Wont burn or back up purchases

i have just bought a brand new ipod classic 80gb. and bought a few albums off itunes.
but every time i try to burn the albums the drawer ejects the disk, there all blank cd disks.
apple support told me to erase all apple applications as i did. and installed them again but still wont burn.
now getting a error code of 2131.
can someone help plz

We are all itunes users just like you. We cannot refund anything.
There are no refunds, but you can try contacting itunes support. Click "Support" at the top of this page, then click the link under "Contact Us"

my phone wont let me back up to icloud, even after purchasing the additional storage i needed. does anyone know why or how i can fix this?

You need to be on wifi to do a backup. And you need to be plugged in to power for it to automatically backup each night.
How much space is it estimating your backup to be?

Itunes wont burn SD 11 anymore

I am on panther and did an update of my Logic 7 QT and Itunes the other day. I would always bounce my Logic 7 files to an SD11 file and burn through Itunes but since I did the update Itunes wont burn sd11 it just has a message saying itunes cant recognise files it will burn Aiff's but that means I have to change so many files should I go back to the previous version or am I doing something wrong I have checked the pref / burn panes and it only gives me aac........

Wont burn--says blank disc is full

Hi there,
Having a problem with iphoto 5.04, trying to burn 446 meg of photos to a disc. When it asks for a blank disc (have tried 3) it comes up saying the disc is full and wont burn it.
sound familliar? is there a way around this? am i missing something?

I have the same issue today.
Since I had a problem of booting so that I reconstructed library by using option start. However I cannot back up the library images to DVD now.
Toast works so that this is not Pioneer superdrive issue.

Wont burn properly

Hey guys wondering some tips for my DVD drive. My Project wont burn. When its done burning and formating on Pro or Imovie the disk simply has nothing on it. iv tried several variety of DVD-Rs.
Any suggestions?

what happens when you use Simulator befor you burn?
have you placed a video in a video track and is it set for first play?
what does the log say about the burn process?
what happens when you play it back in DVD Player?

Back up purchases, file too large

Hi. I have itunes 10 and have been running into a problem backing up purchases. I have a CD writer/dvd reader on my laptop. When I go to back up my purchases, it tells me that I have a file that is too large for a cd and I need to insert a dvd. I am given no other options. The only thing I can do at this point is cancel the back up. I don't have a dvd writer so I just haven't been able to back up my purchases and I'm getting nervous because they are just piling up.

The backup CDs will not "play" because they are not audio CDs. They are data CDs. An audio CD will only hold ~15-20 songs. A data CD will hold ~120 songs.

It is also the library files whcih hold additional data (ratings and such) that are not actually part of the music files.
Would you recommend just making a compressed copy of my itunes folder in an alternate location?
You would not get much compression since the files are already compressed but yes, making a backup in an alternate location (on a completely different drive) is what you should do. You can use SyncToy as recommended by turingtest2.

To migrate your phone to a new account, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep on the phone, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; your other devices won't be effected by this), provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone (if using iOS 7) and choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted . Then sign back in with your new Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data to the new account.

If you are referring to an iDevice, sign out of your new Apple ID and sign back in with your old one - they should all be there.

I found this on a Roxio forum, but it offers the best advice I have seen anywhere about this error.
Basically, it is most likely the media or the speed you are trying to burn at. It could be a few other things, but those are the most likely culprits.

Dvd wont burn movie all the way

The dvd is 4.7 GB and the movie is 4.1 the dvd wont burn the whole movie it stops a little before the movie is over. HOw do we burn a long movie onto dvd?

What is the total playing time of your movie? iDVD 5 has a 120 minute limit, including menus, in the Best Quality setting or a 60 minute limit in the Best Performance setting. The size of the files is not the determining factor, just the playing time.
