My iMac version is currently 10.7.5 and won't upgrade.

Some older iMacs cannot run any hgher than OS 10.7.5. Please do "About this Mac" from your Apple menu and, in the resulting window, click the "More Info..." button to get this:
Please tell us what the second line (immediately under the big word "iMac" says for your computer. As you see, mine says "27-inch Mid 2010." For security reasons, do not post your serial number in open forums.

My iPhone 4 refuses to upgrade to iOS7. I downloaded the GM release from the devcenter and tried using shift+restore in itunes to upgrade it and it doesn't work. It gives me error 11 or unknown. How do i fix this?

Itunes won't upgrade from 10.4.1 to 10.5.3

Got a free 6th gen ipod nano at work yesterday, come home to put music on it, needs itunes. I download and attempt to install the latest version of itunes for my system (vista 64bit), gets to the end and says a program wont load and cant install, so it undoes itself. finally find an itunes that will install on my computer, 10.4.1.10, but it wont recognize my ipod, and when i try to upgrade to 10.5.3 it still gives me the same error, does apple truly hate windows computers so much that they wont let simple programs install on windows systems?

Regarding 1) and 2), you may need to do something manually to get your schema files ready to be migrated, but the entries you should be able to migrate using the script. Compare with the 5.2 docs, http://docs.sun.com/source/816-6697-10/upgrade.html , for an idea. They don't cover 5.1, but do handle some of the major points for a 4.x to 5.x migration. This also sort of covers 4) and 5).

ITunes Won't Upgrade from within the Application

Today I clicked on "Help->Check for Updates" in iTunes(iTunes 10.1.1), after which iTunes displayed the message "iTunes 10.2 is available for download" . I clicked on "download itunes" and mouse pointer turned into an hourglass for about 30 seconds and then went back to an arrow. Nothing else happened. I then tried clicking on "Start->Programs->Apple Updater" .
The updated said it was checking for updates and then displayed "all software is up to date". I clicked on ok and then updater window closed.
I went to "Control Panel->programs and features" and then clicked the "repair" option for the Apple Updater application. That ran but the above symptoms did not change. When I tried updating again.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I can surely go to Apple's Web site, download the latest iTunes, and then install the upgrade, but I'd also like to fix the updater so that it works.

I tried looking downloading the skype app, and it wants a iOS 7 or higher. most of the apps I'm looking at want an iOS 7 or higher. I can't find what the compatibility is for my iPod touch, but then again i might be a little technologically challenged, and this is my first apple product.
How do find out which apps are compatible with my iPod and how do I upgrade the software. I did try the general settings and iTunes on my laptop, but both say that my software is up to date.
Not sure what kind of touch it is as I got it as a present, but here are the specs i can see:

That's what Illaas said. It's a 4th generation iPod Touch. It is NOT capable of running any version of iOS higher than 6.1.6. If you need to run iOS 7, you'll need to buy a newer one.

Satellite L670D won't upgrade from 6gb to 8gb RAM

When I first got my L670 I upgraded the RAM to 6gb by adding a 4gb module to the supplied 2gb. Everything has worked well for a year., but now I want to upgrade to the maximum 8gb. I bought another 4gb module to replace the 2gb.
However, the machine will not even address the BIOS unless the 2gb module is in the first bay. It will work as a 6gb machine with either 4gb module, and as a 2gb machine, but will not accept either of the 4 gb modules in the first bay or both 4gb modules together.
Anyone got any ideas about this?

Mac mini won't upgrade from osx 10.7.5 to Mavericks

I have a Mac Mini (mid2010) 2,4GHz Core2 duo 4Gb RAM with OSX 10.7.5 and when I try to download Mavericks through App Store I always get: "...unable to verify your computer.."
NOT a matter of Apple ID (works fine elsewhere), according to Apple support (OS X Mavericks: requisiti di sistema) it should download fine 'n easy but so it isn't.
Have tried a thousand times now, always the same. Anyone any clue?

IPod Touch won't update from iOS 3.1.3 to iOS 4

My second generation IPod touch won't upgrade from iOS 3.1.3 to iOS4. Everytime I plug it into the computer it tells me there's an update. I'll click theupdate and it will start backing up my files but it never gets beyond this point. What is the best way to fix this?

Safari won't open from dock after upgrading to leopard

I've upgraded from OS X 10.4.11 Tiger to OS X 10.5.2 Leopard with the upgrade DVD which arrived today and all the available Software Updates (which included a Safari update). No more Software Updates are available - I've checked.
Safari and Mail will now not open from the Dock. Neither will iChat, AddressBook, iDVD (which produces a pop-up saying it "quit unexpectedly" - it didn't appear to start at all), and iCal. Safari and Mail WILL open from my Applications folder thankfully. I haven't checked the other mentioned applications, except iDVD which does the same non-opening with pop-up from Applications too.
I have run permissions verification and permissions repair from Disc Utility on the Mac HD. I have run disc verification from there too and the result said the disc appears OK. Neither solved the Dock problem.
The icons in the Dock don't bounce or anything. They remain still and un-animated. I just get a pop-up message saying "You cannot use the application "Safari.app" with this version of Mac OS X". Which surprises me as it's a native Apple Mac application isn't it? Obviously it says "Mail.app" for mail, "iChat.app" for iChat etc.
I reinserted the Leopard installation DVD and installed all the applications from the Optional Install.mpkg folder, including Safari and Mail. This has made no noticeable difference: they still won't open from the dock. I have just noticed that an additional icon for Safari appears at the far (right hand) end of the dock when I open it from Applications. But it disappears when I close Safari, so no good for opening it.
It could be worse, I can actually open some of the applications from my Applications folder. But this is inconvenient and besides, it is supposed to work from the Dock.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Can anyone help me to solve it please?
I have backed-up (not using time machine - I backed-up before I upgraded). I hope to avoid having to erase and reinstall but I will IF that will solve this problem (and not cause any others

Dock icons are simply alias. The ones on your dock may be corrupted, especially since you can open Safari from the applications folder. To remove an icon, right click on it and select "remove from dock", or simply drag it off the dock, where it will disappear in a puff of virtual smoke.
Then, go to the Finder and single-click/hold any item you want on the dock. Drag it there.
Try Safari or the other apps again.
Specific to the Leopard upgrade, important any 3rd party items installed in your system are Leopard compatible, otherwise you'll have operational problems when using them.
One other thought. It is possible the Dock is corrupted, causing the problem. If the above does not resolve the problem, go to the Finder: Your User Account>Library>Preferences folder. There, move the com.apple.dock.plist and com.apple.dock.db files to the desktop, then relaunch the Finder (hold down the option/command/esc keys to reveal the Quit Panel. Select the Finder>relaunch.

Do you use iTunes Match?
That way all of your songs would be matched with the master song on the iTunes servers independently of iTunes on your Mac or PC...
