WONT OPEN A NEW CANVAS

Everytime i open my fireworks and then select open new and
click ok my fireworks freezes and a have to close it down someone
help me :) !

it wont let me click any of those icons listed.
Somehow I'm picturing GB reaching out and grabbing your arm. But I'm sure you don't mean it won't let you, but rather nothing happens when you click the buttons, yes? (because if you have a version of GB that has an Arm, I'll buy it from you!)
The first two things I would suggest trying, in order:
o Repair Permissions
o Delete GB's prefs Files
. (Search your Hard Drive for "GarageBand" and delete the files that end in ".plist" and ".cs")

app store wont open in new iPhone 4S. Just bought it this afternoon.
Only get a blank page.????

We've had the same problem with our iPhone 4s too. I've had mine for a couple of months and just since Christmas have noticed that it sometimes won't load either.....just a nice white screen. My husband on the other hand just got an identical phone to me a few days ago and it's even worse for getting on to the app site. What is going on? Even my son's iPod since Christmas has had difficulty getting on to it too.
I was told that it's basically an overload on the Apple server....understandable but where is the fix for this problem? I'm looking through all forums and can't find anything. I'm almost thinking of calling Customer Service again, but I've got other things to be doing than trying to troubleshoot this issue.
Can anyone help????

Wont open a new project

When you open garageband it comes up with usually a list of what you want to do new music project new podcast and so on. For some reason it wont let me click any of those icons listed. I cant even click the help sign. Well then i tried to click new under file and it wont let me do that either. It just does nothing when i click it. But if i open a pervios recording i did it will come up with that recording and i can do everything else but open a new recording and clicking some of those icons. I have no clue what it could be but im thinking it could be its missing a code for allowing me to do that but i might be wrong. Please repost if you no whats causing this.

After closing firefox 7.0.1,win7 64bit,and reopenning,tabs on toolbar are there but wont open (something new).

Something new today. I am getting recently viewed tabs on the task bar (each of these may have a few tabs) which appear on the taskbar but wont open. In order to get something to open I have to reclick on the Firefox icon on the desktop. Then that session opens okay with multiple windows and tabs...but those other tabs remain unopennable .When hovering over them on the task bar they show blank boxes, whereas the others look ok.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the files sessionstore.js [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well. 
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

My Safari app wont open a new tab and crashes if I try, I've tried closing all apps and reopening. Its a new ipad air and only started doing this after I synched with itunes.

I have a new iPad Air. Since I synched it with my itunes account - all my details have been uploaded which is great but Safari will only work with one page open. If I try to open a new Tab it crashes. I have tried turning it off and on again. I tried closing all my apps that were open - including Safari and opening it again. Not sure what else to try.

1. Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data
2. Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple Logo

Wont open a new tab.. Im clicking on the + but nothing happens

So I have a Dell XPS L702X laptop (win7.64) and a Microsoft surface pro both running the same version of FF. Same bookmarks and everything. I went through all the setting on both and compared all. Set them both to be exactly the same. But on my laptop (since the latest update) I cant open a new tab by clicking on the + or by using ctrl+shift+P. Nothing works. Its like the feature has been shut off but the + is still here and it even highlights when I hover my cursor over it. SO next I completely uninstalled FF and reinstalled the latest again. But its still not working. Oh and btw it works fine on my surface and other computers.

This can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Community Toolbar extension have recently been reported to cause such an issue.

hello, it looks like you're running a very outdated version of firefox & old plugins - this is a grave security risk, since there have been dozens of critical vulnerabilities fixed since firefox 3.6 was released (that was over two years ago).
you need to take the following steps as soon as possible:
* download & [[Install Firefox on Windows|install]] the latest version of firefox from getfirefox.com
* check your plugins at https://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/ & update all of those which are out of date
* you might also want to [[Uninstalling toolbars|remove all toolbars]] that you've installed since they can cause problems. in firefox go to tools > addons > extensions and uninstall Yahoo! Toolbar, Conduit Engine, Radio TV 2.1 Community Toolbar & Ask Toolbar. afterwards you might want to run the [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/searchreset/ searchreset extension] to restore the search settings that conduit has overwritten...
* do a full scan of your system with your security software

Wont open in new tab

when i right click to open link in a new tab , the new tab is blank and wont load the page. But, if I right click and open in a new window it loads the page just fine. This is after I upgraded to firefox 4.

Thank for the fast response. I restarted in safe mode, disabled all add-ons; then restarted again and it works with new tabs. I went back into manage add-ons and enabled the ones i was sure of and really needed.
Seems to be working fine now. Again, Thanks for the fast help.

