  • I was wondering how to log out of itunes library, NOT the store

I was wondering how to log out of an itunes library, NOT the store. There has to be some way to switch the account (not homesharing)

In terms of your iTunes library, the only account involve IS the store and homesharing.  There is no other account to log out of/ into ... what are you trying to accomplish?

  • How to figure out where non-deallocated objects are coming from?

When running the instruments program and checking the "net" box on the left side, is see that as I run my program the counts for various object types keep increasing. As my program is a simple one where the user is going from page to page, I will assume that these increases are the mark of a memory leak. The system is not detecting these as leaks but certainly my block count should stay more or less constant. I see that I am leaking some CGImage blocks; how do I find out where in the code these blocks are coming from; how to I go the line of code that create a particular block?

Instruments has plug-in tools. Which tool are you working with?

You can look in Firefox Button > Add-ons
You can add the following extension to list them for you. Adds a button in Firefox 4 Add-ons window/tab "Dump List". Click that button, window opens, if you just want extension names and version only, un-check everything except version, then save the list to a file by clicking save at the bottom of the window it opens or highlight the list, then Ctrl+C to copy, open Notepad, Wordpad or another application (Word), and paste, then save if you wish:

  • Where can I find my add ons

In the past, when I opened the Add Ons area, it showed me the ones I've already got. I can't find that at all.
I've tried to load one a couple of times, but I can't tell if it's installed or not. I'm looking for an auto fill add on. I'm using Firefox 6 on a Dell laptop.

Are you not able to open the add-ons manager.
    Try using
    * Tools -> Add-ons (use keyboard key '''Alt''' first if you need to display the menubar.
    * or just key into the location bar '''''about:addons''''' and hit the return key
    * or use the three keyboard keys '''Ctrl + Shift + A'''
That should open in a new tab. <br/>Next click on the tab to the left marked '''Extensions''' that should display your installed add-ons with status information about them, and buttons to enable or disable.

  • I can't find tools, add-ons, Sync (tabs, bookmarks, etc.). I've clicked on every clickable thing. Where is all this stuff? I prefer a menu with words I can read rather than pictures I have to guess, but I've clicked on every icon and can't find anything.

I just need someone to tell me how to access my add-ons, tools, options, Firefox Sync (including my tabs and bookmarks from other computers), and so on. Where did it all go?

Do you see what is missing when you hit the '''Alt''' key on your keyboard?

  • Finding IE Add Ons & Extensions

Chrome is currently my preferred browser but I recently noticed that it takes a lot of my computer resources to run Chrome. I truly beleive in what Microsoft is trying to accomplish with their hardware (cell phones, tablets and X BOX). The main complaint
I hear about microsoft phones is the lack of apps. The same can be said about the microsoft browser. There are not very many add ons or extensions available to help customize the browsing experience. If their are add ons and extensions available I do not know
where to find them. Google and Apple both have centralized locations to find apps. Why not do the same for IE? Why not include a button in IE explorer that took me too a place where trusted add ons could be download and uploaded. (I emphasize TRUSTED because
I got a virus trying to install Ad Block)This idea could be used for all of the Microsoft Office programs.

Unfortunately your post is off topic here, in the TechNet Site Feedback forum, because it is not Feedback about the TechNet Website or Subscription.  This is only one forum among the many
that are on the TechNet Discussion Forums, and given your post, you likely chose the wrong forum.  This is a standard response I’ve written up in advance to help many people (thousands, really.) who post their question in this forum in error, but please
don’t ignore it.  The links I share below I’ve collected to help you get right where you need to go with your issue.
For technical issues with Microsoft products that you would run into as an
end user of those products, one great source of info and help is
http://answers.microsoft.com, which has sections for Windows, Hotmail, Office, IE, and other products. Office related forums are also here:

For Technical issues with Microsoft products that you might have as an
IT professional (like technical installation issues, or other IT issues), you should head to the TechNet Discussion forums at
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-us, and search for your product name.
For issues with products you might have as a Developer (like how to talk to APIs, what version of software do what, or other developer issues), you should head to the MSDN discussion forums at
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-us, and search for your product or issue.
If you’re asking a question particularly about one of the Microsoft Dynamics products, a great place to start is here:
    http://community.dynamics.com/
If you really think your issue is related to the subscription or the TechNet Website, and I screwed up, I apologize!  Please repost your question to the discussion forum and include much more
detail about your problem, that could include screenshots of the issue (do not include subscription information or product keys in your screenshots!), and/or links to the problem you’re seeing.
If you really had no idea where to post this question but you still posted it here, you still shouldn’t have because we have a forum just for you!  It’s called the Where is the forum for…?

Did Microsoft call you out of the blue about your computer?
    No, they didn't.

