Wont recognize SIMM card

The iPhone will not recgnize the SIMM card. Went to AT&T and replaced the SIMM card.
Still no luck but placed it into the old Treo phone and it works fine. So we know the SIMM is good.
Placed it back in the iPhone and it still wont work. This is a pre-ordered phone via the internet.
1 800 myiphone could not help either. Anyone have any ideas???

What is the exact error message you see on the iPhone?
Have you tried to completely power down the iPhone (hold the power button down until you see the red slider -- then slide the red slider). Next, hook the iPhone up to iTunes on a computer with Internet access. Then be sure the phone powers on.

Iphoto wont recognize memory card to load pictures

all of a sudden iphoto wont recognize the memory card to import pictures. when you put card in reader iphoto launches but you dont see the card on the left hand side and it doesnt ask you to import the pictures. If you remove the card you get device removal error - then card appears on left and import button shows up but nothing happens when you push the button??
If you go to Finder the card is there and i can "select all" and drag them to iphoto. This is really strange - please help?

If your card shows up in the Finder then you can still import from inside iPhoto. Do File > Import to Library, then navigate to the camera card. You can preview the photos, select the ones you want to import, and import them to iPhoto. This is actually my preferred method, since it allows me to choose exactly which photos I want to upload from my camera.
Don't remove the card reader from the USB port until you have ejected it properly. You can do that from in the Finder. Click on the little triangle eject symbol next to the name of the card (below your HD icon). When the card disappears from the list it is properly ejected and you may safely disconnect the card reader.
I don't know why the card suddenly stopped appearing in the iPhoto Source List. One thing you can try is to use your camera to do a low-level format of the card. This has been known to improve a card's performance. The second thing you can try is to delete iPhoto's preference file. Close iPhoto. Use the Finder to navigate to Macintosh HD/ Users/ (your user name)/ Library/ Preferences/ com.apple.iPhoto.plist, then move that file to the trash. You'll have to reset iPhoto's preferences back to your liking after you launch it.

My rebel T6s wont recognize sd card

Within the last few days, I purchased a Rebel T6s 760D. Today upon, open the box and setting the camera up, I foud that not one SD card can be be formatted or recognizable in the camera. I've used over 7 different perfectly good SD cards that have worked in the past on other Canons. Each time I put a SD card in the camera it says, "Card annot be accessed." Each time I try to format the card it says, "cannot format, change card." Please help. Thank you

Micro SD's will not work.I suggest going out and getting a brand new top of the line SD card and trying it. I suggest a SanDisk - Ultra 8GB SDHC UHS-I Class 10 Memory Card. That is what I'm running in my T6i right now. The 8g will run you about 14 bucks at a big box store.Also if there is any data on your cards you might want to low level format them on your computer and hopefully the camera will be able to read it then I suggest you format it on the camera.Good luck.

Wont recognize GL2

Ok so my imac broke and I got a new one and ever since then, I cannot upload from my GL2 into FCE. I use the DV NTSC Firewire basic like usual and still wont even let me capture anything. This is getting very frustrating and I have even tried capturing from my mom's sony dv camera and it wont recognize that either. I have tried that camera on multipe capture settings with no success. Someone help me please!!!

FireWire - Sure not using the accompany USB-Cable but bought a 4-pin to 6-pin FW one ?
• Test another FW-Cable very often the problem maker.
Camera
• Test Your Camera on another Mac so that DV-in still works OK
• Toogle in iMovie pref. Play-back via Camera (on<->off some times)
• Some Cameras has a Menu where You must select DV-out to get it to work
• Camera connected to "charger" (mains adaptor) - not just on battery

Sorry to say it is to easy to turn the 6-pin end of the FW-cable 180 deg wrong.
This is lethal to the A/D-chip in the Camera = needs an expensive repair.
(Hard to find out - else than import/export to another Mac ceased to work
everything else is OK eg recording and playback to TV)

Try to avoid connecting Camera <--> external HD <--> Mac but import directly to the Mac then move

Hi Bengt W, I tried it all, but nothing worked. Your answer has been helpfull insofar as all the different trials led to the conclusion that there was something wrong with my iMovie software. I therefore threw everything away and reinstalled iMovie from the HD. After that the exportation of DV videos (there has not been any problem with HDV videos) to my Sony camcorders worked properly as it did before. Thank you. LKN 1935

Thanks for all your suggestions. What I learned is that I had a software problem. I had something called "Nikon Transfer" on my Mac that was recognizing my Canon camcorder as a still camera and was preventing iMovie from working properly. After uninstalling Nikon Transfer and doing a reboot, everything worked great.
I never liked the Nikon Transfer software anyway--I guess I'll get a cheap card reader and use that to transfer photos in the future.

