the admin fixing that **bleep** link its never going to work!!!!!!!!!!

IPhone5s with I.O.S 8.1 won't update or install apps.

I have googled and looked around for hours. My apps won't update or in stall. Everything just freezes!
I did a reset about 15 times, turned off auto update, don't have the WSJ app, I went through the purchases tab, i deleted half the apps (20 of 60) and still nothing.
Any thoughts?

This is frustrating. I deleted the WSJ app and now everything is working again. Great! Except it doesn't make sense and makes troubleshooting in the future difficult, especially for those that don't even have the WSJ (Newsstand) app installed. For those that come to this thread, here are the issues I was experiencing in case it helps: iPhone 6, iOS 8.1
1) I don't know of any changes, new installations, etc., but during the day yesterday while out and about, I noticed my Paper app (made by Facebook) stopped loading correctly. It would freeze on the last screen that was working a few minutes before, crash (go back to home screen), then upon reloading be blank and forever loading data/syncing animation.
2) Newly purchased apps on my iPad Air 2 had downloaded fine there, but my iPhone 6 with the issue in question (which has auto-download turned on for new apps) had the icons but wasn't downloading.
3) This is when I started noticing that no updates would start downloading in the App Store, and a number of apps wouldn't load anymore (either would hang at their respective startup screens or crash and go back to home screen): Paper (by Facebook, but the normal Facebook app worked fine), Evernote, Evernote's extension when trying to save to Evernote from other apps, Yelp. I don't know if there were others (I have over 200 apps installed), but plenty others worked fine. It was bizarre.
Solutions tried:
1) Restarting phone: issues persisted.
2) 2-button forced restart: issues persisted.
3) Force quitting all apps (double click home button then swipe up every open/running app), power cycled phone (held down sleep/wake button then slid red slider/X): issues persisted.
4) Signing out of iTunes/App Store account, restarting, then signing back in.
5) Signing out of iTunes/App Store account,, 2-button forced reset of iPhone 6, then signing back in. Same issues persisted.
6) Sliding down the for top for notification center, slid to the side for Today view, and removed all widget extensions (hoping maybe something would reset): issues persisted.
7) Cleared all notifications from Notification Center: issues persisted.
8) Deleted Evernote app (one of the apps that wasn't loading anymore and would only crash and go back to home screen), stopped all other apps in App Store trying to update or download, restarted phone, then tried downloading Evernote: wouldn't download just like the rest.
8) I gave up and was about to restore from backup next, when I decided to check Google and found this forum. I deleted the WSJ (Newsstand) app, power cycled (restarted) phone, and voila! Everything now works fine (app purchases download, app updates download, Yelp now works, Paper (Facebook) now works, Evernote now works). What gives?!?

2nd Generation iPod touch OS 4.1 won't update or install apps. Help?

Hello, I have a 2nd generation iPod touch and it will not update or install apps. When I try to update an app, or install an app the app icon turns gray and the loading bar comes up inside the icon and the it says, "Waiting...". Any help with how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Resetting your iPod should deleting the waiting and will probably solve your problem:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

My Apple Remote Desktop won't update in the App Store but it won't update. Any suggestions?

I just updated to Yosemite. Now Apple Remote Desktop shows up in the App Store as an update. However, double clicking yields an alert that it can't be updated through the store. The Alert advises that I have to go to the Apple menu Software Updater. That didn't work either.

I also have ARD 3 from the disk and just updated to Yosemite. Its up to date at Version 3.7.2 (372A19).
The "update" the App Store claims is Version 3.7.2 - Released Mar 17, 2014.
The error message I get is:
We could not complete your purchase.
Remote Desktop is already installed on this computer. Choose Software Update from the Apple menu to check for available updates.
This seems like a bug to me.

Metadata from iTunes won't update in music app?

My iTunes collection, for a number of reasons, has been very sloppy. Typos in artists or album names, mislabeled music, random capitalizations, etc. I dealt with it for a long time on my phone but it bothered me. After deciding a few weeks ago to get an iPhone 6 (with a much larger HD), I decided to clean it up. So I did; I went through my iTunes and fixed all the problems. On my computer, now, it's very orderly and easy to navigate. I just imported a new playlist to my new phone that I got this morning, and the SAME problems exist on the phone as used to on my old phone - even though the iTunes it's pulling the music phone is cleaned up.
How can I force the iPhone to update the metadata it's using? And where is my brand new phone getting this bad information from?

Have you tried downloading the recent version and installing it then?
