Wondering why my iphone 5S is getting hot and burning the battery all of a sudden.
My iphone 5s is getting hot and burning the battery quickly. I have tried closing apps, turning off and on, etc but still occuring. Ideas?
ok well if you do that would be a good reason why
but if not it could be that you have a hardware problem

Since iphone5 6.1.3 upgrade mine has been running hot and totally reduced the battery life. Before I was getting 2days out of it. Now it's half a day ... No new apps and I've been closing down fully all apps. I think something is definitely up with 6.1.3
Are there many others experiencing this?The number of apps that run in the background are very few and far between. An app being in the recently used apps bar or dock means just that for the most part - the app was recently used only and is not running.
Have you powered your iPhone off and on and/or tried a reset which is similar to a computer restart since the update was installed?
Are you accessing an Exchange account with the Mail app on your iPhone? -
HTC one M8 keeps getting hot and quickly draining battery, anyone else experienced this?
every couple of days my HTC one M8 gets hot to the touch and I noticed the batter display may show as high as 90% but it will die with in 5 minutes, one time i restarted it and it showed 30% battery left. i'm thinking the battery is already going bad even though the phone is only a few months old, any other ideas? I did check and nothing is running in the back ground. I stopped playing any games after it did it once and it's done it several time since so don't think its a game / app issue. thanks!

I'm so sorry to learn of these issues with your device. Let's take a closer look into this OK? How long has this been going on? When the device gets hot, is it being used or is it in standby mode? My I phone 5 got very hot actually boiling hot although it was not exposed to any external heat ...it was fully charged and within 10 minutes it was half charged 50% and within one minute it was shut down ... Tried re charging through the computer and through the power but no response the phone is totally black... Tried connecting to I tunes and no response.. The thing is that I bought the I phone 5 on the 23 rd December 2012 from Manhattan new York and I live in Qatar and there is no service centre in qatar .. I am now without a phone although I paid 706$ and that's a big amount .. I am disappointed .. I bought an original phone from the original apple store and I ended up with a product that didn't survive for a month.. What quality assurance do the apple have on their products...I need help here

Well, I checked the iphone and the battery charged going from the bolt to the plug in the upper right hand corner very quickly. On my other cell phones, charging took a REAL long time.
Again, is this normal? I unplugged the iphone from the charger and I am going to monitor the battery power today. I find it odd that the battery would work on standby for 4 days without recharging the battery and then start doing something wacky. Any thoughts? -

- A case makes it harder for the iPOd to disipate the heat that occurs during operation of the iPod. During heavy use like gaming, the iPod can get quite warm.
- I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since hot warm is hot is subjective. Make sure you bring the case. -