Iphoto wont open on new macbookpro post migration of library from powerbook

I recently purchased a macbookpro and transferred my data using migration assistant. now iphoto won't open, tells me to upgrade iphoto library. so i did that but the upgrade won't install. please help!

Migration assistance does not handle the iPhoto library well sometimes - the best way is to drag the bad iphoto library from the pictures folder on the new system to the desktop, connect the two systems together (network, firewire target mode, etc) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old system to the pictures folder of the new system and launch iPhoto on the new system - it will open and convert the iPhoto library as necessary and you will be fine - once you test the iPhoto library you can delete the one on the desktop

In order to help resolve this issue where your iTunes application will not launch on your Mac, I'd like you to please follow the directions in the article below to reinstall iTunes.
Download the latest installer
Open Safari or another web browser.
Go to the iTunes download webpage and click the Free Download button.
Make sure that the Mac OS X version is selected on that page.
Click the Download button to start the download.
Once the file is downloaded, a new Finder window appears containing two items (below). If a Finder window doesn't appear, locate the iTunesX.dmg file (where X is the iTunes version number) on the desktop (or wherever your downloads go) and double-click it to display these items:
A "Read Before You Install iTunes" file. This document contains the system requirements for the version of iTunes, and may contain other useful information about installing.
An iTunes.mpkg file (this is the installer file itself).
Install iTunes
Quit iTunes if it is currently open.
Double-click the iTunes.mpkg file. This opens the Installer application in Mac OS X.

Domain wont open on new computer

hi ive recently upgraded to a new imac G5 intel duo core with i life 08.
i transfered my i web site from library / application / support / iweb/ domain
but it is not opening on my new computer. any suggestions?

I thought of that too but then thought (I'm becoming a thinker!) that permissions for others usually is set to read by default which would enable her to open it at least...
To change permissions of the Domain file
Select Domain file press Command(Apple)+i under Ownership & Permissions go to =>Details =>Others and select Read & Write
You have to do that in the original user account and computer in which the Domain file was created.
If you don’t change permissions you will find an error while publishing and saving.
Other thought: what's the size of the domain file? (in KB or MB)
If it's very low it might be an empty one (some people here report that updating iWeb the domain gets emptied...)
Do you have a backup of it or another copy on the original computer?

I have tried to click on the button to make new mail, tried in file and also command N.
If I minimize mail and try the above they all work.
It has always worked before but today swtiching on my MacBook Pro I get nothing.

Itunes wont open on new hard drive

I left my pc in for repair a few weeks ago and when I got it back I could not access i Tunes. I had to download iTunes again which I did but I cannot get into it. I just get the message 'the file "i Tunes Library.itl" cannot be read bedcause it was created by a newer version of i Tunes'.
How do I manage to get back into i Tunes and sync/update my phone apps?

Itunes wont open, needs newer version of quicktime, but newest is installed

I installed IMesh a while back and as soon as I did my Itunes refused to open. Everytime I try to open it, it says "Quicktime version 7.1 is installed, Itunes requires Quicktime 7.1.3 or later. Please reinstall Itunes". So then I tried numerous times to reinstall Itunes, uninstall it and then reinstall it, used the installer cleanup thing, and even tried to install Quicktime and Itunes separately - I feel like it's still malfunctioning because of Imesh, even though I deleted iMesh entirely. Please help! I'm absolutely desperate.

okay. let's try swapping out your QuickTime one more time.
head into your Add/Remove programs. uninstall QuickTime.
Next, we’ll manually remove any leftover program files and folders.
1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
3. Open Program Files.
4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx.
7. Restart your computer.
next, we'll get a fresh copy of QuickTime into your PC by doing a repair install of itunes.
switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the repair install.
go into Add/Remove and select itunes. click "Change" and then click "Repair".
if the repair install goes through okay, restart the PC and try launching itunes again. does it launch properly now?

Why do my apps keep crashing/wont open? new iOS7 problem.

On my iOS 7 software upgrade to my iphone5, it will not open itunes and keeps crashing when I am in other apps.
Is this a bug that will eventually get fixed? Its really annoying.

You have to check your memory. If it says 0 bytes you may have to delete a couple songs that you dont really want or a lot of unnecessary photos/videos to free up your phone.
Go to: Settings>General>Usage. Then look to see how many bytes of free memory there is. If it says 0 then walla!! Time to delete.
The tricky part is even if you delete a couple it may not pop up in the free bytes that you have freed up any bytes but just know that as long as you delete some stuff to make room there should be that much room. Deleting apps doesnt really work that well but photos and songs work a lot better. This should work, try it and ket me know how it goes!
If not then more then likely your going to have to delete that app and download it again.
