Wondering if I sync my ipod music it would delete my pics.

Ok so I have had an ipod for some time now but I had it on another computer. So this summer I got a new comp and my songs are all transfered to it but I got new songs but i'm scared that syncing my ipod with my new music will delete my pics that took forever to put up.

Of course it will. That's the concept of "synchronization."
The pics were available on the old computer, weren't they? You did transfer them to the new computer, didn't you?

No I wasn't. To be honest I have essentially given up as even if I can fix it, disk space is cheaper than life is long!
Using the NAS in general is no problem. In fact, once iTunes got beyond the initial working out of what needed to be removed from and copied to the iPod, having all my MP3s on the NAS and copying direct to the iPod was no issue.
Following some sage (and frankly scary!) advice at ilounge (http://forums.ilounge.com/showthread.php?t=163611), I've decided to keep two copies of my MP3s. The fact that my fiendish NAS plan has failed is hurting more than the not-all-that-traumatic reality of duplicating 140GB of files if truth be told!

Try taking it to the nearest Apple Store. They should have computers there that they can use to get your iPhone out of recovery mode. Make an appointment first.

Synced ipod music to itunes and now its gone?

I tried to sync my ipod music to itunes by selecting music and then sync music. Itunes then told me the songs were erased from my ipod and the sync was completed, but i couldn't find the songs in my music or in my cloud or anywhere on my computer. It then told me to sign in to authenticate my song purchases so i did and then it only synced 11 of my songs that i bought through itunes using my account but not the others that i did not use itunes to purchase. I synced the other non-itunes purchased songs without loging in so could that have effected it? Is there a way i can get my 500+ other songs back?

Are you saying that before the music was on your iPod and not in yur iTunes library on yr computer and now it is in neither place?
If so then
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
you will have to get other music from where yo obtained them before.
The problem was that you synced the iPod to other than the one syncing computer/library y can have.

How can I sync my iPod Touch to a new computer?

My Laptop's hard drive died: that's bad enough, but my data was backed up onto my iPod Touch, including some very rare tunes that I can't ever get again. You should Reset your iPod, by
1. Press Menu and Center button simultaneously for about 10 Secs till the Apple Logo comes ON.
2. Disconnect the sync cable.
3. Check the iPod Welcome screen, select language, go to menu (if you are lucky, your music are still on the iPod.)
if your iPod doesn't show the Welcome screen, bring it to Apple Store.
If the above is okay, (can see Menu but no Music)
4. Close iTunes and Reboot your PC.
5. Start iTunes
6. Connect the iPod to the Sync cable.
7. if iTunes ask to Restore, please do so.
8. Sync your iPod. ( I would advise you to disconnect from Internet and stop the Antivirus program when doing this.)
