Wont download new purchases

Hello, Why wont Ipod download new purchased music. It states "computer does not have permission to download"
Thanks

Check your folder:   Documents - Music - My Music - iTunes
If the songs have not been deleted on the PC used to sync the iPod, you can import them back into iTUnes
Open iTunes - FIle - Add Folder to Library

my facetime wont turn on in my settings for iphone 4......also itunes wont download new update 4.3.2.....plz help

Had exact same problem. Rang Apple support and various apple repairers. All of them said in effect, too bad, you'll have to lose everything since your last backup. It's a work phone with very important stuff on it and the latest backup was on a computer that had a virus. Convergence of crap :/
Happened to talk to a friend who said to try replacing the battery. Did that. Problem fixed. All data saved.
To all Apple support people: rather than say 'once it's in recovery mode you lose all data' try saying 'replace your battery and see if that works first'!!!!

  • ITunes won't download new purchases

Starting a few months ago, iTunes has refused to download new purchases. When I tell it to check for new downloads, I get the message "all purchases have been downloaded for this apple id". However, there are plenty of purchases - dozens at this point - still available on iCloud which it hasn't downloaded. They show up as purchased when I search for them in the store, but obviously I'm not going to manually search through the store for every single purchase I've made in the past three months and click the "download" link.
This seems to be an issue which started with many users in March and remains unresolved. Oddly, the free Color Zen app from the Apple Store app did show up as a pending download, without me even having to tell it to check. On Windows this isn't even meant to be possible!
Is iCloud broken again? If it's been like this for three months I have to believe that something has gone horribly wrong that Apple can't be bothered to fix.

I had this issue, and it's kind of resolved now.
Make sure that you have "Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases" enabled in your iTunes preferences by going to iTunes > Preferences in the Store tab and clicking OK.
I still get the same error, "All purchases have been downloaded for this Apple ID" when I try to download all previous purchases at once, but now I can download each genre individually by right clicking the genre and clicking 'download'.

  • Itunes on windows vista not downloading new purchases

I recently received an Inspiron E1505, and am running windows Vista Basic. I have Itunes 7, and it works fine except for when I purchase music. Then it receives an error of connection timing out or unable to download the songs. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I've tried bypassing my router, disabling all firewalls (McAffee, Windows, and Windows Defender), contacted Dell and my ISP, and now I'm at a loss. Please help?

I am having exactly same problems as have been mentioned with my new machine and I too am running Vista. Has anybody any suggestions or been able to find a solution? I have been able to download some purchases, which initially came up with this same message and then later successfully downloaded. I have another purchase just sitting waiting to be downloaded but now keep getting this 3259 connection timing out error.

  • Wont download my purchase Error -3259

iTunes wont download the album that I purchased. It says that the network connection timed out. How can I fix this?

I found that if you close Itunes, go into your save directory (where you actually save your data), go into the download folder and delete every .tmp file in there. then close explorer and re-open Itunes, and let it try to download these files again. There has to be a problem with the latest version of Itunes because I never had this problem before. It's ridiculous. It's almost like it's set up to if it gets any delay while downloading, whatsover, it will error out to the (-50) and eventually, it will not let you download the file at all. Just delete the temporary download and have it start from scratch until Apple's geniuses can fix the stupid problem. (don't let them get away with saying "It's your firewall" BS...because it worked like a charm for months and months with the exact same firewall I had. I didn't change it....what changed??? Itunes did, and does all the time, then instead of beta testing it to make sure it works before they release it, they let us be the guinea pigs who have to put up with all the error downloads and such. "Oops, we are so sorry, thanks for being our tester's that we didnt' have to hire to get the results we got from you for free....and at your expense.....our next release should have a fix for you. Good luck".

  • HT1353 My Ipod 5th generation doesnt download new purchased music

When connecting My Ipod to Itunes,it itunes doesnt download music purchased.I tunes works for my 2 iphones.?

What exactly happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

  • IPod wont download videos purchased from i tunes please help.

itunes shows that the tv shows are there but they wont transfer when i update

Smae problem here ??? I have a 60gb ipod video and cannot synch the "for the birds" video purchased from itunes. I have updted all my ipod and itunes software to no avail.
I even went through their tutorial and downloaded the sample .m4v video from their site (their test procedure) and everything with that sample file synched fine.
I suspect that there is some form of protection that is not allowing the "for the birds" video which was purchased to synch to my own ipod.
    No error messages are reported.
    Any help????

  • Wont download the purchase

im am in iraq right deployed and the internet they have here goes out everyonce in awhile and it went out in the middle of downloading and stopped...i know i can only download once but it didnt download and wont let me...it comes up with an error=8807...at the bottom of the download screen it says i have 19 downloads available...any knid help will do

Hello, and thanks for serving. We hope you'll be coming home safely and soon.
Look under the Store menu in iTunes for the "Check for available downloads" command and run that. You may find the tracks there to be downloaded and be able to continue from there. If not, if there is any web/download accelerator on your system, try disabling that; download accelerators often cause problems with the iTunes Store. Firewalls, privacy filters, and antivirus/antispyware utilities can also cause problems, the latter being most likely to affect a download (firewalls more likely would completely block access to the iTunes Store).
If nothing there helps, there may not be much you can do. Apple's contracts with the content owners require that Apple prohibit access to a given country's iTunes Store from outside the country. Thus far, to the best of my knowledge, it's only been by policy, but there have been some indications that Apple's introduced technical means to limit access to those within the country. But if you continue to have problems, you can contact the iTunes Store Customer Service department using the form on their Contact page and explain the problem. If they can't help you correct the problem with downloading, they may at least be able to refund the purchases that you can't get downloaded.
    Good luck, and best regards.

  • My iTunes wont download my purchases error (-50)

It just wont work. I have 8 downloads pending and none of them will work.
iTunes is not blocked on my firewall.
    Ive tried restarting my computer.
I just want to be able to download the things I paid for fair and square!!!

  • Installed 8.1- now itunes wont download my purchases

I've tried numerous of time to get my downloads but, it keeps saying that the store is temporarly unavailabe. But i can go to the store normally.
    Anyone else have this problem?

My computer is a Mac, but I have been having a similar problem. I purchased songs that wouldn't download. The download was interrupted with a message referring to "a required iTunes component (-4204)" that was missing.
I have received the same message when attempting to sync my iPod to my computer, and even to play songs purchased on iTunes on my computer.
When I attempted to synch, it said that I wasn't authorized to use the songs (more than 1,000) I had purchased on my computer. I was offered a chance to reauthorize with my current password, but then it didn't recognize my password.
    Help!

  • Please help!  Nano wont sync new purchases.

My ipod was recently registered on a laptop. The laptop died & I didn't have my songs backed up. I am back on the regular desktop computer which had old ipod info on it. I now have many more songs on my ipod than what is on the itune screen. I purchased new songs yesterday from Itunes & tried to sync them & it says that it is syncing but it doesn't bring over the new songs. How can I get both the computer & the ipod to have the same information.

iPod's are only meant to be synced with one iTunes library. But if you have 'Manually Manage Music and Videos' enabled you can drag and drop the files in iTunes to your iPod.
To manually manage you'll click on your iPod under 'Devices' in iTunes. Scroll down until you see options and check off 'Manually Manage Music and Videos'.