  • I can't find my add-ons after installing them

I have downloaded several add-ons they appear in my "download" file, I run them through the exchange manager and they still do not appear in the Window/Extension as they are supposed to.  Any suggestions what I need to do?  Thank you in advance.  I found one of the add-ons in an Adobe Folder under Plugins/Panels.  I don't find it inside the program though.  I am currently using Photoshop CC 2014.

    Dear Sheri
Not all of our add-ons are compatible with PS CC 2014, so please check the compatibility of each from the Add-ons website.
If the ones you are having trouble with are marked as compatible with PS CC 2014 then please list the add-ons in your response and we will look further into the installation process to guide you.
Please also check the 'Where to Find it' section from https://creative.adobe.com/addons/my_addons
Remember, installation should be automatic in most cases so long as you keep the main application closed (Photoshop) during acquisition of the product. There should be no need to locate the ZXP in your Downloads folder unless explicitly directed to do so from the installation instructions/Where To Find It section of the add-on.
    Regards,
    Krystal

  • Clicking the Firefox icon is fine but if I open a new tab it seems Yahoo carries out the search. How can I get rid of Yahoo (not add-ons).

Clicking the Firefox icon to open it is fine but if I open a new tab (Control T) it seems Yahoo carries out the search. How can I get rid of Yahoo? It's not in Tools Add-ons or Extensions and Windows control panel doesn't show Yahoo either.
I must have downloaded something that smuggled Yahoo in, but what?

  • Why is firefox defaulting to yahoo search i tried reinstalling and can find no add ons or plugins

still see yahoo/avast on the search line on start up of firefox also in any further searches it goes to yahoo cant find it in extensions or add ons or add remove programs
    checked the question sites

If you see Avast then it is likely that Avast software is causing this issue and you need to check the settings in that program and also disable extensions added by Avast to Firefox.

  • How to get rid of old extensions and add-ons

How can I remove add-ons and extensions? Or, how can I check compatibility ? I've read the FAQ's, they are useless. There are no "remove" buttons. There are no "check compatibility" buttons. Firefox just updated to 7.0 and now my add-ons are disabled, and I would like to uninstall them and delete them from my computer if they are of no use anymore.

Thank you for the reply. Sounds like the extension manager needs to be re-written if it can't manage extensions. I would think the extension manager would at least tell me what/where the application that installed it was. I have some Java Development Toolkit plugin that says it is a script library for use with "deploy". I can't find any Java Development Toolkit on my computer, so I guess I'll just leave it disabled until the firefox people can fix their broken extension manager.
Thanks for taking the time to try and help me though cor-el.

  • Where are old themes / add-ons

I had an old theme I liked. I used the feature to make it compatible with an update of Firefox, but before I updated to Firefox 9.0.1 I uninstalled the theme. I can't find it on the add-ons website anymore & I was wondering where I can find it in my profile or wherever it might be. It was a Penn State theme, but not the one by "Muff" currently seen when you search add-ons for "Penn State". Not sure about who created it or what the theme is specifically named.
    Thanks

    Anything here?

  • How can I have a VMWare repository for add-ons

I have a virtual environment and need to be able to put add-ons/extensions in one shared directory so all my clients can access them. I do not want the users to have to install them. Is there anyway to do this?

You're welcome. Could you mark the problem as solved, that along with the comment you already made helps other users with similar problems find aspects of Firefox and try things out for themselves, Thanks.

  • Iwill be replacing my HD and loading Win 7. Once done I will install Firefox. How doe I back up my bookmarks, toolbars, add-ons and reinstall them. I want my Firefox to be identical on W7 and it is now on XP Pro.

I have PC w/ XP Pro. HD going bad. Will replace and load Win 7 32bit. How can I back up my current Firefox so when I install on new HD the Firefox is identical to my currrent set up and all add-on, bookmarks, etc?

There are some add-ons and utilities that can be used to copy the profile folder (location where user data is stored). The first one is the FEBE add-on ([https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/febe/]) which can be used to copy a profile. Another option is the free MozBackup utility ([http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/])

  • Somehow my firefox icon at the google search bar is missing. it happened once before. don't remember how I fixed it. had to do with add-ons or plug-ins. it was a real easy fix to restore but don't remember

Somehow my firefox logo is missing at the google search bar. I used to see the firefox logo when I opened firefox. Now all I see is the box to put the search terms in, nothing else. This happened once before and there was a real simple fix - but don't remember. it had to do with plug-ins or add-ons. I'm using xp

same problem here for the past two days till this morning when I created a new profile and removed ALL addons from the default profile. With the new profile with NO addons, I got to the sites with video that I had problem with and flash player did work.
Now, I only have three addons that have not created the problem; adblock, flashgot, and flashblock.
Create a new profile and check it out.