The problem was the external backup hard drive that is connected, you need to disconect the external drive before the mac can see the video camera.

System wont recognize AGP Speed Setting

When I go into my ATi settings interface I set my graphics card to run at 4x. My system then resets to test the new setting and when I go back the system reads that the agp setting is back to 1x. I should be able to set my graphics card to 4x and 8x but my computer wont recognize it or accept it. What do I do

I'd uninstall catalyst first using cat uninstaller, then after reboot delete the ATI folder left over. Then install chipset, and reboot.

Also disableing fastwrites is a good idea for a 9600xt.

my notebook MSI Gt60 0ND wont recognize USB 3.0 mass storage device (WD), Western digital my passport 1TB USB 3.0 \ USB 2.0Compatible.
i connect the WD my passport to the SS USB 3.0 but it wont be recognized it only gives it electricity to spin but that's it, on the other hand if i connect it to the USB2.0 it is recognized.
i installed all the drivers from MSI to this computer the Intel USB 3.0 and the Intel chipset which are the only drivers that can be related to this.
i use windows 7, even when i had windows 8 it didn't work.
i tried upgrading the Western digital my passport firmware and even got the software thought that maybe it could help but still no luck.. any one got any idea for a solution ?

Does anything else work when you plug it into your USB 3.0 port? How about a mouse? Keyboard? Another USB Flash drive?
If nothing works in that port, your USB 3.0 port or card is probably bad. RMA time.

Alright, Im not an idiot and I read every post related to this subject. I reviewed each of the following links and did everything they told me to do:

I recently upgraded to the newest iTunes version and now my older Ipod is no longer recognized by my computer. iTunes doesnt open, it just gives me an error message in the bottom right corner saying Unknown Device. Ive tried looking for / updating drivers, reseting, everything and nothing works. I tried every USB port on my laptop as well. Running Win XP. Can anyone offer any other suggestions on how i can fix this???

Its been working perfectly for 4 years until last week. I have the USB/FireWire combo for hooking it up to my computer. It worked with all the older version of iTunes and now that 7.1.1 is on there, it wont recognize it at all. The computer is convinced there are no drivers for the "unknown device" and all searches performed for the missing drivers come up empty. The computer cannot see the iPod as an iPod, and none of this happened until I downloaded the most recent iTunes.

Windows Wont Recognize

I'm updating my Dads iPod for him and for the first time ever, Windows/iTunes wont recognize it.
On the iPods display screen it says do not dissconnect so its not my USB ports nor the cable. Any ideas?

Same problem. I can see the itunes store so not a problem with windows firewall. The account is active on my iphone so i know i am not locked out. I can connect the PC to my iphone so i know itunes is working ok. It is just logging into itunes on this pc which doesn't work. Only thing I can think of is that the email address I use for my apple id has been offline for a while and is working again now, I'm wondering whether this has been the case for others who are having this issue?

Palm TX no longer recognizes SD cards!!!

I have two Palm TX's and have been using Lexar SD, Sandisk SD, and Sandisk Ultra II SD cards (all are 2G cards) for months without any problems. This past week, I went through airport security with both TX's and all these cards, and now all but 1 SD card is NO longer recognized by the TX. I have done a soft reset, a hard reset, and still these cards cannot be recognized (the TX's message) by the unit. The odd thing is one TX can recognize one of the 2G cards just fine. Weird
I tried a 512M Lexar SD card, but it couldn't recognize that one either and the 512M card never went through airport security, it stayed home.
Any idea what is wrong or what I can do? Anyone experience this themselves?

To clarify, they both went through the metal detectors and were placed in my carry-on luggage. Everything I've read online so far tells me that these machines should not harm my Palm TX, but both are experiencing the same issues. They can no longer recognize ANY SD cards. Is the card port shorted out or something? When I insert a card, the TX asks me if I want to format it, when I tap 'yes', it then tells me it cannot recognize the card. When I tap on 'card info', it recognizes there is an SD card inserted, but cannot read any of the specifics of the card. PLEASE, someone...help.......
